The Sky is Falling?
Posted 16 years agoSo here I am, sitting quietly at my computer desk, sketching away when it happens...
...A dark, mysterious object falls on me from above! :O
It landed on my leg only to disappear seconds later. I don't believe I ever got up from my chair faster than I did at that moment. o.o; I'm proud to say I didn't make with the man-screams or flail in a futile manner, though I did swipe at my leg instinctively as it could've been a spider from hell. I searched for a good fifteen minutes with a large, high-powered flashlight, but found no trace of whatever the creature was, nothing scurrying away at the periphery of my vision. The hopeful side of me wonders if it was the precocious little gecko I saw in my room about a month ago. I nicknamed him Scrambles.
Let me tell you, I'd be fine if I knew what it was and would take the appropriate steps to deal with it. What's getting to me right now is the fear of the unknown with this crawly. I don't know where or what it is. *glances about furtively*
At least it didn't happen while I was sleeping. That would've been one heck of a rude awakening. At which point I couldn't promise the lack of man-screams. :3

Why now?
Posted 16 years agoFookin' AC had to die just as the weather is/was becoming considerably hotter. Must...find...a way...to keep cool. x.x;
:End Transmission:
(Update 5-12)
Hooray for a new HVAC unit. :3
Don't touch the thermostat! *stands guard with a pointy stick* >:3

The Ghost Returns
Posted 18 years agoAh. What a wonderful treat it was to fly up and over to see my long time best friend, Spider, again; to seat myself in different surroundings; to refresh my mind with newfound wonders, and most of all make sure he had settled well in the new life he had found for himself. From what I could tell, he had. It certainly was an adventure. Hanging out, seeing new places, trying new food, and sometimes doing the same ol' in a new locale felt different, felt new. *sigh* Just to clear my head and toss away all the meaningless clutter. The trip was a much needed experience. I can barely remember what my life felt like before I left. Perhaps that's a good thing. The time has come for something new. I enjoy spontaneity, but sometimes good planning is good too. Surely something Mandy can attest to. =P With that said, I look forward to another trip up and over to that land far away.
On a side note, a remnant left in my mind formed by many small events, I find myself a bit lost, wondering what to do next now that I am back home. Do I step forth and continue my life here amongst all that is familiar and well known, or take them up on their offer and join them in that land of subtle mysteries and intrigue. Only time will tell.
For now, I'm on a journey for some small measure of peace that we all seek, but few ever find.
