I've been softly debating a new account for a while.

Sort of a fresh start for myself now that I'm fairly established in my prefered genre. Also I'd like to get away from my ooooold work.

This name didn't have any particularly great meaning to me when I signed up on dA. One of my nicknames irl was 'geckoguy' because I owned 3 geckos. When I was signing up for dA it was during my lunch break in school, the bell was about to ring and I was a bit frantic... also I wasn't thinking ahead about any long term association with my chosen username XD Well 'geckoguy' was taken... as was 'geckoguy1' and 'geckoguy12'. Yes I know I wasn't being very creative, but this was when I hadn't considered being an artist, it was more of a lurker account, and waaaay before I considered myself a furry. Finally out of frustration I chose 'geckoguy123456789'

After I had started doing 'art' and embraced the furry fandom I tried to sign up on FA... buuuut that was during the stretch of time a few years ago when the new user registration was disabled. But eventually I signed up (obviously)


I'd leave this gallery as is, no work will be deleted. Plus a good way to figure out who my serious watchers are and a good way to clean up my watch list. I'll decline to say what my new name will be, but what are your thoughts are on a new account?

Hello all,

As you may have seen recently I've been coloring older sketches from Toms Pateron. I call them suggestions and not requests since they'll be done at my discretion. The only 3 rules are that I won't be coloring ones that he's already done up into full color pieces and I won't be doing ones from the current month, May, since those are still up for voting to be done by him. We're having a bit of a custody issue and are in need of some advice. Keep in mind this is summarized.


We have the dog, can't keep the dog and were looking for a new home.

A grandmother finds out and says her grand daughter may be interested

Grand daughter lives just a few blocks away

Grand daughter visits and falls in love.

She signs an agreement to pay a sudo adoption fee to cover the dog food and supplies we gave her.

Via text she communicates everything is great, however is having trouble getting the $100 payment together

We find out a week she suddenly texts in the morning that she has to move TODAY and can't take the dog.

She apologizes, expresses disappointment and asks if she can return the dog, the fee has not been paid

We agree, but today is not good as no one will be at the house

She says her mother can watch the dog for the day (this is a Wednesday)

Thursday we text the grand daughter and ask when the dog will be dropped off, she tells us her mom "will figure it out" and gives us her number

We text the mother on Thursday morning... no response...

On Thursday evening one of our friends says she can take the dog. We text both mother and daughter, and again no response.

We text twice a day until Monday evening when we FINALLY get a text from the mother...

"The dog has diarrhea, bad ear infection and hair loss. I spent $500 at the vets getting her meds. I think it would be best if she stayed with me since clearly the stress of bouncing from home to home is too much for a puppy."

After being ignored by both mother and daughter, the daughter responding "talk to my mom since she has the dog", the mother finally agrees to a phone call to sort this all out. This is a thursday afternoon.

The conversation goes well, though I disagree with my roommate for not bringing up that those health problems happened on the daughters watch, not ours.

When we explain however that the plan was for her to watch the dog for a single day while her daughter moved and that we were going to take her the next day things go south however when we voice we would like the dog back and are willing to drive to her location.

The mother says no such plan was disclosed to her, her daughter dropped off the sick dog without warning. The mother said she has fallen in love with the dog and the dog is adjusting and recovering great.

We explain that we appreciate her taking care of the health issues, we had no idea she arrived in that condition and we would gladly cover the $500 as well as a boarding fee.

The mother replied, "we could argue around in circles like this forever so this conversation is over", she then wished us a good day and hung up.

For ANOTHER week we've been texting and calling and been ignored.

Finally we get a text back form the daughter threatening a restraining order for harassment.

We received that today and have yet to respond.

So yeah... a big ol' shit storm!

In the state of CA dogs are considered property. We have a signed dated agreement for payment from the daughter which is almost a month old. We have proof of repeated attempts to contact. We are now debating texting both the mother and daughter explaining this and that we want back our unpaid for property. Our problem however is that all we know is their phone numbers, the daughters first name and her license plate.

Can we have some opinions on how to proceed?

Big thank you to everyone who commented. I was very happy to see others shared such strong feelings on the subject and I wish I could have properly read and responded (as I had planned for the weekend). Regrettably I didn't save the journal as I did not foresee it being removed. Looking back however I'm guessing some keywords mentioned in it were flagged (or my account was being watched however unlikely) and it with my accompanying scrap post were removed.

Did I break the rules by posting a screenshot? Yes
Did I break the rules by posting a link to pornographic material? Technically yes, though common opinion says that it's not CP

I understand that some people like clear cut rules while others prefer case by case. If there are to be clear cut rules then I think there should be sub rules that allow certain material. I disagree that 2 entire subjects (birth and breastfeeding) are 100% banned because of some bad apples. I get that IMVU is a company that has to protect itself, especially since FA is (probably) considered a porn site and anything involving a minor makes things touchy.

When FA banned CP that was awesome. It was a subject I think is safe to say that many people could agree was not ok. Many CP artists left on their own will, or their FA business dried up so they left... those that tried to stay and hide their material were weeded out by the community. Are there still bad apples lurking? Of course! But I'm ok with that because they're outlaws and on the run, the minute they slip up the community will flag them.

Birth and breastfeeding on the other hand... well I've been drinking at a work party and probably will ramble my opinions... is it safe to say that you all can assume what my feelings are on the matter? I think this blanket ban is bullshit.

Soooo... wanted to make a coke and whisky, but didn't have any coke. So I used cranberry juice instead. However Those 2 ingredients cancel eachother out VERY well. I recently took up chewing sunflower seeds and have been really successful in kicking the habit. Though I am fortunate that in my workplace chewing seeds on the job is acceptable as long as you refrain when a client tour is going through the complex.

So if anyone has a nail biting habit I'd recommend giving sunflower seeds a shot!

Pulling finals out of my bum this week. I feel my english class can be summed up with the meme "One does not simply write an essay"... a 12 pg essay on how to solve a 'hot button' topic is hard enough without all these silly side projects and additional steps she keeps Frankensteining onto it. At least on her evaluation I was able to work in the paragraph "seems to take great pride in splitting available class time between actual work relating to our current essay and unrelated spacefiller. Poor lesson planning is bad enough without being so painfully obvious. Also ignoring students who question the relevance of said makework doesn't make it any more believable."

As per school regulations, these evaluations aren't disclosed until after grades have been finalized =3


On the plus side though my American history teacher is a pretty chill dude, though the amount of content his tests include I find daunting.

I wonder if the secret service will have to replace all the knobs with handles...
