Gaming for Kitties 2020!
General | Posted 5 years agoWell, with three months to go until Kitties it’s time I did a writeup.
Before anything else, We need to address the elephant in the room. Yes, we’re fundraising for THAT Big Cat Rescue. If you have seen the Netflix documentary you should probably read this: https://bigcatrescue.org/refuting-n.....ix-tiger-king/ One thing they don’t tell you regarding documentaries is that they can lie all they want. If you still don’t agree with them, no harm, no foul. But I’ve supported this cause for almost a decade now and I’d like to keep doing that work.
With that out of the way, let’s go into the basics for the people who have no idea what I’m on about.
1. Gaming for Kitties is a 48 hour gaming marathon to benefit Big Cat Rescue. The event will happen October 24-25, the weekend before Halloween.
2. We give away prizes every hour. You don’t have to donate to win those prizes as that would be considered gambling.
3. We do fun things at every milestone we make. For every $1,000 we earn, Fox gets a Strawberry Lemonade Snapple which you cannot buy in the US anymore. I import them from Europe. At $3,000 (BEFORE THE STREAM!) Fox is going to go a Dinosaur theme park in Florida that has very inaccurate Dinosaur models and people will be there to record the reactions. During the stream itself will be having the pit crew try weird Japanese foods and doing all sorts of fun things for donations.
4. As always, Fox will be here to record fun things as our official Court Reporter. Those of you unfamiliar with the concept, Court Reporters are people who draw courtroom scenes because cameras are not usually allowed in courtrooms. As most of us don’t look very photogenic during the streams, we have Fox do drawings of us instead. You can see Fox’s drawings from last year here: https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery.....orter-Year-Six And you can easily find the ones from past years and other events by looking in the other folders.
5. If you attend my gamestreams, I can assure you that the ones I play for Kitties are a whole different ballgame. I have games I save just for the marathon that are fun and unique experiences for everyone. It’s entertaining enough that people often make sure they know the dates so they can request time off of work just to sit here and enjoy things with everyone.
6. This year is going to be especially rough due to the pandemic and the documentary, If you want to help, please spread the word and donate.
7. Our donation page is here: https://www.mightycause.com/story/Kitties2020 If you get a blank page, please disable your adblocker.
8. Your donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE. The reason why I use that site is because you can use the receipt from your donation on your taxes. If you’re scrounging for deductions, consider this!
I will have a separate donation pool open for helping us have food that weekend. We are expecting 10-15 guests for pit crew this year and I would like to make sure they all can eat. I have a private document where I’m tallying up costs and things that I will be happy to show you if you’re curious about what I plan to do and how much I need. And before anyone worries we WILL have proper social distancing guidelines and things for people here. Everyone who comes will be issued a kit with hand sanitizer and multiple cloth masks that have been treated to make them more effective, and we’re going to have guests in two locations, my house and Fox’s new place which is giant. I’m probably going to do some temperature checks and things as well. (I mention this just because I half expect someone to jump on me about not being safe.)
Again, the event will happen October 24-25 If we make $3,000 before October 22nd, Fox will go out with some of the pit crew people and hit up am old dinosaur theme park and suffer through their out of date dinosaur models. And for every $1000 we make, Fox gets a snapple.
I really hope to see all of you there!

Megaplex is Canceled, What's Next?
General | Posted 5 years agoNow that the announcement is public I can say it here.
Megaplex this year is canceled, or more precisely it’s postponed until next year. I am truly sorry, but it’s for the best as we can’t 100% guarantee people’s safety. If you have hotel rooms make sure they’re canceled, and if you bought them on the room block, your hotel room should be automatically canceled.
The convention WILL have an online presence and I will still be there helping the dealers as much as I can. I don’t know what that will entail yet but as soon as I do I will let people know. Right now Megaplex is focused on making sure we will have a convention next year and deciding how to manage an online convention. So even though the convention won’t happen in the real world, there will be a digital one and I hope to see you guys there.
Which means that the next big ‘in person’ event I have to plan and prepare for will be Gaming for Kitties in October. I had heard that BLFC has rescheduled for Halloween weekend so I am scheduling GFK for the weekend before that, although we’ve always been traditionally the weekend before Halloween.
As many of you know, I like to have a pre-marathon goal, and we’ve decided that this year that if we can raise $3000 before October, we’ll make Fox go to a local dinosaur theme park called Dinosaur World. The dinosaur models there are old and out of date, so it should have the appropriate traumatizing reaction for her. And those of you who feel bad, don’t worry, there’s a winery nearby that she’ll be taken to, to recover.
We’ll miss seeing you guys in august, but we hope you enjoy the online con and we look forward to giving you a great show in October.

So, seen any good documentaries latey?
General | Posted 5 years agoI’ve had a few people reach out to me so I figured it might be a good idea to get a journal up for the people who might be a little nervous about contacting me or who are just wondering about my opinion of the whole Joe Exotic thing, considering I fundraise every year for Big Cat Rescue.
The whole feud between Exotic and Baskin started because Joe made a lot of his money off of cub petting. If you’ve participated then I’m not going to judge you, but you should know that the cubs used in cub petting are often in poor health because they’re taken away from their mothers so they don’t get those antibodies they need from her milk to help them stay healthy, and they are stressed from being forced to stay awake so people can pose with them for hours. Even worse, once the cubs are old enough to be able to injure someone they are often destroyed. Sometimes to make them stay in circulation longer they are declawed and defanged, but they still meet the same end when they're big enough to hurt someone. Carole would call the places that the cub petting was scheduled and tell them about the abuse and encourage them not to host it. Exotic lost a lot of his income because of that and went after Carole in revenge, including renting a helicopter to hover over BCR to try and prove BCR was bad because the enclosures were ‘too small’ (the smallest is 1200 square feet, the size of a small house). I should also add that while he was in the helicopter over the sanctuary one of the cougars had a seizure. You can see the video from that here: https://youtu.be/pkVR0bubqQ8?t=214
The documentary left out a lot of important details. Like the fact that Carole Baskin’s husband was showing signs of dementia before he vanished, and that there are witnesses in Costa Rica who claim they saw him there. It also left out the video of Joe Exotic killing a horse so he could feed it to the tigers. The whole documentary was more sensationalism than actual facts.
Carole posted her own rebuttal to the series here: https://bigcatrescue.org/refuting-n.....ix-tiger-king/
Folks are allowed to disagree and have different opinions, and I’ll understand if this sours your enthusiasm for donating to future marathons. But I plan to continue supporting them and I hope most of you continue to do the same.

Upcoming Black Friday and New Years Marathons
General | Posted 6 years agoSome notes for the rest of the year.
I will be doing a twelve hour gaming marathon THIS FRIDAY, aka black Friday to help some of the crew make some moving expenses. Still deciding what I’m going to do, but like all gaming marathons there will be prizes and all sorts of fun.
Then next month will be the yearly New Years stream. Still deciding how I want to do it, but it’ll be a lot of fun.
So if you’re cowering from the masses of shoppers on Black Friday, come cower with us! And please join us for New Years as well!

More Gaming for Kitties stuff!
General | Posted 6 years agoI have updated the Donation Incentive page with the current movie list, which you can view here: http://www.little-tales.com/kitties.....ncentives.html
For every $2000 we make, Fox will have to watch a bad movie, and if we hit $10,000 Fox will have to watch Food Fight. I am going to let you guys vote on movies. And just to keep this from being all about Fox torture, for every $1,000 we make, Fox gets a pink lemonade Snapple which you can no longer get in the US. She has earned two Snapples already and has broken into my house to get them. But she can get more with your help!
I have also updated the Prizes page for Kitties, which you can check out here: http://www.little-tales.com/kitties/prizes.html
If you want to buy something from our wishlist to support us, check out our wishlist here: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/.....?ref_=wl_share
A little more than two weeks until Kitties! Here’s a quick update…
Multiplayer slots will go on sale next week! They will be $50 each for Left 4 Dead 2 and Dead by Daylight. You will be playing with Uriel and potentially Fox while I get some rest in. The multiplayer will happen Sunday afternoon/Early evening but I’m willing to try to work with you if other times work better.
I will let people purchase slots for Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes if they so desire for $100. They cost more but you’re getting one on one time.
And remember when you pay for your slots, you donate to Kitties and not me.
There will be Court Reporter pictures as always and we will have a large number of special guests coming over. Jordan Anthony Vex will be here as pit crew, as will Ledoux, HMS Eagle, Hino, PrincessFox, and Allon the Cookie Dragon!
If you haven’t perused the prize page some things of note: Allon is donating TWO POUNDS of his homemade fudge, and if you are diabetic or have other issues with sugar he will do a cookie recipe for you instead. Chaaya is donating many copies of her books, and I managed to find an older Gen paperwhite which is currently in a really nice case. Not to mention the ‘Gen Luck’ dice sets are all ready for you.
Remember, October 26-27! http://www.little-tales.com/kitties

Gaming for Kitties update!
General | Posted 6 years agoGaming for Kitties prep continues! As of now we already have over a thousand dollars in donations. You can donate here at https://www.mightycause.com/story/Kitties2019 If the site doesn't load turn off your adblocker and it should work, or else try a different browser.
We have more prizes ready to raffle including some bags made by the amazing Kari’s Kingdom Krafts which some of you might remember from Megaplex! They’re going to make some bags with Gaming for Kitties embroidery on it just for us! Also I have a Kindle Fire HD8 and a Kindle Paperwhite to raffle off.
The games being raffled off include copies of Slay the Spire, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Bendy and the Ink Machine, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus, Facerig, Do Not Feed the Monkeys, and so many more more. I’m picking games that sell on Steam for at least $20 each as much as possible and people are donating game codes to add even more to the pile.
We are also raffling off a free cameo in the next animatic we do. It won't be a speaking part but you’ll appear in it. Examples of our animatics can be seen here: https://youtu.be/SQ5dmupVpvM and here: https://youtu.be/E6MkyBHowrI Also as an added bonus, we are raffling off album collections from our amazing voice actor, Lou Kelly! You can get a taste of his music here: https://youtu.be/qzuutnv5g10 (That’s his real voice, BTW!)
Now then, let’s talk incentives!
If we can make at least $3,000 before the stream starts, I will put Mugsy in a rainbow Unicorn hat and publish pictures. (Mugsy will come to no physical harm, I assure you. His pride might get bruised though) Also for every $1000 donated, Fox gets a very VERY rare treat. Pink Lemonade Snapple was discontinued here in the US and is Fox’s favorite drink. I have procured a case of 12 snapples, and for every thousand we get, she gets one.
For every $2000 we get, Fox gets to watch a bad movie. Unless an individual donates $1000, then they can pick a movie from the list for her to watch. And if we make our $10,000 goal? Fox has to watch FoodFight, the movie rumored to have made Charlie Sheen go insane. If you would like more information on FoodFight, The Nostalgia Critic did a review of it here: https://youtu.be/VO1FdVSMZHA
There is still more to reveal! But for now that’s what you get. Please spread the word about Gaming for Kitties to your friends! Even if they don't like GameStreams, even if you don't like GameStreams, remember that all of this is to benefit Big Cat Rescue in Tampa.

Gaming for Kitties 2019!
General | Posted 6 years agoWell, Megaplex is over so now the next big focus will be on Gaming for Kitties 2019. I’ve updated the web page which you can view at http://www.little-tales.com/kitties/
People are submitting prizes already including an amazing lithograph from Lion King 2, a real Vermont Teddy Bear, and of course I have a ton of game codes to give away. If you have items you would like to put in the raffle let me know and I’ll add it to the prize list. I’m going to be adding more things as I work out deals with people including some custom embroidered items and potentially more rare artwork. Just a lot of fun stuff.
Remember the ‘how can I help’ page on the web page if you would like to provide gift cards for snacks and things. The shortcut to get there is here: http://www.little-tales.com/kitties/helpout.html
And if you just want to go ahead and donate, the link is here: https://www.mightycause.com/story/Kitties2019 If you get a blank page try disabling your adblocker. You can also donate via the widget on the help out page linked above.
We’re already really close to our first thousand, and remember your donations are tax deductible!
Gaming for Kitties happens the weekend before Halloween, which means this year it will be October 26-27, and don’t forget out mascot, Zucari! (Who thankfully has not eaten a frog again.)
More info as we get it, but you’ve officially been given plenty of warning! For you new guys, people who hate gamestreams love Kitties as I play a lot of unique things! I play story based games and things that are fun or meaningful or deep or weird. We do fun things in exchange for donations like spoil kittycats, torture Fox with bad movies, and get people to do other fun things like eat spicy things and weird Asian candy and other fun things.
And we do pictures to commemorate fun moments during the marathon. We call them court reporter pictures because of the concept of not being able to bring cameras into courtrooms so they hire artists to draw images instead. So Fox draws fun moments and YOU get to suggest ideas that might get drawn! You can check out past Court Reporter galleries here: http://www.little-tales.com/kitties.....treporter.html
So I hope to see all of you! We’re building this up and we hope to make it as fun as we can with prizes, fun events, multiplayer moments where you can join in, special guests, and artwork!
Weekend before Halloween! See you there!

Megaplex, and KITTIES!
General | Posted 6 years agoMegaplex is in less than a week now! Those of you who are going to be there, yay! Don't forget the handy little guide Fox and I made to help you! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/32447347/
Also, my horrible 1990's html skills rise again! In other words, the web page for Gaming for Kitties 2019 is live! http://www.little-tales.com/kitties/ donations are open, and I'll be adding to it as we build up more prizes and have more fun things spring up.
That is all! See some of you in a little less than a week!

Megaplex Badge Preorders, 4th July Stream, etc...
General | Posted 6 years agoI've been quiet for a bit so here are updates:
Megaplex badge preorders open THIS SATURDAY at 6PM EASTERN. Basically when the Overlord stream starts. Badges will range from $40 to $90 depending on how much detail and levels and things you want. Preorders are $5 cheaper than getting a badge from me at the con and since I'm not in the middle of a crazy stressy con they tend to look nicer. Those of you who have never seen my badges, they're pretty big. And the extras you can buy will include little bits of sparkly bling, cool metallic and patterned paper backgrounds, uber extra detail, and a full body image instead of just a bust shot like most badges are.
My apologies for taking so long. I have hit a few snags and needed to finish up some Megaplex work. For those of you who might not know, I run the dealer's den as well as act there as a dealer. But my job as den lead comes first, which means I needed to pause pre-orders until I finished the den layout and things like that. But at least I finished in time to actually be able to take preorders.
Oh yeah, and if you want to see the layout of the den, check it here: https://megaplexcon.org/node/11
Basically, to find Fox and I, just instantly turn left when you come in. As long as that room is open, we will be there.
Also! July 4th at 3PM EST we will do our yearly Independence Day Stream! I haven't decided what game to play, but we'll be going for 24 hours to celebrate the new year! I hope to see you guys there. There will be the usual fun donation incentives and other fun things. I hope to see you all there!
And guys, Gaming for Kitties will be three months after Megaplex! I'm full bore planning for it and it looks to be a lot of fun! If you make Megaplex be sure and get a wristband from me!
See you guys in a couple of months!

Streaming announcements!
General | Posted 7 years agoFirstly, I am doing an actual honest to goodness art stream today at 7PM Eastern. I promised you that if we raised 5K BEFORE Gaming for Kitties started that I would give you one art stream a month. I had one about a week ago to make up for the lack of one in January (I needed to get my rig working and had some problems setting up the webcam) and will have the one for February today! I plan to stream in a couple more weeks in March, and at LEAST once a month for the rest of the year.
Speaking of Kitties, we already have a donation page up for 2019 as someone wanted to donate while they were at BCR and I figured we might as well make it a donation that counts for this year, so I slapdashed a page together. And the same deal will go for this year. If we hit 5K before the marathon in October, the art streams will continue through 2020. Your tax deductible donation can be made here: https://www.mightycause.com/story/Kitties2019/
Another thing in March is the Overlord Anniversary! We started the tradition last year when the comic hit its fifth birthday, and we're going to try and do one every year. The show will be March 23rd, probably running from midnight to midnight eastern.
Also, if you have not booked a room for Megaplex, I suggest you do so ASAP. They're selling fast,

Reminder: New Years Stream!
General | Posted 7 years agoJust a reminder that at 6PM Eastern I will be streaming for 24 hours on the usual spot on Tigerdile. There will be hourly raffle prizes including some of the items I never got around to raffling off during Kitties and of course Court Reporter pictures too! Come join us tomorrow night for some fun! The game will be Mass Effect 2 and I will be aiming for a full playthrough! If we have time left over we'll do some other fun things too!
December Streams and NEW YEARS!
General | Posted 7 years agoDecember is (almost) here! Which means holiday things, and at the end of the month… The yearly New Years stream!
Firstly, for those who missed it, to thank us for Kitties, Big Cat Rescue has allowed us to be official sponsors for one of the cats. I took a vote, and people chose Zucari the serval by an overwhelming margin. You can read about the life he lived before coming to BCR and his rescue story here: https://bigcatrescue.org/zucari/ So from now on, Zucari is our mascot! There will be a sign displayed on his enclosure stating that he is forever sponsored by us. Congrats, guys!
Secondly, I am doing multiplayer makeup from Kitties throughout December. I’ve done a couple of sessions already and will be doing more at folks’ convenience as well as generic gamestreams on Friday for the month. I hope you enjoy.
And finally, Don't forget New Years! Every year we offer an opportunity to let people ring in the New Years by joining us for a 24+ hour gaming marathon to ring things in wherever you may be. Feel free to join us for some fun! The session will probably run from noon on New Years eve (my time) until noon on New Years day, but I might switch times around depending. And of course there will be multiplayer! I’m trying to decide which game to play as well, but we’ll see how that goes.
Also, many of the Kitties prizes that we didn't give away will be up for raffle during New Years!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Reminder! No Overlord stream this weekend!
General | Posted 7 years agoFox and I are going to see her dad get hitched this weekend so we're going to be away all weekend. Everything will resume next weekend Nov 17-18 and Fox will resume art streams as usual. I've asked a couple of people to stream in my place but you may be on your own this weekend. So we'll see you in a week!
Thank you, Over $12,000 raised!
General | Posted 7 years agoI'm tired and currently waiting for the cold medicine to kick in so I'll be brief.
Thank you everyone for making Gaming for Kitties 2018 such an amazing success. We made our $10,000 goal barely twelve hours in and then went over that. I'm too tired and ill to articulate it properly but know that I am so grateful and so sorry I didn't make it the full 48 this time. I have to grudgingly admit I am not as young as I used to be and will probably shorten next year's stream time to 36 hours instead of 48.
Thank you all for being understanding about my need to stop a bit early. I assure all of you that I am fine, I just seem to have caught a cold on Friday and it started really kicking on on Sunday morning. When you're talking for literally two days straight you assume that throat tickle is strain and not a cold. I'm being minded after and will be fine in a few days.
In the meantime, those of you who want to do Multiplayer, please tell me what are good days/times for you. I can't promise to be able to fit all of you in, but I will do my best to have a nice multiplayer stream or two to fit as many of you as I can. And I'll see about doing more Jackbox during Overlord days as well since you guys loved it so much.
I'm truly beyond words. This charity means so much to me and I honestly thought we wouldn't do as well as usual since I know a lot of you have had a rough year. The fact that you still delivered, faster than we've ever made goal before, just has me stunned and so happy.
As promised, starting in 2019 you will get at least one art stream a month. I'll try to do more than one but you will get at LEAST one. You all earned it.
Thank you. I'm going to finish catching up on sleep now.

Gaming for Kitties, Year Seven!
General | Posted 7 years agoThis is just a general notification for anyone interested...
Fox and I every year spend a weekend doing a charity gaming marathon for Big Cat Rescue in Tampa Florida. You might be familiar with videos from their YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/BigCatRescue
The event is this coming weekend October 27-28 at my TigerDile channel here: http://littletales.tigerdile.com
It runs for 48 hours and this will be our seventh event. We've made $60,000 total over six events, and would like to continue that and make $10,000 to make our total $70,000 for seven events. Your donations are tax deductible, by the way! So you can use your donation receipt to get a break on your taxes!
We're also giving away a prize every hour! We have a ton of HumbleBundle prize codes which you can transfer to Steam and a lot of other prizes as well including two Kindle Fire HD8s, art commissions, art prints, and an original by Vicky Wyman. You don't have to donate to be eligible either! (Because that would be gambling and gambling is illegal.) The only requirement is that you make sure you're present in channel when the raffle happens. We do ask for an e-mail, but nobody sees it except Gen and once the raffle is over all the winning entries are cleared. We will NOT share or sell your e-mail to anybody.
As an added bonus, Foxena will be doing Court Reporter images in the background! And you'll be able to suggest ideas for her to draw. (Please note, this is NOT a way to get free art from Fox so images not related to Kitties or suggestions of 'Draw me!' Will probably get ignored while clever ideas of fun things that happen during the event will probably have the heck drawn out of them.) You can see the gallery of last year's Images here: https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery.....rter-Year-Four
While this is happening, Fox will be forced to watch horrible movies in the background for every $2,000 earned, or if an individual donates $1,000 they can pick a movie of their choice for Fox to watch. If we make our $10,000 goal Fox will have to watch an undisclosed (to her) movie that rivals the horror of all the other movies put together.
For more information, please visit our website here: http://little-tales.com/kitties/
Hope to see you there!

Two Weeks Until Kitties!
General | Posted 7 years agoWell, things got interesting as earlier this month when I ended up having to rebuild my computer from the ground up. I purchased a new graphics card and then realized my processor was six years old, so I upgraded that, which meant a new motherboard and new RAM, and then when I was trying to upgrade to an SSD my original hard drive decided it was jealous and croaked as well.
SO! Two weeks later, I have replaced everything but the case and power supply. I upgrade for long term use so hopefully I won't be replacing anything for another few years. I did have backups so what I lost was minimal. I did have to download two terrabytes of games for Kitties and the usual gaming stuff and that was fun. But now we’re mostly back to normal.
But this means I have a hot new system for Kitties which will hopefully make things run smoother than ever. I see my crash as having a silver lining because at least it didn't happen right before Kitties where I might have had to have taken my box to a friend’s house with fiber internet so I could have everything downloaded in time.
And by the way, Gaming for Kitties is in less than two weeks, folks! We are only about halfway to the 5K goal. As a reminder, if we can hit 5K before the marathon, you will get an art stream at least once a month for all of 2019.
Folks have asked about Multiplayer so allow me to answer that! There WILL be Multiplayer! There will be Dead by Daylight and some Jackbox. If someone wants some personal time and defuse bombs with me, they can donate and get that as well. I do have L4D2 installed as well but I am REALLY rusty at it. But if folks want it bad enough and are willing to donate, then who am I to say no? Also Uriel will be in hand for games, and who knows who else. If folks have any other suggestions like Viscera Cleanup or something else, I’m willing to listen. Just remember it needs to be something we can play in an hour or so per round as I don't want to spend the whole marathon doing multiplayer.
We have had people donate a ton of prizes including game codes for Overwatch, commissions, and rare prints including one by Byron Howard drawing Robin Hood in Zootopia style. And let’s not forget that we still have two Kindle Fire HD8s to give away during the stream!
So I hope to see you all there! Those of you who don't want to click the link, I advise you simply not to make any plans on October 27-28 and try to be around that weekend when I stream. The stream starts at the stroke of Saturday and runs a full 48 hours until Monday O’clock.
If you want to know more, hit up our web page! http://little-tales.com/kitties/
Or donate directly! https://www.mightycause.com/story/Kitties2018 (If you get a blank page, disable your adblocker)

Kitties Early October Update!
General | Posted 7 years agoUnless we get $3,500 between now and tomorrow, I’m afraid the donation incentive of bringing back the art streams isn’t going to happen. But I also feel I overextended myself a bit with that sooo… I have decided to change it up. If we can hit 5K before the marathon, you’ll get at least one art stream a month for all of 2019, sound good?
Also as it has now been made public, I would like to announce one of our raffle prizes. The amazing Slipstream has offered to donate a Vicky Wyman picture he owns to the raffle. I made sure he was absolutely sure about this and he’s agreed each time. I believe the image is an original as we found pencil lines and usually hand colored prints have an edition number on them. But beyond that we know little to nothing about the image beyond it is a picture of Alicia from Xanadu and we believe there is a companion piece out there somewhere of one of the other Xanadu characters also drawn on a fan. Please forgive the rumpled state of the image as Slipstream removed it from the frame he had it in to examine it better. http://little-tales.com/kitties/aliciafan.jpg Vicky loved cats and I believe she would appreciate her artwork going towards helping them.
I have had several people also donate HumbleBundle codes for premium Steam Games like FFXV Windows Edition and a copy of Overwatch. More will come in before the month is over, I’m sure.
So please keep spreading the word. There’s more amazing surprises yet to come!
And if you’d like to see the current prize list, please check out the prizes page on the Gaming for Kitties site. All the other information you need to know like when and where and how to win things are all available there!
http://little-tales.com/kitties/
P.S. If you are having trouble accessing the MightyCause web page and are getting a blank screen, turn off your adblocker and that should fix it.

Some Special Gaming for Kitties Prizes/News!
General | Posted 7 years agoWe’re now two months away from Gaming for Kitties and the new prizes come rolling in. I’d like to announce some very special ones.
Firstly, FurryNeko has donated another gorgeous leatherwork piece. In this case, she’s donating a beautiful wallet that you can see right here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/28391488
Also, Allon the Cookie Dragon has agreed to create a custom recipe just for one lucky raffle winner! He won’t send you the concoction but he’ll create it based on your tastes and will send you (and everyone else) the instructions and photos of the finished product! To give an example, Allon recently needed to make something with no fiber for someone that had health issues, and the Meat Salad was born! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/28329205/
Allon has also offered to donate some of the holiday fudge he makes every year as gifts. You’ll get either a two pound block of it mailed to you, or two one pound blocks, and he’s willing to work with you on taste such as nuts or no nuts and things like that. Here is a picture of the amazing and delicious Allon fudge! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7663244/
Furthermore, Hino has agreed to donate some Megaplex memorabilia to us! Firstly he has a blank banner that were the signs used to direct people to locations with art by Madshy. I have a picture of it on my Twitter here (Those if you unfamiliar with how twitter works, you'll need to click the picture to see the whole thing. Longcat is long): https://twitter.com/littletales/sta.....53199180001281
But that’s not all! Did you miss out on your Megaplex highball glass? Hino is going to donate a case of them to us! Of course the catch is that this isn’t going to be raffled off individually, you’ll be getting a case of twelve glasses to do with as you see fit! I don’t have pictures of those but they’re nice highball glasses with the Megaplex logo and artwork by our own Foxenawolf!
And finally, the most important one…
I have been rehabbing my hand little by little and would like to offer something special if we make certain donation goals. Something VERY special.
If we can hit $5,000 BEFORE October, I will hold a few very special art streams for the top donors. I have my work area cleaned up finally and have rebuilt my old rig. If we can make our goal of $10,000 I will do at least TEN art streams to celebrate, probably spaced out on Fridays every week. For every thousand we make over goal, I’ll do another art stream.
You can donate here: https://www.mightycause.com/story/Kitties2018 By the way, MightyCause is basically Razoo with a new name. So if you had an account with Razzo for donating in past years, you'll still have that account with MightyCause. Also, if you use an adblocker it might make the page appear blank. Disable it and you should be golden.

And remember, you don’t have to donate to be eligible for the raffle! You just need to be at the marathon when we post the raffle links.

Gaming for Kitties is Coming!
General | Posted 7 years agoMegaplex is done and in the bag for another year, which means I am now focused on the next big event, GAMING FOR KITTIES! I know, I could have come up with a better title… Ahem.
Since folks don’t like reading giant walls of text, I’ll try and summarize it as well as I can.
WHEN WILL IT HAPPEN?: October 27-28 starting at 12:01AM October 27 and ending at 11:59PM on October 28. In other words, the whole weekend and a full 48 hours.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?: It is a 48 hour gaming marathon dedicated to helping the animals at Big Cat Rescue in Tampa. Our goal this year is $10,000 which we have made and surpassed about three years running.
PRIZES?: YES! We give away a prize every hour (except during breaks). This year the prizes are a ton of humble bundle codes, TWO Kindle Fire HD8s, and a Steam link. More prizes will come in as we get closer to the date as many people donate game systems, plush toys, and even a graphic tablet. Also, you need not donate to be eligible for a prize as that would be gambling.
IS IT JUST GAMING?: In the background we also have fun things like the court reporter pictures and fun donation incentives many people take. Our pit crew will be in channel and doing their best to make things fun and many people will be doing their own events to raise money as well.
If you need to learn anything else, please visit the Gaming for Kitties web page! You can find it here: http://little-tales.com/kitties

The Megaplex Post
General | Posted 7 years agoI posted this a year ago and am just going to repeat it again. I'm a bit hesitant as some people seemed to treat this as a checklist of ways to annoy me, but the list still stands on its own and I can just find someone else to talk to or engage if they do.
Okay folks, with Megaplex on the horizon it’s time for some basic Megaplex Do’s and Don’ts with Gen.
DO come up and talk if you want to or hang with the other Little Tales folks.
DON’T block my table for an extended period of time, or zip right back to that spot when I ask you to move to let customers in.
DO ask me about the work I do with Fox, the characters we've come up with, and other silly things.
DON'T treat me like Fox's secretary. Several people have come to me asking me to talk to her because of something they did that upset her. I'm not her mother or her boss. It's disrespectful to the both of us.
DO peruse my wares and Fox’s wares as well!
DON’T help me sell them. I have NEVER made a sale off of someone saying “Buy something!” to a stranger on my behalf. Let me work, you hang out. Beside, you’re on vacation! Enjoy yourself!
DO keep me company during the day and quiet moments and ask if I need anything.
DON’T follow me to my room, pester me for my cell number, or stalk me to see where I’m going or what I’m doing after the den closes. I’m not having room parties. I’ve had to change my number due to folks passing it around. And I can’t get the tons of homework done with people constantly hovering over me in my room and bumping me while I’m trying to hold a pen and pencil steady.
DO commission me, discuss art, and ask me about Megaplex.
DON’T try to get gossip out of me about Megaplex, the staff, or con goings on. Just because you’re friends with staff does not mean I’m going to tell confidential things to you. There’s a reason why I’ve held this position for over fifteen years, the staff trusts me and I’m not going to break that trust.
DO talk to me about writing Fox’s comic or the gamestreams. They’re fun and I love talking shop with people.
DON’T pester me about bringing back the art streams. It’s just salt in the wound over the fact that my hand is a wreck. You’re not making me feel guilty, you’re reminding me that I can’t do something I love like I used to and might as well just call me out as a cripple. I draw just fine at Megaplex because I’m on painkillers and have babied my wrist for months. But I usually need a few months to recover afterwards, especially if I want my hand to be functional for Kitties in October. (AS PEOPLE DID NOT LISTEN TO THIS LAST YEAR LET ME ADD THAT IF YOU DO THIS I WILL INSTANTLY STOP TALKING TO YOU)
DO give me space if I need it. I am dealing with a much larger room than I ever have before for Megaplex and will probably have people literally screaming in my face and trying to start crap with me. This is why my room is not a party place. It’s where I calm down and de-stress. I fake it really well but I’m an introvert. Socializing is draining. Solitude recharges me.
DON’T poke me repeatedly in an attempt to be silly when I’m in an obvious bad mood. Don’t pester me if I tell you no regarding something. I don’t want to snap at a friend.
Basically, keep in mind that not only am I there as a dealer, I'm there as a team lead and this is the biggest dealer's room Megaplex has had yet. I want it to go well and I need folks to make my job easier, not harder.
But I'm looking forward to it and I'll see you guys there!

July 4th Marathon, and MEGAPLEX PREORDERS!!
General | Posted 7 years agoTwo quick things to note!
Fox and I are doing our yearly 4th of July marathon where I play Bioshock Infinite from start to finish in one go. The marathon will start at the stroke of midnight on the 4th and end when I finish. If we make the first tier goal of $1000 I will add a second game, viewers vote, and make it a 24 hour stream. During this time Fox will work on the next Overlord Animatic featuring Cabayo and two visiting Darnathi ambassadors.
There will be SIX cameo slots for the animatic for $150 each. Fox and I usually offer animatic slots to the people on her patreon first via Discord chat. You can join and participate for as low as $1 a month here: https://www.patreon.com/islaaukate We will be offering the cameo slots THIS FRIDAY at 6PM Eastern on the Discord. Any unsold spots will be offered up the following day during the Overlord stream but they often sell out on the Discord.
(EDIT!!!) I forgot to mention that yes, there WILL be raffle prizes! Anybody who attends the stream has the chance to win if they enter the raffle and no donation is necessary to enter. Although if you DO donate, you get your name in the credits for the next animatic!
SECONDLY! Regarding Megaplex!
Badge preorders will open up THIS WEDNESDAY, June 27th! I was late because of my illness earlier this month. I will close them out two weeks later and that will be that.
Hope to see you during the streams and at Megaplex!
P.S. Still working on Kitties as well!

General | Posted 8 years agoNew Years was a lot of fun and I would like to thank everyone who made it possible. We did, at the end. hit the Time Knife goal and once we have the whole crew for it together (which may take a few weeks) we'll give you the live reading that's owed.
And now Megaplex is picking up steam. It's seven months away but the staff are moving and preparing a lot of things, myself included. So prepare for news about that to trickle in and for things to start happening. I hope to see many of you there this year!

New Years!
General | Posted 8 years agoWith 2017 coming to a close in just a few weeks I wanted to remind folks that our second annual gaming marathon is coming up. This one isn't for charity and is simply a party for folks to ring in the new year and spend New Years day with friends. Also, blatantly, it's a way for Fox and I to raise up a little extra to help us with taxes. It's all just fun though!
I'm trying to decide on a start time still, but it'll be a roughly 24 hour Marathon (Unlike Kitties which is 48) where I play games and Fox does the Court reporter sketches. And yes, you'll be able to submit ideas again! The games on the table are currently potentially Night in the Woods and Quantum Break but that's subject to change. Maybe if we make our goal we'll do a live reading of Time Knife as things were a little too crazy at Kitties to do it this year. Plus I still have some bad movies Fox hasn't seen yet...
So if you had fun at Kitties, if you have no plans for New Years, consider joining us for a day/night of fun!
See you at New Years!
