Posted 8 years agoWellp, tomorrow is the day I finally ramp up my journey to 3D Modeling and Animation. I know I had all the opportunity in the world previously to do it, but I'll admit I'm an individual that severely lacks life motivation (excluding animal welfare and world betterment). Because let's be honest, it's hard to be motivated in this world. That said, I do a little better if I'm given timeframes or deadlines, and so that's why I'm hoping actual classes will help me learn the thing I should have learned half a decade ago...
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't terrified to the bone, though. I hear some people say it's not too bad, others say it's difficult... Some say you don't require a lot of artistic talent to be a good modeler, others say it's hard to do if you have none, and anyone who has seen my traditional work knows my skills are novice at best.
So... We'll see how this goes. I'm terrified as hell and wouldn't be surprised if I die of some panic-induced heart attack... Fingers crossed things go well.

Personal activity and information, housekeeping, new series
Posted 8 years agoHello all you lovely, beautiful people. It's been quite some time... Too long, actually, since I've even stopped by to say hello. I'm here, and I have a lot of stuff to talk about. I first want to apologize for my long, inexcusable absence. I say this all the time, and I mean it every time: You guys are too amazing and awesome, more than I deserve, and my abandonment is just not right... I hope you guys can forgive me for being such a fool.
Like stated, I have a lot of personal stuff and general housekeeping info pertaining to my art to talk about, so I'm going to split them up into sections for some easy reading:
Personal Activity/Information
I guess there's really no better place to start than to tell you guys some stuff I should have revealed when I first “set up shop” on FA, but I'm a super shy guy and I kind of avoided doing this. The time has come, and I owe you this much, at least:
So, a little bit about me... I have a lot of problems, guys... The first I should address is probably what keeps me away so much: My extreme antisocial behavior... Yeah. I suffer from a host of phobias that keep me from wanting to be around others- From my germaphobia to my mild anthropophobia and fatally extreme glossophobia. The worst part of my phobias would definitely be the one where I'm completely afraid of communicating with other people (or at least how they will respond to what I say) in any way, shape, or form. I don't want to say it may be complete Avoidant Personality Disorder, but they do tick a lot of the same marks (not wanting to be around other humans while still striving for some sort of company, terrible self-perception, social anxiety, etc.) One thing I have all but confirmed I may suffer from is some form of Depression. This isn't just from my own self-diagnosis, but also from many other people, some who have in the past and still currently fight Depression every day. The cruelty and hate I see every day doesn't help any of these states at all, and that cooking alongside all my other problems makes it hard for me, a lot of times, to find the motivation to move on with things- Which, among many other things, means keeping up with my submissions, requests, and just keeping up with all you amazing people... And I know it's not fair to you guys that I let all these problems keep me from at least staying in contact. So, what I'm trying to say here is I need to stop with excuses, stop promising you guys that when I come back it'll be for good. I never plan on dropping off the radar and I sure hate myself for doing it, but a lot of times I just can't help the feelings that flood over me and I just run away, curl up in a corner, and leave everyone in the dark... Sadly I can never confirm when this will happen.
I wish that was the only reason I was so inactive this year so far, but lo, it's not. 2017 has truly been a horrible year so far- February I lost a dear family friend to a heart attack. We've been trying to help his loved ones get through it, but they're not doing too good and I always fear the worst. Just a little over a week ago I euthanized my dearest fur baby due to an incurable lung fluid build-up from a weak heart... I know not everyone can understand someone who sees an animal on the same level as a human, but to me it's no different, and I haven't been handling it well. To tack even more heartache onto this tragedy, I lost my second fur baby, and it's highly likely to be from the exact same disease, just a few days ago, (I guess I deserve it for adopting strays and abandoned animals.) I don't want to use these tragedies to direct sympathy towards me, because the ones who have left are who deserve the sympathy (and my beautiful buddy,
blackhowler12 has really been helping me pull through personally.) All these tragedies piling up have made it hard to think about anything else over the last few months...
So, I hope this information helps clear up why I so infamously disappear months at a time for no called reason, and why I've been gone so long. I'm really sorry, guys. I truly don't mean to keep doing this.
Housekeeping
So, it's been so long now, I'm sure it comes as no surprise that I am completely lost on the requests that I have backed up. With this said, I'm reworking my request system again- As you can probably tell, keeping track of requests and currently worked items on my front page was messy and really hurt more than help. Unfortunately, this means I will be wiping all the current requests I may have on the table completely clean. I really apologize to those who have been waiting for requests from me, and I hope this doesn't tarnish our working or personal relationships... I'm going to be keeping a request database (or spreadsheet if I'm too lazy) and have a journal on here that will have all currently worked requests on it. Sadly I won't be taking requests until I put this journal up. When I get it up, if you did have requests on the table, please just restate them again, I'd really appreciate it, and I'll add them in my sheet and journal immediately.
So, there is another (fairly large) thing that will be changing: As you know I love writing (even if I'm not amazing at it) and music. With this, I might end up adding more story to my pieces, whether that be more pieces with dialogue in them, or just more descriptive, well... Descriptions of my submissions. On top of this, a lot of my pieces get inspired by the feelings that are invoked in me while I'm listening to my music, so I hope it's no problem that I'll be posting a LOT more submissions that will have inspiration from music that has hit me at the time (much like that “Free Like the Wind” piece I made quite a while back.)
Now sadly this is still a while away, but it's something I have promised for a while... As long as things don't spin out of control on me- Expect a good possibility of seeing actual original 3D characters and animations made by me at the end of this year/beginning of next year (fingers crossed, we'll see how this actually goes.) With that said, if it does finally become a reality, I will also hopefully be opening commissions on making 3D OC's and Animations for others. (Price-wise, I hope I can be extremely affordable in this matter, I already have an idea in my head how I will go about this. That matter will be addressed if/when this point comes to fruition, though.)
New Series – Ask Driexel
Lastly, but not least, I'm really wanting to open one of those “Ask” series in the form of “Ask Driexel.” My reasoning for doing this is, in all honesty, to possibly help learn about you guys and to hopefully help show more of myself and characters to you all. This will be an open-ask series- So you will be able to ask Driexel any questions you want about anyone or anything you want. (Whether they be characters or real-life stuff.) You can ask him his opinion on things or others, as well as other's opinions on the same, and the hyena will answer to the best of his abilities.
(Side note: If you want to ask him a question about me, mention Gelrend in your ask. If you mention Gelemar, I'll assume you're asking a question about my fursona, and not me.)
It's going to be a little while before I actually open up this series, and when I do I'll try to add more information pertaining to it.
I believe this about covers everything I wanted to say so far. I'm sure there's much more, but I can't pull it out of my brain at the moment. Thank you all for being so patient with me, I truly appreciate it.

Posted 9 years agoSo I've been gone for a while again, I wanted to apologize to everyone for doing so. I know I'm always disappearing all the time, and it annoys me to no end :( Sadly I still won't be back for a while, though. I just was released from the Hospital a day ago for Malignant Hypertension. The operation they did in me restricts me from doing any physical labor that can be stressful toward my groin area. This is included no lifting, sitting, or sexual situations (And those who make naughty art know how hard that last part would be to avoid). So hopefully I'll be back in the clear in a week, if my doctor gives me the. Clear. Fingers crossed. I love and miss you all *Hugs*

Posted 10 years agoHey guys! As a tradition that I love, I always like to give thanks to everyone during the New Year. i got a little caught up and behind this year, and for that I apologize, but it's never too late to give thanks to others, in my book!
So this year, I want to say thank you to all of my watchers, favers, and likers! You guys are the reason I do this! I love every single one of you, and talking to you all, whether it's deep conversation, or just small back-and-forth regarding these critters being dirty little sex-lovers, I enjoy every conversation I get to partake with every one of you! <3 Sometimes I may not seem to show it thanks to the lack of my responding to you guys, but I don't intend to do those purposely, sometimes I get caught up, overwhelmed, and just absolutely, absent-mindlessly forgetful about this stuff...
But let me say that you guys all mean SO much to me, and I mean that in deepest sympathies and with all of my heart! I don't know what my life would be like if I never met or got to talk to you guys... My away-from-FA life is pretty sad and depressing, and I don't seem to be as happy-go-lucky of a guy as I used to be. So I mean this as much as I possibly could mean it when I say: If it wasn't for you lovely, wonderful people, I may not even be here now. :')
I don't want to leave this on such a depressing note, and there are some people that I really need to give some huge love to...
I start out, of course, with blackhowler12 who has become such an important person to me in the short span of a year... I'm glad I can call you a friend, you have helped me out with so much over the past year, from teaching me the basics of Daz/Poser, to the even more complicated, in-depth aspects of the program, always willing to offer support and advice on my pieces, and you helped me overcome some hardships when this account became a start-up in the fandom, helping me fight back against one of the less-than-savory members of our community as well. On top of that, you always know what to say to cheer me up when I'm down, and I always love talking with you, regardless what topic may come up. As being the first real friend I met on FA after starting this account, you'll always be extremely important to me, buddy! ^_^
Another one would be
darkwargreymon who I was introduced to shortly after joining the community. Another person who I just loved talking to all the time, regardless the topic, also helped me with many things. When I felt down, he always knew how to help me back up, and also was there to talk when I was at my lowest. He surprised me with one of the coolest, spur-of-the moment gifts I had ever come into possession to, which I was totally astounded and flabbergasted when I had seen it! You are such a wonderful person as well, and one I'm truly honored to have met in my time on this site! :D
What was even more amazing to me, is that I have always admired Howler and Teph's art, never did I ever believe that I would be able to call them good friends! <3
Another huge thank you to
myp2p, who has been such a sweet, caring individual! It's always a pleasure to talk with you, and your cheery, positive attitude always makes me smile when we talk, and for someone who's always looking at the gray side of things, having someone who can break through that gray to let the sun shine through is something that has helped me become better! :)

I've been in a writing mood for the last year or so, and I was wondering what you guys would think if I posted some of my writings on this page as well? I'd explicitly keep it related to characters on this page (so none of my characters from my main account, unless they're interacting with models from pictures on this page.) I also was wondering, when I get a chance to get back to working on the sets, would you guys prefer them to have more detail story-wise, or just keep it to the bare minimum, focusing on the creatures involved participating in doing the "nasty" that they love doing so much?!
I love all of you guys and want you all to be a part of this page as much as I am, so every opinion you guys have matters extremely to me!

The Fates are Against me
Posted 11 years agoHey, lovelies! I know I haven't been on for quite a bit again, and I truly apologize for it, but...
I have some shit going on that I'm quite not dealing with too well.
Some of you already know some, if not all, of this, but in the span of one week, I have had four multiple vehicles break down on me. One of them was ripped to pieces so bad it's irreplaceable, so I had to get rid of it. During this week, I had no means to get to school or work, so I have a week's worth of work to catch up on. To make matters worse, I called up a buddy to drive me to my workplace, only to walk in and get fired...
And to put the icing on the cake, my computer that I use mainly for posting art and keeping in touch with the FA community has broke down. I'm trying to fix it, but having no luck.
Everything has caused me to be very emotional and angry, and when I'm really emotional, I drop the rendering and go back to my writing. So I've been doing that a lot now, and I know it's not fair to you guys who have requests and arts your waiting for.
So... I apologize for the recent inactivity and lack of... Anything. I can't even say I'll be on more, because it'd be a horrible lie. I'll try to get on occasionally to at least say hello, but nothing beyond that can be guaranteed.
Sorry, everyone :( I truly hate being gone so much, but there's way too much BS I have to deal with at the moment.

Info Regarding Requests and a Small Face Change
Posted 11 years agoHey lovelies! I wanted to quickly throw this out there. I've decided to add a kind of "work area" to my front page, it's going to have info on every single piece I'm currently working on, but the most important thing on there will be the request slot. This way I'll know who currently has a request on the table, and who asked for one first.
I feel that I take a veeery long time to finish request, moreso than anything else, and I don't want to give off that feel that I forgot about you guys, or I don't really care much for the request you asked about. I love all your amazing ideas, and I love putting them in renders! ^_^
As far as requests go, here's a little more info on certain things:
I'm very lenient as far as what I will do. As long as there's no scat, dismemberment, or death... Pretty much anything else goes as long as it's in the parameters of my abilties.
I may take a little longer depending on the content, as some stuff may require a new prop or medium that I'm not currently used to yet. So some stuff may stretch over the span of months.
Hopefully it doesn't get to the span of a year, but seeing as time is not my friend, there may be a very rare occasion that this could happen? I'm just going to do everything in my power to keep it from doing so.
Lastly: Requests are free! Totally free, they always have been and always will be! <3
Like I said I'm always very open to what you guys want to see. So if something comes across your mind, don't be afraid to shoot me a note or comment on a pic or journal if you'd like something. I read every comment you guys send me, so don't worry about being explicit on how you contact me! Just put your idea wherever you feel comfortable (of course as long as it'll cause FA to send me a notification in some way :p)

I'm going to do a raffle! So here's the rules.
1) You must (like always) be subscribed to this account.
2) Just comment with a ref of the character you want of yours.
3) The raffle will end Thursday, July 24th at 11:59 PM EST.
4) The winner will be chosen at random with a number generator
5) The winner can choose any OC on my main account ( http://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/gelemar ) to have their character be with. We can negotiate if you want to see more than just a couple's piece.
6) We will also br looking at artists to commission if you fancy certain people.
Restrictions:
1) There will be a price cap (which I've yet to figure out) as I am nowhere near wealthy.
2) I will not accept requests including: Death, heavy gore, amputation, decapitation, scat, or sexual ambiguity (characters missing their "goodies")
3) Probably already know but... No humans, please!

Just wanted to thank everyone again!! Love you all so much, and I appreciate every word, comment, watch, and fav!! I can't thank you guys enough for any of this!! *Hugs*
So I wanted to do something super special for you guys regarding this large milestone (to me it is, anyway ^_^)
But I actually have a couple ideas, and the piece I was secretly working on will more than likely never happen because my version of LAMH is broken as hell. *Scratches head*. So I was wondering what you guys would like to see? I have 3 suggestions so far:
1.) Two pictures in similar taste as the watchers pics. Same rules apply and everything.
2.) One special picture. Each one of you guys get ONE vote for who you'd like to see, but who you vote for is a guaranteed shoe-in. If a large amount of characters are present, I may have to split into multiple, singular themed pieces.
3.) I'll hold a raffle for about a week or so. Those who participate will be entered, and the winner will get a piece of artwork by a talented digital or traditional artist (in other words, not me...) The winner's 'sona (or OC) will get to spend some time with a character of mine of their choosing (it can be anyone on that page as long as it is not owned by another person.)
Also, if you guys have any other ideas or questions, feel free to post them in the comments! I'm open for anything! Again thank you so much! Love you all!!! :D

2.) One special picture. Each one of you guys get ONE vote for who you'd like to see, but who you vote for is a guaranteed shoe-in. If a large amount of characters are present, I may have to split into multiple, singular themed pieces.
3.) I'll hold a raffle for about a week or so. Those who participate will be entered, and the winner will get a piece of artwork by a talented digital or traditional artist (in other words, not me...) Hey guys!! So a lot of you probably already know that I have a bad habit of letting time slip away. Sometimes there's just so much to do and just not enough time in the day to do it... (In all honesty I don't know why that pertains to this journal, but anyways...) So some others of you may know that I have a hard time living financially... Working for the man barely above minimum wage is hard, and school doesn't help costs much...
Anyways, enough of my bickering/whining/sob story.
On with the purpose of this journal!! (Geez I just can't turn this mouth off...)
So very soon here, as to what I'm hoping is this month, but at the latest will be next month, my work will be giving out their half-yearly bonus checks... Now it's never enough (cause peons don't get the green...)
But what I do know is it will be enough, or barely under enough, to finally get to go out and buy AniMate 2.5!
I remember someone asked me a while back if I plan on doing animations, and the answer is yes! I've always wanted to learn them, and I've heard this is a good platform to learn on... So we'll see how things go with them, and I'm really hoping on being able to open them up for requests or something similar as well!
So while it may still be a whiles away, I just wanted to make this journal while the realization was still clear in my head.

I would say that this set is a little over halfway done, so I thought it a good time to start looking into the next set. I have five planned right now, so I wanted to see which of these five you guys would like to see the most! ^_^
The only rules for voting are:

2.) I will put each image set's name in the comments, whichever one you want to see next, just put your votes under that.

Random info journal (and the state of Arousing Alpha)
Posted 11 years agoHey guys! Haven't made one of these ever, so I decided now would be as good a time as any to do so. Alright so let me start off with the image set, Arousing Alpha. I haven't been able to work on it for quite some time, but it's not dead. It's still alive and kicking, and I just finished up the next five images recently, so I'm going to try to get those out later today/tomorrow.
I also wanted to let you all know, regarding requests, if there's something you want to see involving any of the models, please feel free to ask! There's a few fetishes/themes that I will not draw, but they're few and far between, so if you have something in mind, just ask away! :)
