INCOMING... I guess. Also hi, I'm alive.
General | Posted 3 years agoIncoming catch-up art dump... it's not a lot, but I'm planning a bit of an overhaul as things in social media land get increasingly weird. Twitter became my most active but... well, you know. I'm still there, but I am trying to clear the dust from other places and have tidied up a little first.
I am around, just not as active on my gallery sites anymore as art to post halted for a bit. The dump may or may not include various plush things over the years, but quite honestly I am revamping my tumblr and instagram for that.
It was been a very WEIRD few years... yes for everyone, but for me specifically. I am fine sharing if you, reader, want to read it; but I am also trying to streamline some things and have already written a lovely summary here on my tumblr, lol. Highlights include:
• Moving like, twice
• Conventions!
• The empty void during the Panoramic
• All kinds of health scares!
• Recovery?????
• Job-hopping, sorta
Anyway, hoping to get back to things I love doing without some aspect of my life preventing me from doing it. But much has changed. Thank you if you are still here, and welcome if you just found me. Either way, hi. ♥

Fuzzi Status, June 2019 (Commissions Soon!)
General | Posted 6 years agoUhhhh, hi. Trying my best to get back to regular updates. A lot has happened, as usual. A status update for anyone wondering; but also future plans.
Where DA HECK YOU BEEN?!
• I had a physically and emotionally taxing job! Boy did I whine about it alot!
I liked the work, but couldn't sustain a job that constantly used all of my spoons. I was unable to come home and be creative outside of con prep, which was very tough; much less post on all my social media.
• I've actually been doing a lot of conventions!
These have included FWA, AC, Megaplex, and MFF! Updating my profile page [or other relevant spot to post] to which con I'll be appearing at next.
• I've been doing plush stuff!
I know I don't post my plush things as much here on my gallery sites... simply because product photography takes a lot of time I didn't always have. For conventions I do a lot more plush things and have less art to show for. XD I wanna change this, tho.
• I'm far more active on twitter!
It's just... much easier to post what's going on there, tbh, lol.
Are you better now?
• Maybe! I have since left that job, a decision for my physical and emotional health.
I made this decision in April with little thought of what my next move was, but I did intend to take a much needed break from the rat race.
• Emotionally not in the clear from some other things in life going on, but I've been creating and arting. It's quite cathartic.
So now what?
• I am looking into many different endeavours!
One of these is expanding to more conventions, should whatever employment plans allow. (Doing some freelance and odd jobs so far, looking for something more stable that suits my needs.)
• Oh yeah! COMMISSIONS!
I wanted to declare them open at the time of this post, but I'm taking some time to get fully and efficiently organzied before I officially open. I'm interested in offering both art and plush if you have ever been interested in either from me. There's a chance I may revisit some very old queries to be fair. If you have a quote from me that's older than 6mo, tho; please ask again!
• I hope to offer a larger variety of convention and off-season items and options!
I've recently acquired some new equipment with which to craft, and I want to do GREAT THINGS with it. I'll need time to tinker, however.
• Patreon?!?!
It... exists. Lol, I'm not sure what I'm doing with it yet, to be honest. It's currently a glorified tip jar, and yes I jumped on the thing to get grandfathered in. XD
Anything else?

New Job!
I got hired at a pet store chain in mid July where I am a happy mom-thing to adorable rodents and ferrets. Occasionally reptiles and birbs, but my jurisdiction is the fuzzy ones, hehe. It's an insanely fun job despite being retail and being an animal person at heart... it's therapeutic being there.
New Furbaby!
Long story ([link] if curious)... but a symptom of working at a pet store seems to be eventually taking someone home, LOL. I adopted an adorable little catsnake. Her name is Noodle. I love her.
Yes, there is already art of her. <_<;
New Outlook!
Just wanted to say that I've been much happier with more financial stability and a pet in my life, lol.
I am still trying to run FuzziMutt Creations on the side; but it's taken me a bit of time to adjust to new schedules and routines.
Commission Stuff★ On hold until after the holidays, but tbh, I've pretty much cleared my queue. (Apologies to the couple odd ones out if you're reading; I haven't forgotten!)
★ My updated ToS is still a thing! Found on my profile page and right here: [link]. The form system will still be in effect, but I'll need to edit stuff as I made it mostly for my commission special.
★ I want to finally get to opening for ★ Custom FuzziPlush! ★ I've been trying to plan it for awhile, but I couldn't commit to it in time for the holidays. Soon tho, and previous interest will be considered!

Two cons this year, which is what I've wanted to do more of, so yay! I'll be starting my inventory waaaay in advance since the two cons are relatively close together. Depending on how things go, I might look into one more of the year (possibly Megaplex!)
★ PET STUFF. Might be a thing possibly? For Halloween I was commissioned to make an adorable [bearded lizard costume] and I really loved the challenge. Not to mention I've already made nesting items for my own furbaby. We'll see how that goes. <_<
★ I have an amazing[ly large] plush commission that I've not yet posted and for the life of me... I don't know why. XD It'll be around soon, maybe with some fanfare.

★ Oh hey, I cleaned up my commission info! (*points to above links*) I felt it was a bit wordy/clunky; and also some prices HAVE been adjusted. I find that I have to rely a little more on art for income, so I'm trying to keep it fair but a bit more substantial that what it was.
★ I have done the thing and purged my Waitlist; but lingering projects WILL be addressed. I wasn't quite ready to open for new plush work because of some projects leftover from FWA, and a longer project that's almost done.
★ Queue will be fully updated tonight; I've been letting it go for a bit for various reasons. -.-; My apologies.
Other/Misc Stuff★ The etsy store is still plenty full of plush to adopt! Things aren't selling quite as well as I'd hoped... despite the awesome amount of traffic; so just thought I'd put that out there. ^^;;
★ I thought maybe AnthroCon and Megaplex would be a thing... it's looking like they may not happen simply because of finances. ._. Next year, tho!

FWA 2016 Recap / Commission announcement
General | Posted 9 years agoTHANK YOU!!!!!Hi everyone who found me from FWA! (And even those who found me just before! I've had a rise in watchers and I'm like whaaaaat!) Thanks for the +watch and stuff! I'm in a weird transitional period of wanting to post more plush stuff, but I do still art occasionally. XD
If you were wondering, yes,
fuzzimutt is me as well. I grabbed the account name to avoid confusion; this account is simply much older.
FWA 2016 Recap★ It was great! Had a bit of a mishap that caused me to miss a day in the Dealer's Den... D: But did pretty okay despite the hiccup. Sorry if I completely missed anyone that day.
★ I did come home with FuzziPuffs and pillow props that need homes. They will be listed in my etsy store as soon as I photograph the ones that need it. I'll announce their posting on my tumblr and twitter.
★ Met all kinds of new frands and some fursuit crushes. XD Some of them I had no clue because they were out of suit, haaa.
★ If anyone went to the Dad's Garage improv show and has photos/video of the speed dating sketch, I'm looking for them... I was the sheep. :B
★ As always, gonna do better next year with preparedness. Next time I hope to have more art available [as prints] to go along with plush stuff. I do love my plush end, but I hate not having my art side fairly repped as well.
IMPORTANT COMMISSION STUFF★ As mentioned, I will be purging my waitlist very soon. I am changing my process so interested persons don't have to wait around forever while current commissions get shuffled around being completed. What I will do is open dedicated slots specifically for the types of commissions I would like to take at the moment. This means art and plush can overlap (aka, not restricted to one particular list); but this way I can focus more intently on certain types of projects, therefore completing them in a more timely manner.
★ Current Waitlisted folks WILL have a chance first when I open whatever slots they were interested in. It will, however, be based on whom is ready at the moment to continue (payment wise). This is to thank you for your patience in being stuck on my waitlist forever and a half. x_x; My apologies... I hate turning down interest but often bite off more than I can chew.
★ I do have some FWA-related commissions to account for when I open for these new slots. Since a couple are already paid for, they will have to take priority.
★ Currently working on some older large commissions that I wasn't able to finish pre-FWA, but after these are taken care of, I'll start opening for new ones.
Other/Misc StuffI'm trying to vary posting art and plush stuff, but obviously at some times of the year there's one more than the other, lol. I'm undecided whether I may want to split my galleries... not likely, but I'll see.
Thinking of other furry cons to do and possible Megaplex and AnthroCon plans? This is REALLY foggy right now, tho. Don't quote me on it. I have yet to travel out of state as a vendor and there's a lot more involved, for sure.

Confession-- I don't update this journal as much as I should and have a habit of copypasta from my dA journal. Seeing how it seems to be more active for me here on FA, this might become a more main one.
Update + Commission Stuff★ I've been doing plush stuff and not posting it all. XD You can always see what I'm up to on my plush tumblr, and things that don't end up there are always under "completed" on my Trello page. *gestures to top-links up there*
★ The only arting I've done is a personal Mutt ref that's been taking me months because busy. It'll pop up soon.
★ I will be purging / reforming my commission waitlist, tbh. I don't feel it's fair to keep people waiting forever while current/new projects drag on... I just have issues turning down interest. (Thank you all. ;_; ) er... I'll make a formal declaration before doing this; don't worry, I'll keep those actually listed in mind. Your patience means a lot to me, even if we are not technically in business yet.
★ I'm not sure what method will replace this besides a periodic "slot system," really. I didn't think I'd have to resort to such, but for the types of things I want to do (including periodic etsy inventory) may have to rely on this.
★ Queue progress has been severely stunted the past month and a half thanks to this other thing, tho~

General | Posted 10 years agoBig Ol' UpdateSorry for the silence! I've been pretty busy tackling holiday orders after settling in to my new home and studio— which is just great. Once I get it all organized, I'll need to take photos. But yes, I'm all moved in finally. A thing I've been trying to do for probably a year or more and I'm happy to have finally been able to make the jump. ;w;
But thanks to the new space and increased FuzziMutt activity I'll be making some important changes.
~*~ Important Workflow Changes! ~*~Etsy Store:
I think I've decided to remove most (if not all) Made-to-Order listings for a bit, as they kept [unfairly] bumping ongoing projects back as the more time-sensitive item. What I will do instead is make and list items periodically and as I go. This unfortunately means you may have to keep an eye out for any particular plush you're looking for (ie, my quite popular FuzziPuffs and any FuzziPlush), but it means I can fill the shop while working on ongoing and custom projects.
Commissions/Custom Projects:
First off, I'm aware it looks like things have slowed/stopped in my queue, my apologies that this move and stuff has slowed an already busy holiday rush. Getting back on track this week, tho! My new expanded space will allow me to work on commissions and longer projects more easily. These will be my focus (with the help of some better scheduling) while also filling the etsy shop. I am still closed for now to address my mile-long waitlist, however... as some have been waiting for a while. >.< Once the holidays are over I'll be contacting anyone waiting!
Misc Life UpdatesI haven't been able to do non-plush art in a while and I do miss it... but I just don't have the time before the holidays are over. Well, nothing besides art for the wedding a couple months back and some random D&D-purposed doodles, I guess. They may show up. Once I slow down I'll have to draw lots.
... On that note, job-hunting is still a thing. A growing business is great, but until it is actually full-time-level sustainable, I might need some extra income. Anyone need a part-time Mutt? Lol. Anyway, late posting but back to work on some things before waking up to sew sew sew!

I'm sorry to anyone who seems to keep getting bumped back from etsy orders and other time-sensitive things. Going to totally redo the way and order things are handled now that I'll have a little room to spread out and get organized.
Life UpdateThe wedding last month went very well, if anyone remembers that, lol. Everyone, bride and groom included, worked their tails off so things turned out amazing. I do have some art I did for the couple which I hope I can post soonish; but things are chaotic. I am making the actual move uh... next week? @_@ I'm admittedly not even close to packed up and this all happened a bit fast. But I will be SUCH a happy Mutt when things resume some sense of normal.
My birthday is also thrown in somewhere this month. Too busy, doesn't matter. XD But it's a big'un. Like, no longer a 20-something kinda big'un. =\ Maybe I'm feeling some kind of way about getting "old." *avoids doing crazy stuff*

XD There have been many quote requests pouring in; and while I am normally happy to address them all, I’m afraid I need to take a week off and finish up some projects for a wedding I'm in this weekend.
During this time I unfortunately can’t answer any in-depth messages, emails, notes, or PMs (ie, custom plush quotes). My Commission Queue will freeze for the duration (after mailing remaining etsy orders) since I have a lot of wedding art to finish; and I will not be accepting new waitlist/quote requests.
This time will be brief and after the wedding I should be back up to speed and ready to address any inquires you might have while projects resume.

I've just been mega-busy as of late because of life events (moving, jobhunting, bridesmaiding, and still attempting my real freelancing jorb. ^^;) There is always more plush stuff if you locate FuzziMutt Creations on your social network of choice. *gestures to journal header or profile page*

I am thankful for all fans of whatever I post, let me reiterate... thank you all. But I felt like I was grasping at straws when journals and polls with genuine interest questions about fundraising went largely unanswered. ;_; It may happen later; but I didn't get enough interest at the time to make a move, really. And now things are too busy to pursue... so maybe some other time. Plus I do have outstanding commissions that may help a little.
Also from now on, I'll try to be less verbose, lol. This is split into sections accordingly.
CommissionsOn hold for now, as current ones ARE happening! As always, if you're awaiting something or just want to peek at progress, you can always find it on my Trello Page, updated daily. Going at molasses pace right now because of a wealth of personal obligations, I apologize. Also, for future ref; finished commissions (especially plush) aren't posted immediately. Photo comp and editing do take time I have to account for, so it is not reflective of how fast things get done. :3

Short version is I may need to take some fund-raising special commissions to get my poor Cintiq repaired (using an old backup tablet and boy the transition backwards is hard. >_<) But I'm having trouble garnering interest on dA looking at my all-too-quiet poll, which doesn't surprise me lately. So I'll ask around here since it seems to be a more common thing.
I've never done this type of thing before, but I would like to explore some YCH options. First thoughts are:
• YCH Tinies / Chibis from inexpensive, set-price base poses (Examples: [tiny] / [chibi] )
• YCH interactions with my OCs: Mutt, Nuno, or someone else (sorta example: [link] )
• A full illustration with various YCH character spots (Something of [this caliber], for a nice portfolio-worthy piece.)
The first two are something I could deliver relatively quickly, but the third would admittedly take some time to plan and sketch out... and likely a while to finish completely as it's a type of piece I'm not used to constantly creating. So I am aware of concerns about seeing enough to know what is being paid for, lol.
Whether or not you could participate/contribute, is this something that catches anyone's interest? o:

Things are weird. FuzziMutt business (plush stuff) is doing pretty great and I'm pretty proud, but I'm running into a few issues... elaborated further if you read on. My [professional] freelancing is a bit quiet and I'm still trying to update and makeover my portfolio somehow between all the plush things and side commissions. I'm a bit stuck as far as career/employment-related things and have a couple choices to make. =\
Broken Cintiq. :( My beloved 21UX Cintiq and tool of my trade... broke. T___T
The digitizer that recognizes Wacom styluses has stopped working, as diagnosed by a couple people and Wacom themselves. It can be repaired for a decent cost, but one I can't afford right now since moving is in my future. Thankfully I have my old brick of an Intuos tablet to keep arting with, but the transition has been harsh and art happens a lot slower and with more stress than I expect. #firstworldproblems, maybe... but I ask if you are familiar with working at 110% speed and then being bumped down to like 75% speed but with the same workload. ;_;
What this means is a possible bout of fund-raising commissions in the future... maybe? Because the irony is that it will take a bit longer to finish them. ^^; I still have a few folks wait-listed for various things art AND plush, but I don't think it'll be enough to take care of repair costs. So there is a YCH idea I've been juggling for a while and may run some polls by to garner interest. I could, of course, bring back the FuzziChibis, but feels odd after my most recent giftart spree. =\ Weighing some options.
Patreon...?It's not because "everyone's doing it," I've been genuinely asked if I'd consider one, lol. I would love to, actually... for both art AND plush stuff— I have SO many ideas. Chibi and plush giveaways, comic stuff, I'd be hyped. But naturally, I'd need a significant amount of interest for it to be sustainable. That and I'd need to get out and settled into a new place with a studio if I were to take it seriously... and sadly that's a goal creeping further away with financial setbacks like my Cintiq and stuff. Therefore, I really need to pick up some stable work for a little bit to beef my savings back up and THAT would lead to less art time. It all seems horribly ironic and is kinda stressing me, but hey, LIFE, lol.
TL;DR-- I am honored that SOMEone out there wants to throw me money, but I want to be able to keep up content production... and for that right now I need money. DX ADULTHOOD IS HARD.
Other StuffsIn other news, I had the pleasure of attending princessrei + 
odin36519's adorable wedding. ;w; Congratulations once again, you two. It was such an honor to share your special day, even if I was a bit elusive, lol.
Otherwise, I've just been trying my best to work through the oldest commission slots and stuff. Etsy orders keep interrupting, which is not a negative thing, but a frustrating one until I find a fitting way to handle the order of things (without having to temporarily close the store!). I'm finally getting to my wait-listed folks, however, so expect to hear from me soonish... and I guess commissions are back open, especially if I think of a fund-raiser. That's it for now, really. Look for some polls soon, tho.

Trello, Con Stuff, and... Frustrations. =\

Sorry I go so long between updates... it's kinda standard now, lol. Maybe it's because I'm always so verbose.
... Straight to the point(s)... <__<;;
So, I made it about 2 months ago, but I forgot to officially mention my Trello Page for a central place to keep up with my commission queue. It's much easier than trying to keep the same current info on multiple sites, AND I can further keep up some semblance of a waitlist. It is updated as-I-go (so like, daily) and I can even throw in WIP photos and images. o: It's quite a nice platform for such things and I see why many artists have jumped into using it. I've since updated my queue links in my journal header ^ and on my profile page.
Con StuffWent to MomoCon; not to sell but for fun. Still one of my favorite cons, and it has grown so much. I believe it turned 10 this year with a brand new venue and cool new things. ;_; I cosplayed a little, but admittedly I need to rethink my future plans and focus a little more on all the wonderful activities, resources, networking, and business opportunities. (Wow, am I getting old..?) Lol, it's certainly not that I can't do all of these things AND have fun and cosplay... I just missed a lot of Con for the wrong reason and may be having some regrets.
I'm still not 100% sure about having a table at this particular Con, but I bet you I'll cave in by next year. :B
Commissions and... Frustrations.On that note, I've actually been pretty booked since FWA, especially with plush stuff! Thank you everyone in my queue— this year has been amazingly prosperous and successful and I like it, I do.
But I have to confess that I'm not equipped to get things done as fast as I'd like, and for this I apologize. D: My living space is limited and doesn't allow for working on multiple [plush] projects at once, so I tend to focus on one at a time. That'd be fine and all... except I seem to have tripped myself up in the way I handle etsy orders in the mix as well. I treat my etsy orders very professionally, as it IS my online store, after all. But I'm held to faster turnaround times on made-to-order items, often bumping things in the queue down or out of order. I don't mean to treat off-etsy commissions any LESS professionally... but since my store has been so busy, it's pushed a lot of older or large commissions back further and further and honestly I'm not sure the best way to remedy this without closing my store for a bit, which I really don't want to do. ;__;
This on top of being stuck on a particularly old AND lengthy plush project at the moment is making me feel like nothing is getting done very fast. (It is, but one project is taking weeks!) I'm enjoying most of it... just taking forever. So I've certainly tried to keep everyone waiting for something updated... just know that things ARE moving forward as best they can. ~__~

Other StuffsI'm househunting, finally. It's hard. XD Looking mostly for, obviously, MORE SPACE to do more craft and plush things. We'll see how that goes. I'll at least announce when I make the big move.
Also, please forgive any random artstuffs... I love plush things but I do miss digital art and haven't done any in quite some time. T__T Gotta get it out of my system. I think that's my other frustration... not enough hours in the day to make art for others AND myself at a pace I can manage. Sure, that can be remedied with the proper scheduling; but super hard if "real" work is a factor and all the other things I do in a day.

Sorry I go so long between updates... it's kinda standard now, lol. Maybe it's because I'm always so verbose.
... Straight to the point(s)... <__<;;
So, I made it about 2 months ago, but I forgot to officially mention my Trello Page for a central place to keep up with my commission queue. It's much easier than trying to keep the same current info on multiple sites, AND I can further keep up some semblance of a waitlist. It is updated as-I-go (so like, daily) and I can even throw in WIP photos and images. o: It's quite a nice platform for such things and I see why many artists have jumped into using it. I've since updated my queue links in my journal header ^ and on my profile page.
Con StuffWent to MomoCon; not to sell but for fun. Still one of my favorite cons, and it has grown so much. I believe it turned 10 this year with a brand new venue and cool new things. ;_; I cosplayed a little, but admittedly I need to rethink my future plans and focus a little more on all the wonderful activities, resources, networking, and business opportunities. (Wow, am I getting old..?) Lol, it's certainly not that I can't do all of these things AND have fun and cosplay... I just missed a lot of Con for the wrong reason and may be having some regrets.
I'm still not 100% sure about having a table at this particular Con, but I bet you I'll cave in by next year. :B
Commissions and... Frustrations.On that note, I've actually been pretty booked since FWA, especially with plush stuff! Thank you everyone in my queue— this year has been amazingly prosperous and successful and I like it, I do.
But I have to confess that I'm not equipped to get things done as fast as I'd like, and for this I apologize. D: My living space is limited and doesn't allow for working on multiple [plush] projects at once, so I tend to focus on one at a time. That'd be fine and all... except I seem to have tripped myself up in the way I handle etsy orders in the mix as well. I treat my etsy orders very professionally, as it IS my online store, after all. But I'm held to faster turnaround times on made-to-order items, often bumping things in the queue down or out of order. I don't mean to treat off-etsy commissions any LESS professionally... but since my store has been so busy, it's pushed a lot of older or large commissions back further and further and honestly I'm not sure the best way to remedy this without closing my store for a bit, which I really don't want to do. ;__;
This on top of being stuck on a particularly old AND lengthy plush project at the moment is making me feel like nothing is getting done very fast. (It is, but one project is taking weeks!) I'm enjoying most of it... just taking forever. So I've certainly tried to keep everyone waiting for something updated... just know that things ARE moving forward as best they can. ~__~

Other StuffsI'm househunting, finally. It's hard. XD Looking mostly for, obviously, MORE SPACE to do more craft and plush things. We'll see how that goes. I'll at least announce when I make the big move.
Also, please forgive any random artstuffs... I love plush things but I do miss digital art and haven't done any in quite some time. T__T Gotta get it out of my system. I think that's my other frustration... not enough hours in the day to make art for others AND myself at a pace I can manage. Sure, that can be remedied with the proper scheduling; but super hard if "real" work is a factor and all the other things I do in a day.
Sorry... I'm whining. I'll get it together soon. If you're waiting on something from me, believe me, it's accounted for.

This was not my first time at FWA, but it was my first time vending there. And I was a little blown away to be so well-received. Thank you everyone who came by the table and took home a plush! Sales were better than I've had in my 4 years of vending at cons... so I honestly think I was in the wrong place. XD Sorry, AWA, I think I found my new home.
To be fair, it was probably the new plushies I developed seemingly out of nowhere weeks before the con, and now I dont regret it at all. XD They are called FuzziPuffs and they are fat and cute and small and honestly more affordable than my signature plush. If you've ever wanted a certain animal in FuzziMutt style, they will be up as made-to-order listings in my Etsy shop VERY shortly. ^_^
I am catching up with any correspondence about commissions, trades, etc. a bit slowly, so I will update my queue in the next few days to reflect the changes. Commissions are on-hold until I figure out what I need to get done and in what order, but still open to discussion if anyone from the con finds me here!

I've been driving myself crazy with the increase in freelance work AND much prosperity in the etsy shop. XD I probably have a lot of plush stuff I could post glimpses of, but I have plans to do that on the FuzziMutt tumblr or facebook page. Check out my FuzziTravels series while you're there and you can learn about FuzziPup's recent trip to Vegas and LA. :3
Anyway, I'm glad for all the business... as employment has been odd. The 2D industry is a fickle mistress, but I hope to have another term somewhere soon. While it's great being your own boss, financial stability—even short-term—is nice. Commissions are closed for a little bit as I'll be busy for a while anyway because...
Plans, Cons, and StuffGuess what!! I'll be in the Dealer's Den at "http://www.furryweekend.com/dealers-and-artists/dealers-list/! I will have a map posted closer to the con, as apparently it could change, but I made it, lol. Come look for FuzziMutt Creations if you're going. I hope to have a bunch of FuzziPlush (and a catalogue-type-setup for those I don't have on hand), some prints, and other small plush I have on hand. I also may have cosplay items like ears and tails... any maybe fursuit props? We shall see.
I won't, unfortunately, get to make the partial I had planned. Which only sucks because the character is perfect for a theme-appropriate costume Next year, perhaps. D: I gotta step up my cosplay game. Or at least step it back up to where it was a year and some ago, lol. Still have plans for an awesome renfair/fantasy character now that I have the knowledge to do what I need for it. So many plans, so little time and resources. X3

I know I've been pretty quiet/scarce here... even moreso than dA. Because things have been pretty meh. Trying to keep my deeper personal life out of this, but yeeeeaaaah I've admittedly been pretty down from various not-so-fun things adding up. Besides an attempted Inktober Challenge (posted on dA), I haven't been doing much personal art... which I don't like. But even trying to art for myself (and not for commissions) more is currently difficult.
I will announce that commissions are open once again. They were on hold while I finished up my queue and allowed time for my holiday crafting and etsy rush, so now I am back on track! I'll be noting anyone I may have spoken to while things were on hold. :3
I am also in the process of updating my Commission Info journal and section here, but the most up-to-date (and stylish!) list can be found on my dA [here]. So clickit.
Plans and StuffDid my yearly AWA thing, but had a post-con epiphany about it. To sum it up, it wasn't particularly a good sales year for many artists for some odd reason. o_o; I realized on an individual level, tho, that my tendency to stay away from fanart items (especially plush) probably doesn't help with an anime audience. So I would like to branch out a bit.
I am currently wait-listed for the Dealer's Den at FWA, so hopefully that will be a thing. I figure my better audience is there and it's a con I really did enjoy attending for fun last year. o: But this will allow me to focus on making the kind of plushies I really love making and not have to rely so heavily on inclusion of fanart.

There's a chance I may be building a partial fursuit for FWA
I've fallen in love with the idea of a performance character and want to pursue this. My first forays into cosplay were with a Sly Cooper gijinka-like costume, which was fun because I physically acted the part slinking around and perching on things.
I have a character (... one of the ones I really need to post, lol) who's perfect for such a thing. While I can't lie that I'd love a crazy-detailed, work-of-art suit to have and be gorgeous; my most pressing idea is a character to be SILLY AND FUN. I'll have to see if it can happen this year, tho. Cosplay and hobby plans are naturally dictated by funds and time. >_<
Other StuffI guess there's still the matter of new characters I've accidentally been building up by constantly mentioning and not posting, haha. I've actually been exploring a handful of personal OCs in past months... likely due to the ups and downs that seem to be befalling me. :XD: They are not alternate per[/fur]sonas or anything... yet... but they are mostly based on personal aspects of my life. Stories, encounters, places I've lived, hobbies and interests, etc. So they are my very special babies and I'm shy about sharing them. ;_; But I will soon. But be prepared for STORY TIME, lol.
I've been whining about needing to art more and not actually doing it, so it's time to just do it. So yeah.

Go watch the show I've been working on the past several months! You won't be disappointed, I promise. If you didn't care for the first season, the second is much better. And if you liked the first, then it's TEN TIMES better! XD It caused quite a splash at ComicCon, I hear.
But really, the team has done an amazing job and I am honoured and proud to have been a part of it. Not gonna lie, it's somethin' to see your screen credit for the first time.

So this means...That my full time work is puuuurdy much done for now (well, very soon as we finish the last episode). I will definitely miss all the fun that came with it, but I can't deny that a break is welcome. Animators are sprinters, apparently, lol.
BUT! In my off time I plan to do some major re branding for my freelance endeavours and hopefully do some more FuzziMutt plushings.
Regarding Commissions:
Sincerest thanks to those currently [and previously] in wait-time... limbo. I am aware things went awry at times and we have spoken of this privately, lol. But I would like to reopen commissions soon with ample time to devote to them instead of attempting to do 80 million things at once and the resulting disorganization. Allow me to be an apologetic Mutt on the matter. u__u
Upcoming PlansMentioned before, but I am confirmed for Anime Weekend Atlanta's Artist Alley, so prep for this is underway! I was hoping to have a map to post, but I'll update with one as soon as it's available. There MIGHT be a little less true plush offerings, however, due to time constraints, but don't worry, there are still plenty of other goodies in the works. :3 Trying to get the Fuzzi tumblr and facebook pages back up to speed since like, EVERYthing seems to have slipped a bit during these hectic months. <_<; But yeah... stay tuned and stuff?
Mmmm... yep, that's all I got for now. A last few days wrapping up the season, then hit the ground running on everything else. Yah! Uh. Go watch The Awesomes now.

So, first off, because I'm an absolute walking advertisement lately, I have to finally announce that
THE AWESOMES SEASON TWO HAS PREMIERED!Go watch the show I've been working on the past several months! You won't be disappointed, I promise. If you didn't care for the first season, the second is much better. And if you liked the first, then it's TEN TIMES better! XD It caused quite a splash at ComicCon, I hear.
But really, the team has done an amazing job and I am honoured and proud to have been a part of it. Not gonna lie, it's somethin' to see your screen credit for the first time.

General | Posted 11 years agoCurrent State of AffairsThis was going to be a frustrated rant about what is ultimately me trying to do too much without the right time-management mindset, but there's no need to whine about it-- only be honest. Things are... kinda hectic, lol.
Work is great and I do enjoy it (SHAMELESS PLUG! The Awesomes Season 2 premieres August 4th on huluuuuuuu!), but it's taking a lot outta me. I am happy to have some stability, for sure, and all the people I've met and things I've learned make it so worth the 45-55 hour weeks. But yeah... that. What time I do have left in the evenings is a lot less than I realize when it comes to sitting down to other work, commissions, and etsy things. Weekends are attempted as catchup, but often unravel into much-needed time to unwind. Then I feel bad about not working. But everyone needs some downtime at the risk of exploding, lol... so I take what I can get.
This said, commission queue progress feels like it's grinding to a halt, and for that I do apologize to those waiting on things from me. The queue is still accurate... but I'm aware it hasn't budged much. ;_;
To customers and clients: I'm trying to fairly and efficiently prioritize as some things are more time-sensitive than others, but this doesn't make our particular dealings any less significant and they are still in progress. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding... trying my best to keep up with communications as well.

My goal has always been to highlight FuzziMutt Creations original stuff, but this year I'd like to have a few fandom/fanart-inspired things as well to entice a wider audience. It may or may not involve pokey-manz. <_<;
Miscellaneous Mutt StuffI am hip with the times now and finally have a 3DS... with no time to play stuff but lunch breaks at work, lololol. It's okay, tho-- StreetPass games are a blast when your workplace is full of Miis. If you like Karting and the Crossing of Animals (brand new villager, eep!), that's... uh... all I play, really. I attempted beginning my Pokemon journey, but I'm a little ashamed to admit that I just can't get into X&Y like I thought I would. It may or may not be related to needing some kind of closure from repeatedly starting FireRed/LeafGreen and never being able to finish. D: Lol, vidyagames.
... Aaaand, this is all I can think of for a much-needed update, really. Just didn't want to leave certain things completely in the dark. Until next time!

Relevant Awesome News!I have just begun a new awesome job. I'm now an animator at BentoBox Entertainment; currently working on hulu's The Awesomes. Bento is also known for Bob's Burgers, Glove and Boots, and other stuff I bet you didn't know wasn't done by Fox/CN/etc., lol.
I couldn't be happier to be back in the industry, and I hope to stick around for a bit this time... but television animation is a fickle mistress.
Than being said, tho...
A BIG Apology......To my clients and customers, because of aforementioned awesome news. ;_; I'm still trying to adjust to a full-time-plus schedule... as I haven't dropped any of my freelance work AND still have outstanding commissions. If I owe you something, I should be contacting you shortly or already have about my current speed of... getting things done. So I regret to say that, excluding those who I'm currently in contact with, Commissions are closed for now. At least until I get back up to speed. It could take weeks or months, I'm really not sure. But I do apologize and things are getting ever-so-slowly done. Queue is current as of this entry, and will be accurately updated.
Other StuffsI went to FWA, but forgot to post an "I'll be there" post... because I decided last-second. ^^; I was supposed to have a Dealer table or at least do the Artist Alley... but had fun instead with FRANDS. XD Maybe next year FuzziMutt Creations might be representing, but it'll be hard to drag me away from Con fun to Con work, haha.
So.... yep. otherwise, not much else to say. Trying my best at better time management, but if there genuinely aren't enough hours to get things done then I don't suppose there's much I can do. I'll get into a groove eventually..?
