I realize that although in my personal scope I know Orlando is a big city, and I'm not a clubbing type, but if I heard about some dinky club in Belgum getting attacked I would swoop on Chakat_Blackwater like a momma hen and ask if everything was okay. So for the folks of you worried, yes I am okay and Fox is okay. We're doing sweeps of our social circles since we have friends that do go to that club and so far they are all checking in as safe.

The older I get the more things like this break my heart. I see more and more how short and precious life is, and people willing to do things like this just break me into pieces.

But I am okay, and my prayers are with the people who have been hurt by this.

There was a big Megaplex meeting tonight and it was full of lots of exciting things, most of which I cannot share with you guys, alas. I can say that there are plans for growth and expansion for the next three years at least, so Megaplex isn't going anywhere and will get better and better as time goes by.

But there is a very important thing I can share... MEGAPLEX NEEDS VOLUNTEERS!!! An hour, two, ten, twenty... they need you! Security mostly but lots of other areas as well.

I'm trying out some new hand stretches and they seem to be working out perfectly. My wrist has still down signs of weakness but with the stretches it's getting strength back. I'm going to take it easy for starters but this means art streams will hopefully resume soon.

Most importantly, I think I'm mostly over this last big illness. This makes FOUR in the past four months and it has laid me flat. Uriel got hit with them as well and we've just been playing plague pingpong for awhile. Some time around 10:30 yesterday evening I played through the last of Toonstruck and called it. I probably could have gone a little more, but an hour and a half is actually a pretty short time to play through a game and I felt we were at a good ending point.

Hey guys! I mentioned in the last journal that I was going to do a marathon for Hollie and her recent medical expenses. Since Holie is the hyena of love I thought Valentines would be a good time to have it.

This Saturday at 6PM Eastern will be another Overlord comic stream. Fox is here with me and I am taking care of her. People have been great so far and she appreciates your words of love, but this is obviously a rough time for her right now. Fox and I are solidifying our plans for the New Years stream. For the folks who don't like reading a wall of text, I'll say to just be at my Tigerdile stream in the wee hours of New Years Eve. The primary game being played will be Bioshock Infinite, and people will have ample opportunity to end up as cameos in the game. The whole thing is just something fun to say goodbye to the old year and ring in the new, as well as help Fox and I deal with some expenses that have hit the both of us. But mostly it's to have fun.

Since not everyone may have heard, allow me to explain the grand New Years bash I have planned.

When I posted my poll and asked people what they wanted to see me play for New Years, I got several requests for Bioshock Infinite. I like playing it. I have a lot of fun playing it. But I also wanted to do something to make it a special experience for the people watching if I do play it again.

So for starters, Fox has a few Court Reporter sketches from Kitties that she owes but couldn't think of anything new to draw for them, so we are rolling them over to Bioshock. How? Well, many of you have seen the fanart I have drawn of Gen as Booker and Fox as Elizabeth. So, if you are so inclined to donate towards it we will award you character slots in the cast as Fox draws them. Keep in mind that most of the characters die so if this bothers you be careful who you have an inclination to be drawn as. We promise to try and keep it lighthearted and goofy though.

As this is a New Years bash, I have decided to start around the time the first New Years on the planet starts, and stop after the last New Years on the planet is over. I've decided to take the rest of August off. After a bout of food poisoning and the new tablet breaking so soon after buying it I think I'm done for a little bit. I'll be focusing on offline projects, until September but I don't want to subject you guys to my 'GEN KILL' mood.

The new Yiynova arrived, but there's a power management issue with the USB 3.0 connection and the USB cable itself somehow got damaged. I'm going through a RMA and will get it repaired/replaced, but the whole thing has given me the snarlies. (Also, it's getting seen to. I don't need tech support.)

There are a few things not on the meme that I want to make people clear on as well.

I am the person who runs the Megaplex Dealer's Den. If you have questions about dealing, please come to me. If you have an issue regarding the dealer's room, I'll do everything I can to make it right as long as your request is within reason. Along those lines though, I try not to exempt myself from the rules and expect people to adhere to them around me. Being my friend does not make you exempt from the rules and policies of the Dealer's Den. I'm the head of that room first and foremost.

As for personal stuff, I don't have a big long nitpicky code of conduct for how to behave around me, but I go have a few little things I'd like people to keep in mind.

Please remember that the convention is work for me. I do not have time for long-term socializing and I am going to have to break off conversation to talk to customers who will be walking by. If you are going to talk for an extended amount of time please don't stand in front of my table and block traffic. I will try to spare some time after the den closes to talk, but I need to go back to my room and work on commissions so I can't linger too late.

The only other thing I ask is that if you want to get my attention, please do not do so by coming up behind me and startling me. I don't react well to it and it leaves me a nervous wreck for the remainder of the day. I'll also probably never speak to you again if I find out you purposely did it to make me jump, so just don't. It isn't funny.

I had a bad reaction to some medication a few years ago and it affected my skin, causing it to scar easily. So my arms have a lot of scars on them. I'm aware of this so you don't have to point it out to me. It's also not because of any horrible accident or abuse, so don't fuss too much.

Uriel will be mingling around the convention as well, but he is not my secretary and can not tell you what my plans are so please do not treat him like he's my assistant. Please do not treat Fox like she is my assistant either. Nor should you treat me as if I am hers. (This has become an issue as of late.)

I'm not going to tell you where my room is, and there will be no parties there and very little socializing. I am not looking for roommates either. I usually have a pile of homework commissions to take to the room and having people there just delays it. So when the den closes, I go to my room, work until I'm done, and then get what few hours of sleep I can manage.

Despite all the negative sounding remarks, I promise you that I'm not a monster and as long as you're not purposely trying to be rude and disruptive, you won't have any problem with me.

And then this week will be my last week for streaming until after Megaplex whilst I work on preorders and such.
