Filling
(Simplified version)
1 cans of cream of chicken soup
(Used for complex and simplified versions)
6 cups of mixed veggies
1 cup of cooked chicken
(Complex Version cream of chicken soup)
1 cup cooked chicken
5 tbs. flour
2 cup of cream
1 stick of butter
¼ tsp salt and pepper
Lemon juice for taste
2 bay leafs
Make a rue by melting butter in a pan and then after its melted put in flour and quickly whisk the butter and flour till it’s a light brown. Add in the cream slowly while you whisk then add the chicken. Add lemon juice and salt and pepper for taste. Cook till soup has thickened.
(Start here) Get one 2-quarts casserole dish put in mixed veggies. Add your cream of chicken soup then stir.
Crust
1 1/2 cups of flour
1 tbs. baking powder
1/2 tbs. salt
1 stick of butter
1/2 cup of shortening
2 cups of milk
3 tbs. of dried chive
½ cup of sharp cheddar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Put 1/3 butter in microwave till melted. Add dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl and use a pastry blender to cut the shortening till its likes coarse crumbs. Add your liquids and stir till its sticky and slightly on the liquid side. Pour into the casserole dish over the veggies and sauce then smooth it out with a rubber scraper and pour melted butter over the batter. Bake for 60 minutes.
