So, I know that this is more of an American holiday but I really hope that everyone is thankful for something today. I know that I'm very happy that I've had so much support from friends, family and anyone that's ever read or supported my work. I feel like this year has been really been successful for me in terms of writing despite a few setbacks early on.

Hey, everyone! I know that Fall doesn't technically start (at least where I am) for another week but I felt that it would be a good time to get things rolling and give an update on how things are going.

First off, I just want to say thanks so much for the great feedback on the new story I posted earlier this week. It was so great to work on and I'm happy y'all enjoyed it.

Also, getting a favorite from one of the Pirate's Fate creators was pretty dope to see as well. Every favorite I get is really awesome to see, but knowing Volkenfox saw I made a story and faved it was super cool.

Now, getting into some nitty gritty stuff, I'm planning to open for commissions at some point soon. It was going to be this weekend but things IRL got really busy and, to put it bluntly, I haven't been giving myself enough time to rest and take care of myself and I really need to do that so it might be closer to early next week. I'm starting to recognize potential signs of burnout when it comes to writing and I really want to get on top of that before it gets too bad. Don't worry, though, I will be opening up again soon since I know a lot of folks have been asking but rest assured you will have a chance to throw money at me soon.

As for the changes mentioned, I'm actually going to be reworking a few things with how slots work. Since 8000 word stories seem to be something I get quite a bit for commissions and those tend to take up a lot of my work time. So, I'm going to be testing out a new type of slot where one 8K story is available at a time as per a suggestion from a friend of mine. I feel that this might be able to help with the workload I get better and we'll see how things go with that.

This is going to coincide with also a new bounty board with some new additions that's also going to be an option for anyone that wants that. The first one was a pretty big success so I'm going to continue the trend and keep it going.

Hey, everyone! Hope things are going well and per usual I'm very happy to see new watchers, so welcome out and thanks for the support!

So, going through what's going on in my life at the moment and how that affects my work on here, things have been going decent. I went to Anthrocon a few weeks ago and that was an absolutely fantastic experience. It's also the first really big con I've been to since the pandemic has been on the downswing so that's also a plus! In addition, I've also been expanding out where I'm putting my stories at so look forward to seeing some other sites where you might be able to find me!

On a related note with AC, you might've noticed that there was no update to the Growth Drive story and that's primarily because there was nothing to actually update. I didn't receive any donations for it and I've actually thought about why and come up with a few explanations.

The big reason was because it was a bit of a snap decision to start it in order to help out my friend JT with some unexpected expenses post-con. However, that whole thing ended up more or less resolving itself so the urgency became, well, not as urgent but I'd already committed to it so I went forward with it. This was definitely a mistake on my part because it was post-con at the beginning of the month when people's finances aren't the most stable and I didn't advertise the drive very much other than vague hints over the last few months.

Another reason I think could also be the subjects. I know Gadget is relatively popular but Julia is definitely less well known than I'd thought. The gimmick idea of them being mice and tying their weights to that in retrospect was also a poor idea as even I was having trouble thinking of what that would translate to, so potentially going with a more traditional gaining structure might've been a better idea.

So, to help remedy that in the future, I'm going to go back to the drawing board and take some suggestions for pairings or just subjects in general. Sound off your opinions below, I'm always looking for feedback and suggestions from y'all. I'm always looking for feedback.

Anyways, I've rambled on long enough about things. Commissions are coming along with all three in my queue being bounties so look forward to that coming up soon.

Gadget Hackwrench ends up going on a rescue mission to help out another mouse in need but finds herself up against an opponent that may match her in both intellect and mechanical aptitude. In order to get out with the rescuee (and still keep her waistline intact) she might have to fight fire with fire... but will that be enough?


Hey, everyone! So, I'm starting this whole idea a little earlier than I had initially anticipated but starting soon I'll be doing my first ever growth drive story! If you're unfamiliar with those, it's essentially a donation drive where the character's sizes (in this case weight) are going to be directly influenced by donations! The initial prologue story will get posted tomorrow and then donations will start. After each week, I'll write the next part directly based off the results of which character each donator wants to gain weight. It's gonna be fun, wacky and weird and hopefully fun too!

I was planning to do this later this year after my commissions were more under control but a friend of mine ran into some issues with his suit at Anthrocon and now unfortunately needs a new pair of footpaws so all the proceeds from this will end up going to him. There's no pressure on anyone to donate although signal boosting will be appreciated!

The ones in question are the two Final Fantasy XIV stories Palace of the Fattened and The Fattening Days. Now, I won't be taking them down immediately since I've talked to some folks and stories might be okay because of certain differences between that and visual art. Just in case, though, Palace of the Fattened would have to just flat out be removed since there's no way for me to remove the Lalafell character from it without affecting the narrative while Fattening Days would get revised to not have any references to Lala characters.

I don't think anything will happen but they are two of my more popular stories so I figured I'd let everyone know about that and recommend saving the PDF for Palace. Until next time, take care

So, per the journal's title, I need to acknowledge that I've made a mistake and then apologize for it.

When I first started doing story commissions, I never thought that I'd ever hit a point where I'd get enough that I'd feel overwhelmed. Mind you, this isn't a bad thing since it means that I have folks interested in my work. However, I've also run into an issue where I'm just having difficulty keeping up. For anyone that's gotten a commission from me and has been waiting on me for it or for anyone waiting for my queue to open back up, I'm sorry that it's been taking so long and I promise I will do better and get everything done. All I ask is for some continued patience (which I've been thankfully blessed to have many patient and understanding clients over the years.)

Now, an apology means nothing if I don't take efforts to rectify my mistakes so I'm going to be doing that. My main reasoning behind taking so many stories was that I wanted to have a little extra money for travel and other things this summer. However, having a large backlog doesn't mean anything if I can't get to the stories in a timely manner and also get paid at the same time.

Because of this, I'm going to be limiting myself back down to a limit of five stories for the next time I'm open. This does not include eventual YCH or the upcoming growth drive project stories as those are more open ended for me to work with. I feel like having the ceiling will allow me to not bite off more than I can chew and regulate myself better too.

Beyond that, I'm also practicing more personal techniques for managing stress and not burn myself out enough to where I hate looking at my computer. That's going well so far and I'm hoping it continues.

Doing my quarterly update on how things are going so here we go!

First off, I am so SO grateful and honestly so happy at the positive reception Wishing For Weight got. I love that the pic and the story both are getting so much from everyone. Rowan did a fantastic job and this journal's also going to serve as a plug to go check his art out. It's very adorable overall.

As for commission work, it's still steadily progressing on with actually quite a few bounty stories having been claimed. I'm actually planning to do a re-upload of the picture as soon as I figure out how to change the color of a picture in Photoshop. lol

For later things, I'm actually parsing out ways to potentially do a growth drive-based story coming up as a way to get some more money for the summer as I'm actually going to be traveling quite a bit (a bit more than expected tbh) so look forward to that as well as another YCH story that will feature your character becoming my sumo instructor Izumi's student!

Again, thank you guys so much for everything. When I started doing commissions four years ago I never once thought that I'd get anywhere near the level of attention, watchers and love that I have. Thank you again so much and keep being awesome!
