Gaming Furever is looking for active gaming enthusiasts in our community of furry gamers that are interested in finding and reporting on anthro-centric gaming news, demoing and previewing upcoming games from up-and-coming developers, and playing and reviewing newly released games within our furry interest zone. Even if you don’t believe you’ll be able to contribute a lot weekly, feel free to contact us and let us know what you’d be up for! We want to be the preeminent place for news, previews, and reviews of furry games, and even the smallest amount of help helps! Below, we’ve laid out the type of staff activities we’re looking for, in various capacities. Each bullet point is its own task, and won't be required of every staff member.

Furry Game News Reporting
*Find and link to breaking and relevant news, updates, cosmetic DLCs, characters, and anything that fits into the “furry” and animal-based gaming genre and link to them in the Discord.
*Edit and post news that is found to GamingFurever.com and relevant social sites

Game Previewing & Demos
*Discover upcoming games being developed for Steam and other platforms that involve anthros/furries and link to them in the Discord.
*Edit and post previews of upcoming games (even without demos) with your thoughts, relevant furry details, and social media sources for game/developer.
*Play demos of upcoming games and upload videos of the playthrough to GF and Social Media
*Add games to the GF Furry Game Database

Game Reviewing & Playing
*Write reviews of games featuring furries in any capacity and post them on GF and share on our social media platforms.
*Livestream and post your playthrough/live review of games featuring furries/animals in any capacity on GF and our social media platforms.
*Occasionally receive review keys to play the game and then post reviews on our website or our Uncivil Gamers YT channel.

Editor & Writer
*Interest in writing opinion pieces or editorials on GF
**These include things like “How Sonic changed the gaming landscape” or “Top 5 upcoming Indie Games featuring Foxes”
*Editor for received/posted news, previews, and reviews from other contributors. Posting these articles to GF and Social Media for the site.
*Social Media manager that keeps and eye out for relevant news and shares them on our social platforms.

Dear Loyal GFers,

JoJo here! After a long hiatus and many life changes for me and many of the staff here, I've decided to make a big change to what GF will be from here on out. Before now, we have tried to be many things: an inviting community with lots of events, a place to come and watch furry gamers stream, a database of all furry games available past and present, a running news log of all furry news, continual provider of quality editorials related to gaming, and upon all of that keep normal lives and jobs without any sort of income from the site. Needless to say this worked for a while, but the burnout came quick and furiously. It's hard to drive a site with this much attention necessary without some form of incentive to staff. However, every staff member that held a position with us and helped make GF what it became will always be loved and thanked from the bottom of my heart. Thank you so much. We’ve been going strong since 2011 and will continue to.

Now! Why do I say all this? Well because I don't want Gaming Furever to just sit there and be static, not evolving or changing so that it can be something, instead of trying to be such a big thing that it can't be anything! Over the next few days, I'll be running a poll or two over on GF's Twitter to see what people think is most needed in the furry gaming scene and doing some soul-searching of my own. Once that is established, I'll weigh what I think I and any new team members we recruit can best supply in an excellent and consistent way. I've learned a lot over the years and have started to figure out what GF can be best at when it tries to be. We're "evolving" in a way that gets rid of the stuff we don't need and focusing on what makes us better in the long run.

An important note is that this is also necessary because through the years GF has moved from many out-dated programs to new ones, and with that had to move legacy forum posts, comments, articles, and user data over. This method prolonged old data, but because of the many moving parts, I don’t feel it is as secure and stable as it needs to be in this day and age. Because of this, the site will be on a clean slate moving forward. If you have any comments, articles, pictures, posts, or anything else you need saved, please do so over the next few days. Nothing is safe come the new year. This wiping is needed to make sure past users who no longer visit don’t have to worry about old notifications, any holes in security can be patched up fresh, and people who want to return can be excited to know that they’ll be doing so in a brand new, shiny environment.

Think of this as moving into a new home! Yes we’ll have to get reacquainted with everything, it will take some effort, and we will have to throw out some things that are out-dated to make the house feel clean and modern, but once it is done it will be better than ever. Promise. :3

We decided here at Gaming Furever that it was in our best interest to replace all our staff members with furries. I know, I know...not everyone approves of the stigma that comes with being a furry, but we think they're (mostly) all really cool people and want to give them a chance. We're very excited to be able to announce that we'll be having a livestream event on our Twitch channel today at 6 PM ET. Today we will be interviewing two of the developers of the upcoming and in-development game, Antilia. Antilia is a massively-multiplayer online role-playing game (mmorpg), set in a unique, beautiful fantasy world filled with anthropomorphic creatures. Jeff Leigh and Jeremii of Right Brain Games will be joining myself and J-Fox for a livestream interview. Jeff and his team will be very graciously opening up their server for us to play on while we do the interview, so we will also have live impressions of the game for you.

I know a lot of you have the new Pokemon games, and many of you have reached the end of the game by now, where you're able to go on "Friend Safaris" to collect more Pokemon from each person on your friends list.

Churbles. No I didn't sneeze, that’s the name of this adorable looking game being kickstarted by the indie studio CrashGem. They describe the game in the following quote.

"Churbles is a fantasy simulation RPG focusing on the heroic efforts of adorably tough hamsters, slated for a 2014 release on PC, MAC, and Linux. A Churble is an adorably tough hamster, sporting magical powers and elemental affinities. Valve has apparently filed an application for trade marking the word "Half-Life 3" and it is anyone's guess as to what that could mean for the long-awaited not-yet-announced sequel to one of the most cherished game series of our generation. It could be just protecting themselves. It could be the beginning of some real news. Who knows. But one thing is for sure: it is a real trade mark application on a real website where Valve has applied for trade marks before.

Telltale Games' next choice and consequence game is The Wolf Among Us, which is based off the Vertigo comic books, "Fables" by Bill Willingham. It follows Bigby Wolf (aka Big Bad Wolf) as the nicotine-addicted, werewolf, detective sheriff of Fabletown, which is occupied by downtrodden fable story characters. In this new trailer, we see the rough-looking Bigby explain a little more about what he's doing in this town. On the eve of The Walking Dead game, we cannot -wait- to see what Telltale does with this series.

We had a great time playing Gundog last week, and wanted to fire it up for another go this week while it was still in beta! It is very similar to TF2, in that it has classes for characters that closely resemble TF2s, and plays just like it. It's basically TF2 with furry skins. It's free to play, and can be downloaded by going to this link. We'll be starting up our own room during the event. The name will be "GF Gameday" and the password will be "fur". NA Servers, Channel 1.

Microsoft's Dan Mattrick today announced that they have heard your "feedback" and decided that what they were trying to push obviously wasn't what the community at large wanted. As such, they have changed their daily check-in, offline gaming, and used game policies. Here's the official word from Xbox News site:

*An internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games – After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360.

*Trade-in, lend, resell, gift, and rent disc based games just like you do today – There will be no limitations to using and sharing games, it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360.

*In addition to buying a disc from a retailer, you can also download games from Xbox Live on day of release. If you choose to download your games, you will be able to play them offline just like you do today. Xbox One games will be playable on any Xbox One console -- there will be no regional restrictions.

Unfortunately, these policy changes do come with a loss of previously announced features of Xbox One:

*These changes will impact some of the scenarios we previously announced for Xbox One. The sharing of games will work as it does today, you will simply share the disc. Downloaded titles cannot be shared or resold. Also, similar to today, playing disc based games will require that the disc be in the tray.

But, overall, it seems that these bonus features were not enough to warrant tossing out used game and offline gameplay, so they have to go.

So there you have it! Let the next-gen console discussion really commence.
