AT&T have change some stuff with their insurance so my medications are a little f**ked up right now. So I will be slower to respond to things because I can only see about 3 feet, anything past that is a blur. So if I have missed anything please go ahead and re-send it. I guess this is going to take about 2 more weeks to fix so please be patience.
I will be at the Rustycon meeting tomorrow, but James will be driving.

I have a question about Art on FA?
Posted 12 years agoHi All
So when I get stressed or depressed I like to color. Now first you have to understand I cannot draw a stick figure without a ruler and I don't no how to do shading or anything life that. My coloring is just like doing a coloring book . I don't post it it stays on my computer and I do put it on my Kindle so when I get asked when art do I do, I tell them none but I color other people's art to relax or to some artist I have showed them what I have done with there art. I always make sure people understand that I did not draw this and give credit to the artist.
I have had some people say I should post it on FA and that makes me nervous. I know if I did i am going to give the artist credit since you all that draw these pictures are fantastic. I know if the descriptions I will put a notice saying that I did not draw this. My worry is I have seen the artist later color the picture they have done and they look great, and I don't want to post what I did and they get upset because it's doesn't look good to them or it's not what they would have done.
So my question is should I post any of it?

Seattle Pride Parade 2011 will have furrys
Posted 14 years agoHi All
This weekend is Seattle Pride. So for the fur's not going to AC and want something to do, some of the Pacific Northwest Furries bought a spot in the Pride Parade this weekend. We will be having a float of sorts and ice chest full on water for the fursuiters so they don't overheat. We have a SUV and are making the back a kinda headless lounge so 2 fursuiters at a time can take there heads off.
We will be decorating the trailer once we get to our staging area. Our staging area is on 3rd Ave and Cherry St. and we need everyone to show up at 9:00am for setup and the parade starts at 11:00am so please start showing up at 9:00am. You can bring you pets to walk with you, but just remember you need to pickup after your animals and we will have a bucket on the trailer to put your baggies. Parking is going to suck and at a premium so I would car pool and get there early (WARNING: 4th and 3rd you will find no parking ) so do what you can.
This is NOT a Rainfurrest event, so please don't wear your uniform shirts, but you can wear your t-shirts. It's time to show Seattle that we are here and we are dam proud to be furry and proud to be gay and that we support pride. If you have any questions email me at dragonfly.goodnight@gmail.com.
Please spread this around we would like a big showing.

Seattle Pride Parade 2011
Posted 14 years agoHi All
My mate James is trying to get furries in the Seattle Pride Parade this year. He's already paided for the spot in the parade and would like anyone that wants to shake there tail and wants to show there pride to come join us. So if your not going to AC this year and want something to do drop me a line.
Also if anyone wants to donate for decorations that would be great too.

RainFurrest Art Show is OPEN!!!!!
Posted 14 years agoDear Artist,
Greetings, I have the joy of informing you that the RainFurrest Art Show is open to take registration. You are receiving this letter as you have been in our Art Show before or we would like to have you in our Art show. This year’s theme is Camp, and our Artist Guest of Honor this year is Tani DaReal and Writer Guest of Honor is Alan Dean Foster. If you would like to submit drawing for our con book we would be very happy.
One of the new things we will be doing is putting the artist name up on the web page after they buy a panel, so we can let people know who’s hanging in our art show.
We will have three areas in the Art Show this year, G to PG, which is for General Art and an Adult section which you, can buy panels for. Now for some of the art that can go either way we will have a “R” rate area just before the Adult section which are not for sale. This section will be for art that’s in between, So if you send us 5 pieces of art and one is very suggestive, but not adult it will go into the “R” section at not cost.
Art panels are $10 per panel, and four feet by four feet; there will also be a 10% commission fee on all sales in the Art Show. Half tables are also available for $10 for artists who wish to show 3D artwork. If you cannot make the con we will be happy to except mail-in art. Please check the web site for information.
We also would like to see if willing to donate a piece of art to our charity auction?
Again, we hope to see you in our Art Show.
RainFurrest 2011 Art Show Team.

RainFurrest Needs a Plushie!!!!!
Posted 15 years agoWell, actually, RainFurrest already has a mascot: Rainy the cougar. What we need is a Rainy plushie. That's where YOU come in!
You have from now until RainFurrest 2011 (September 22-25, 2011) to design and build a plushie of Rainy. Pose, clothing, and even gender are up to you - Rainy can be a male or female cougar. We do have two simple requests that you do follow, however:
* The plushie can be up to life-sized, but must be at least 12 inches tall. We want Rainy to be easily seen!
* The final plushie must be rated G to PG. No naughty plushies, please; this is an all-ages convention.
The winner will, alas, have to give up their entry to the convention. It's not going in some dusty bin, however; it's going to be the Con Chair's new badge of office! It'll be well cared for, and seen at every official RainFurrest function - including the convention itself, of course!
On the good side, though, the creator of the winning entry will get a FREE PATRON MEMBERSHIP to RainFurrest 2012! Patrons get early entry to the Dealer's Den and Art Show, priority seating in the Main Theater, a RainFurrest exclusive GOLD pin, and more!
So if you want a free Patron membership, and the renown that comes with making the official Rainy the cougar plushie, now's your chance! We here at RainFurrest are looking forward to seeing what all you plushie builders come up with.
And we'll see you all at RainFurrest 2011!

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS for RainFurrest
Posted 15 years agoHi Writer-furs
So we are starting to do a “ All Call for Submission” for the anthology we will be lanching at RainFurrest.
So just to recap a few things:
1. The theme is " Camp Rainfurrest"
2. Word count is 2,500 to 5,000 words.
3. All writers and artist are waiving all payments, because all the money from this anthology goes to charity.
4. Use 12 point font and double space. Please use a font that can be read.
5. We have a year to get this done and ready to be sold at next Rainfurrest. You will all get a copy of the book if you make it into it.
6. G to PG Rating.
So here is the time line I have worked out with FurPlanet. Yeah there has been a change of publishers. We need to stay strict to the timeline to get it done in time for the con.
Timeline -
Now to Feb 1st 2011 - First Draft This is where we will pick who is going in the book.
Feb 15 to April 1st - second Draft. If you are picked this is where you will need to work on your second draft and clean it up.
April 15 to June 1st - Final Draft.
After the first draft stories are picked we have artist waiting and will send them your stories to put some art to it. If you have a friend that’s an artist you would like to use let us know. We will be putting this letter up on the web page soon, but before we do an all call we are giving you all a head start.
We will also be doing a book launch at the convention for the anthology.
I hope you all have been working on your stories and I can’t wait to see them. So they don’t get lost in my regular email please send all stories to genearmstrong[at]me.com . I and our editors are waiting to see what you all come up with.

Rainfurrest 2010 - News Flash - Bowling Shocker!
Posted 15 years agoShocking news has emerged from this weekend's Rainfurrest Bowling Cup. The Cosmofurs have won!!!
"Long live the glorious socialist furry revolution!" pronounced Lennin Lemming, Secretary General of the Eastern Empire. "This great victory comes only 50 days after the May Day Revolution, a great honor to superior socialst furry bowling training."
The tournament director, Chaos Reign, designated that the teams be judged on total number of pins divided by number of team players. Thus, the Cosmofurs just nipped the Astrofurs and left the Hippiefurs in a distant trance.
At an interview late Saturday night, the Rainfurrest Cougar said, "the results of the Bowling Cup are a terrible blow to the cause of free furs everywhere and a strong indication that the Cosmofur empire has more ambitious plans than just knocking down bowling pins."
Even later Saturday night hippiefur Holly Cowswammi was quoted as saying, "Far out, man. Far out."
The final scores were:
Cosmofurs - total pins 1999, average 666, high score by Kijani, 232
Astrofurs - total pins 1991, average 664, high score by Xodiac, 147
Hippiefurs - total pins 1341, average 447, high score by Gene,159
