I dyed my hair black yesterday, mostly because I need a normal color when I start looking for jobs. :3 It turned out well.

Tomorrow I'm going to a pre-halloween party with some of my Homestuck friends. Free weekend (for now) after that, then AUSA! I have so much to do before then. @^@

The mate says we're gonna start our partials never weekend. I've never done fur suit stuff before, so it's gonna be quite the adventure. We wanna get two partials done before Furthemore in April, and I'd love to get at least my head done before AUSA (though I probably won't). I'll be posting update pics in the meantime.

Also, I've rebotted my zodiac series, though for some reason FA wouldn't let me upload. I'd like to do two bust prints for each sign (a male and female versions with different species or breeds), but it'll take a while.

Anyway...I just felt like posting a journal. I've been lazy the last two days, getting up at like 5PM, watching House, and playing video games all day.

EDIT: Never mind abut the gaming meet. The mate has to work and he's been asking off a lot lately. We'll make it to another one. <3

You know that person I mentioned a couple of journals back? The person I can't stand? You know what, fuck them. I'm done with their shit.

I go on Facebook and the first thing I see is a status saying Romney should get raped so he knows what it's like. Fuck you. I hate Mitt Romney. The thought of him becoming president sends a chill down my spine. He's horrible for the country, for women, and for every other group. But wishing him to be raped is fucking disgusting.

You don't wish that one ANYONE. Just the thought it making me shake with anger.

Here comes a revelation: I'm the victim of multiple sexual assaults. I know what it's like to be in a situation as horrible as that. I don't wish that on any living creature. Seeing rape and assault disappear tomorrow would make me cry tears of joy.

So don't you fucking say that. Don't anyone ever say that, whether I can see it or not.

I'm still happy that I'm separated from some people on different site. Example:

There's a person I've known for a while now. Last year, when I was with Stephen, she called him while we were on a date and openly flirted with him and hit on him sexually, knowing she was on speaker phone. I've know her through another fandom for a while now. She IMs me sometimes to talk about all her life problems because she thinks everyone hates her and asks for advice. I give her my honest opinion and she then rejects everything and says I don't "understand" her. She bitches about how nice her friends are when they give her free things (I'm not even kidding), and is generally a dick and holds dickish views.

Now, she complains that she's made a new Facebook page and I didn't add her. I didn't even know, as I'm on Facebook maybe twice a week and have about 150 friends plus thousand of liked pages that post things. I never go on people's profiles and rarely even bother with notifications. She complains that she made "like 12" posts and that I should just delete her before she deactivates her old account. I kindly explain that I'm rarely on and she immediately claims she has tons more pages liked and managed to keep up with all of her friends (which I highly doubt), then logs off. So I send her a new friend request.

People like her just piss me off. I don't want to be their friend. They annoy the hell out of me, but the social ramifications of telling them to fuck off directly are too much. I don't want her going behind my back to talk about me like she does with everyone else. It's stupid. I'll have to be near her during an upcoming party, but after that I'm just going to block her and go on with my life. I've had people in my life like this before and cutting them out is just so satisfying.

Anyway, I just needed to put this where I know she won't get to it.

So, the movie meet was last night, and it was...interesting.

We got there around noon and walked around for a while, then showed up to meet people for the pre-movie shtuff. Only one person, Mayfield, showed up to do so. But he was totally awesome! We had lunch, went to our favorite shops, and talked up a storm. Then, just before the movie, we met with a couple other furs including Kenku and a few others. We chatted and went to see Frankenweenie, which was a fantastic movie. Afterwards, we ate delicious noms at Johnny Rockets.

Overall, it was smaller than I thought it would be, but really, really fun! I had a great time and I'm really sad that I won't be here for much longer. I think Wes and I are gonna try to make it to at least one of the gaming meets before we go, and try to make it up for Furthemore in April (which for some reason I thought was in January).

I know I haven't been in the community that long, but I'd really like to host a meet-up before I leave in November. I have yet to host a furry meet, but I've hosted and co-hosted several in another fandom and been to plenty more (as well as running several photoshoots at conventions). So, here's a tentative plan.

WHO: I'll probably be hosting, with my mate as an assistant.
WHAT: Meet up to doof around the mall, go see Frankenweenie, and go to dinner at Johnny Rockets afterwards.
WHEN: Saturday, October 13th 1PM - 10ish PM
WHERE: Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover, Maryland.

I can't do the meet any later than that because I'll be working on stuff for a convention (AUSA, might even host a meet/photoshoot there if there isn't one already). I think Arundel Mills will be good because a) I've hosted meet-ups there before, and b) there's tons to do! Movies, rock climbing, an arcade, tons of stores, lots of places to eat, and just soooo much to do. We'll be starting at 1PM, go around the mall and do the attractions, and then see a movie in the early evening. Afterwards, we'll be going to eat at Johnny Rockets.

WHAT TO BRING:
Money - Please remember that we are seeing a movie and going to be dinner, so make sure to have enough to buy your ticket and food (if you're eating). Additional attractions will cost more, so bring extra to be safe. I cannot and will not buy anything for you, and I can't assure anyone else will. If you don't bring money for something, just assume you won't get to do it.

Food, drink, games, etc. - Feel free to bring a simple snack or drink if you'd like. We'll be at the mall for a while, so bringing something for you or the group to snack on is encouraged (mall food can be expensive after all). You can bring regular cards or other card games to play when we're waiting or resting.

OTHER RULES:

NO FURSUITS! The mall itself does NOT like fur suits. Tails, ears, and paws are fine, but please leave your heads at home (the fake ones, anyway)!

Don't be a dick. Pretty simple rule, but it has to be stated. Don't run around, yell, or do anything inappropriate. Be civil to everyone in and out of the group. Remember, in this situation, we are the face of the furry fandom to the public. Don't give them a bad impression. If you do something stupid, even after a warning, you will be ejected from the meet.

Don't disappear. If you're leaving the group (or the event entirely), please say something to either of the organizers so we don't think you've been left behind.

Finally, I'll be updating the event with new information as it becomes available, such as what time the movie will be (sometime in the early evening).

I'm feeling really conflicted and frustrated right now in regards to tumblr.

On one hand, I love it. It's super fun and I have a lot of friends there. On the other had, it seems like I can't expect to both be popular and be able to post what I want.

If I want to draw porn or furries, I have to expect not to have many followers and to lose some when I post it.

If I want to be popular, I have to settle for drawing what's in right now and never stray from a set of agreed upon guidelines.

Bluh.

Just got back from a meet-up at the National zoo. The group was pretty big, so the mate and I split off after the start and went to see stuff by ourselves. I got a little over 100 pictures, and I'll post my favorites later after editing.

I got to see a bunch of my friends, which was cool. There was also a big artist there, but I didn't get a chance to talk to her. There's another meet next weekend, but I don't think I'll be going to that one. The mate and I can't really afford to go out much anymore since we need to save for conventions and moving in November.

I'll probably be drawing some more Sergal stuff later, probably some NSFW stuff.

I've been a lot more active on here and other fur sites recently, mostly because my mate and I have been getting more into furry stuff. I've decided to really make my own fursona instead of just using Roxana or one of my other characters. Here's a short profile:

Name: Rin
Age: 17
Height: 5'5"
Build: Chubby
Fur: Very light sky blue with black tail tip, ear tips, forearms, below the knees.
Eyes: Blue-grey
Hair: Spiky, piled bangs in the same color of her fur, tipped with black.
Other: Whiskers, black square glasses, lower canines stick out, two pairs of piercings (lower ear, upper ear).


In other news, I'm hoping to do artist alley sometime soon (within the next year or so). I've already chosen a studio name: Turn-tail Studio. I'll have furry (and non-fur) prints, as well as probably some plushes, jewelry, and other fair.

For now, I'm drawing stuff at home, watching SVU, and waiting to hang out with my mate.

Maybe I'll write these journals more often.

I've been drawing all day, so I'm taking a break.
