Those of you who don't know yet, I'll be at Further Confusion this month and will be away for a week. I will have my laptop with me and can check messages and things, but I will not be able to stream while at the convention. I also have a ton of prepwork that needs doing, so I have decided to cancel streams for next week.

I caught a minor cold during Christmas and I'm still getting used to the new meds from my doctor, so I've not been as productive as I'd have liked, but I am recovering and getting a bit better. But it has caused some delays.

Livestreams will resume January 25th with a dual stream with Foxena. I will also be dual streaming with her January 4th.

This is not to say there will be NO streams, but if I want to have any product ready for the convention I need to start packing and framing and finishing things now. I am also trying to get some things ready for the art show and things like that. So I might so some short streams or one or two that are focused on getting a good backlog up for Little Tales to run uniterrupted while I'm away.

When I return I'm going to need a day or so to get past the travel slump and jet lag and all that, but once I'm settled streams and such will resume.

I apologize to the people that I scared Friday night with my dizzy spell. Still recovering, although I am doing much better. The main problem seems to be that all of those button tapping QTEs in Beyond hurt my arm and I'm nursing pain in my thumb, wrist, and upper arm. I seem to have an issue like this once every year and a half or so, where my computer breaks and requires new pieces. But the important thing is that we're back!

Typing this from the tablet, which should give a hint on my situation. I hit another snag (which I will not go into the details of as I would really rather not deal with another inundation of 'helpful' advice). My data is still safe (hopefully) and once I'm past this particular snag I should be better off than I was before.

But I am also down for the moment, which means I have limited access to my accounts and so I will be difficult to contact until things are back to normal.

Working on things now. I'm hoping to be back in business by tomorrow's stream.

Growl grumble computers......

I am having to rebuild my desktop, but I kept all of the important data. Some system files got corrupted and I needed to do a clean reinstall of the OS.

I should be back on my feet soon, but I am now having to do through the long and tedious process of reinstalling everything. As I worry that the corruption might be caused by a failing hard drive, I am planning on dropping everything into a new drive as soon as I can. Fixing things is easy, but time consuming.

I am cancelling Wednesday's Livestream as I am probably going to be spending a large chunk of that day getting my machine back into shape and doubt I'll have the energy to stream once it's all over.

On the good side, reinstalling iTunes has resulted in me discovering a lot more music on my drives, so Playlist is now about three times bigger than it used to be. (Seriously... we've gone from 2000 songs to 7000.) ALL HAIL SKYNET!

When I started my computer this morning I started getting a ton of errors and some of my hardware stopped working, short version, something broke.

I am in the process of rebuilding my desktop and get back on my digital feet, as it were, but the process is long and tedious. Consequently the planned stream for tonight is postponed and Wednesday's might get cancelled.

I'll try and keep you updated.

First order of business, for all of October I will be taking “Kill you off” commissions. In a nutshell, I will come up with a way to cleverly murder you. It should be noted that this is ALL IN GOOD FUN and I will okay everything with you first before I actually draw it. The 'murders' will not be mean spirited, but will be silly and cartoony and something meant for the person commissioning the image to joke about.

Some of you I know well enough to come up with a few ideas, but others I do not and I may consult with you a little first. Unless I'm explicitly asked to surprise you, I will always okay my idea with you first. Again, this is meant to be fun.

Next comes the matter of kitties. A very important matter indeed...

Tentatively, the Gaming For Kitties marathon will happen October 26-27. Instead of giving out raffle prizes like last year we will be giving everyone who donates a copy of Dusty and Uriel's album that they have been working on for the past year and change. It will be delivered digitally, although if you desperately need a copy burned onto a CD we can make arrangements. (We would prefer digital though) Dusty delivered the final trick for my perusal yesterday and it is amazing.

The marathon will be Halloween themed, which means I will be playing horror games. If we make goal within the first six hours of the marathon, I will add Amnesia, A Machine for Pigs to the mix. The top donators will get to join in on a six hour vs. match in Left 4 Dead 2. These will be in two hour gameplay chunks for groups of six, so we can work in eighteen people. I'll be on one team and Uriel will be on the other (although if Uriel has to bow out, I will to to bring in Katya or someone equally awesome.) This is the ONLY multiplayer I am doing during the marathon, so if you want in on it, there is your chance.

I am currently scheduling games. I am going to start with Dear Esther and work up from there. Among others I'm considering is another go at Heavy Rain, Dead Space 2 (I've played the heck out of Three already), S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Metro: Last Light, Arkham Origins, and if my capture device behaves I'll try to stream Beyond: Two Souls as well. This is not a definitive list and is subject to change. Although I'm going to listen to the people who donate more than the people who don't, so if you really have a game in mind then vote by helping the kitties.

Last year we raised $2300 for the kitties with a goal of $1000, this year I am raising the goal to $1500, and just like last year, every $100 we go over I will play for an extra hour.

All the proceeds go to Big Cat Rescue, an organization in Tampa that rescues large cats from harmful environments (some have been pulled from circuses and the basement of drug lords, some still bear the marks of being kept in cages that were too small). BCR is dedicated to educating people on the dangers of keeping lions and tigers like housecats, how inappropriate breeding creates cats with health problems that leaves them miserable and in pain their whole lives, and their ultimate goal is not to be needed anymore because laws will finally be in effect to stop things like that.

Computer problems, internet problems, and some minor health problems have made me decide to just take the week off. So there will be no stream Wednesday, Friday, and no dual stream on Saturday. Normal streams will resume on Monday. Since FA is going to be down for a day or so, I figured I'd get notification for this up now.

I might do some gaming in the evenings but we'll see how it goes.

I am NOT Dual-streaming on Saturday. I have been invited to enjoy the company of friends for my birthday and plan to do just that. (My birthday was last Tuesday, but weekends are more convenient than Tuesdays)

BUT... there will be a dual stream on Sunday at 8PM EST! The lovely and vivacious (and very manly Chihuahua)  vincinicolaides and I shall be streaming together at the usual place at the usual time. I don't know exactly what we're going to do just yet, but it shall be awesome!

Also I presented the idea of potentially doing educational streams for tips sometime in the future. These will be open to everyone, and basically I'll just have a sketchbook and doodle and share resources, advice, and whatever tips I can offer. Please note that my artistic education consists mostly of studying people and very little schooling, so I may have some trouble getting some of my concepts across, but I'll try my best! I don't know when I'll do these just yet, but if you're interested, let me know!
