GoBob (one word... like Madonna.)
2. What kind of character is it (furry, anime, etc) and any particular race/species?
Furry-scaly, for lack of better description. He is a monkey/dragon hybrid, though he usually just looks like a bipedal monkey in a trench coat. His draconic characteristics show themselves randomly, depending on his mood (and mine).
3. What is the first thing your character would think of when he/she first wakes up?
Not much. He'd probably smash the alarm clock and go back to sleep. He isn't a morning person.
4. Your character's favorite outfit would be?
A long sleeve silk dress shirt. Loose, roomy slacks. Rugged hiking boots. His ankle-length trench coat. And, of course, his signature cane.
5. When your character looks into a mirror, what's the first thing they would notice?
"I've got the eyes of Todd McFarlane's Spawn. So why the hell can't I have his awesome cape and chains?"
6. Does your character have the same tastes in food as you?
Basically, though his penchant for bananas far outweighs my own, and he likes his meat as rare as he can get it. I like mine medium.
7. How is your character similar to you?
He embodies a lot of the darker aspects of my personality (of which there are mercifully few), and shares most of my ideals and opinions. He also has my sense of humor, and is fond of a specific character who is also in the fandom. She knows who she is. ;)
8. How is (s)he different?
He's in better shape than I am (though I'm making progress), he's agile to the point of near Matrix-style defiance of physics, and he has horns. Also tends to be reticent and taciturn, while I'm rather garrulous and extroverted. Oh, and he has glowing green eyes.
9. If your character could speak, would they have the same voice as you?
Sort of. It would be a raspier, rougher version of my voice.
10. If you were to suddenly become your character, what do you think would be the first thing you would do as them?
Climb/jump up the side of a building, just for the hell of it. Remember the scene in the first Spiderman movie where he's first testing the extent of his powers, and jumping over rooftops and stuff? Yeah, that'd be me.
11. Is there something about your character that you don't like how others think of them?
Not particularly.
12. What advantages does your character have over you?
As previously mentioned, agility and physical fitness are the big things.
13. What disadvantages?
Height (he's technically only supposed to be 5'8"), and a bit of a temper.
14. Do you have any secrets relating to your character that only you know?
Maybe one or two. Most of the stuff I've come up with is pretty common knowledge.
15. Do you have any secret drawings only you know about?
There are one or two that the owner of his love interest drew a while back... I need to draw some reciprocals. ;)
16. Do you have any plans for your character or are you working on something big relating to him/her?
Been planning on doing some kind of Flash animation about him for ages now... but that has to wait until I learn fucking Flash. Grrr.
17. What misconception(s), if any, do people have about your character?
When I first started drawing him, people thought he was a mouse because his ears looked different. Several people have called him Gobo, though I doubt it was intentional. I still get questions from strangers about what species he is supposed to be. >shrug<
18. If you could have just ONE characteristic from your character, what would it be?
His glowing eyes.
19. Have you made any characters that go along with yours, based on real-life people, that have the same relationship with your character as you with the real-life person?
My whole crew. The "HMP" pics are furry representations of my friends. I need to do an updated one.

Someone mentioned that the M/F picture was so well done, and its content so endearing, that it would turn all of FA straight. I contemplated that statement, and thought of how massive a feat it would be to turn every gay and bi member of FA hetero with a single pic. That thought was immediately followed by the perfect word for anything that came close to succeeding:

I need a... a... bukkake of ideas!
General | Posted 18 years agoSeriously, folks... horrid mental imagery aside, I do need your help. I've been in a creative rut for months. I have the urge to draw 'til my pencil catches fire, but my well of inspiration isn't deep enough. Or maybe there's just a dead rat in it or something. I'm trying to get back in the habit of drawing something new almost every day.
Keep in mind, I'm not taking requests, per se--at least not at the moment. This is not "Hey, can u draw my char plz?" I just need assistance getting my artistic mojo working again. Once I'm back in the game for real, I'll be more than happy to do some free doodles for those who helped me out.
Anyway, I need concepts, ideas, poses... anything you can think of that could be cool, sexy or challenging to draw. Who knows... if I get some serious feedback, I might even color some of them. Bring on the creative deluge! I can take it!

General | Posted 19 years agoYeah... officially moved into the new digs over the weekend. Strenuous, to say the least. I think I might have grown a few extra body parts, just so that they could catch the superfluous aching. But at least the move is over. Now I get to spend the next few weeks rifling through boxes and wondering where the hell I put my other shoe. Ain't life grand.
Anyhoo, a current list of drawings on the proverbial drawing board are as follows:
-Dragoneer ego contest entry = Done! (cross your fingers on the outcome)
-Foxamoore drawing = in progress
-Wylde in Fur City = queued
-GoBob in Fur City = queued
Trades are currently OPEN. However, my end of each arrangement will fall subject to a full-time work schedule and stage rehearsals, so please be patient with me. Allowing for that, bring em on!

General | Posted 19 years agoBlech... just had to clean up toilet water from the upstairs bathroom. This apartment is a haphazard piece of crap. Glad I am moving at the end of August. Maybe then I wont have to worry about two-decade-old appliances and fixtures breaking or falling apart or flooding all the time. Ye gods, I hate toilet water.
Anyhoo, I've got a couple of trades/requests that I am working on at the moment, and here they are in random order:
Foxamoore: pic of his fursona being all snazzy and pianoman-ish and stuff
Dragoneer: entry for his little contest :)
And I'm sure there are others that I have just forgotten right now. I'll update later as needed. Trades are still open, though.

For lack of more fitting nomenclature, I'll usurp the identity of my alter ego, and thus be known as GoBob, though some in much older circles have also known me as Kai. Whatever works for you, O gentle reader.
Anyhow, there is little to know of me that isn't already delineated in my brief profile: I am a self-proclaimed Bard, and hold that title dear to my heart. One of the few faithful remaining fans of chivalry in all its forms, and one of fewer still who attempt to apply the ideal in their daily lives. A romantic at heart, the soul of an artist, eyes of burnt amber, and... as others have sworn to me... a silver tongue.
Ah, wordplay. My most passionate passion. There is little I adore as much as eloquence--the act of fluid loquacity which, by design, can delight, enamor, and beguile. When each wispy word wafts a coy caress upon the collective consciousness of collegues and consorts... an aural masterpiece moment after moment. This, my friend, is art. Every nuance is a brilliant hue, every word a yearning brush, every listener a fresh canvas. Will the next work be spoken genius, or meaningless exchange too quickly forgotten? Ask me... and we will find out. ;)
