So this way of writing words/characters is firmly in my head so I've seen it (I think/hope). I thought it was Chinese for the longest time but then I actually looked it up and found I was very wrong. Or at least it's not the Chinese/Japanese/Korean that Google Images kicked up.

It has the lines and squiggles of an oriental language but everything is enclosed in a square. One square = one word, term or name. It looks a lot like the last character on each line of

It might be a specific dialect/type of print (for newspapers?).
It might be archaic (Ancient Egyptian, cuneiform).
It might be an old font (like 15+ years old).
It might be canon to some fiction (Klingon, Elvish, etc).

Start off with: massive fangirl squeeing.

This is everything I want in a movie. Awesome special effects. Tight plot. Good writing. Good music. Very little romance. Giant robots that actually feel like giant robots. Ditto on the giant monsters. No major WTF moments. No major Well that was stupid moments. Not that there won't be when I own it and pick it apart, but it survived the theater viewing with little complaint.

I can't say how rare that is. I don't actually remember it happening before.

If you're an old school monster movie/Godzilla fan, you'll adore this. It's everything good about those movies and none of the crappy modern teen romance that gets into damn near everything American. There wasn't a single character of consequence that was under 26, if not older. Most were probably in their 30's.

All my preview generated questions were answered. Ditto with those generated in movie.

Really, really worth the theater watch.
