So yesterday I finished moving all my junk from one apartment to another, it took 6 people, including me, all afternoon working non-stop, and we ended up sweaty, sore, and tired as hell, but man I'm glad to be done with that.

I'm going to share a three bedroom apartment with two other guys (no room sharing ftw), one of them is a real bro, helped me move and is really nice overall, but the other one is probably going to be hell to live with. He's one of those rich, spoiled kids who likes to wave wads of money in your face, and also happens to like everything you abhor. I expect a not so pleasant experience with him, but oh well, we need someone to split the rent with.

This is going to be a wild ride.

It's been a little more than a week since I drove back to my home town. I'm glad to be back, but with my return comes the routinary sadness as I realise how much most of my friends here suck. I've been invited twice to one of their houses and both times I got tobacco and pot smoke blown onto my face; as a non-smoker, this is bloody disgusting and painful in the head after a while, and also makes me feel like shit the next morning. The second time, right as the whole house got filled with the loathsome reek of burnt mary jane, I simply decided to silently let myself out and drove back home. It looks like this is what they'll be doing every time we go out, and it sucks. They get worse every semester, I've grown mad at them.

I have yet to meet the rest of my friends, those who seem to have separated from this first group; I hope they haven't degraded like the others did, and quite honestly, I'm afraid to find out. I've taken the habit of climbing up on my roof and staring at the city during sunset instead of attempting any socialisation. I need sane people to do sane stuff with, like go out for some tea or ice cream, to the arcade, go home for some videogames, or just cruise around.

This just doesn't feel like home anymore.

Spring break's coming up! Finally!
God damn I hate February, always making me feel miserable... I'm so glad we're getting a "week off" of school.

I'm not sure teachers understand the concept of "break", though. Like, they do everything they can so you can't just have a nice week of not worrying about school-related *ahem* bovine excrement. I mean, come on... Forty six homework problems due on Tuesday after the break? And you even... nonchalantly say we have more than enough time to sit and do the homework during the break? Plus a midterm on Wednesday? Jeeze, man.

So yeah. I'm pretty much pushing myself to finish all the homework before the break starts, because, even if I don't have any awesome beach trip (or any other kind of trip) planned, I'd really like to use that free time to actually try to finish at least one of the drawings I have sitting in my hard drive, or maybe start drawing some of the ideas I keep coming up with. School's been holding me back. I hate leaving my DA and FA unattended for months, but there's usually no time for them, and where there is, I'm usually so fed up with life I just.. Well, do whatever else, with no creative juices or motivation to do anything. I love drawing, it's one thing that reallymakes me happy, but I need time for it.

Alright, I'm done ranting here, but just one last thing because I'm curious...

What are your plans for the break? Heading anywhere? Just staying home? I don't know how many people read my journals, or even know I'm still kinda active alive, but that question goes for those who do.

I am so sorry for leaving this place abandoned yet again. School has been sucking up a good deal of my free time, thus I haven't had the chance to sketch anything but random tiny eyes in the middle of my calculus notes. Any measly quantity of motivation to draw I had has been squished by the overwhelming stacks of homework I've had to do.

I don't feel like I should be sorry about leaving this place so forgotten, but I still do. Every time I come to FA to check on my messages, I see all the spider webs being weaved on the corners of my user page and dust building up on top of the boxes. However, Spring Break is coming up and I already have something to work on. I have all that week to finish it, and I do hope my drawing hand hasn't built up any rust (because I'm secretly a robot kind of thing).

On a side note, I'm thinking on taking commissions, everything is already set up and I'm thinking prices and what I want to offer you people. Buuuut, that may have to wait until the end of this term. I really don't want to keep anyone waiting too long on their piece of GC scribbles, so I'll put that off until I'm able to actually get things done.

First snow day I've seen in two years and first time school gets cancelled in 5.
I. AM. ECSTATIC.

Soooo... Snow day took kind of a bad turn.

Apparently this place is not prepared at all for a snow storm. The boiler died on the whole building, or maybe just my apartment. Nonetheless, this resulted in no hot water, and the heater needs hot water to heat up my flat. This also means no hot shower for me tonight. News channel says our gas company is having trouble supplying natural gas to so many people at the same time. Thus, as of now I'm a frozen popscicle. I've survived thanks to an electric space heater and a fluffy blanket, though. However, temperatures continue to drop. This morning my car said it was -12 C outside, I bet it's quite a bit colder now. Lets hope I'm still able to use my electric heater tonight. The fact that this place is built out of cardboard and holes kinda has me worried.

Fortunately there haven't been any power outages, despite the news saying they are a possibility, and there's this really bad blizzard going on at the moment which has been killing my internet all day.

This snow day is slowly turning into that movie "The Day After Tomorrow". I have plenty of books to burn, but no matches, and if I loose electricity I can't use the heater, toaster or stove to make fire. XD

I might have to go all Bear Grylls here if my car breaks down, or the roads are too frozen to drive on. : P

In spite of it all, this is fun, and I'm glad school's cancelled tomorrow as well.

Now I know my friends were the only thing keeping my head from exploding. Seriously, first week of college, weekend peeks its beautiful head around the corner and me? Sitting in front of a laptop, hyperactive and freaking friendless. I'd jump out the window just for the kicks, to have something to do, even if that thing is being transported on an ambulance down to the hospital because GC, being the hyperactive little wench he is, decided Friday nights were for doing something extreme, so he chucked himself off the second floor of an apartment building.

Right, maybe I should have done this a week ago, but whatever.

This past week I spent it settling in this strange, arid land people call Texas, where I'm going to for college. Been and will be staying in a flat with my brother throughout the semester. Who knows how this will work out?

I've already had my first experience with college, this whole week was all about orientation. It sucked, mainly because I had to get up early in the morning, something for which I was so very unprepared. But yeah, it all was over by Thursday, which meant GC could have some more sleep again, something that made GC a very happy cat. The reduced hours of sleep and having my eating schedule screwed up with made me catch a cold, which sucks, but I'm sure I'll get better in a day or two.

Today I'm allegedly heading back home for a week to get the rest of my stuff and do some things I haven't done. It'll be nice, I'll get to see my friends and family who I've already started to miss, even though I was gone only for one week. Yes, GC is a wuss, he knows this already.

And well, that was my week in a nutshell. Not sure about what else to say, I'll just go rawr and end this journal.
