I'll get around to the lottery picture after those two. It was a nice break really, I didn't even sign on to watch my favorite train wreck during the downtime.

Since it's close enough I figure I might as well post details. First person to screenshot 2000, or the closest to 2000 if over and upload it to Photobucket or the like should then link it to me. The one to do this gets the picture obviously. Preferably a single character picture, if it's simplistic enough or if I like the idea enough I may do more. The picture will be colored and may or may not support a background. (Depends on how busy my nights at work are).

Resident Evil 5 is probably one of the worst games I've played. The plot is incoherent even for a resident evil game, there's entirely too many instant death moments and the controls are incredibly clunky. It is fun to MST3k though. Some of you should join in on a skype call as I run through the game with a friend. I usually end up reduced to incoherent babbling at how bad.. well a lot of things are.

Here's hoping Mercenaries mode makes up for an otherwise terrible game.

On that note though, it's nice to see that Jill still has the personality of a blowup doll to match the new blonde look. I don't know how Topher fit those watermelons in his sleeves though.

Finally. I'm writing a comic. Some of you have seen concept sketches of characters I'm working on and I think one of you has even seen part of a script. Right now I'm stuck on if I should swing for a human based comic, furry, mixed or if I should just draw the same characters in the same poses a few hundred times.

Shameless plug aside, if anyone wants a cameo appearance and in turn a free concept sketch out of the deal it's just a matter of actually reading and replying to the journal. Simple yeah? I'm not setting a hard cap on the number. But I will be picking and choosing concepts. I'll most likely do them in groups of two or three.

Well it's the Kiriban thing, but since I think the real definition of Kiriban is silly from an artistic stand point I'm making a stand and calling it a Lottery. (Or I could be writing this at work, bored out of my skull on a Holiday night I could have spent out with friends. Either way)

This month will be an interesting one since most of my office has taken some sort of holiday leave. This means a lot of downtime where I'm drawing without distractions outside of maybe Soul Eater part 4 come the tail end of July. I've just finished up my first year as an Electrical Apprentice and will be moving into motor controls, hydraulics and other things so that I can aim specifically for maintenance electrical work. At the end of the year I'll be picking up some language classes too under a Pell Grant.

So I can't seem to get my screen to actually show when I try to stream. Until I get it solved, no games or art streamed. Oh well.

So. I recently re-downloaded Terror from the Deep because I beat X-Com and I've decided to try and play it through. For those of you that don't know, tftd is amazingly difficult, riddled with game crippling bugs and a tech tree that's about as fucked up as the average Salt Lake City street layout. (Why do I have to research a Deep One corpse for Aqua Plastic armor again?)

What this means for the rest of you will be the fact that I'll stream the missions live and I'll be offering slots in the Squad so you can watch your chosen avatar be horribly killed by a giant lobster. I'll also probably end up doing some art and other things related.

So. If you'd like in on the first mission as a Squaddie... erh Diver, I'll do my best not to kill everyone off.

I'll probably only be playing on a medium difficulty and if I can get it working, I /will/ be using X-Com util to make it more of a re-skinned Enemy Unknown to make things tolerable.

As such. For those interested, leave your name and desired position in the Squad. The way I tend to run it, I have Pointmen (High TUs and Reaction Fire) Recon (High TUs) Snipers (High Accuracy) Medic (High TUs/Bravery) Heavy Weapons Guy (High Strength/Accuracy/TUs) Grenadier (High Strength/Throwing Accuracy) Patsy/Redshirt etc. And eventually the Psychic/M.C. Blackhole. (A psychic defense so low that the enemy cannot target anyone else. He will be armed with a dart gun, medpack and motion sensor)

Well I'm officially out of new things to read at the moment and I don't get paid until Wednesday, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't mind some suggestions on new series. I'd list what I've read, but... that would take a while. For simplicity though, I've already read Martin's Songs of Ice and Fire and Jordan's Wheel of Time (Or at least enough to get bored).

So, instead of streaming a game like I prefer to do since it makes me paranoid to be watched while drawing, I was thinking maybe I'd stream just a quick sketch or something. Maybe I'll start on the commission or something.

So I watched When They Cry the other night, all of season one. I've got a pretty high tolerance for dark shows. I laugh when Dexter sticks a knife in someone, I make active bets on who will die in movies and the various things. This show was honestly the closest I've come to unnerved in a very long time. Between how each story arc opens then quickly turns a 180 and beats someone to death with a bat/hatchet/torture/taser... yeah. Violence aside it's very much like Groundhog Day, though with a wider effect and more of a mystery as to why it's all happening. Aside from maybe an episode or two, I immensely enjoyed this show though and would be happy to rate it up as high as Last Exile, Haibane Renmei and the like of shows that I will probably be going back to watch more than once.

So I figured I'd stream my continued failure of Commandos 2 on Monday. I always seem to forget what buttons do what and it takes me a while to do the missions. That said, I'll probably end up foul mouthed and yelling at my fictional 'seductress' for being worthless and that's usually funny for others.

That is, if I can get the stream to cooperate this time anyway. And at least it won't be like the La-Mulana stream. (IE Where the hell are my weights?)

And as for the previous journal. Well. I have one explanation and that's that I hate cold medicine for a good reason and that's just how incoherent I get. I thought the post was funny at the time. So I guess it's like being high and finding toast funny. I'll leave it up because I still find it funny, but for a different reason.

So. The more work I do for my electrician's class the more I realize that the NEC makes sense, but it's still a pain in the ass. And it's incredibly vague and can be really confusing when you find out that the local state government doesn't necessarily follow all of the rules for varying reasons. This is after following up lessons on various electrical generators (one and three phase generators) and a few other lessons. And no. I still haven't found a scientific reason for the magic internet for the two or three of you that would ask.

Blueprints are fun though. I've been having fun doing the electrical layout for this house, poorly designed as it is. I was thinking of taking pictures when I finished and posting them heh. Either way though, I'll be looking for an apprenticeship proper and then I'll be well on my way to shutting power down on the poor overworked masses. Or more likely I'll train under the Union Pacific Railroad or a maintenance shop out here.


Anyway. Rambling aside about what I do in class, I figured I'd see if anyone wants to do a trade here in a little bit. Commissions would be nice too.

So we'll start things off with the fact that I'll be getting my ass into gear on doing the two commissions and probably touching up a third. That is assuming that I can come up with a concept that doesn't feel like just a lazy rehash.. Meh.

Well most of the time I offer, it's the same people (Who I appreciate and I've been chatting with already) or the people ask for it, then sort of disappear. But, I feel burned out and I want to try things out. So here's the idea. I'll do a fursona as a human or a good concept if it's something I haven't done too often or at all. There are some limitations to what I'll accept though, mostly just stuff too horrifying for me to want to try really. And that's just rare.

I'll be going to the Air Force museum here tomorrow and taking a lot of pictures of the aircraft. I intend to get a few good ones of each, especially the nose art that's still identifiable. Just a warning.

So last night I had my usual bout of not sleeping proper hours. Combine this with an almost surreal night of weird or angry customers and it was actually kind of fun. The original Call of Duty and Apocalypse Now definitely helped though. I noticed something last night though. I hate people, a lot. Or at least the people who argue with an alarm tech because they won't give us a password, but don't want the police banging their door in. I just wish I could tell the PD to smash a window or two. Also. Call of Duty: MW2 sucks. More than I realized. The original CoD had me excited and constantly on the lookout and working and.. basically everything that I more or less waltzed through on Hard with MW2. CoD2's the same way. So what the hell happened? Did they just get lazy?

Who's getting Bad Company 2 on Monday or erh.. Tuesday morning anyway. Any X-Box players out there? I want to blow people up.
