Anyway, lets start off the New Year with something interesting. Yep you guessed it.
A January shepherd of the month!
Since were already half way through January the contest will close in one week.
So get your submissions in!

We're mixing it up this year and we are even taking nominations, so if you feel someone is deserving of the title post their name, a description of why they should be shep of the month and a picture (this can be drawn, real life, fursuit or even human!)

We'd also like to apologize for having not set things up sooner. We shall state now that currently both admins (  paulshep and  nz101 ) are both full time students and the best way to contact us to arrange things is to send us a note to our main accounts.

We are happy to repost journals if sheps would like to set things up but we cannot be held responsible for sheps not helping out. Until Blitz_Shepherd contacted us no one had come forth saying they would arrange a photoshoot.

Again we apologize for not announcing this sooner but we haven't even had time to set up one of our favorite things: novembers shepherd of the month. Please be patient. It is easier to get in contact with the admins of the groups via note to our personal accounts.

Alright guys so this is just a random little contest for fursuits! We're doing this because pet g sheps have been coming out on top in the g shep of the month contest (due to lack of entries of fursuits etc) SOOO!

It was a tough decision guys, we didn't want to leave it up to chance (drawing a name out of a hat or throwing darts at names etc). We wanted to give this honor to a shepherd who really deserved it. So we read every entry repeatedly. After much review we found the honor of the G-SheSquads first sheppy of the month should go to a shepherd who spent the best part of his years serving with the police to keep us safe.

Everyone congratulate  K-9_sarge 's pet sheppy Sarge!



"My boy Sarge who is a happily retired K-9 Police Dog and my last partner, who he and I took retirement at the same time, He served six long years and aided the department in apprehending nearly two dozen felons, and sniffing out over $500k in illegal drugs.

His retirement was a bit early, and under normal situations, he should have worked for eight years, but due to a bad winter, and when chasing down a suspect, he slid on some ice, and damaged his hip, which lead towards arthritis, and his retirement.

The link will lead you to his picture that was taken that night we both retired, and were heading home from or shift for the last time,.. With a new collar, and his favorite bandanna, he gave me the look as if asking if it was true, and he was no longer going to work. It did take quite a while for him to get use to the idea that I wouldn't get my uniform on, and he would be going to work. But I think he's settled into retirement nicely.

I wouldn't trade him for ANYTHING."

I'm sure all of you will agree that Sarge deserves this!

Tonight, I received from multiple sources, that  gizgiz has taken his own life. We are very shocked to receive this message.

For whatever reason he did it, we hope that he has found his peace.

Remember, folks, suicide is not a joke. It is not. So for whoever is trolling against him, shame on you.

Rest in Peace, GizGiz. Our Swedish warrior.

Hey everyone this is the first lady  nz101 here. We've had a lot of interest in the contest so lets start this!

So the First Lady has come up with a great idea to make this group a little more active:

She has suggested that once a month, we shall showcase one of our members and/or one of their dogs. That means: He or she will tell a little about themselves, what they love about g-sheps, hobbies, and so forth. I believe this is a great idea, and it'll be a great feature to have in our group, because then we can get to know each other better. :)

After much thought and accomodating,  jaceshepherd has announced a new time for the AC photoshoot!

To any German Shepherd fursuiters attending FWA this year: you're invited to take part in the FWA 2011 GShep Photoshoot. We will be meeting in the Hotel Lobby at 11:30 AM on Saturday.

Can't wait to see you all there! And spread the word to the other Sheppies that are attending!

It's been a few weeks past now, but how was Further Confusion 2011 for everyone? I hope it was great. :)
