Some of you might already know this, yet I just recently discovered this fact. They make kevlar vests, for dogs. Not just for police or military dogs....for civilians to purchase for their dogs.
To think, some people have dogs better protected than most people are.

This is more of an opinion question.
Is miniature painting considered art? And what is your reason for your opinion?

I realize on one hand that mini painting will never be displayed at an art gallery, or accepted by mainstream society as a valid artistic expression. No one gives grants to paint bits of metal and plastic wargame pieces.

On the other hand, people do commission others to paint their figures. People travel quite a way to compete and win awards and prizes. I'm just curious if anyone is interested in painted furry minis on this site.

I know, this only applies to those furs that play secondlife. It's still rather unsettling as the "adult only" main grid is now being opened to minors. This may create a whole lot of legal troubles.

A week ago came the New Year, ad a few days ago came my Birthday. I'm one year older, and not much wiser. I'm still trying to decide if I should go back to furry art or not. I would have to relearn the style, and it would take time away from painting minis and Secondlife.
I also don't post much from Secondlife since most of my forms were purchased from other sources and not very heavily modified, so it seems as if I'm taking images of other people's work. Still, it is something I enjoy and to those of you who know my persona on SL, thank you.

I would like to help all of my old friends for helping me walk through Secondlife; as well as new friends as I explore and stumble around. I'm always amazed at bumping into those I've lost contact with years ago. You all know who you are, and you've all been a tremendous help to me, thank you.

Well, I bit the bullet and decided to try Secondlife. So far I'm a complete newbie, and living off of freebies. Hopefully I'll be able to fashion a Kestrel avatar someday, for now I'll just have to learn and explore.

Here we go with new stuff and a new hobby. I've taken pictures of anthro and furry related RPG miniatures that I have painted, and some converted. Most will be n the scraps area, and let me know if you want to see more of them in the future.

I hope I don't raise any hopes that I have left art retirement, for any dinosaurs out there that remember my work. I haven't made any new furry artwork since 2003, and may have become quite rusty.

I have taken up a new hobby of painting RPG miniatures. I can't claim to have sculpted any, though I have made a few conversions. If there is any interest in viewing such things, I might release them as "scraps" if and when I have a decent digital camera for such things.

I plan to release some old artworks for a time until then.
