No idea, probably people talking badly about it when I was a teen. You know the kind of stuff people say. As for how I came *here*, I think adoptables led me here.
3. Chose your species cuz...
I like cats. I have 3 cats. I use to wear cat ears in 7th grade (i'm even wearing them in my school id photo lol). I'm also anime trash, which means cat girls/nekomimi.
4. Why/how did you choose your name?
Even though I didn't like the gameplay and never finished it, "Meowjesty" comes from Ni No Kuni, the Studio Ghibli game. The cat king is referred to as "his meowjesty." I thought that was hella cute and wanted to use it.
5. If you had to change your species what would you choose?
A bear, I think. A cute little bear like Rilakkuma or Maple from Animal Crossing.
6. What percentage of your friends are furries?
Uh...outside of the internet? Maybe <10%? I have no idea, none of my close friends are, but some of my convention/cosplay friends are, not that we talk about that sort of thing. Unless some of my other friends are closet furs *shrug*
7. If you've been, favorite furry con and why?
Haven't. I wanted to sell at Califur, but driving up for just a *chance* to be in the artist alley doesn't seem worth it. Not now anyway. Maybe in the future. Or I'll just buy a dealer space.
8. Got a fursuit?
Nope. I kind of want a kemono or super realistic head though, just because they look cool when paired with certain fashions.

I've recently become obsessed with the cuteness that is Komasan from Yo-Kai Watch and drawing him for Inktober seems like a fun and easy way to get me to actually draw for the whole month.
I loaded up my pentel waterbrush with black ink and will likely follow the official Inktober prompt list.
Anyone else doing Inktober? Do you have a themed list you plan to follow?

Posted 9 years agoSince the thinkpad I use for drawing puts out a lot of heat, it's been too hot to draw during the day time/early evening.
To keep myself creating, I've been making Pokemon (as you've noticed). First was Alola Vulpix because it's so flippin' cute, then Komala because also cute, and then Charizard because I don't really use orange often (although, now the ball of yarn is much smaller).
Now I'm not sure what to make! More new pokemon or oldies but goodies???
Help me decide!!!

Posted 9 years agoI haven't uploaded art in a while...just crochet stuff (which i love), but my gallery is starting to look a little...monotonous to me?
Anyway, I'll probably do some more digital art some time too, to get back in the swing of things, especially since I have a con next month and I really haven't made much new stuff for it. I've been working on a few resin things, but it's definitely not enough! (i'll probably upload the resin pieces sometime later though. hope you guys like space / uchuu-kei)
reminder than custom amigurumi/plush prices are going up on the 20th. so if you want one before i increase the price, you better get on it.

I promise to keep making cute things and be worth watching this year! If there's anything you'd like to see more of, please let me know (plush, watercolors, buttons, ych, etc etc)

I'm thinking of raising my commission rates. Not right away, but relatively soon (maybe mid to late february?). So if anyone was on the fence about getting a custom plush, I'd suggest jumping on it before the increase.
For anyone in SoCal or nearby, I'll be at HanadokiCon in San Diego in March 18-20. So if you're going, maybe drop by and say hi.
I'm also considering hitting up Califur. Anyone been to it? I don't know if my personal accessory brand would do well. I'm thinking of just offering take-home commissions and pre-orders for pick up of custom amigurumi/plush. Anyone know how well that would go? I've never been to a furry con and I hear that most people just want commissions.

but i don't have a waffle maker.
i've looked it up and it seems to be possible to make them with a griddle iron.
they kinda remind me of ruffles/wavy lays.
i think i'll give it a go sometime.
in other news...
i got a cool map of the hoenn region and a mario 30th anniversary pin from a smash 4 player+amiibo team tourney. map was from getting the best k/d ratio in one of rounds and the pin was from placing 7th. things were pretty close though. there was a 4 way tie for 2nd (which was settled in a crazy 8 player smash)...so i wasn't too far from the higher ranks haha. speaking of ranks...i keep dancing close to the edge of reaching S rank in splatoon. every time i get near it, i fall and sometimes even drop a rank >> but i am diggin' the new gear.
i'm also confirmed for one convention in late january. woo. and i've been accepted into another con (earlier in january) that i need to pay for (i'm $50 short >>;;; so i can't pay it yet). hopefully the second con won't give me the boot for not paying yet! my arms n stuff have been sore from all the crocheting i've been doing to make stock. ice cream animals everywhere ya'll.
i've got two secret santa projects i need to work on too...one that i know what to make for, the other is kinda hard. i really hope i can get them done before december and mailed out so they get them in time.
