Posted 15 years agoI'm gonna be 18 in less than two weeks! :D Which means I can legally do quite a few new things -- including vote, change my name, join the military, get a tattoo without parental consent, get my own credit card, get married, and most importantly... LOOK AT PORN! (not like I haven't been doing that for 5 years already *rolls eyes*) But it's definitely gonna benefit me here on FA, 'cause I'll finally get this damn mature ban lifted. 8D And I've drawn a few random yiff sketches over the past few months, so I'll be sure to upload those soon.
Hmm... methinks a birthday-themed yiff drawing would be fun. Maybe something involving a "birthday suit"... or cake? x3

2) I think it's great that "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is being repealed, even though I personally have no interest to join the military. If someone is willing to fight (and possibly die) for their country, it makes no sense to deny them because of their sexual orientation. My dad, however, brought up an idiotic point on the matter: "What if you're getting shot at in a ditch and the guy next to you is gay? You shouldn't have to worry about that guy wanting to have sex with you. You're putting your life in that person's hands." If you're worried about THAT during armed combat, you have more problems than you realize. >:l ...I LOL'D at my friend's response: "Hey if they wanna have sex with you then they will be more determined to save your ass".
7) Just something I've been wondering... How does a male get a close shave on his *cough*scrotum, using an electric trimmer, without neutering himself? >__> I'm not even sure if it's possible. Definitely one of life's great mysteries.

New character, German shepherd -- HE NEEDS A NAME!
Posted 15 years agoI've decided to create a few new characters, which will used primarily for yiff drawings and/or RPing. >:3 Most of them are currently in the planning stages, but I have one character who just needs a name. However, I'm indecisive as to which name I want, so... I'll let you guys choose!
Here's a short bio:
He's an anthro German shepherd, about 24 years old. His fur colors are the normal GSD colors -- black and tan-- with a bit of white on his paws and his throat area. His build is mildly muscular, but his muscles don't stand out overwhelmingly and he looks very skinny; in fact, there's barely an ounce of fat on his entire body. He's very friendly, but he also has his serious moments and he tends to be a bit quiet around large groups. A couple years ago, he decided to train to be a police dog, but after making it through most of the academy, he realized that it didn't suit him well. One good thing did come from being a police dog though -- it helped him discover his interest in other males. An encounter with another canine in the police station's showers led to the realization that he was gay. He prefers to be the dominant partner, but he'll occasionally sub if he meets another fur more dominant that himself. He can be a bit of a tease, but he's always willing and he tries to please his partner as well as himself.

Chase
Hunter
Rowan

Cub Art Ban = WTF
Posted 15 years agoI have to say... Though it doesn't affect me in any way, FA's new ban on mature cub artwork annoys me. :/ I've always been strongly opposed to censorship, and the fact that it's taking place on a site that allows pretty much anything but full-on human pr0nz...
But of course, there's a good reason for it. :P As Dragoneer states in this forum post, AlertPay dropped FurAffinity specifically because of its lenience towards cub art, and other payment processors have had the same issue with the site's policies. So I understand why this happened, but still... it annoys me. >__> Art should be free and unrestricted, yet cub artists (however few there are, I've still come across a few artists who primarily draw cub pr0nz) are now denied the privelege to contribute their artwork to FurAffinity. Of course, cub artwork is usually looked down upon because of the correlation between cubs and actual child pornography, but... this is artwork. Not photos; not real people. Several people have been saying "Oh yay, I don't like that stuff anyways. Now FA will have a better image." But imagine if you had a particular fetish --which most of your drawings were based off of-- and suddenly it was banned from the entire website. I know I'd be frustrated.
So... I dunno what the point of this journal is. xD Basically: I think it's a fucked-up situation, but there's nothing we can really do about it because otherwise, FA won't have the money it needs. Now if this wasn't a money-related situation, and pretty much life-or-death for the website, I'd be pretty pissed. Ultimately, artists should have the right to publicly display their artwork, no matter how offensive the subject. Some of the world's most amazing individuals were those who weren't afraid to bring offensive material to the public's eye.

MSN Messenger? ...RPing?
Posted 15 years agoFor some reason, Messenger kept freezing my computer when I first got it, to the point that I got extremely frustrated and I now refuse to use it. >__> But now I might be -forced- to use it, because DeviantArt's chats, which are the only IMing program I currently use, aren't working for me. I keep getting error messages and it won't let me view the chat screen. :P I'm hoping they're just temporarily glitching and that I'll be able to access them later. But if I'm unable to use dA's chats, I'll probably have to start using Messenger again and hope that it doesn't freeze my computer on a daily basis.

Posted 15 years agoI've been doodling quite a bit lately, but until I finish my current sketches, I don't have anything to do on FA besides going through submissions and journals, which I find rather shallow and pedantic. (anyone get that reference? xD)
However, I'd love it if someone would give me a reason to log on. :3 Note me and we can RP!
NOTE: Several people have asked me to RP on MSN or some other instant messaging service recently, but I want to make it clear that those programs don't work well with my computer. D: The last time I used MSN Messenger, it constantly froze my computer until I got frustrated and uninstalled it. So I'd prefer to RP either in a note conversation or a dA chatroom. Whichever works best for you guys. :3 Thanks~

Posted 15 years agoSorry guys, I've been way too inactive lately. :/ Seeing as I haven't been drawing very often (in fact, I haven't doodled anything in over a month), I don't have anything new to submit, and when that happens... I get lazy and don't log on for extended periods of time.
But I have plenty of unanswered comments/notes piling up, so I'll do my best to go through them soon. :P Sorry if you sent me a message a week or two (or three... or seven) ago and I still haven't replied. I just fail that awesomely. ;3 I'll likely reply to all comments within the next day or two.

Traditional Arts + New Drawing Techniques
Posted 15 years agoIt's been forever since I've drawn any traditional artwork. O__o I didn't even realize it until I started looking through my dA gallery for traditional drawings to post on my website, and I had go through like 8 pages of digital drawings before I found my old colored pencil work.
I think it's been almost 2 years since I last opened my case of 120 Prismas... That should be a crime. I feel ashamed. D: I used to love drawing with those pencils... What happened?
I think I got too lazy for traditional artwork. >__> Sad, isn't it? I've watched a number of my friends and/or favourite artists make the transition to digital artwork over the past few years, and though the results aren't quite -bad-... Most of the artists don't improve significantly. :/ I've made MASSIVE improvements to my characters' anatomy since I started using my tablet, but I still haven't figured out a decent way to color digital artwork. Quite a few of my drawings are only flat-colored out of pure laziness. Notice what happened with my recent Nightfire drawings? I actually took the time to focus on the little details, and they turned out much better than my previous drawings.
I'm not sure if I'll switch back to my Prismas just -yet-, but... I'd feel guilty just leaving the poor things confined in that box for much longer. D: My current goal is to learn how to actually -sketch-. I'm a perfectionist to the worst degree. I don't shade any of my pencil drawings because I'm afraid of messing it up -- smudging it or something. Hell, I actually make COPIES of my linearts and color on the copies instead of the real things. *facepalm*
Starting soon, I'm gonna start scribbling random blargh in one of my old sketchbooks. :3 Really messy, pencil-shaded sketches. Wolves, dragons, and other miscellaneous crap... Maybe even humans, just to throw some variety in. I think it'll benefit me as an artist.
What do you guys think?

Posted 15 years agoYep, it's a new record -- my inbox has exactly 10,000 submissions in it. xD A good 2,500 of them are leftover from before my account was age-locked (over a year ago), so that I'll be able to view/fave them when I turn 18 in December. Since I don't receive adult submissions in my inbox anymore, I figured I'd save the ones that were already in my inbox when I got age-locked. >__>
There are also 10,124 submissions in my dA inbox. I AM THE KING OF LAZYYY. :D
I have seven drawings to submit, four of which are yiff, but I'm too lazy. I'll do it tomorrow... or Thursday. Or next week. x3 *promptly curls into a ball and falls asleep* Of course, it'd help if someone gave me a poke and/or bitched me out for procrastinating such simple things... maybe.

Posted 15 years agoYesterday, FA was down. Today, e621 is down, and won't be up and running for almost 2 days, maybe more. And FA's search function still isn't working correctly. D:
Also, my main music-downloading site, Mp3raid, won't let me download music. :/ Every time I try, I get a 616 KB file that doesn't work when played in Media Player. Now -normally- I'd just use Video2mp3.net to convert YouTube videos to mp3 files, but... it's not working correctly either. .__.
WTF INTERNET. It's like it's trying to stop me from viewing yiff and downloading songs. D:

Image hosting -- help?
Posted 15 years agoI need an image hosting site (like Photobucket) that will allow me to post yiff drawings. :/ Most of the image hosting sites that I've found automatically delete pictures with mature content.
Long story short, I'm in the process of creating my own art website, but I need to find a site that will host all of my drawings, including the yiff pics. I'll basically be uploading my entire gallery. :P I could always post my clean art to Photobucket, but artwork tends to get ripped off when posted on Photobucket, so I'd prefer not to do that.
"MyAdultImage.com" is the best site I've found so far, but that's basically a site to upload random porn pictures.Anyone have any other ideas? NEVER MIND. :D

I'M A SENIORRRR
Posted 15 years agoI'm a week and a half into my senior year, and it's been an awesome experience so far. :D I love having the priveleges of a senior. My schedule has been shortened to only four classes (instead of six, like all the younger kids), two of which are electives. LESS HOMEWORK FTW. My teachers actually treat us like responsible students, allowing us to eat and drink in class, and because of the smaller classe sizes this year, my teachers actually -enjoy- teaching us, making it more fun for everyone.
And best of all, I have release time for 4th hour, meaning that I get an entire hour off, and then I have lunch right afterwards. So my lunch is basically two hours long. :O I can walk to Taco Bell or Circle K and still have spare time when I get back to school. It's amaziiiing~
It's still weird to think I'll be graduating in May though. >__> I don't feel like I'm nearly a legal adult... My friend and I still act like we did in 8th grade. x3
Also, sorry for the inactivity. D: I haven't gotten many opportunities to draw since school started, but I'll probably grab my tablet and start doodling sometime this week if I can.
And best of all, I have release time for 4th hour, meaning that I get an entire hour off, and then I have lunch right afterwards. So my lunch is basically two hours long. :O I can walk to Taco Bell or Circle K and still have spare time when I get back to school. It's amaziiiing~

Iron Artist Sketches: Good or Bad Idea?
Posted 15 years agoInstead of opening up commissions when I finish my current to-do list, how about I start taking Iron Artist commissions instead? Drawing 100 sketches for people would probably KILL me-- I don't think I've made that many drawings in the past two years combined. Even worse, school is about to start. But I'll be needing money soon, and since jobs are so scarce at the moment, it'd be in my best interests to whip out the tablet and doodle some furry arts. And I also need motivation to get back into the habit of drawing regularly, so... maybe this will help. :3
The Iron Artist commission prices would vary depending on how many characters the commissioner wants me to draw. These prices seem fair to me: $10 for a one-character piece, $15 for two characters... and I'd probably draw the line there. No need to draw an orgy. :/ We'll save the threesomes for later, when I open up commissions with less restrictions. Each drawing would be outlined and colored with flat colors... No shading or intricate detail.

Response to "Coming out" journal
Posted 15 years agoTo start off on a funny note -- according to Keto's evaluation, I'm "definitely a full on butt-stuffing guy!" Made me giggle. xD
Anyways... Since I've been on a mission to clean out my inbox over the past two days, I figured I'd post an update on the "Coming out" journal from two months ago. I didn't reply to any of the comments (there are about 20 of them still in my inbox), but I -did- read them all, so thank you to anyone who commented. :3 A lot of things have changed since then, which I'll do my best to explain below.
I think most of the people who commented misunderstood exactly what I was trying to say. :/ I didn't mean that I wanted to flaunt it. By "coming out", I meant doing subtle things. Maybe a small change in my appearance, or... I don't even know what. But the main point is that if someone asked me if I was gay, I wouldn't deny it. It would be up to my classmates to interpret my behavior however they wish, since I wouldn't openly admit it to anyone unless they asked. And if they -did-, for some reason, I'd simply reply "Yeah", and answer any forthcoming questions as nonchalantly as possible.

A few days after posting that journal, I came out to my mom, expecting her to be supportive. She's always made a visible effort to support everything I do, especially school-related activities. For fuck's sake, I was reading books at the age of three because of her encouragement, when most other children didn't even know the alphabet. xD (oddly enough, they taught my classmates the alphabet in -kindergarten-... shouldn't kids know the alphabet before then?)
Long story short, my mom's reaction was disappointing. :/ I've always been reluctant to tell her because she's repeatedly reminded me that "she wants grandkids to spoil someday", and... it's a bit embarrassing to admit something like that to your mom. ^^; Unfortunately, I completely underestimated how much it'd -surprise- her. She acted like a zombie for an entire week, then came home from work one day and immediately told me "You're not going to be a faggot in my house." And proceeded to lecture me about the dangers of HIV/AIDS.
Which, of course, was FAR from the reaction I was expecting, and more than a small blow to my self-confidence... I knew she'd be shocked, but I didn't expect -that-. Especially because she's a very open-minded person, and she's been very supportive of me throughout my entire childhood. From what she's told me, it was due to her parental expectations going up in smoke. Even if they're not especially looking forward to it, parents subconsciously assume their children will grow up, get married to a responsible, hard-working member of the opposite sex, and have children of their own. Since I'm my mom's only child, hearing that I'm gay must have been especially difficult for her. :/
I have to say, she does have a slight prejudice when it comes to gays... Not that she doesn't like them, but she has the late-80's mindset that ALL gays are bouncy, girly fags who dress in rainbows and spread AIDS like wildfire. I didn't even realize it at the time, but she thought I was -joking- when I came out to her because I don't act like that. I dress in dark colors, I listen to hard rock, and I'm rather shy. xD
My friends, unlike my mom, have been overwhelmingly supportive, and I can't thank them enough for that. I guess my generation is more accepting than my parents'... Maybe because of what we haven't seen. :/ And I'm sure that if I openly announced that I'm gay, no one at my school would really care. The only ones who get ridiculed are the ones that flaunt it, and I'm too shy to do that even if I wanted to. But... I don't think it's wise to take chances. I'd rather keep it in the dark until I graduate. There's always someone out there who's willing to discriminate against someone who's "different", and that includes potential employers and colleges.
(Just to clarify, my mom is being -much- more supportive now. :3 It took her a couple weeks to adjust to me being gay, but... she's accepted it. Which is good~)
In an unrelated, but amusing story, my dad recently gave me a lecture about how "I'm the only male in the family who can carry on the family name". xD My cousin also shares the same last name as me, but he's been a depressed alcoholic ever since his fiance died in the World Trade Center attack (can you blame him? :/), so... My dad assumes he won't be getting married and/or having any children. Which leaves the fate of my surname up to me! 8D No pressure, eh?

Anyways... Since I've been on a mission to clean out my inbox over the past two days, I figured I'd post an update on the "Coming out" journal from two months ago. I didn't reply to any of the comments (there are about 20 of them still in my inbox), but I -did- read them all, so thank you to anyone who commented. :3 A lot of things have changed since then, which I'll do my best to explain below.
I think most of the people who commented misunderstood exactly what I was trying to say. :/ I didn't mean that I wanted to flaunt it. By "coming out", I meant doing subtle things. Maybe a small change in my appearance, or... I don't even know what. But the main point is that if someone asked me if I was gay, I wouldn't deny it. It would be up to my classmates to interpret my behavior however they wish, since I wouldn't openly admit it to anyone unless they asked. And if they -did-, for some reason, I'd simply reply "Yeah", and answer any forthcoming questions as nonchalantly as possible.

Posted 15 years agoI just picked up my senior schedule at my school (school starts a week from today), and it's about the opposite of what I wanted. >__> I got the classes that I chose, so that's good, but... they're in the wrong places. I'm only required to take four classes this year, so I was hoping I could leave after 4th hour and eat lunch at home. But NOOOO, it turns out that one of my classes can only be taken during 5th hour. :/
So I have release time during 2nd hour instead of 5th hour, and I have to pay to eat lunch at school all year... an expense, which, quite frankly, we don't need. X__x We're low on cash as it is -- we don't need to spend $400+ for a year of school lunches. And I have NO idea what I'll do during 2nd hour... Just sit in the hallway and stare at the wall, maybe? I think the only option is to become a teacher's aide.
It'd be convenient if I could get 4th hour off instead of 2nd because then I'd have 4th hour AND lunch off... I could go home to eat. :D Buuuut oh wait, never mind. Since the DMV made me come back THREE different times, and I failed the permit test on my first try, I STILL DON'T HAVE A DAMN CAR. D:<

Posted 15 years agoI'm not opening commissions just -yeeet-... :/ I currently have 9 drawings on my to-do list, two of which are about halfway done. Once I finish those, I've decided I'll (finally) open commissions. I'm not sure how long it'll take to finish all 9 drawings, but regardless, I wanna make sure these sound like good prices for my artwork.
Icons: $2 for one, $3 for a matching pair

Posted 15 years agoWTF is everyone complaining about? >:/ I've read at least half a dozen journals so far that can basically be summarized as "BAWWWWW FA CHANGED THEIR DESIGN AND I DUN LIKE IT. >:C IMMA GONNA BITCH AND WHINE AND COMPLAAAAAAIN 'CAUSE I HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO." And worst of all, most of the users that commented on said journals -agreed- with them.

Yesterday's update was TEMPORARY, for fuck's sake! >__> Sure, they rearranged a few things. So what? The main purpose of this update was to upgrade their server, NOT THE WEBSITE ITSELF. They threw in a few minor changes, but this is not the major site update that everyone's been expecting. Keep in mind that, unlike other popular art websites (DeviantART is a prime example), this website is completely free. There aren't any flashy ads that constantly badger us to subscribe (for only $30 per year, hurhur 8D). The admins allow nearly 400,000 users to access this site without charge, and with minimal guidelines, considering the adult nature of the majority of submissions.
And they do it all in their spare time. :/ Nobody's paying them to upgrade the site (besides the companies that place ads on the site, and there aren't many of those anyways). So stop your bitching and be grateful that the admins are willing to sacrifice their time and money towards bettering this website.
P.S. -- Why is everyone complaining about the placement of the ads? From what I can tell, there AREN'T any ads anymore. :P Or are they just not appearing on my screen? The only changes I noticed were the rearrangement of the menu and Control Panel, and the absence of the sidebar that the ads used to be in.
[EDIT:] FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFSTUPID. I just realized it's 'cause I'm using Adblock. xD For anyone who absolutely -can't STAND- seeing those ads plastered across the top of your screen, I'd recommend downloading Adblock. Here's what your page will look like:

Posted 15 years agoNever mind about the driving permit. :/ I didn't realize that I had to have my birth certificate and social security number to take the test. I don't even know where my birth certificate -is-, and I don't have my social memorized.
