Hello!
Posted 11 years agoWow, guys. We need to drum up some action!
Mod pavillion here!
So I've just noticed we have a lot of older art in our gallery and our favorites and I would really love to breathe some life back into this place!
If you guys have any contest ideas, please let me know! I love hearing what you guys think will help improve the group -- and seeing as I've just made mod, I want to do everything I can in order to make sure this group succeeds and that Glee's message is passed on for as long as possible! <3
Hope all is well for everyone!

Posted 13 years agoSo, as the original club in Glee has mostly graduated, so shall I be moving on. I may pop in every now and then (can't be any less than I already do), BUT this group is now under new management!
Starting today, please welcome
voondahbayosh as the new owner and mod! *Applause*
Edit:
Hey gleeks :> Voon here.
Just wanted to say thanks for the welcome <3 I'm really excited to help out with the community.
Mainly want to ask you guys, if there are any drawings that are glee related that you would like to have posted in the community, please either link in the shouts or through notes. I'll try to check up on this community as much as I can <3 and we desperately need more glee art haha.
Or even if you would just like to recommend some favorites for the community. those im keeping a lil more flexible. they dont have to be completely glee related. They can be drawings of your character singing or playing an instrument. anything like that :3
thanks a bunch you guys

The Glee Project (Finale) [WARNING: SPOILERS!]
Posted 14 years agoSo, the Glee Project has finally ended, and turned up with four winners instead of just one. However, the two MAIN winners were the two most of us were cheering for to begin with, so I'm quite elated. Congrats to Damien and Sam!
The two runners-up, Lindsay and Alex, are a bit unnerving. The two episodes they are set to show up in aren't going to be ones that I (personally) will look forward to, but I could always be wrong. I'm heavily looking forward to the 7-episode arc where Damien and Sam will show up, and let's hope they become series regulars if they bring a nice diverse spice to the show <3.
We only have less than a month for the new season of glee, so let's all prepare, and hope this one will bring back the magic the first season contained.

The Glee Project (3)
Posted 14 years agoEpisode 7: possibly one of the most heart-wrenching episodes yet. We all had to say a tear-jerking goodbye to Cameron.
I've said from the beginning that he has amazing talent, yet I didn't think he was right for the show. He realized it himself, and extricated himself before anybody else could be pushed away. I think the moment I lost it was when Damien said it himself, "[Cameron] has basically given me his shot."
I'm sure most of us are fans of Damien as well, and are simultaneously shocked and very glad he's dodged a bullet, but it won't take away the surprise of losing a rockstar.
Cameron has beliefs, and there is nothing wrong with that. It is very admirable to stick by those beliefs. However, when you are an actor, you have to push them aside. I don't mean abandoning them, I just mean becoming somebody else, and when all the fun and pretend is over, you go back to the respectable you. Either way, it was too much for him.
On a lighter note, Samuel is still passing with flying colors, and has by far the best record yet. He's not even been in the bottom three, and he has yet to receive criticism on his performances. He keeps looking better and better.
Alex has grown a bit more detached from everything, every week he's either been pompous or just lost. Though, I will admit his last chance performance ("I Will Survive") was breath-taking.
Lindsay, seriously, go home girl. I'm happy that she's beginning to struggle, because her attitude towards other people is just poor.
Hannah, you sweet adorable ball of happiness, good for you. I'm sticking by my beliefs that she's not the best candidate for a new cast member on Glee, but it's really hard to dislike her. She seems to be an amazing actress, even if not the best singer, and her demeanor seems to cheer me up each time she's on-screen.
Damien, we love you so. You're sexy, you're Irish, and above all else, you're a sweetheart. Stick it out, just a little longer!

The Glee Project (2)
Posted 14 years agoOkay, well, we've seen a roller-coaster so far with our contestants. Only a few things need to be said in this journal:
Lindsay, gtfo! Big-friggen-whoop, you can sing like a star. It doesn't make you any less of a bitch and what you put Cameron through for your own selfish needs to WIN WIN WIN, driven by jealousy of something special, is sickening. While I normally do try to remain neutral in these journals, I felt strongly that this needed to be said. There's already a Rachel on Glee, we don't need a real-life one.
Alex, you said "I really believe my story needs to be told on that show"- do you not even watch it? You have the same story as Kurt and Mercedes, mashed together. Also, taking the glory of winning a homework assignment away because you were jealous was pretty petty, and while I didn't find you a proper fit for the show to begin with, I have lost most respect for you as a performer.
Samuel, you are amazing, though a douche-bag for stealing Hannah's little free-style rap, and not even giving her any of the credit. That being said, we're rooting for you. You would make an amazing addition to the show, as long as you go back to acting ORIGINAL.
Hannah, you're adorable, and even more so that you've opened up a little bit more and aren't as afraid to be yourself around your competition. I find you hilarious, and a natural positive person, and you must make a lot of people wonderfully happy. The only problem I see with you is that there are already two big girls in the cast, they've milked that "flaw" as much as Kurt's storyline, and you're going to need another angle to make your mark on that show.
Finally, Melissa, where the hell did you come from? You started out so bland, and more of a wannabe stage-performer, but lately you've just been on fire! Keep going what you're doing, and own that show!

The Glee Project
Posted 14 years agoNow that Glee Season 2 has come to close, they bring us a nice little filler. A competition to find the next cast member on Glee!!
The saddest part about this show, is that there are easily 6 out of the twelve that we'd LOVE to see join the cast, with hundreds of possible storylines, but only one will be picked.
If you haven't seen this show yet, please try! It's on the Oxygen Channel every Sunday, or you can look it up online.
If I can play favorites for a minute:
Samuel, I'd love for him to be our new glee cast member. Not only does he have the natural sex appeal and charm, but he seems like a very misunderstood guy on top of him being deadly-talented.
Matheus, a 4' 9" wild-boy with a heart of gold, is the top contender it seems. While his voice may not be the most amazing during certain songs, he really knows how to let go and be himself, not to mention have fun with whatever song he's doing.
Cameron, a hipster-gone-rockstar, has a perfect rock-star voice and, in the second episode of The Glee Project, certainly showed some real sex-appeal.
Damien.... Oh, lovely Damien... An emerald voice, if anything. Deep, alluring, with pure eyes and an accent to melt to. He has his own little interpretation on the music he does, and it's never a bad thing. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing an Irish foreign exchange student join New Directions, if they were as good as this.
Lindsay, another Rachel if I ever saw it. I don't mean that in a bad way, by any means. She's somewhat of a diva off-screen, and she brags about being professionally-trained. She has the talent, the attitude, and if she wins she may put up quite a challenge for a certain Berry.
Alex. dear God, Alex. Possibly the love-child of Kurt and Mercedes from the future, here to take his rightful place at the throne. Openly gay, magnificent vocal range, and an attitude that possesses no fear when he's competing or singing. We can certainly count him as a proper contender, ignoring the fact that Kurt can sing just as feminine, and Mercedes is just as black-and-sassy.
McKynleigh would be an ironic choice, since her name is basically a different spelling of our Glee Club's school, but she's not an overall bad choice. Her voice is smooth, controlled, and she sure knows country. My only problem with her is that she doesn't seem to stand out much. She better take some control and show some originality soon, or she's not going to last.
Emily, a latina babe that, while you will love to hate her off and on the screen, you can't ignore she has talent. Although, we already have plenty of latina bitches for the cast, we don't really need another. It doesn't sit well with me that she thinks her main talent is "flirting" and "hair-flipping" though...
These are pretty much my honorable mentions from the cast, and I'm 100% positive that one of these eight will win (pending any unforeseen attitude towards the hosts or injuries). Makes sure to go HERE to vote for the fan favorite of your choice, so they can win $10,000 and a live-performance!

Glee Season 2 Is Almost Over
Posted 14 years ago...but boy have we had quite a run this season! While the show seems to have fallen into more of a gimmicky nature, they have done some amazing covers, and we even got to hear some amazing ORIGINAL songs! These kids have talent, no doubt, and after this season ends in just a couple of weeks, they will be returning in September for Season 3!
Since our last update (sorry about the wait, by the way), they have released not only Volume 5, but a Warblers album, that even has two album-exclusive songs. Regionals have come and gone, with some amazing performances (from every group), and now we are so close to most likely another breath-taking performance.
This will be New Directions' biggest competition yet, where they will face off against the hyper-talented Vocal Adrenaline that beat them down last year during Regionals. Along with this face-off, it seems there will be another Original Song coming our way, called "Light Up The World". Now, if you feel like it, you can listen to the song on youtube, ripped from a radio broadcast. The song itself has not been released as an official mp3 yet, but lord knows we're waiting over here.
The next episode to premier is called "Funeral", and is supposed to feature a death of a beloved character. There have been plenty of rumors fluctuating on who may pass, but nothing will be certain until we watch. After that, the glee club is straight off to New York for certain to compete. This final episode of the season will featuring plenty of guest-stars, including Cheyenne Jackson, Jonathon Groff, and even Patti LuPone!!
While it is sad to say goodbye once again, we don't have long to wait, and plenty of musical genius to keep us occupied. We love you, Glee!!
(On a side note, there will be a 3D concert-themed movie hitting theaters in the next couple of months. We'll keep you updated when we know more)

Glee Vol. 5 (BIG NEWS!)
Posted 14 years agoAs we all know from last week's big episode (thought not as many people enjoyed it because of Bieber-Fever) they revealed the possibility of ORIGINAL songs, just for Regionals! While Rachel didn't seem too amazing in her first attempt, be prepared for a supposedly mind-blowing musical experience. You can pre-order Glee: The Music Vol. 5 right now, and included in the many amazing covers they have done, are TWO original songs which will be performed during the upcoming episode "Original Song" (working title, I believe) on March 15th, 2011.
The first is "Get It Right", which is supposed to be well within Rachel's abilities, as a high-emotion Ballad.
The second is called "Loser Like Me", and it's described as a "high-energy pop ensemble". If there is anything that makes Glee special, it's their high-energy performances, especially during competitions. Last year's Regionals was such an amazing milestone for the group, regardless of their loss, and their Journey-Medley has remained a big favorite for many Gleeks.
There is no sample track yet of the original songs, but I'd personally want to wait and be surprised for once.
Pre-Order your copy NOW of the next glee album! You can find it HERE

Love Is In The Air!
Posted 14 years agoAnother glee episode has come and gone, and boy was it an amazing episode! So many possibilities open, now. Plus, a certain cheer-leading coach's reputation has been quite soured.
The Glee train hasn't stopped rolling yet- Tuesday, February 8th we have yet another episode, and our favorite rag-tag bunch will be shaking up TV with silly love songs! Love is certainly in the air for New Directions, and I'm sure y'all can't wait to see the drama that ensues.

Glee Returns!!
Posted 14 years agoYes, FINALLY, Glee shall be returning on Super Bowl Sunday, premiering RIGHT AFTER the Super Bowl itself with an episode that can ONLY be described as "Thriller"!
We must all be excited, not to mention there will be ANOTHER episode two days later on Tuesday- February 8th with a Valentine's Day theme.
With the return of Glee,
yujoben is offering a special on his Glee Badges: only $15 for a badge! Go over and note him if you're interested!

Posted 15 years agoWell, the last episode didn't seem that bad, compared to the apparent train-wreck of Sectionals. I hadn't written an update to last week's episode because I wasn't all that happy with it myself- I was happy they did "Dog Days Are Over" by Florence + The Machine. "Valerie" had a very nice beat to it, but I didn't ever think of it as Sectionals material (including "(I've Had) The Time of My Life", which was just very cheesy).
This current episode was very..."Christmas-y", which wasn't altogether a bad thing. It feels good to see that most of the characters still have a heart.
Anyway, whether you've enjoyed or hated the current episodes, get used to them, because Glee won't be showing new episodes until Feb. 6th, 2011. Sucks, right?

Posted 15 years agoIf you didn't cry at this episode, then you have no heart. I don't want to spoil anything (the ending, for instance) with how heart-breaking and plot-twisting this episode actually was, but it is setting us up for quite a competition.
With Sectionals next week, and an added difficulty (thanks to the ending that shall not be revealed here), we are getting back on track with the amazing storyline that Glee is known for. Several songs have been revealed, and a personal favorite of mine was heard in the preview. I don't know about all of you, but I really can't wait!

Posted 15 years agoHoly crap! Who knew she could sing so well? Her cover of Cee-Lo's song "Fuck You" was spot on <3
The Christmas Album for Glee is now released, which is causing Holiday commotion amongst gleeks. Let's not forget the 4th volume of Glee's legacy will be released in only a couple of weeks. Get ready to dance, people!
