I am formally withdrawing from a lot of my online prescence. I'll be back eventually, and checking in occasionally, but for the immediate future, my focus is my family.
Long story short, I have been supporting my father as he nears the end of a very long battle with dementia. In the last 3 months he has become palliative.
All my energy and focus has been making it through my day to day.
These communities online mean a lot to me, have supported me a lot over the years, and I will find my way back to them if they're still around.
These are difficult times for us all, and now more than ever we need community. Never doubt the importance of reaching out to each other, and of standing together.
So take care of each other, and of your weird wonderful selves!

Activity Update
Posted a year agoI have been in ghost mode the last few months for both work and personal reasons.
One of those reasons, happily, was an invitation to be an artist in an inaugural Trans and Gender Diverse Art Exhibit at my local Cultural Center! It was a mad rush to get my pieces completed, printed, framed, and delivered but I'm happy to say the exhibit opening was worth it all. It was an emotional, cathartic, deeply moving night of speakers, preformers, and of course, the rest of the exhibit.

With the exhibit past me, and some downtime approaching, my other work will resume in course.

I am opening this round for a limited number of illustration, character, or concept work! For examples of each, please see the respective folders in my gallery, or my professional portfolio.
This is intended only as a summary of information. Please read the full T&Cs and see the Commissions tab for an overview.

Important information
I have revised prices regarding specialised tiers (illustrations and concept work). If you are a client on my waitlist and I have sent you a quote, you will not be affected by these price revisions!Expressions of interest forms will be open on 13th of February Australian EST and close 4th March for me to process and get back to applicants. I may re-open submissions if there are any spaces remaining.
Due to outside workload, I will be re-opening a limited amount of illustrations, creature and/or character concepts only. I will not be accepting any general tier pieces (sketches, etc).
General Information
My art focuses on creatures and non-human characters.Payment is on completion except for a deposit required on specialised tiers.
All communication to be conducted via email unless otherwise decided.
All prices are USD.
I reserve the right to not take a commission without given reason.

Anything promoting racism, homophobia, queerphobia, or intolerance of a minority group.
*Humans are not my forte. I will draw a human in the presence of a monster or creature, or transforming into one, but not solo.
**This covers things from franchises aimed towards children like Steven Universe, Gargoyles, or Disney princesses. It does not cover things from adult media like yautja or xenomorphs.Fan-characters are generally allowed, but it’s always best to ask. If you have a character who is a species owned by someone else, that you bought/were gifted, this is allowed.Pricing
Specialised Tiers
Pricing on these specialised tiers are subjective and will vary piece by piece. Each bracket indicates the minimum starting rate.Illustrations from $100-$150
These pieces are finely detailed painterly style and the end result is print quality. $100 is the starting point for no background. Backgrounds start from $150 depending. These pieces may include NSFW and professional natural, scientific, or feature illustrations (SFW). Previous illustration experience includes article feature pieces and natural history.
Concept work for creatures or characters from $100
Price is variable depending on the end goal of the concept eg. a standalone image, or reference material. Previous clients have utilised this to overhaul an old character or develop a creature from existing concept sketches. Creatures/characters without a visual reference will be charged according to complexity starting from a minimum $100.

Posted 4 years agoHappy to say that I've opened commissions again after a few months off recharging. My style has really grown throughout my fallow period and I've changed how I approach each piece, I think it's for the better. This doesn't mean that my personal art will take a back seat again, I still have some pieces I'd like to do this year, primary among them being getting a reference sorted for Tuq.
I look forward to seeing what exciting opportunities people will bring my way! Also, a friendly reminder that I am open for trades from mutuals - if you aren't sure, just shoot me a message to ask!

Important Update: Shifting Focus

This is a very difficult decision for me to make, both personally and financially. The queue that I had lined up was chock-a-block full of fantastic pieces that I was looking forward to help bring to life. Unfortunately, the quality of my art has really suffered to such a degree that I was uncomfortable with accepting payment for it when I know I couldn't do the ideas the justice they deserve. The combination of the past year and some very complex ongoing personal issues have really dealt a blow to my creative drive and capacity to create. I need to take time for myself to recover.
This by no means is a notice to say I'm not drawing, just that my focus is going to be on producing art for myself. I am focused on my own recovery and maintenance. The good news is that though certain things remain turbulent, I am in a much better place than this time last year!
I want to thank everyone on my queue for their patience, it means the world to me. Hopefully I will have the chance to work with you again in the future. At this stage, I can't say when that would be, but I remain optimistic!
I also want to thank all my mutuals on my various social media accounts, I know I have been more ghost than anything else but it's the little interactions that keep me going. Seeing everyone's worlds and creations and experiments and fun little doodles really helps keep my own artistic spark lit. I am looking forward to trying to revive that creativity and if this means experimenting with style or returning to old favourites, so be it!
If anyone else is reading this and feeling like they need to take time to themselves as well, please know that you are strong enough to make this decision for your own wellbeing.

Since last posting there have been significant an dramatic changes in my personal circumstances (I'm ok now!) which will likely take the rest of the year to settle. I have not had a chance to put pen to paper in any seriousness for two months outside of course demands, but I'm starting to have more time to myself now.

General Update
Posted 5 years agoHi all! A general update and timeframe for the next few months.
I'm unexpectedly having to move house. Happily, it's only a short distance and I should be in the new place and ship shape by the second or third week of August. At the moment I'm focusing on packing and organising the move, so I won't be working on commissions in earnest until then. Thank you to all the commissioners who've got in contact, I have responded to everyone and added them to the queue list.
