Yo guys,

I’m at a point in my life where my relationships, social life and work life are fulfilling my time almost completely. Being in my 30s, I no longer have the spare time I used to have. Being in lockdown was an anomaly that allowed me to make lots of drawings, but now that my life is pretty much back to normal, taking time to make the art I’ve been making for many years now is even more rarely an option. Lately, I’ve struggled to find the drive to complete pieces to the same standard as I used to- I don’t think many people truly understand just how many hours/days it takes to make some of them! There’s also been a rise in challenges to posting online, between shitty website takeovers and an increasingly toxic culture of online abuse that’s getting incredibly out of hand. I have other more important things I need to focus on, so I’ve made the decision to wind down and end my contributions to the community I’ve been sharing my pieces with for so long.

I’ve been posting since I was 18, with hundreds of pieces posted online since I started as well as tons of sketches that went nowhere and have been gathering figurative dust in my PC for years. I’m not saying I definitely won’t post ever again, but it’s best to assume otherwise. I’ll try to finish off work I had gotten close to finishing and post those, possibly even uploading all the sketches that never got completed if that’s what people want, and call it a day. I’ll also try to upload the many pieces I put on twitter onto my FA page as I’ve unintentionally neglected that. I don’t plan to delete my FA account or restrict access to my google drive (check my pinned tweet on twitter), but if you really like something there it might be good to save a copy in the chance it gets removed. I haven’t got a deadline for these final uploads, but I’m thinking within the next couple of months.

I was never talkative much, but I’ve always appreciated the kind and encouraging comments and DMs I’ve received. I even made a couple of online friends, which was nice. I’m happy to have made a contribution to a pretty niche part of the web. I think back to some of the contributors online that I discovered early on, some even still going, and I wonder if I made an impact on anyone. Judging by some comments I’ve had, I know at least some have really enjoyed my stuff. It’s nice knowing other people are into what you are too, even if it does feel like a weird thing to like. Making this art has helped me better understand myself too, and know what I really enjoy and how to express that. It was almost therapeutic.

I’ll still be here, watching from the side and enjoying what other people make. I look forward to seeing what new pieces and artists come about in the future.

Over the last few weeks, I've had mixed feelings about this account. My time is so stretched that I have next to no time to work on projects for FA, and that makes me feel pretty crappy for my watchers. I look back at my "teasers" and wonder if they ever will find themselves finished. I was wanting your opinion on something- there are LOTS of projects that I know will almost certainly never be finished, most likely because I started them literally years ago and my art style has changed, or simply because any time I have will be dedicated to the sketches I think have the most potential. Should I post these hopeless projects into my scraps folder? I hate the idea of giving up but I have to be realistic here.

Sorry I don't have good news. I hope everyone else is doing okay.

Hey all

Been a few pretty busy months for me, which is why I've been quiet lately. There isn't much I can do about this and I'm trying to keep my social life alive too, so it's hard to juggle these things at the same time. I should get some time to myself soon though so I'll be sure to work on some new stuff. I've been using artrage for over 6 years and I still occasionally find myself using the wrong layer! Still learning I guess hahaha.

I've been working on a piece that I thought of and started on it right away. I think it might be one of my best pieces yet (without sounding too egotistical) I might have it finished by tomorrow. I won't put up a teaser but I hope you guys like Morenatsu

Been super busy as usual but I'm trying my best to find time here and there to get some progress in my pics. Almost finished another Soccer Stinks pic, and I've been working hard on a pic involving a character from the Dillon's Rolling Western series who recently caught my eye. Anyone who knows the main characters can probably correctly guess who it is

Hope you've been enjoying the Soccer Stinks series. I know it's suffered from my short term absences but it's getting there. Anyone who's been keeping count will notice that, assuming Number 17 (Scuff) is the last member of the team, then there are 5 slots left for team members. I currently have 3 sketches ready to be completed, but I was wanting to know what other species you'd like to see for the remaining slots. Feel free to make suggestions, but please understand I make no promises to draw that species. I might even go beyond 17 if there are enough suggestions that really interest me!

Been a bit quiet lately as I was spending a few weeks abroad. Doodled some ideas while I was away though! Working on the one I liked the most right now, and it continues with the thug I've been drawing lately. Hope to have it finished soon

I do put a lot of effort in my submissions, so it sometimes comes across a bit dismissive when I submit something and right away I have these sort of comments. You know, I come up with lots of fairly generic scenarios, so when I come across other people with similar scenarios then of course it doesn't bother me. Heck, I get annoyed when I see other people complaining about others copying their "original" idea, when in fact that idea is pretty generic also. That's all fair, we all get inspiration from others.

But when you copy someone else's art, that's complete laziness. I've come across a fair few pieces of art that are blatant copies of mine, same pose and everything. I don't take that as a compliment, it's an insult. There isn't even an attempt to hide the fact you've blatantly taken something that I've worked on and just drawn lines over it and altered it slightly, before posting it as your own.

And then when it's combined with the scenario also? It's the epitome of laziness. It's cheap also. I'm not gonna name names, but it pisses me off. So if you read this and you do this, do the right thing and make your own work. Take inspiration, that's fine! But don't rip off others. Hell, at the very least mention the artist your work is borderline plagiarising, fs.

Have a small update regarding stories- I'm gonna be honest, the stories have been getting at me for quite a while now. I'm not happy with some of them, and I feel like I reuse a lot of ideas and descriptions. The staleness isn't the only thing- they take ages to write up, and quite frankly I don't think the reward is worth the effort half the time. I have had Beer Pong complete for weeks now but the story is what's holding me back from posting it. And that's not the only piece that's had that problem before.

So I'm taking the decision to not write a story for every drawing I make. I know many of you enjoy them and I really appreciate the comments I've had for them, but I need to make better use of my time. So please don't be upset if I post a picture in the future without a story. I believe a good picture should give the viewer a good idea of what the story could be anyway.

Loving having my new tablet but time is very scarce for me as I'm sure you've guessed. Right now I'm hoping to get back onto the Soccer Stinks series while also starting a new one about dirty wrestlers. I also plan to complete some of the teasers I posted before. And lately, I became inspired to make something based on Bashmaster and Lord Frederick from DK Country Tropical Freeze. I think I'm going to start uploading a number of sketches into my scraps folder. I really don't know if I plan to finish them some day or if they're genuinely scrapped, so I won't comment on them unless I'm certain. So my tablet finally arrived! I'm now able to start posting properly again, which I'm really happy about! I'm still very busy with my job, but expect posting to resume again soon. I even started a new piece today which I think will go down very well. It involves everyone's favourite villain king

Hey guys,

I'm currently looking at new tablets to buy, hopefully in the next week or two. Can anyone comment on how good the Wacom Intuos Pen & Touch is? It sounds like it would suit me fine, so I'm looking to get that one, so long as no one has had terrible experience with it.

Some people I've watched online, from just a little while to what must be years now, are beyond frustrating. I get that everyone has problems and hey, do what you have to do to sort it out. But being pompous or acting a total jerk doesn't get excused by stuff like that. Given up on one certain individual for the last time today, doubt he'll be the only one. I don't enjoy seeing or hearing jerks.

Oh, and if I ever become pompous, or arrogant, or tell people who have been loyal for so damn long not to post on my wall, then please by all means give me the stick I deserve. I hope to never become such a miserable, ungrateful jerk.

(Rare little rant over. I promise not to make this a running thing.)

In all honesty, I think I'm looking to be able to get a new tablet by September. I'm sure I can keep up with other teasers and even some stories, so please bear with me!

Hey funk fans!

Since I'm still in the predicament of not being able to draw on my tablet, I'm resorting to colouring in stuff I have already finished so I can still provide something for you loyal lot! I'm looking at the Soccer Stinks series... Any favourites you'd like me to colour first? Also, since I created a template for Seat Trap when I first made it, I can make other animals gas that little guy other than the bear and tiger! I'm doing a skunk right now, any others you'd like? The tail's my biggest problem but I can work around it I'm sure

Can't promise to do all suggestions but I appreciate any given and I'll try!

And one more thing- thank you all once more for still sticking with me. Seeing how long it's been since I last regularly posted really grinds on me, but until I get a job to pay for a new tablet, my options are very limited I SOMEHOW managed to pass the 400 watchers mark, which is AMAZING! I'm afraid there's still no update on the graphics tablet. Really sorry about that While I wait to see what's going to happen with that, I'll write some stories for now in the meantime. I passed my exams and graduated (woop!) and I've been on holiday so I've had that going on. Waiting on a verdict on my tablet pen still.

I've been storing pictures I come across on the interwebs that give me ideas or inspiration for future works, so I've not been doing completely nothing so far. If it takes longer for feedback on my pen I might have to just post more teasers in my scraps folder.

Wow, I'm really sorry for this huge gap of no activity, and even worse for how long it's taken me to address it. Apologies!

I got super busy in November, and when I finally reached time off during the festive period, I found that my graphics tablet had stopped working After some correspondance with technical support, I've been told I need to send my tablet pen back to the company for repair, as the problem seems to come from that. Unfortunately, it's returned to the point where I'm even busier than before, so I haven't had much time to send it off I have my finals coming up and they're very important, so I can't afford to spend much time away from studying at the moment. I WILL send it off as soon as I can, and, assuming the technical team fix my pen, I can get back to providing more pics!

Again, I'm so sorry I've left it so long to tell you guys this, but I'm up to my neck in so much stuff I hope you understand, there's really not much I can do right now, which sucks extra Thanks for everyone for still watching me, and surprisingly to the people who've started following me in my absence! It means a lot Hopefully my gallery will keep you satisfied for now, and I hope more that I get back to putting more stuff up, although that can't be any earlier than mid-May.

I've been away on holiday for a couple of weeks, thus the absence of uploads. No worries though, I've been working on stuff since I got back, including the last few entries for the Soccer Stinks series, a couple of wrestling pics, a bowser pic, and a revisit to a couple of old faces, amongst others. I realise this is pretty tedious on your end, so I'm going to try adding some teasers in the meantime to keep you guys at least partially satisfied.

Just a quick update for the month to let yous know that I'm going to do another mini-series of pics (that SHOULD all be done in a consecutive row this time) entitled Soccer Stinks, with the first of which I plan on posting very soon. The other mini-series (Smells around the World) is still in progress, so don't worry and think I've abandoned it. This mini-series will have MUCH shorter stories in comparison, and will generally be black and white (otherwise I'll be here forever like the other one). So stay tuned
