Tag Blocking and Policy Update
Posted 8 months agoNever thought I'd see the day, but Furaffinity is implementing a Tag-based blocking system.
Which is something people wanted for ages and...now we got it.
Hopefully that will shut some people up.
But keep in mind, this is a feature that will need to evolve and will need work from all sides.
So, please tag your stuff to make it easier for people to hide what they don't like to see.
Along goes a pretty sensible rewrite of AUP 2.7.
And while it can't cover everything and, as always if humans are involved, can still go wrong at one point or another... I personally think that this is a good step forward into the right direction.
(And yes, it's still completely valid to be done with the site for good (there is more than enough that went horribly wrong), I'm not trying to convince anybody...and I'm not planning on going into lengthy discussions about it. You do you and that is completely fine with me!
For me, personally, I think I can make my peace, at least for now. I won't forget what happened. And I know I have given FA plenty of shit. But they are trying and I think it's genuine, so I am moving forward again. If it's not, yes, jokes are on me.
So, you might expect some more Uploads soon. I don't have that much, but a bit and I guess I will start posting again, once I've shaken off 2024 a bit more)

Goodbye 2024
Posted 8 months agoSo, 2024 is gone and it has been terrible. Not going into more private details, those of you who know me a little better, got a glimpse of what's going on.
Some things will get worse in 2025. I hope for a few more or less good years for 2 people I hold most dear. But there isn't a way to avoid the outcome, that is how those things progress.
But maybe there will be fewer catastrophes and emergencies in 2025.
We will see. To be honest, I need to shake off 2024 a bit, before I can move on.
Work will also be more stressful in the future, which might limit my time for interaction. At least a bit.
Speaking of moving on, maybe I will start uploading again in the near future. At least, I am planning on it and willing to give this another chance. Things could still go sideways here, but there are people involved behind the scenes that I trust. And those people are quite hopeful.
So, maybe there will some more bearkitty stuff that I commission from you amazing artists here and in all the other places.
What else?
I finally left Twitter and spread my bases between 2 instances of Mastodon (Meow.social and cubhub.social) and also (a bit more reluctant) an account on Bluesky.
You shouldn't have many problems finding me there.
I'd also would love to try and reconnect with my own Little side, which is almost completely lost. We'll see how that goes. Again, I need to shake off 2024 first and that will need time.

And it is now roughly 2 weeks later.
So, where do I stand now, having had some time to think. And to cool down.
One thing remains: it will take time to rebuild trust and to mend wounds. I guess I am also still hurt, as I haven't starting uploading again just yet. Will I? Probably. Dunno. Give me some more days to think about it.
But I think this time it might really be genuine. Hopefully it will work out in the end. What I can acknowledge (and appreciate) is that Sciggles is trying. For real I think.

Mods stepped down, including Luffy, which was necessary to even trying to go on. With Luffy, no deal, sorry. But Luffy is gone, several Mods are gone, the team is getting rebuild.
(also as a personal. thing, Sciggles herself stepped in, paying for Ash's GFM goals to get a lawyer handling the issue, after Ash received a malicious and fraudulent copyright strike from Catamara that got their educational video about Babyfurs taken down by Youtube. Sciggles didn't have to do this, but she did. And it was a lot of money).
So, Ghosty... everything is forgiven so easily?
No. It is not.
it will take time to rebuild trust with the ABDL furry community. And a lot of other furries who stepped in for "us" as well.
That will not happen over night. I am willing to see where this is going.
I also still understand everybody who is done with this place.
Hekk, I was so bitter and angry and very reluctant to give the team even one inch.
Guess we also should try and get our eggs into different baskets, the next time a single place goes belly up for us.
But honestly, for the first time since this whole kerfuffle started, I am feeling hopeful.

After all that has happened, it will be hard to rebuild trust.
Trust has been smashed to pieces over and over again.
Waiting for an apology for people getting banned over harmless art, only to get harsher yet still unclear rules in response.
That fucking hurt, being treated like the fandom's Parias.
But that was the first posting I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt.
An actual apology, which is what many of us wanted in the first place.
Maybe this could be a start, but it will be a long road, like you already noticed.
And yes, of course that also means we can't expect results overnight.
Started my FA account 17 years ago. Felt like a home.
Then so much trust was destroyed.
I'm not spiteful, just hurt and disappointed.
Personally, I would like to believe that this time it's sincere.
Guess I'm willing to give you that.
And then, I guess, time will tell. Actions will tell, if trust can slowly be rebuilt or not.
Let's leave it at that for the moment.

Still slow uploads
Posted 2 years agoI'm sorry that I am still way behind with my Uploads.
I'm currently not at my best, there things in RL that I cannot talk about, but which drag me down immensely.
Also I am still not sure about FA policy updates which have been .. disastrous at best.
I might upload a few pieces. New pieces, so not chronological order.
Please dear artists that I have commissioned.. that does not mean that I don't value the art I got. I do. Very much so.
And I do post them on social media.
I'm just not sure what will happen and how I will continue.
So until then, Uploads will be slow and very much delayed.
