Posted 10 years agoActually had a pretty up then down, moving up again day :/
Rhy's family came over to help fix up our yard to hoa's standard, since we haven't done much but cut grass since we moved in last year and it was getting a bit unruly. I'm super grateful for them since I'm not very useful outside due to some of my medical issues...especially in this heat. (I'm photosensitive and tend to pass out in the heat, particularly when I overexert myself.) They were out there 4-5 hours...and I felt SO guilty, especially since both his parents also have health issues. I was feeling pretty good this morning, running around making cinnamon buns/drinks/sandwiches for everyone, but I still felt guilty, so I ended up outside trying to help with some of the gnarlier weeds curled up in the top of a bush (among other things). I took breaks, coming inside and sitting down about every 15 minutes.
When they finally left, I was totally beat, so I put some chicken in the stove for Rhy's dinner, took a shower and crawled in bed with a migraine level headache...until I jumped up, rushing to the bathroom and getting sick. When I brushed my teeth afterwards, part of a tooth I've had a cavity in for a while fell in the sink. So after my freak out over that, I cleaned up, then I got upset and started crying because I never seem to be able to do anything right (especially health wise). Rhy, bless him, finishes helping me get a container of peaches open, then comes over and hugs me. He kisses my forehead and says "I know you feel bad a lot, but as long as you're trying that's all I ask." And I'm all emotional and uncharacteristically like "swoon" because really, that was incredibly sweet :33 Then he sticks his ice cold water to my back and starts making weird noises/voices from movies...pretty sure a Skeksis from Dark Crystal was somehow involved because for whatever reason I find the noises they make extremely amusing. And I'm laughing and smacking his arm because he's a dork and I love him and I love that he knows how to make me feel better and laugh despite how upset I am. Good bear, best bae~
I'm actually feeling a bit better now, still a bit gross feeling, my head hurts and I'm sore all over...but I'm so lucky and happy to have someone who loves me so much in my life.

Just to clarify, since I know we're in the last little while before the con.
To insure having time for this, I'll be taking a week off of other commissions (that are not already in my to-do box). Icons are typically finished 24-48 hours after the order is confirmed via note or message.
