But work has mostly been smooth, it's just that massive of a game and undertaking for a solo dev!
It's called "Legend of Queen Opala: Origin", it's the third title in the series and it even allows you to play as a beastman.
A bit of a callback to my own origin here on FA I suppose, although you are limited to play as human, wolf, horse or bull.
So...yeah, never forgot you guys, even if I don't really have time to lurk around these days or check my messages.

Doing aaaaalright and working really hard on Legend of Queen Opala: Origin, in fact, today is the only day in months I've not worked on the game and allowed myself a tiny little day-long vacation because...erm, hmm...
Anyway, enough spotlight stealing for now!

The blog is updated pretty much weekly with a new poll every Sunday that could influence how the game ends up and what it'll contain, for example, this week to the 3rd of August you'll be able to vote if you want to be able to romance my furry characters Nipha, Layla, both or none!

Not really a dump of information this time, but though I should drop by since its been a while and let people know I'm still hard at work on the game!
And I hope to have it finished by January, 2014.

Legend of Queen Opala II - Episode III is back on track and making a lot of progress since a few weeks back.
But once of released of course, it won't be called Episode III, but simply reverse back to Legend of Queen Opala II since it'll be the full game.
While my crashed HDD still hasn't been recovered and taking ages, I just got tired of waiting and instead began recreating all the resources I lost for the game, which is the reason why I've been able to really get back into the production.

So what can you expect out of Episode III...?
Well, some of you might've already picked it up, but you'll be able to purchase yourself a ship and travel the vast ocean, which is about three times larger than the whole continent of Namaria, so unlike the first game, you'll be doing the sailing exploring yourself to finding the various islands, coasts etc.
The game will also set you on an epic side-quest to find Sir Gloryhole and the other two founders of the League of Perverts, which will explain why Master Hen'Tai can be everywhere and be such a skillfull and badass pervert! (Unless he is in jail!)
The final product will also introduce a fairly deep arena system, naturally much more superior to the one in the first game, and as I know a lot of people have been asking and wishing for it...an pregnancy/birth system for the egyptian girls you can okay around with.
And when you boot it up, don't forget to sign up for the League of Pervert's self-published magazine, The Daily Fap, but that clue is on me!

And if you've forgot, anyone who donates at least $20 to my cause since a while back will automatically be entitled and get the Gabrielle Trading Card Collection preordered for free! This mean the day the game is finally released, everyone who got the collection preordered will received a download link for it in their mail, this collection will contain exactly 100 unique artworks, some having alternative versions, and including the B/W versions you'd be entitled to brings the number up to at least 200 artworks...if that isn't worth the $20 price tag, I don't know what is!
The Gabrielle Trading Card Collection contains all of those special cards you can find in-game, but will be available in much larger size!

All right, so here I am again with a brand new computer, Windows 7 and all.
I should be happy but I'm not, its of course nice to know everything will eventually return back to normal with nothing lost, but I don't know how much it'll cost me or how long it'll take to get the data saved from the dead HDD.
I really NEED that data as it contains the list of everyone who pre-ordered the Gabrielle Trading Card Collection, along with the collection itself since not one of them had been saved on an external device yet.

However, the game project is unaffected, except of course any art I hadn't uploaded to the game yet.
But progress and everything else concerning Legend of Queen Opala II is unaffected as I make sure to do a back-up of the game every single day.

So good in bad, there you have it. =)

Just letting people know my computer died during Christmas, in such a bad way I lost my HDD...
Hopefully I'll be back online soon again, but it will be expensive to buy a new computer and send away my HDD to a specialist so I can recovered all the data, which I MUST have or I've lost a ton of work and information about the game project and the Gabrielle Trading Card Collection preorders. :/

And so version 1.02 of Legend of Queen Opala II - Episode I/II is now finally released and available to the public!
Along with several fixes to all reported bugs that managed to sneak into the game, this version also includes some new stuff like a brand new recruitable ally, "weak walls", a fresh achievement list etc! Though sadly, this mean you must delete your old list in order for the game to update itself and let you have the new list, but don't worry, most achievements like opening X amounts of chests, looting X amounts of search spots etc. will automatically unlock again the next time you do such a task.

As I'm sure you all know, Megaupload got nuked by US so I had to upload my game somewhere else, and here is the answer to that.
However, this version is NOT the same as the previous Episode I.
This one has every reported bug/glitch fixed, a completely remade Beastiary and Art Gallery, some tiny tweeks in the game plus three new Legendary Monsters for you to find and hunt down.

If you've already made a save for the game, don't forget to import it, along with the achievement list before you delete the old version of Episode I!

With this version, you'll be able to fully explore the whole Namaria world map and follow the story for as long as it remains there, you'll also be able to import your save files and achievement list for the fully finished game.
This is NOT a demo, but around half of the entire game.

Hopefully there won't be any issues with this version as I had to edit the game and remove a lot of artworks and scenes you don't unlock until the areas beyond Episode I, but I had to do it in order to keep some secrets...secret. x3

All right, time for a new update!
Like before, I'm afraid I'll have to be the bringer of both good and bad news.
The bad news is that I'll have to delay the finished game yet again, even if I had finished everything on my end, I'd still have to delay the game because one of the voice actresses may need to be replaced all together due to not really doing anything for a long time.

The good news is, just like with previously missed release date, I'll instead be releasing a new and heavily updated "demo" during November/December.
But rather than a demo, you should perhaps consider this a "Part I", with Part II being the entire version/full game.
As such, Legend of Queen Opala II - Part I will not only give you access to the whole Namarian map, you will also be able to import your save to the full version!
So this earlier release will contain everything you should expect in the full version in the available areas, and again, the whole Namarian map will be open.

Keep your eyes open of an early christmas present!

Well what do you know, tomorrow July the 30th, is my 29th birthday!
I won't make another journal about it, it's just one more day after all. x3

The Legend of Queen Opala II project is moving along rather fine, in fact, the storymode is nearly done so I can start focusing on additional content and tweeks until the release date.
Speaking of release dates, while I may be done quickly enough, all the CG scenes and voice clips might takes quite some time to get finished.
But currently I'm aiming for a release date of no later than November, which mean the game will end up having a total development time of one and a half year.

And to answer a few common questions about the demo -

1. No, I'm afraid it won't be possible to transfer your saves due to a glitch/exploit with the forging mechanics I've fixed since the demo.
2. Yes, one of the artworks in the gallery sneaked into the demo, even though it isn't possible to unlock it.
