Furaffinity... is a fucking mess right now. From what I've seen as far as reports go what happened a few days ago was not fully resolved. I have generalized anxiety disorder so even writing this journal is really stressing me out. I just feel FA needs another little bit to fix everything before its truly "safe" again.

There's also my tumblr but its way less... directed at furry things than my twitter for reasons I just follow a lot of you fluffballs there. The basic reason that happened was tumblr = folks I met on DA and friends, twitter = folks I met on FA/weasyl and friends. I also have a furry network account which is a bit less active than here but largely because I haven't found too many folks to follow there yet.

Note I can't because... I'm legitimately too sensitive about my appearance unu;. I mean I don't give a shit that I'm ugly that's something I've long stopped caring about after years of abuse directed at the way I look. Its more the furry community repeatedly showing its not trans friendly. I mean I'd hope most of you reading this are decent folks that wouldn't misgender someone based on appearances but you never know who's gonna circulate your public post around a circle jerk of sadistic nasty noots.
Maybe one day I'll get over that much like maybe someday I'll get over being afraid to post anything that's past a PG rating on here but that day isn't today.

Since I got a private note about it I decided to list on my frontpage my status for things. The general gist is I don't have a price sheet for the very reason that my health is very... not good even on the best of days. When I was a few years younger I was able to reliably draw and sew plushies for other people but two things have changed:
a) I got sicker on a physical level (my mental health has actually stabilized).
b) I started to focus on my own project instead of random stuff.

I want my sci fi to actually show up in 2017 as stated on the promotional poster, as is late 2015 until now has been a clusterfuck of suffering. I'm not trying to make people feel bad for me I'm simply trying to establish a certain personal space. When art trades and commissions are opened I'll make an announcement. If that happened it would mean either the option is there for me right now (like if I'm ahead of schedule with stuff) or really need money on a ridiculously desperate level I'm willing to make some hefty health and personal sacrifices to do it.

As the subject title says there's now something called "where to find me online" with 7 links to the other 7 websites I use. Most of them are art specific though tumblr and twitter are for generic whatever though they still end up with a lot of art sharing all the same. On top of that they have a lot of random thoughts (rarely anything overly serious), animal photos/videos, cartoon related posts of varying topics and awful but otherwise inoffensive jokes.

I've been offline for about 3 days now because my computer decided its hard drive had enough of my shenanigans and burnt out on Tuesday. Its a good thing I decided to wrap up that fursona ref on Monday evening because otherwise lmao yep that would have sucked even more!

Due to my hard drive being beyond any saving I lost everything but luckily most art related things have two back ups so those should be safe. That said my tablet is currently not installed and the only art program on this computer is MS paint at the moment. I am beyond exhausted today because on top of all of this I've been kinda poopy health wise so I likely won't be fucking around with that too much until tomorrow. Tonight I plan to mostly go from site to site logging back in and informing people of the fact I haven't died yet. Always good news I imagine!

And no I don't mean that as a "haha suicide is hilarious" joke, I have literally thought about if I should actually jump off a very large local bridge because tumblr discourse was making me that miserable with life. I mean yo I am a guy that is full of anxiety and trauma from a really nasty childhood and I literally walk funny because my back is such a mess. Due to all that I can't really work. I'm also ya know transgender, bisexual and aromantic. All of these are endless social justice bullshit (on both sides btw. the aggressive progressives aren't the only ones going around speaking above affected parties and spreading misinfo) had me feelings like my existence is such a controversial burden on this world I just shouldn't exist.

It is not nice and really speaks a lot that people never want to sit down and think about the impact their behaviour actually has on anyone around them. They just want to win arguments and that's it.

Basically I want to be active on sites that make me feel happy and productive and creative rather than like existing is troubling people in itself. So I want to get active on art sites again and less so on sites that primary purpose is social networking. That said I'm always around twitter, twitting away. I did decide today after... weeks of thinking about it I'm going to make that sphynx cat version of me my actual fursona and drop that alien version of me as an author avatar. Its to alleviate some confusion related to them being an OC when they're not as well as keeping my alien species ginaga form being too spoiled by having so many characters and art dedicated to them xP. So yeah eventually when I have the chance (I'm busy right now with an updated character sheet + some other stuff) I'll give him a proper model sheet like most people have for their sonas.

Oh boy I've been super inactive with art in general lately and things got out of control in my inbox. I was up to over 300 submissions. I apologize if I can't comment on any decent amount of those. I've reduced things done to about 20 of the images I wanted to address the most of the bunch and that's really it.

As far as my own work is going... slower than I would like really. I'm trying to do up some character sheet revisions for a number of OCs which have outdated art. All 3 important individuals of a specific alien species I have had to be redrawn due how I've altered the species since their introduction. all 3 are started at least at the sketch level with one being partly inked. Once that's done I may do something in between then go back and do a few more then dedicate whatever is left of 2016 to finishing up all world building I need done by 2017 so the comic can actually start. So yeah busy year.

Just some personal blabber bloops.
My mental health has been heck of not good as of late, its been bad for almost half a year but I had been avoiding medical assistance. The reason for that is honestly... psychiatric doctors here are pretty darn unhelpful. I have consistently only gotten help with them when it comes to medication and even then I've dealt with drama of them not wanting to switch to other medication when it became obvious one type was actually making me violently ill. I have since switched doctors because that person was being reckless and that's a pretty terrible trait for a medical professional to possess imo.

So yeah I had no reason to believe I should even bother trying to get treatment unless I needed drugs which GOLLY GOSH SOME SPOILERS is exactly the only thing I was given! I didn't even mention medication the entire time. I just talked about my problems and waited for the "do u want drug?" single suggestion which is exactly how it played out.

So that said I'm started a medication that kinda a catch all with helping with sleep, anxiety and depression but will make me more doped up for a little bit. So I will try to keep art coming because I am working on a few things at once right now but if I have to just mass delete things because they're piling up forgive me I am trying to get slightly better.

To explain the sheer degree of lack of activity: I've been suffering of chronic headaches as of late. I mean literally almost every day in November I've had a somewhat bad to splitting degree of headache. Its pretty depressing. As such I've gotten 2 drawings worked on this month and only one of them got done ._.;

I hope to finish the other in the next few days (its another big character sheet) but until health is back on track expect things to be ultra slow. I'm still not even sure what this is and my family doctor's advice wasn't all that helpful. I really don't want to start self medicating (ya know not illegal stuff. I mean taking Tylenol all the time) but its looking like I may have to if only to be semi functional for a couple days a week.

I was a bit off yesterday due to some sleeping issues so I totally forgot to say anything here or at any other site besides Twitter and Tumblr. I hope you all had a nice Halloween fully of treats and not so full of tricks because be nice darn you all!

On that note I pretty much check tumblr and twitter a bunch of times every day so if there ever is a need to contact me that's probably the best places to go. Both use the username "FamiliarAlien". My advice to tumblr though is while most of my content is ya know reblogs of art, animal photos and shitposts I do on rare occasion make a actual serious post but I try to stay away from topics that don't honestly affect me. I think the only exception is animal abuse but really its not like frogs and cats can use the internet (not very well at least..). Not any type of activist though.
I always like bringing this up so people aren't surprised when there's a post between all the adorable puppies and shitty memes that's actually me saying something of value 8U.

I've been sick for basically a week right now but haven't said much because I'm sick a lot but honestly sorry if I'm super late at commenting on your work and stuff. I can barely use my brain right now ._.

That said I'm about... half done something. Basically there was only 4 minor characters that had to be drawn before my sci fi started since they show up in the first arc (most likely at least since not all the story events have been place in exact order yet and some are still being figured out all together) and half of them are completely and the other half are sketches right now. I hope that by the weekend it will be done and posted.

Other things include probably introducing a small batch of adopts to see if I can make a tiny bit of money so I can get a sub to Shonen Jump finally and working on a poster for my sci fi meant to have a brief summation of the plot underneath so people can finally have a decent idea where all these characters, species and other things are going.

I will be completely honest here: I want a sub to shonen jump that's literally why I need moolah. Basically I live on low income (due to being disabled) BUT I am super budget conscious so I really balance things out. prob is that rarely leaves room to buy frivolous stuff. I wish to be a giant fucking nerdy sack of shit but in a legal way.

My question is if I made some critters and sold them for maybe $7 USD each or something would anyone want to buy them? Anything in particular you'd like to see?

Keep in mind I wouldn't likely be doing this for a bit anyway since I'm working on some project work right now. This is just to see if there would be any interest at all.

but just noticed they added a little place at the bottom to look at other submissions in your gallery when you view any image... probably is its kinda awkward looking. I know Weasyl has this but it doesn't have a frame around it so its less in your face. Otherwise its fine

On that note are folders new? I didn't think FR had those. Same with submission format looks different now. Either way I think I'll actually make folder for stuff now.

Is there such thing as groups/clubs on FA to share work or is that DA only thing? I mean I don't think there's the same system but before DA had an official system people would set up a secondary plain DA account and use gallery and/or fav to showcase the art of members.

I would say by later today or early tomorrow I'll be fully caught up D: again I haven't been using this site for over a year and a half so obviously a lot was drawn during that time period.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaa I'm not actually dead I know be amazed I still exist! As I said on my last bit of journal making I kinda took hiatus until FA got its act together and it did some months ago. The reason I didn't come back right away was well... I was busy with other sites. Thing is one of the primary distractions I had is no longer the case because after years of fucking up spectacularly at pretty much everything I've given up on DeviantART.

I am currently trying to figure out how to update work here but without a satanically large spam because I'm pretty sure it would go well above 70 images if I posted everything. I'll likely start that journey of tears on Monday or late today depending on my mood.

So what have I been up to I'm sure you're wondering: Not much! I'm a disabled adult my life kinda stays mostly in the same spot. Hmm well I had some mobility problems that got figured out though they're permanent, I had unrelated relatively big surgery around Halloween of 2014, I moved in December of 2014 to a smaller albeit better apartment given the aforementioned mobility problems. I made the projected date on my sci fi comic being ready to begin publication by likely some point in 2017. What else I wonder? I'm on twitter now does that count as news? I've been volunteering a lot more lately and am trying to deal with some other health issues. That's about it.

I think for the time being due to this I won't be staying here. I have pretty strict standards on not being on sites that defend scummy people like it seems to be the case here. I keep seeing journals about it between here and weasyl but I haven't really been given any actual evidence or every too much detail on what happened o-o

For those unaware this account is pretty new, I left FA due to lack on interest many many years ago and only made a new account this august so I literally have no idea about anything in relation to it only that it sounds pretty gross and serious.

So I want to ask:
a) is there any good long explanation in written form for what's been going on? Usually someone out there has summarized it.
b) For those 30 or so people I follow here do ya'll have a weasyl account/tumblr blog? I know quite a few of your do but not everyone. For those unaware my weasyl username is the exact same as it is here so I'm easily found. I won't bother listing my tumblr blog since its not art exclusive, if you really want to know you can totally ask though.

As far as plans for the year goes:
-Keep on with Entirety especially with animal species and characters, hopefully getting most done within the first half of the year if possible.
-Avoid distractions with other things (as it is I'm handing over my digimon group at DA to a new mod. Besides that I'm going to avoid shit like Pokecember)
-Try to actually get a bunch of health things dealt with which have been distracting from literally everything (fix sleeping patterns, get my legs FINALLY diagnose since they're only getting worse, actually get gender dysphoria stuff started, have my social anxiety actually treated).
-Start doing those big pieces I mentioned before showing off landscape, tech and architecture of the planets (I need more animals done before I can do that).
-Try to be more social and get out more (pending health issues mentioned above are dealt with)
Commission more people (also pending health issues being dealt with because right now travel is eating up much of my extra cash)
-Get Starbound (something actually leisure on this list)
-Read One Piece (another leisure thing)
-Possibly if there's enough time before the year is done do realistic drawings of the xeno people of Entirety (another leisure thing which I thought would be cool).

I don't really have any special plans for here unlike I have for DA/Weasyl. I'll probably have an avatar change at some point? No idea

I plan to update this journal the same everywhere. My holiday was both great and shitty all at once.

The shitty part was my mental health took a nosedive due to some insensitivity by relatives and I spend a good couple of hours in the ER on Xmas eve getting anxiety/pain meds because I was so stressed one of my arms started to hurt a lot and I thought I was taking a heart attack.

In better news I got more than I could have ever hoped for as presents not that my hopes were all that super high. I got many pairs of socks, a bunch of orange chocolate because I love that stuff, tons of giftcards, a couple of pairs of pyjamas and a 2DS which was the big present. I have nicknamed it my Toastendo, its red and therefore I love it as that is my favourite colour.

So hopefully everyone else had a nice holiday with hopefully less mental meltdowns.

I don't actually usually draw pokemon fanart, this is just for this month. After that fanart should go back to being rarer :U. Though hope you've been enjoying me doing work outside my usual style.
