After a fun time at AnthroCon and quite a few compliments on the pony amis I've been working on, I'm breathing new life into this space. I even did ambitious things like registering geekigurumi.com (because dude, GoDaddy rocks the cheap domain registrations) and getting my username as a Twitter account.

Next year, my plan is to have a stock of amigurumis (mostly ponies) ready to sell at AnthroCon, possibly enter into the art show. There are a lot of fan favorites, like Dr. Whooves, Derpy, and DJ Pon4, who despite being popular, don't get much love from big-name toy companies (I'm looking at you, Build-A-Bear) because they're not the "mane" 6. I could make those. I could make the hell out of those.

I thought custom pony creations would be a draw... and maybe they will, but I'm thinking first I have to have a presence that says "Look, I make these!" If there's anything I've learned from observing Drake's sales at AC, it's that a lot of buyers want instant gratification rather than a custom commission.

So! Later today I'll put up pictures of my current ponies, and get my butt to work on making more. Looking forward to AC 14!
