I'm looking for a new sketchbook….And I'm having a hard time deciding. It's so hard finding /the/ perfect sketchbook.

I want something sturdy, NOT SPIRAL SPINED because for some reason constantly pulling those in and out of backpacks completely destroys them for me. And I kinda want lots of pages so it'll last a good while…and maybe some thicker or more textured like paper…

Do any of you guys have recommendations or know of a good online website for sketchbooks? For some reason I'm finding it really difficult to find one!

I've kinda felt my art vibe slowing coming back, it's not quite there but I'm going to push it so I'll get some art done.

First thing I'm tackling is icons from that journal from a month ago! To speed up production these are going to be sketched on paper and then finished digitally. I normally do one at a time digitally when it comes to icons but I figured sketching them out first traditionally will help them come out best! So the 5 of you on that journal expect 'em soon!

Next after that icon batch is the rest of the scratchboard commissions!

After scratchboards I will Tackle my regular commissions that are listed on my front page, and then I will continue with my TF PRINTS project.

I likely am done taking commissions this summer, I'd like to have some time to get back into those prints people are waiting on! I may take some side projects in between, but likely I am done with 'batches' unless some bug bites me to do more. But this is the plan I've got going! (friendly reminder, the TF prints are past the Califur mark I had set up, so if you'd like a refund if you hadn't been featured yet you're more than welcome to contact me about it! This project is going slower then I want it to, and I do plan to finish them all, but if the wait is annoying you feel free to take your money back if you are one of the TF Print features!)

Or well, the carving foam heads part mostly! I've been craving taking my art skills in different areas, and something pretty neat happened a few days ago.

I showed my grandma my Chu Chu fursuit, and she was amazed with it and said she wanted to make one with me basically. I'd do the foam stuff and she'd do the sewing (and I'd get to learn how to sew fur too. I know how to sew regular cotton fabrics but nothing thick like fur so it'd be neat)

So yeah I'm going to look into it, and maybe try it out while I can this summer while I'm getting back into drawing/finishing commissions. I've been in a rut as my previous journal said so trying something new would be nice. ahhh.

Not sure who I'm going to make as a test run just yet. Moo-Chu or Minion the seahorse!

BUT I've some noob questions, do you guys know where to buy those head stands to do carving on? And what TYPE of buckram do you get? I bought buckram in the past and it wasn't see-through at all, so maybe I bought the wrong type or something. Also is there an online website to buy large chunks of foam? the joanns in my location only has the flat ones.

Anyways that's all, I'm excited to see how my style will look in 3D (or if I'm even capable of doing this or will it be some weird mess and I'll laugh a lot) So yeah uwu cheers.

I seriously haven't been drawing. I think I was stupid and burnt myself out with all the commissions I took at once, on top of family problems I've just been laying around feeling incredibly down and out of it…

I'm sorry I've been pretty quiet over here. I'd love it if you guys could give me some advice or ideas how to get motivated to draw again? Everything just feels really bland right now and I can't find any inspiration or motivation hnnngh.

I donno…post videos or your favorite music or something interesting if you feel like it >.</ I'm hoping after Con I'll get back to work on these things.

I haven't really announced it yet but basically my parents threw a curveball at me.

Lately I've been dealing with bathroom remodeling my entire summer. Get woken up by drilling noises every morning. The bathroom was completed last week and I thought that nightmare would finally be over.

But then my parents are like "so hi we're doing work on your closet now."

*drags paws across face*

So basically I'm being kicked out of my working area…We literally have nowhere comfortable for me to set up shop elsewhere either. My options are the dinner table (that we NEVER use) which is hard wooden chairs (that hurt my back and the table is at an uncomfortable height) or a couch which…isn't really a work area theres no surface for me to lay my laptop/tablet on or plug in.

I was told this'll be around 3-4 days…and I pray to jeebus that's the truth and not longer. I'm a creature of habit and being forced out of my room/drawing area is making me mega uncomfortable.

So yeah..wont get to be in my room until the worker guy leaves for the day (around 5-6) so this is just a heads up I'll probably be really slow at updating and working on commissions as I have the day kinda cut in half now working wise! But I think I'm more productive at night time so maybe it wont affect my speed at all. But just incase!

Ughhh so sick of remodeling! I've been having such a hard time dealing with being home alone with a stranger working in the house it's been making me get anxious! Being an introvert sucks.

Califur was lots of fun! There were some things that were unpleasant about it but it was great getting to debut Chu Chu and getting asked to take pictures /=uvu=\. I'll break it up into chunks!

GOH DINNER: Honestly kinda sucked. Our table was near the edge, and besides my friends and I (who are  lenne and  ghostasaur ) three other people sat with us and we had 3 empty seats on our table. The food was RUSHED to us, the moment they see you done (they don't ask if you are done) they replace it with the next course. We had to eat way to fast basically and it gave us all stomach aches. One chick who sat with us was a rude little shit. She's roll her eyes whenever my friends and I tried to engage in conversation because literally only her and another woman (who was nice) talked the whole time, leaving us to feel somewhat isolated even with attempts to socialize. So yeah, some 18 year old snot she was. :\ Not only that, it was a HUGE FUCKING HASSLE to get these people to change my friends order to get rid of the potatoes because they had parmesan in them--which she is allergic to. It's like…Excuse me we're paying $30 for a fucking steak dinner and instead of being sweat and saying "yes of course!" they made it seem like a huge ass deal to get rid of the mashed potatoes. Because of that I didn't even bother asking for them to remove onions from my steak because just wow...OH AND IT GETS BETTER: Some table came in late??? And a waiter literally took the bread off our table and gave it to that new table. What the actual heck??? My friend and I were still munching on bread the entire time and they literally gave our basket to another table. I….what? 4/10 would not recommend going to the GOH dinner for Califur after this experience.

Aquatic Furs Meet: A huge fucking bust. Like 8 people showed up and apparently not the organizer of the meet-up? So we all kinda sat there waiting for 50 minutes and nothing happened so we all left.

Califur T-Shirts: I teamed up with  jaxbug this year and designed a t-shirt and it seems to have sold very well at con! Which makes me incredibly happy seeing people wearing my PL&H shirt <3 Also took a commission in the artist alley that was a great experience to know what its like to be behind a table. Wish I did it more but I wasn't prepared or had a method of advertising and I didn't want to leave my friends for long XO

Fursuit: A bit disappointed at the fact I didn't get the rest of my fursuit (hooves/paws) until the last day--Sunday--which is the day everyones packing up to leave. I got to fursuit with the rest of the partial a little bit but it wasn't shown off in the fursuit parade and that's an extreme let down. People seemed to love Chu anyway despite being an incomplete partial and that made me really happy though. People recognized  shagpoke's tail~!

Fursuit Parade:  lenne and I were in the suit parade! She wasn't in suit but she had pretty deer-make-up on, I needed her since I'm such a mobile clumsy thing in suit thanks to my really poor vision plus adding blind spots on top of that. (so if you noticed I was slow or took a moment to figure out you were handing me something at any point just know that it's because I'm VERY blind x'D) We threw some dollar store stuffed animals at people, gave one to a cute little baby and whoever else uvu the sting ray plushies weren't a good idea as their fins acted like sails and they'd plop short of people but I didn't see any left in the hallway so I like to assume they all found good homes! All the swim swims!

Gargoyles Lecture: Got to meet the creator of Gargoyles! His lecture was really useful to hear! We bought his book and he signed it for us :) It was such an honor.

Merchandise: Didn't buy any art this year really as I was trying to save for Anime Expo as well, but I did get a really cute custom fragrance necklace! It was sculpted to look like Chu Chu and it smells really sweet and it's utterly adorable ahh! I bought some bandana XD one with sexy men on it (it was hilarious) and a pretty pink one! The bandanas were by  morefurless :) who are really cool people!

Peeps: Ran into some people I recognized which was really cool! Hung out a bit with  raptonx! Also found people like  straitfox,  clockworkcoon,  pandasocks,  zephyrdragon,  shadowpelt and  brown_wolf! If you found me lemme know!!! I tried my best to recognize people but in suit again I can't see very well at all so I might have missed people's badge names ;o;


Lots of people complimented my hologram badges that I made which was really nice! And I got to advertise  seagullprophet's badge buddies and handed her name out whenever anyone asked where I got mine :) It was awesome!

Thanks everyone who said hi and hung out with us and everything! You made the good outweigh the bad and made it a really enjoyable experience! I'll see you next year!

I don't wear my fursuits often enough that they're not dirty yet (wear a fursuit only 2-3 times a year as of now, and have only been fursuiting for a year or so), but I want to get some so I can maintain the cleanness!

When an artist is trying to do/make something to make more money they're seen as being a 'money grabbers' and 'greedy'.

I honestly don't understand uh…How dare they make a living??? How dare they be lucky enough to have customers to pay for their service??

Some people have this website and do artwork as their main income but for some reason it's not okay for them to try to make a little more and try new ideas out to make more money its just.

Wahhh I had a lot of fun at the FurBQ. We went a little later in the day so at first it was frustrating not finding any parking, but we had a blast and hung out with a lot of really cool people uvu

We played a card game n' ate junk food =u= totes awesome!!!

I'm really excited…This semester was extremely stressful for me, 18 units is waaay to hard to manage I'm glad I'm only taking 15 next semester. My brain needs a break.

So my friend and I have a future project for the summer. I don't want to give much away, but it involves physical characters that you can purchase! So like…3D egg adopts you see on FA! it's going to be really cool!

I've stumbled upon a problem though.

Since this project involves eggs, I'm trying to decide if I want to go with an aquatics theme or a dragon theme.

Dragons are probably more popular…But I feel aquatics are what I'm known for and it'd be great to boost their popularity though this project!

So what do you guys think? Should I go with Dragons or Aquatics!?

Apparently my cousins' grandma, who practically played neopets like every day is giving me all the neopoints she got because she's quit neopets.

And I was told that it was like 7 million or something neopoints.

And its like, holy shit.

I'm kinda sad I'm getting this when I'm kinda over my neopet phase. But now I can actually get my last dream pet--the plushie kyrii with that money. and its kinda neat to finish my last little goal on that bloody site xD
