Alright and as usual, here's the main bit of the journal. And the only real question this time around is, what the hell is with all of the nazi furs? And on that note, why is it always nazi furs? I think I've seen one picture of anthro 101st. Why isn't there some Commando furs out there? Rangers? Hell get even more into it and look at stuff the OSS and OSA did.

Whatever, I was already thinking of doing a few WW2 soldiers of the allies anyway seeing as how I love the American uniform and I think a well drawn British officer would be a good sight as well. As for the Russians, I thought a tanker would be a good idea. So if anyone has a specific unit they'd like to see, or some obscure details let me know.

Today's topic? I don't know. I just thought I would post two songs I was listening too. Figured I'd throw in a few jabs at some of the hilarity ensuing on FA and I'm not entirely talking about the 'infamous' incident from yesterday either. Just a few journals all proclaiming 'doooooom'. And well, too much artwork of girly boys, those are funny journals too. It's extended into real life too. My local gaming store is rapidly hemorrhaging customers because the owner can't stop lying, cheating and in general being a miserable person who backstabs friends repeatedly. (I mean by sabotaging their games, not the literal backstab, that's my job...)

I do admit I took pride in roflstomping his Tyranids into giblets with a mixed force of Valkyries and Hellhounds. Turns out when the owner only takes one Carnifex and doesn't give it shooty weapons, his 'threat' level to mobile guard is pretty much nill. Or it could be his heavy reliance on basic gaunts with the endless swarm rule. (Shooting gallery hoooo). What this really culminates into is just a basic request. Let's get some funny stories out.

It seems when he gets mentioned people either suddenly have to chime in that he's a hack/overrated/whatever or that he's 'teh bestest evars1'.

As for the Journal itself, I thought the title was pretty self explanatory. I'd like to know what most of you want to see more of. Or even something new. I've tried this a few times but I usually don't get more than one response and I'm well aware of what that person wants (heh).

Also, while I'm typing things I figured I'd go ahead and put a short little thing up saying to go watch Last Exile and Gunslinger Girl. Both are actually pretty cheap to pick up for the whole series/season 1 respectively. Both are very well executed animes with fairly differing themes. So, I want to know what you lot would like to see more often. I can start taking pictures of my armies for Warhammer, I did go through a lot of effort for most of them. Same with my random character models. I only post up what I have handy and that Sorcerer actually came from last year. Found it hiding in one of my private folders.

Aside from models, would some of you like to see some specific type of art? More sci-fi, fantasy, random shit, anime shit or anything along those lines? Any themes? Combat, duels, more dead imposters? Erh.. wait I didn't post those yet. I can say I am working on a Sergal character, largely just because I want to and I like the lanky design which fits my own style easy.

Well I got my estimate back on the repairs to my computer, combined with the cost of my car I actually would greatly appreciate help. I'm looking at a minimum of 320 Dollars for the computer, it would be more but my local Computer guy kicks all kinds of ass for recurring customers. My car's alternator is going and will cost me just under 200 dollars at my best estimates. Obviously the car gets first dibs on my paycheck, but if I could scrounge up any kind of commission it would help with both considering I'm a part timer with full time classes..

As such, 5 dollars for sketches, then just go up from there in increments to make things easy. PM if interested, I'll hammer out both details and the final price there.

As for the post title. I just thought it would be funny, it's a phrase I've been saying a lot lately after clicking on some artists. Happens something like this: "Oh this looks nice, wonder if the rest of the ar... fuck. Really?" Could be worse I guess. Hm, should probably do a greeting to the new watchers. Trade offers are up since I haven't heard from two of the people from before, so I'll work on it later. The rules are pretty simple, I'll do close to anything with a few limits. Absolutely will not draw certain pornographic acts. Not particularly a fan of drawing porn in general, but, well I'll still do it on commission or in a trade just because either way I'm actually getting something in return for the work. Second, no established cartoon characters. I don't feel like drawing Scooby Doo or a reskinned version of him, or anything else along those lines. I can't get myself even motivated to draw those and that makes it really bad since I have a bad attention

And... the surreal feeling is back, though not as strong as it has been in the past weeks. I think a mixture of catching up on my sleep and realizing that the root cause of this outbreak isn't... really that big. It's just a little staggering personally is all. Just as a heads up for people that take offers up on freebies or trades, I generally don't do fan art for established cartoon characters. This includes taking a cartoon character and 'reskinning' them, giving them new clothes and a slightly modified marking pattern. I just can't get inspired to even try, it's no fun.

CC2's servers have apparently died, someone has decided that FA's servers are still too full of mic spammers, assclowns and the like and opened their own server named Le Vanilla. (I find my own experiences in FA's servers to be a mixed bag, some good players, some good games. A lot of mic spam and retardation and the sort who have delusions of grandeur) It's got a good number of CC2's regulars. Also, there's a Steam group for it and apparently a CC2's Refugee camp group.

Finally, I find watching a friend shock himself twice in a day in the classroom hilarious. This still isn't as funny as the magic internet though.

Or can even DL the demos. If so, would any of you be interested in .oci event files being posted? Not just from myself, but from others as well preferably. Would be kind of like streaming, except you can then restart it if you're curious how things are done, or if it's like when I'm watching a movie and catch something particularly off heh.

On an art related note, that isn't just a ganked way to stream (wee), I'll have at least one new image tomorrow afternoon involving a ref sheet for the phynx character. Yes he still needs a name, no despite what at least one of you thinks I won't be keeping the working title of ghost on him lol.

I've just noticed the past... month or so a number of things that make my already tenuous grasp on reality a bit more surreal feeling. I mean it started with the co-worker trying to get me in trouble with the boss-man, then turning around and acting nice and innocent later. Then I moved on to the insane amount of road construction that happens 24 hours a day. (It's great going to work at midnight and having to take a detour). Combine this with a month without a proper break between school and work and you start to feel kind of funny.

Then you mix in a splash of filling in even more days in, (I need to pack for my vacation.. um, I've been out of work for 3 days, but I need this 4th day (4th of July conveniently) so that I can finish packing Of course I can't make it in at midnight, 16 hours later...) Or when he calls back the week he gets back and needs a day off so that he can unpack and get settled. From his two week vacation.

And finally, you add in a good splash of Delusions of Grandeur from more than one source. (It's even more fun being accused of various things by these folk). I mean, really. My favorite lately has been watching a few people say they don't pay attention to their watch counters, but they always seem to have updates on their next big set of 0's. Or the folk who complain about overcharging for art and... then charge an arm and a leg for shit you'd normally be able to buy off of a different artist for a quarter of the price. Starting to get to the point I need to clean my watch list out again because of how often it pops up.

And for the final kicker, the various people in games. I'm competitive and I talk shit a lot. I think it's funny and most people that know me do as well. Some get offended, but if they can't take a joke, fuck'em. The group I'm talking about are the sort that regularly team stack, then claim how amazing they are and the like. Or the sort that suck it bad enough that most of the opposing team is too busy laughing to shoot them, but claim how amazing they are. These sort are also usually hypocrits and switch to the winning side while yelling at others that beat them to it.

You know, this was a fun rant. All that aside. I just found out that I can't recover anything off of the old HD, so if I sent some of you artwork that needed to be finished, send it back and I'll get to work on it again. Also, human versions of fursona offer is still up.

I'll be picking up either CG Illust's new version or DLing OC 4.5 before they can their english version on Monday. I tried working on SAI the other night and while I do like some of the line work it offers since it seems to incorporate auto-correction to a degree, the rest of it is just clunky feeling. If someone has a fix to that, I'd gladly give it a second try before tossing 80 dollars at OC.

I'm still people watching and lately it's just been joke after joke. I'm almost beginning to wonder if the surreal feeling really is just from the way my schedule is set up or the number of stupid things that crop up.

For the time being I have a working copy of my old version of CG Illust, it's a little buggy because Vista hates everything, but I can at least get back to work after my trial version runs out and if I can't afford CG illust and I need to color something. Not that it matters because lately I just don't have a huge urge to draw furry things. I've been really wanting to go back to drawing a few anime concepts that popped up in my mind, especially with the campaign I'll be running here starting tomorrow. So, for a little while at least, I'll probably be throwing humans up (Oh noes!). Or at the very least the animal featured humans.

With that in mind, if someone wants a human version of their fursona done up, I think that would be an interesting project to try. Whether I actually like the results... is another matter.

I'm playing WoW again. Got tired of a friend constantly begging me to play so he has something to do until he finds a new machining job. I don't know the server yet, but when I do I'll post it. Then you can watch as I fumble over classes I don't know (I'm a rogue at heart).

I'm still playing back and forth with OC 4.5 and SAI, but so far there's no clear winner. Bad UI and floaty feeling is holding it's ground only due to some of the extra options available that would admittedly make things easier. In particular when dealing with things like inking. But, I've used OC for so long that a lot of it's problems that I would have, I know how to bypass and I much prefer it's movable UI.

And I'll have to restart some of those pictures I had finally started working on. oh well

Well I've found out that my old art programs aren't compatible with Vista (mutter) And as such I have to pay up now. Not too big a problem, but I'm curious as to some input.

Using Sai on the demo timer, SAI seems really really floaty and I'm not too huge a fan of it's UI. It does seem to offer a few options that OC/CG Illust don't though.

And if anyone knows a third program let me know. Otherwise, any input on either program would be good

Picked up Shin Megumi Tensei: Devil Survivor today. Pretty good too, good soundtrack and game play to go with your mind fucks and end of the world plots.

Well I should have a new laptop by the end of the next week, but what this means is that I'll most likely be digging out my copic sketch markers, some half decent paper and my favorite pencil for some good old fashioned pen and paper work. Main reason I'm posting this is that my laptop gave up the ghost. No warning, the HD just suddenly exploded basically.

Any work I don't have uploaded was lost. This means all of my references as well. Fortunately I knew the laptop's age meant it wouldn't last long regardless of how often I kept putting new parts in so I did back up some of the stuff. A few weeks ago. Oops.

America's Army 3 is out. I'm half hoping I can get my 58 Honor account recovered from the original set of games, but I'm going to assume that I'll have to redo SF, Medic and Airborne training at the very least. (Vehicle and Javelin training too...) Oh well, I'll post my name up when I get it up and running. Though since it's on Steam it might just end up being my Steam account.
