Where did Luna go?
Posted 8 years agoHello!
This is just a quick update. I am currently inactive and will continue to be inactive on checking Furaffinity. Both this account and my art account, fyrewillowarts. I have taken a huge step away from creating commissioned art work and furry art work. In fact, I just opened pre-orders for a book that I wrote and illustrated called BabyGirl, which is a huge starting step in the direction my art life is going.
If you have need to contact me, the best options are Instagram where you can find me at both fyrewillowarts and lunafyrewillow (please note that on my personal one, if I don't know you, I won't allow the friend request).
If you want to know more about where my art is taking me, please see my website at www.lunaboles.wixsite.com/fyrewillowarts
Thank you!

<3 LunaAnyone interested and commissioners PLEASE NOTE:
Posted 11 years agoMy health has taken a negative turn for right now, and it is going to take all of my ability to focus on just completing my school art projects. My current queue is as follows:
Hida - Not Paid
Nisu - Completed
Beyond finishing these two commissions, I will be closing commissions for a short period to sort my health out. I would rather put out quality work in with a decent turn around then work that is not my best, or having longer wait times.
I will post another journal when I am going to be reopening all commissions.
Thank you
LunaFollow my blog for more art-ventures!
Posted 11 years agoCurrent Queue:
Hida - Fullbody shading with background/2 char. - not paid

I have dusted off the cobwebs, cleaned it up all shiny, and updated it.
If you want to follow all of my art-ventures, feel free to follow my blog!

NOTE: This blog is mainly used for my main art practice (away from my FA work) under Fyrewillow Arts and my work as a student at ACAD, therefore there is not much focus on furry artwork.
<3 Luna I will be showing/selling my work locally on Nov.28/29
Posted 11 years agoHello!
Just a quick update!
Note: I am still open for commissions and are considering making a few adoptable characters and seeing how those do.
November 28th - 29th is my colleges semi-annual Show and Sale. This year I have volunteered to participate! I will be assisting with the set up of all the projects prior to the event.
AS WELL! I will be offering 10 pieces for sale! 7 Digital prints (one of each only), and 3 original pieces created with traditional mediums! They will be on sale for both days and all 10 pieces will be rotated throughout the main mall for the entire weekend!
The place the show and sale is being held is at The Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
See this website for more information: http://acadsa.wordpress.com/show-sale/

Away for Thanksgiving

kitcheetah and I will be travelling all of Oct. 11th and 12th to see my family for thanksgiving.
If you need to contact me, leave a note and I will get back to you when I return!
<3 LunaUpdate!
Posted 11 years agoJust an update on things I am doing with my art that you don't necessarily see here on FA.
Today in my drawing class, we had our midterm reviews and then we went on a field trip to an observatory where we learned about stars and shit. It was suppose to inspire us for our next project, Outer Space.
Our next project, Outer Space, isn't just about stars and planets.
The actual definition of what was given to us is:
[QUOTE]
The assignment "inner space" asked you to respond, through drawing, to your own inner selves - to think about how you could represent that nature. This assignment asks you to consider the opposite. "Outer Space". This can be understood as physical space that begins where you end and continues in every direction for unfathomable distance. Or maybe you are also a part of that space? Are we stardust? How do you think about the vastness of space, the galaxy and universe? What is matter, age, and composition? How can the artist represent, or even contend with, infinity? The Void? Think also of the relationship of time to such a vastness; how does, or can, that mean. Ideas related to all questions and challenges of space allow for pure potential. Remember that this is a space that contains ALL of nature, in ALL of its complexity.
Any material in Any quantity - Due Oct. 20.
[QUOTE END]
Aside from that, I am also working on an Inventory for 10 full paintings and prints due on the 27th of this month for my college Show and Sale. It is an art show crossed with a retail expo. I will be selling all 10 pieces for a reasonable price.
Aside from needing to finish the pricing and the inventory for the Show and Sale, I also have to complete all 10 of the pieces and it is mandatory to volunteer 4 hours of my time to the Sale as well.
My midterm for my art history course is on Wednesday and I am far from prepared, but will try my best anyways!
For my Professional Practice for Artists class, I have another assignment due in the next few weeks where I have to professionally fill out a budget, CV, artist statement, portfolio documentation and all that other fun artist stuff to hand in and then also send to the Alberta Foundation for the Arts for a grant! :) I still have to come up with a project that I will do in order to get a grant to do it though, but I have a few ideas flying around right now.
Aside from school things I am doing other busy stuff like long-distance travelling on the weekend with
kitcheetah to see my family for thanksgiving and planning
kitcheetah 's birthday fun-times as well. All kinds of things like that. :)
And I am also keeping up with my commissions! According to my log, I am completely up to date and have no others to complete at this current moment!

Also UPDATE:
Today turned into an off-day for art, so I spent it trying to work out a price guide. :) I will have my lovely business cat
kitcheetah look it over this weekend.
By that time I should be able to open for commissions! :D
So keep an eye open for that next week!
<3 LunaNew Tablet! Commission Status.
Posted 11 years agoAs promised, I purchased a tablet and have now received it.
I have owned it for a total of two days so far. :)
I am now the proud owner of a Wacom Cintiq 13HD and it is beautiful.
HOWEVER! I have no idea how to use it!
So for now, I will be posting mostly practice pieces, trying to make the transition from traditional to digital for the very first time.
If they get lots of attention and people would like a certain piece of their own, I will consider opening up for very limited and very cheap slots.
I will keep you posted on my commisson status!
