Fear Of Missing Out Year
General | Posted 3 years agoAs we know that in 2020, COVID-19 the nation went into lock down. As I said I had the best year that 2020 would allow. Though people consider 2020 to be their worst year, my 2014 said, "hold my beer." While 2014 did not even take the cigarette out of its mouth and keep the beer on it hand to be my worst year, my mom died in September and I got infection that landed me in the hospital for Christmas. I decided not to miss out on anything, cause you just don't know.
I went to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and always amazed how the show is done. There is a comedian who talks to the audience and warms up the crowd. They have the system so organized that people like me with mobility issues can get a seat with little trouble. The first time was back 2016, when Rudolph Giuliani was being floated as Sectatary of State. Ahh the halcyon days of youth. I assumed that Jon Batiste and Late Show Band would do music bumpers for commercial breaks. They do an entire show of music every time there is a show. They play all through the commercial breaks. If you get a chance to see it, dress warm its cold in there.
My sister's godmother gave us some money so we take a trip, we thinking about going on trip we thought about a train trip through Canada, traveling up the Pacific Coast Highway or going to Europe. We decided to go to Europe and decided to do several cities in Germany. We decided on Munich, Berlin and Amsterdam. The idea we could change our plans to other cities if there reasons like war and pestilence to change it. We did research on what we wanted to do, we each found several things that we wanted to do. We gathered more things than we could do in a week.
We rented a summer house with a pool that we went to before. Again we had a great time with BBQ and swimming. We rented the house for two weeks, so I went for one week and she had some time alone. On the day I went home, my sister had friend from Ireland and ger kids came. I took the afternoon train home. You would think it would be hard, everybody was having fun and enjoyable. Except when it was time for me to leave, it seemed the day wound down everybody seemed exhausted. So it so low energy I did not feel bad going away.
I prefer pools to going to the beach for this reason
We went to the opening of the Brooklyn Cyclones and we had a great time. We even got our picture with the mascots Sandy the Seagull and Pee Wee. My sister gushed at them "we missed so much." We are adults and the guys in the suit were to call sercurity. Everybody in the line kids and two adults without kids were in line. We went to several games and had a blast. Another thing off my annual bucket list. I went to a game by myself and got a great seat for hot dog race.
Between the innings there are various games and activities, one is the Nathan hot dog race. Three guys in hot dog costumes do a foot race, it is between mustard, ketchup and relish. There is always a joke one time mustard had a leaf blower to win the race. My seat was right above the dug-out for the race. It was a real sunny day when the hot dog race was over, I moved back into the shade. The ushers don't care, you have really good seats and your going to sit in them.
One of the things I always do is ride the Wonder Wheel while at Coney Island. I always take a swinging car, I always wonder what the point of non=swinging car is. I missed the 100 anniversary of the Wonder Wheel, something I regret. I was not going to go another year without going on it. I took in the haunted house ride Spook-a-raMy printerma. it made jump once or twice during the ride.
The thing I most proud of, I saw there was a White Castle near the Coney Island Boardwalk and did not eat there. I had a long bus trip home and eating White Castle is tempting the devil.
My printer decided it was time to die. I have this scanner since I opened this back in June 2009 and printers/scanners are expansive. I decided to wait to spend the money till after my trip to Europe. I would rather wait andsave my money for my vacation. After I got back I ordered I new printer. It did not come till November 1st and I scanned the pictures I had been doing. I have been getting the pictures ready for posting.
Also my sister's cat Fiorello https://www.deviantart.com/godzilla.....This-839356460 has passed away. It was sad but, he was getting to old to be left alone. He seemed to fall ill quickly, his grooming habits stopped and his usually snow white fur got dingy. He was never a petting cat, anytime even my sister picked him up. We would a meow of protest. I found him on a lamp electric chord and he seemed caught. I picked him without a noise. I held him and petting him to comfort him. My sister came in and knew it was time.
I went to my local Alamo movie house for a Thor marathon It showed Thor, Thor: Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder which I was there from breakfast to lunch. The Alamo was in a mall so when I entered the Mall at 6A.M. all you heard was the security officers confronted people walking in. You people like me going saying going to the Alamo. It was a blast.
Also later at the Alamo they showed what they called the Star Trek Genesis Trilogy that was Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek III The Search for Spock and Star Trek IV The Voyage Home and it was a blast. Though it happened on the same day that Nichelle Nichols passed away. It was years since I watched the films, there was things I forgot and enjoyed.
Then we watched the news carefully as the war in the Ukraine, about our trip to Europe. Then we did go, and it went well. We took Singapore Air business class to Germany. Holy Mackerel! Business class was great, you have an individual pod/seat . https://s3-ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.....3/DSC03340.jpg When we entered the and we chose plane we had to go to different aisles. You could raise a partition if you don't want to see the person next to you. The flight attendant uniforms https://th.bing.com/th/id/R.502574f.....ImgRaw&r=0 are unique and give good service. It was so different. They had table clothes for our seat tray, I had never seen anything like this. I had Lamb Shanks. It was worth the price, and they made our pods as beds. The level of service was amazing. We slept a little bit as our plane flew to Frankfurt. This flight was continuing onto Singapore, I wonder how that flight was and how long that was.
We took a train to Munich, the German trains had racks where you drop your luggage and go to your seat. The train was crowded and we slept more on the train. The trains had Wifi and ports to charge our phones. So we keep in touch with the world. My weather app was to tell where my phone was and was giving the weather for Germany.Viktualienmarkt
Our first hotel was in Munich was in walking distance from the train station. All of our hotels were Mariott's and it was a nice hotel. We went out to dinner and we chose a Greek resturant. I had something called Inferno Souvlaki and it was delicious. Also it stayed down or heart burn. We decided to have breakfast not at the hotel. We went to local restaurants and had things like a breakfast cheese and meat platter. The first day we took a hop on hop off bus tours just to get a great overview of Munich. We had a pleasant lunch and tour of Munich. We went to to top of the clock tower of city hall and got a great view of Munich. There was a cheaper tower trip, but the city hall has an elevator. The other had only stairs. We wondered the Viktualienmarkt and its various shops this was only day that rained. We were there for the Glockenspeil show and mechanical dancers, dueling knights and parade. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsfxTyhCzr8 I was protecting my feet as much as possible. So I was sitting on a bench as the knights duel. I was like so they were going to pass each other again. No the Bavarin knight was triumphant and look down at me. "Show you stupid American tourist sitting on a wet bench." For dinner we went to the famous beer hall Hofbrauhaus https://www.tripsavvy.com/hofbrauha.....aurant-1519959 and this was the most touristy of destination meals. When we got there, the bouncers were outside with an English tourist drunk on the ground with ine shoe off. People are warned not to go here during Oktoberfest because it is more like spring break. We had gone after this. The beer and food was good, though this was the only place were the servers seemed curt. I think it is from dealing with serious drunks and such.
You can tell the tourists from the residents of Munich, the tourists were watching the Glockenspeil spellbound and the citizens just rushing around through the crowd. They are like "the Bavarian knight wins what a surprise." They were like me in Manhattan, "yes the Empire is tall. Now get out of my way."
One of the sights was the Angel of Peace https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angel_of_Peace statue in Munich that was put up in 1896 and the angel decided to take a long holiday on 1910 and you can't believe her shock when she got back in 1950. She has not taken a sick day since.
The next day we took a day trip to Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany and called the Top of Germany. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zugspitze We took a train and bus because of track work. The bus drove through scenic countryside. We took a train and cable car to the top of the mountain. There is a glacier which we visited. My sister walked on the glacier and I did not. The thing that impressed me was the size of the mountains. Clouds seemed to be trapped along the sides of the Alps. There was majestic and foreboding at the same time.
There was snow at the top of the mountain, it was about 50 degrees in Munich. Zugspitze borders Austria and there is a cable that goes into Austria. Before the European Union there was a passport control and currency exchange if you want to go into Austria. Some people brought their dogs to Zugspitze. Riding the cable car your ears would pop on the down and up. I was exhausted by the time the end of the day.
I decided to go back the hotel room and rest.
.
My sister wanted to do a museum free night, where the museums are opened late night. I was so tired that I almost took a cab from the train station to the hotel about three blocks. I brought a sandwich and had dinner in the room. I was so achy that I used a rolling chair to go from the bed to the bathroom. My sister went to museums and it was really crowded. She was perfectly safe and had no problem traveling.
I recovered and we than caught the train to Berlin. We had a long trip on the train and had service at our seats. The food was good. The Marriott was really for Business travelers and quite nice. The room had a walk-in shower that had a step up that felt that I should yell "Geronimo" as get out. My sister suggested we have a drink in the lobby and then I discovered her friend who was also worked in book publishing was there. He was going to the major book fair in Frankfurt.
He took us to a restaurant that went to, it made a roasted chicken that so good. It was not in any cause but it so good. It was so juicy and tender, can't explain how they do it. Then the three of us took bus tour in Berlin. It was interesting to see some of the old Berlin wall landmarks. This is one of the things I wished could have seen, the old Berlin Wall and flying on the Concorde. It was interesting to see the differences between east and west Berlin. One of the things I found was the walk/don't walk symbols. https://th.bing.com/th/id/R.bcd9eb4.....ImgRaw&r=0 They called Ampelmannchen and they are really cute. Something appealed to me and a lot of other people including making statues of them. https://c8.alamy.com/comp/RGGYAJ/am.....any-RGGYAJ.jpg We went to the East German Museum, https://www.ddr-museum.de/en which detail what life was like under communism. You tend forgot how much that government tried to control their people's lives. While in there you would what sounded like Darth Vader and we hard ever so often. It was a display on troops of East Germany including a gas mask. There was a sim of driving the East German car Trabant, there is a tour where you drive one around Berlin. https://www.introducingberlin.com/t.....20unique%20car You are warned that if you never driven a manual transmission do NOT even try this. We had dinner in the revolving restaurant in the Berlin TV Tower and it was an East German achievement. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fernsehturm_Berlin The restaurant originally spun once an hour, at the end of the rotation it was time to leave. Now its turns twice an hour. The food and drinks were delicious, it was sort of my birthday treat. The decor was interesting and nice. https://talesofabackpacker.com/wp-c.....-1024x768.jpeg
The nest day we went to the Reichstag, we could not got a tour. https://th.bing.com/th/id/R.75a2a6b.....ImgRaw&r=0 There was too many people and we could see the outside. We went to the Jewish Memorial https://www.tripsavvy.com/thmb/9S6u.....0/filters:fill(auto,1)/DSC_0034-5c66ec7546e0fb000194d619.jpg and the Bradenburg Gate https://cdn.wallpapersafari.com/54/9/uPSGrX.jpg then we decided to take it easy and doing some things by ourselves. We had a lovely dinner in a local restaurant. Our last night in Berlin was fun.
We took a train to Amsterdam which was a different rail road, it was a little chaotic and no crew around. We had assigned seats somebody was in one of seats and seemed a little slow to get out of our seats. Once we got into our seats and things were easy.
Our hotel in Amsterdam was nice, we went to what seemed to be a tourist with restaurants. There was a lot of head shops, a casino, and a supermarket. We decided to grabbed something to have for breakfast for us. Then we went to the Van Gogh Museum by tram. https://www.vangoghmuseum.nl/nl One gets a real feel of the life of Vincent Van Gogh and the tollit on his brother Theo Van Gogh.
At the musuem was an exhibit on artist Gustav Klimt,https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustav_Klimt an artist whose art resemble pop art of the sixties, https://www.overstockart.com/blog/w.....5/10/adele.jpg which was interesting. I told my sister how it seemed that this was pop art and their was asign that said the art authorities did not approve of his style. That it was too modern and out there.
We took a canal boat tour with wine and cheese which was fun and informative. https://www.viator.com/tours/Amster.....e/d525-75227P6 They were very helpful to people with limited mobility. Then we went to the Anne Frank house which was informative. https://www.annefrank.org/en/ One wonders if things went differently would she have been journalist or writer she seemed to have the skills. If the Germans had chosen wisely would Anne Frank be just an unknown housewife.
I could not go up to the hiding space of the Franks, I went around and got the place after the hiding space. I tried just did not and I got the idea of what it was like to hiding . The museum was nice and informative. Still very sad and heartbreaking at the same time.
The next day we went to the Houseboat Museum, https://houseboatmuseum.nl/bezoeken/?lang=nl after the war there were many houseboats and people still on these boats. Now the houseboats are attached to sewer system now, just imagine thousands of houseboats just dumping their sewer into the river. Aah, the sweet aroma in the summer. These houseboats range totally utilitarian to little floating mcmansions. It was fun and informative.
Then we went to the Cat Museum, a house for art about cats, which is a tourist trap. https://www.kattenkabinet.nl/?optio.....=1&lang=nl We knew what we in for. It was enjoyable. We enjoyed ourselves with everything. My sister wanted to have some of famous pancakes. So we decided to go before the train, except the restaurant was opened and it would 15 minutes before we could served food. That was too close for comfort for our train. So we grabbed something in the train station.
We took the train to Frankfurt again a little chaotic but once we in our seats everything was fine. Our last night in Germany we went to Roemerberg Square for dinner and a little sightseeing. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attract.....urt_Hesse.html We could not travel too far, but it was enjoyable and fun.
Going home with flew again Singapore Air in Economy plus, you get more leg room in the seat. This is important for an eight hour flight and again it was enjoyable. At the airport I was called for added security screening. I think that it was done at random, it seemed to not directed at me. While on line some Australian tourist was standing too close and talking on his phone. Luckily he was not near is on the plane.
My sister and I decided to get to get a dog we adopted a rescue dog. We wanted to adopted an older dog rather than to train a puppy. We have adopted Maya, a Portuguese pendengo, and she is very attached to my sister. Since I live in the building, we can share responsibility for walking her.
I will post pictures of her when she settles in.

WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME
General | Posted 4 years agoWell I have completed the posting of all of works of
gagherup, a missing artist who did wonderful photomanipulations and I had have several commissions including some more obscure artistes like Mary Tamm https://www.furaffinity.net/view/37467420/
These are all of the pictures I have downloaded. Gagherup just disappeared and shut down his gallery was deleted. I still don't know why this happened. I am posting these works as my little way to preserve great work. https://www.deviantart.com/godzilla.....rtist-gagherup
I have been lucky that none of my family or friends have serious cases of Covid-19, I finally got my vaccine shots in time for me to see "Godzilla vs Kong" in the theaters. I had travel very far in Brooklyn to get them. Living in Brooklyn is like in a feudal system, you rarely travel to other parts of Brooklyn. I live in Bay Ridge and had to travel to Canarsie High School. Maybe because it was further in the process and all of the kinks in the system were fixed. It was totally smooth and efficient.
Being in a movie was wonderful, I could not get tickets for opening day for Godzilla vs. Kong and I watched the film at my sister's house with huge TV screen, we nicknamed the Jumbotron. So when I saw in the movies, I devote just watching the special effects. How to describe the final picture, well if you came human drama, it is not your cup of tea. But if you a movie where a giant monkey and a giant lizard beat the stuffing out each other. Bingo this your movie. The movie was able to keep the scale of the monsters in the viewers mind.
I am still wearing my mask at least in the stores, but I am not wearing on the street.
We went to home opening game of the Brooklyn Cyclones, my sister was on four day work schedule. It was a week day game and if traffic was terrible and we would not have anything to interfere with her job. It was nice to be back at the game. We were sitting in section 21 of the stadium, all the way down by away's team pitching pen. The small crowd allowed to hear the fan's raunting the away team. It was kind of nice, though we could not do a wavehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gg10qGJ2zCg
I asked if my sister saw the Cyclones' mascots Sandy the Seagull and Pee Wee I did not see them. At that moment it was annouced that by Section 21 was where Sandy and Pee Wee was going to be so fans could get photos taken. We squealed with delight at this.
I am on other websites like a Furaffinity which was approaching my ten year anniversary and I decided to do something special for it. I decided to do something I was working on that, I let scanned items sit. Unfortunately during this time my computer crashed literally to the floor and the screen cracked. Then the wound on my foot reopened and it is consuming my fiances. My sister had a spare Chrome book that my sister had, it does not have a down loadable for my printer. I had some art of mine already loaded in stash, it seems that it will be a while before I can afford to recover my files on my other computer. I have a backlog of arts not scanned on my computer.
Hopefully I will be able to afford a replacement soon.

10 years on DA
General | Posted 6 years agoBeing my Tenth year on Deviantart, I decided to something special for the occasion. I redrew some of my earlier pieces, some were done by poll and others were done as personal choices. Sometimes you should not do something and see the difference in my style. My technical skills has improved and how just comparing the Redrawn Gallery, https://www.deviantart.com/godzilla.....8438526/redraw I put the original with new picture. One I choose for my self was a pictured titled Daria 1999 https://www.deviantart.com/godzilla.....1999-128204307 and the new version of the picture with my vastly improved style . https://www.deviantart.com/godzilla.....1999-807439627 I can't tell the difference. Oh wait, I opened my eyes. Besides being able to do characters , I have added backgrounds to my pictures. Some are very simple to elaborate backgrounds. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/32460325/
One of the things I've done is Commission some photo manipulations by :GagHerUp of various celebrities, I choose some of the ones lesser known but still gorgeous. He does great work I choose actresses like Mary Tamm https://www.deviantart.com/gagherup.....Tamm-755084542 and Joyce DeWitt https://www.deviantart.com/gagherup.....ties-775002793 of Three's Company Some of them are wonderfully obscure but I liked them enough to want see them gagged. You can the see these damsels https://www.deviantart.com/godzilla.....-celebrity-did
I now have 6,000 deviations minus the ones taken down by the Cthulhu like admins of DA. I have more watches than I ever thought possible, and some of them are very enthusiastic about my work. I have people make repeated requests to me. This was just a hobby I do for fun.
My foot wound has finally healed and getting to do things I wanted to do like going to the movies. It is more of operation because to protect my foot I use a knee scooter and have to park it out of people's way. I seen Godzilla King of the Monsters which I loved it. My sister who was with me, she has more knowledge of Godzilla tangentially from me also enjoyed it. I saw it again in mt local theater and enjoyed it again. Caught Avengers Endgame which I also enjoyed and liked how they ended it.
I like Captain Marvel and Shazam which for DC Universe movie was vey good. Shazam had fun and laughs, especially the Shazam family scene, finally someone does not put the best joke in the trailer. I laughed out loud at this scene. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_.....;v=CWuzMFt-Nqw
I went to American Museum of Natural History and saw to special exhibits of Unseen Oceans and T-Rex. In the T-Rex exhibit there was a video loop of various T-Rex forms and ancestors. I went early to avoid the kids. Kids were around the screen as a T-Rex staring out at us, the T-rex dropped its head to look at smaller ancestor of it. It looked like the T-Rex was reacting to the kids. It was really find and they showed how the developed their working theories of how these dinosaurs lived.
The video for Unseen Oceans showed various sea life like Whale Sharks, various rays, Blue and Sperm whales, and a Giant Squid which attacks us. Then the Sperm Whale came back and ate it. Which some kid remarked, "Good, it was asking for it."
I will going to the Met for Apollo photography exhibit, I watched some of CBS showing the old films of the Apollo launch and landing the commercials were priceless.

My Health and Future Plans
General | Posted 7 years agoI had surgery on March 9th and everything went well and now I can go back to work. I feel that it is healing nicely, not glad to have to go back to work. But I can't paid forever. I should be ready for some summer vacation. It looks very good for healing up.
I am approaching 900,000 pageviews and I decided to expand myself and I am looking into starting a Patreon Page where I can do things as a way to make a supplement income and I am NOT abandoning too many good memories . Plus I don't think I could live off the income for this. It will be be place to show new characters and other things and fetishes. Then I would do packs that you can sell on sites likes Oronjo where DrewGardner: and Natsuko-Hiragi: sets of pictures. Again this is a plan I have nothing is finalize and I looking into it. I am working on doing stories with my OC's and Fan Fiction. You can see the start of this with the detailed origins I am giving to these characters.

What is Happening in My Life
General | Posted 7 years agoI am going to have surgery on my foot on March 9th. I had a bone growth that caused my old foot wound open up. It will be easier than the last surgery which was complicated to close the wound and lenghten my tendon. It is day surgery I will be home the same day.
There was nothing I could have done or not done to not cause this to happen. When it did happen was good, I got through the holidays. I visited my cousin Anne who came for my worst Christmas ever. She made Lamb Stew and came to the hospital I was in.
My sister who I joked that is owned by me carry around Rickshaw thought about buying a stationary bike, I did not want to invest in this for me. She is buying it so she can use if she could not get to the gym.
Luckily we are procrastinators, if we were on the Titanic we will debating whether we should put on our life jackets as Jack and Rose are balance on the stern of the boat. My sister would have believed that her purchase this bike and wound opened.
I have been a little unfocused doing pictures I am still drawing pageview celebrations group shots are taking longer. I was a little unfocused on that.
After the surgery, I need to keep weight off it. I got the permission for the leave from work and maybe the surgery could have happened on Feb 16th. I told my doctor that I was available.
Me and my sister were watching TV and an ad for Black Panther Film. It looked great and I said when is Black Panther is opening. It was opening on Feb 16th and I was like, it will be in the theatres in about three weeks.
So it was at least I saw and Black Panther and it was fantastic. To quote my favorite critic MovieBob Marvel felt confidant enough to have a badguy named Killmonger (my aside if you thought Dr Doom was too subtle) I could have watch two hours of Black Panther and his sister in the lab.
I posted all of my completed works and you can see the dates on the pictures stuff has been here for a while.

My Birthday Vacation
General | Posted 8 years agoI will not work on my Birthday, this is non-negotiable demand for me. I will call into work dead, "yes, I'm on the way to the morgue. I won't be coming into work today." Then I will upgraded to living the next day.
I could not take a full vacation, but I took someays with my 4 day work week to get a really long weekend. I had five days off and I had a ball. One of the bad things about living New York, you can the MOMA, next year. You are always here and you can later go to them. As an example of this, if I ever went to the Whitney Museum before, it left zero impression on me. I love going to these museums and I enjoy doing these alones. So if I not into something I can move on, when I went to the Cloisters I was like Wow! Look at this Madonna! Wow. Another Madonna. Wow, another Madonna. Wow, still another Madonna. I am not a snob I also like the Madame Tassaud's Museum haunted house in NYC. They turned down the lights and cover the staues in sheets. They also hired actors who could sit still, till you approach and whisper "we are going to get you." Slowly move followed by my best impression of Dr Zachary Smith of Lost In Space https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wz2_d6zWDhg
I was off from October 25th till October 29th and it seemed I was away from work for weeks.
I went to my foot doctor and my wound which was a 13 cm wound to nothing. It looks like a bad cut scab. Then I went to Riff Trax https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jea34_tzcwA Doctor Who The Five Doctors https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWwJLqjoCfc it was hysterical. But on my vacation they did Night of the Living Dead https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRu1caRe8c4
and saw last year I saw them do Carnival Of Souls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WuO6JL2GxjU both were very funny. I still jump a few times when the zombies attack. It was is one of the best zombie attack movies. The documentary feel of it as they realize what is really going on.
It was thing to think what would I do in this situation, like in the farm house on Night of the Living Dead. I would move all of the food into the basement and barricade any room that I was not using to give me time to move my fat ass into the basement.
On Thursday I went to the movies I saw My Little Pony the Movie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIv_ConaZ1c and Geostorm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ey8wmNtwzoI and enjoyed both of them. I know that Geostorm was going to be stupid, but it was a pop corn movie. If you HBO for Game of Thorns and this film is showing it is fun. The weather The I ent to NY Botonical Gardens for the artist Chihuly www.nybg.org/event/chihuly-2/ before it closed. I wanted to balance my walking events with my sitting events, I only recently recovered from my surgery. I meet my sister at Grand Central and took Metro North to the Botanical Gardens. The Chihuly artwork was lit up and beautifully done. It was nice and pleasant and crowded as it was closing. It was easy traveling for my it seemed that the MTA was cooperating with me. There is an express bus from Manhattan to Brooklyn where I live and it seemed perfectly timed for trips to the movies.
Then Friday I did something I was looking forwarded to for ages. I walked the Brooklyn Bridge and continued the cheap tour of New York. Basically I walk the Brooklyn Bridge on beautifully clear day and it was crowded. I think the fact that the pedestrian walkway is in the center of the bridge above the cars giving some of the clearest views. I did it without stopping, except to take pictures and not be in other people's pictures. It made me feel fantastic to do that then I took the bus to South Ferry, ate in the Frances Tavern for lunch. Then took the Staten Island Ferry and then Staten Island Rail service to take a bus back to Brooklyn. The cheap tour of New York. It was really fun.
Next year I am planning to do a trip to Washington DC, then eventually Europe. I started by getting my passport renewed.
On my actually Birthday I went to Cosmos soccer game at the Brooklyn Cyclones stadium. Me and my sister went to Luna Park
and did some rides the Tickler (a roller coaster that car turns so you are face sideways, backwards, and forwards as you go through the normal dips of a roller coaster), the Electrical Slide, and others. It felt so good to do these rides, I did not go on the Cyclone because the last time it made my back ache. I am too old for the Cyclone.
The Cosmos were playing Puerto Rico, I was torn that the Cosmos were the New York team. It was the last game for Carlos Mendes he was retiring after this season. I hoped that he score a goal even if the Cosmos lost. I felt that it would be a nice end of his career. The Cosmos won the game 5-2 and Carlos Mendes scores a goal. It was a fun game and we were there for fan appreciation night, we would have been embarrass if we won something. We would have taken it, but still felt bad. The next time and there will be a next time we are going to sit in the blechers there was a fan band playing in the stands and it seemed to be a pleasant event. When ever the Cosmos score a goal they would release smoke. It was so much fun.
Finally it seems things are finally settling down and on good path for a change.

WHERE I HAVE BEEN
General | Posted 8 years agoThat sniper at the All Star Game was a blessing in disguise--Moe the Bartender.
Things have changed in my life for the better, though it was scary.
2016 sucked as a year, I was laid off from my job. I was moving out of my mothers apartment because it was not convenient for the subway and the bus. I lived on 74th street and like 2nd Ave. The nearest bus was 69th Street and 2nd Ave and the nearest subway was 77th Street and 4th Ave. It was never good for the bus and subway. My sister has a huge apartment and we decided to live together for a little while. Eventually I would move into a studio apartment in her building.
Then the move went off a hitch, for several months we live together. I got another job that was located in Brooklyn. It was just as convenient for traveling to and from. My sister had a dream that her neighbor who was old and had a live in nurse with her. My sister hoped that eventually she would move into assisted living and we sell my mom's apartment and buy that one. The selling of my mothers apartment went off better than we hoped. Somebody offered our asking price after one open house. Well the same apartment wanted opened on the fourth floor she lives on the sixth floor. We took it. I took some things that my sister did not want like a Titanic shower curtain. It is a series three portholes on an angle with one of them underwater.
Then for Easter my sister's friend gave deep bowls that I use for my cereal. As I told her the best not chocolate present I received on Easter. Then I started feeling sick and not hungry. Then I was feeling tired and not hungry at all, on Thursday I was going to the foot doctor for wound care. I was totally weak and looking horrible and ashen. My sister thought I should go to me primary care doctor. I felt so bad and I could not force on food down. I decided to go to the hospital emergency room. I decided to take an ambulance, I did not feel strong to walk down from the fourth floor to the street without falling down. I doubted my sister could get me off the floor if I fell.
One thing I am glad living in a major city is that police, fire, and medical emergency have still everything, I am not most serious case. I was taken to the hospital, I stilled hoped that I would get a shot and sent home. As George Carlin once quiped, "I was treated and detained." My foot wound had gotten infected and it spread to one of my foot bones. I was so tired of this wound interfering with my life, I would have happen to amputate the whole damn foot. My sister help me out a lot not just financially, she also saw the hideous open wound on my foot. She changed the dressing on my wound vac which helps a wound heal. I hope I never have to deal with my sister the same way she had to deal with me.
Eventually I was enough to be sent home again I moved into my sister's apartment, I was still weak and told to keep off the foor as much as possible. My sister got a knee scooter for me. So I could go around the apartment without any problem. I took one of the bed side urinals and my sister had to empty in the morning. My sister was ready when the nurse for antibiotics at home, J heard my sister tell them, "is that an IV pole? We already have one. I don't want that in my house." She accompany me to the various doctors. I use the knee scooter during this illness and kt stresses it is not a toy. The first time I was using it on the street. While going home I took a turn more sharply and I fell off and crashed to the ground.
I was sleeping a lot and easily, eating was still off. I have diabetes and high blood pressure my diet is bland and boring. My sister would prepare my lunch and bring to me. Anything to keep weight off. I was tired and hard to focus so I was not drawing at all. Eventually I started drawing. but my scanner was in my apartment and laptop was with me. True I was was only two floors away, but it might as well be in California the way I felt. So I started drawing just individual characters.
My sister had planned a vacation trip before I got sick, she hired a nurse to go with me to doctor's appointment. The nurse from the old lady across the hall came in daily to check if there was anything. I needed from a high shelf or anything.. My sister made me up a whole bunch of meals for me. Because of high blood pressure they were some of the blandest meals ever. This work out for both of us, eventually my sister had a great time in Calgary, Canada and she visited a sled dog camp, where they don't give the treats for doing things right. They got super affectionate with the animals and they return it. The dogs were super friendly and unfortnately it was July, you could have gone on sled ride with the dogs.
The antibiotics did a number on my system eventually that I was nauseous and vomiting just after eating. It again was not pleasant for my sister. They took my off the antibiotics. Then my foot doctor did the surgery to remove the infected bone and close the wound. This went off without any problems, it was an outpatient surgery. I went home he same dayand was back in bed. I was given Oxycontin for the pain, fotunately I deaden nerves in my feet I never had much pain. I only Tylenol for the spasms of pain I had.
I was on disability during this time and still had my job. That was a major relief, at least I had a job and health insurance. The wound has healed to the point where it seems to be a cut or bad sunburn. My main goal is for it to heal up and get back to travel. I always wanted to go back to Europe, I wanted to take some of those river tours. My plans were for this year was to go on one of those river tours either in Germany, Belguim, or France. It is sort of tour travel up the river stop at various towns and do somethings there. There is a company called Viking Tours and they do a river tour in China that I would love to do. My mom said that I would only see what the Chinese Government wants me to see. I replied that is what I want to see this trip. I want to see the pagodas, dragon dancers, Xialon monks, the Great Wall, Forbidden City, and such. I don't want to see "real" China, anymore than people coming to the United States want to trailer parks where meth labs are.
I though that maybe I would take to Washington DC and go to the Smithsonian, Lincoln Memorial, Congress, and maybe the White House (even with the current resident). That has been put on hold. With foot healing my plan is for towalk the Brooklyn Bridge around my birthday in October. It looks like another staycation. Another advantage of living in New York. I have always around my birthday I try to go somewhere cultural museums, places that I go to-NEXT YEAR. One year I went to the Cloisters Museum https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cloisters and I like going alone the first time. So I can fly through what does not interest me. It is like Ooh a Madonna, there's another Madonna statue, a Madonna statue, another one. I also do silly things, my sister complained about one of her friends' birthday plan of going to a bar and get a pizza, I on my 50th birthday went to the Intrepid Museum and try to join Star Fleet. There was a Star Trek Exhibit that was also a test to join Star Fleet, including the infamous Kobayashi Maru test https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobayashi_Maru and it was a blast. I had sweater that mustard color of Capt. Kirk's shirt so I was dress like Kirk without being dressed as Kirk.
I gave up going to the movies just because there were films I sort of wanted to see. I watched Kong Skull Island, The Lego Batman Movie, and even Wonder Woman. I hoped that WW was going to be good, youtuber movie reviewer MovieBob (it so rare to find a movie reviewer that has my taste in movies and I did) and some of our cultural issues It was several weeks later that I decided to go see it in the theatres. It was a choice of Spiderman or Wonder Woman, I chose Wonder Woman. Everything I heard about said it was good. I judge movies on how much I pay for them. Bruce Willis has a dubious distinction in my movie going experience he was in the worst movie that I saw for free Hudson Hawk and the worst movie I paid for Striking Distance. In IStriking Distance a serial killer is targeting the old girlfriends of Bruce Willis, Willis throws down a newspaper with a story of a girl's body being dragged from the river. My sister lean over and whispered, "Prom date." Sweet Jesus it was his prom date and we exploded into laughter. We got shushed by three other film goers. In Hudson Hawk the best came not from the movie, Danny Aiello escaped from death trap and was saying "I can't believe it." Someone in my screening shouted, "Neither can we!"
I am posting the pictures I have completed and finished the details.

WHAT HAVE BEEN UP TO
General | Posted 9 years agoIt has been a long while since I wrote a journal.
I spent New Year's Eve watching "STAR WARS: The Force Awakens." I was going to spend to ring 2016 either in my sister's apartment or my own depending when I got out. I made it home in time to watch the ball drop.
For Easter me and my sister went to the Church of St. Joseph in Greenwich Village. It has a choir from NYU so the music is wonderful. The church is much simple designs that is still beautiful in a quiet subdued way. It was a nice church. We want for brunch and I always have someting that I don't make myself. I had steak and eggs. Then we went to Zootopia. We both smiled at the fact we went to a film starring a rabbit on Easter.
We went to the Columbia vs. Peru soccer game. This was great fun. It was in the Meadowlands. We went straight from work and made with plenty of time to spare. We had great seats and could see the whole field. I think that TV distorts the size of the field. It seems smaller in person. Still I could not run from one end to the other without fainting. We have a large Columbian community and none too shabby Peruvian Community.
We enjoy the game where to really evenly match teams. The fans were fun and boisterous. The fans chanted things, I have not a single clue as what they were saying. When the game started somebody release balloons in Columbia yellow. In the second half some Fans of Peru were chanting something. The Columbia fan seating in fronts kept staring behind us giving them the stink eye.
It was the sour look I get when people mention the New England Patriots or Boston Red Sox. The fan looked like that was fighting words. I wanted to tell them enjoy the game, let security have their hands full with crowd control.
Nothing happened but it is slightly distrubing. Columbia eventually won in a shoot out.
The only advantage I have is that I walk with wound boot and a cane. Everybody at the stadium were very kind. They directing me and my sister to the elavator and sped us to the train. The only good thing about my ordeal, I am still working on the requests.
I went to my sister's friend for Fourth of July BBQ. That is one of the things I like to do during the summer. Go a baseball game (minor league cause I am so close to the Brooklyn Cyclones at least) or a major league Game. The BBQ was fun good people and good food.
I had a lot of good food including my sister's vegetable skewers. I mean at BBQ is vegetable skewers. I ate a bratwurst, at least two hot dogs, and two hamburgers. Yes, I ate all that. I really enjoyed this much.
A person forgot his wallet/backpack, it was a huge thing to forgot. We were leaving and took the wallet to them at the train station. We told we found the wallet, but the money was gone.
I did go to 2 plays one was "Noises Off" which a nice screw ball comedy, it was a play with in a play. The first act was a dress rehearsal, which the "director" walking in the "empty" audience. Me and my sister from her Godmother who gave it to us. We were in the orchestra level. It was fun, the second act is matinee which was described as old age pensioners in the theater. We and the rest of the audience roared at that one.
A nice screw ball comedy.
I think it works better as a play, it's the idea of being in a theater seeing the nut and bolts of putting on a play. A silly look but a fun play.
The other play was "Disaster the Musical" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disaster!_(musical) which we were both excited by. If you grew up in seventies, disaster movies were something you watched. The musical used songs of the age as plot points. The plot a floating casino is beset by a volcano which causes an earthquake and gets hit by a tidal wave. Then an attack by sharks.
The song Hot Stuff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IdEhvuNxV8
which was used by the volcanologist to see if the ground was under stress from a crack in the earth and hot stuff would be in the water. The crooked owner of the casino tells kitchen staff that the kitchen is not working and they can serve cold foods, he tells them to ignore safety and get hot stuff out of the kitchen.
This number was worth the entire price of the ticket.
It had the tropes of these movies, the woman and man who broke up because she wanted a career. Seriously this was a cliche of these films. An elderly couple who one of them is dying, a woman with kids twin one of needs insulin. The disaster specialist with a tragic past who tries to warn people. Of course a bunch of people who are not long for the world.
There is always someone who has a useless skill outside this situation which comes in handy. In the Poseidon Adventure there was a boy who love ships and knew where the thinnest part of the hull, knowledge that is valuable in the capsized ship. In the film When Time Ran Out, there a pair of kids who trapped across from a river of lava. Luckily there is an old tight rope performer who can walk across the ruins of foot bridge.
The play had a running gag of a mother with twin brother and sister who was in love with the crooked owner played one actor. He wore a wig when playing his sister and a baseball cap when playing the brother.
If you want to see some of disaster movies then to see the tropes the best is the Poseidon Adventure. It simple and self contained. For the big disaster with an all star cast it would be the Towering Inferno or Earthquake.
We saw Earthquake in Sensusound which made the chairs vibrate. The film follows a deverse set of characters that survive an earthquake, the various problems and perils it causes, and a flood when the Mulholland Dam goes. It has human drama of Charlton Heston torn between his drunken wife and his mistress.
Even as a kid, I knew enough not to get into an elevator during an earthquake. There was a scene where people fight to get into an elevator, it does not end well. There is a final scene where people are trapped in underground garage in aftershock. Charlton Heston goes down into the sewer and break through the sewer.
Of course there when the dam goes it floods the sewers. I thought they really did not save that many. Then watching it again, there were 80 people trapped in there and well the flood hits. It looks like about 20 or 30 people were washed away. Sucks for them, they did better than I thought.
One of my favorite scenes is during the Earthquake, man standing on his pouch with a cigarette in his mouth. Some one yells turn off the gas. He acknowledges the request and turns to go back into his house, with the cigarette STILL IN HIS MOUTH. He enters the house and BOOM! I was still a kid and thought damn that was a dumb way to die.
There was a time that they showed Earthquake on TV, it was divided over two nights with some deleted scenes. Plus some scenes of a couple flying back from Hawaii to meet Charlton Heston's architect character. Their plane survives trying to land during the earthquake. The pilots keep their passengers up to date. It was depressing announcements, including the flooding of Los Angeles. It was like this:
"This is your captain, the rule of law is gone from Los Angeles. Cannibalism is rampant and the living envy the dead."
If I was pilot I would lie to my passengers that I had no information. That groud control is busy trying to get all the planes in the LAX area down safety.

WHY I HAVE NOT POSTED NEW ART
General | Posted 9 years agoMy computer is not charging. I am taking it to Tech Geeks at Best Buy. I have gotten 2 different opinions about the problem one was the outlet did not charge my computer or the mother board was corrupted. I trust the people at Best Buy. Here's hoping.
CHRISTMAS CHEER AND THE BLAHS
General | Posted 10 years agoI have not been as productive as I wanted to be. I am not sad or depressed, but maybe drawing is in the case of the Blahs. I should draw, I had lots of idea for Christmas. Just could not work the gumption or will to do it.
I think it is delayed sadness over my mom's death. She died last year and then I had medical emergency and ended in the Hospital, My Update on My Health, and was in the Hospital for Christmas and New Year. Suckiest Christmas ever. Maybe this a delayed reaction to being in the hospital. My mom loved the holiday season and planning parties. One of the things I did was decorate my apartment for Christmas, I wanted to have my tree up. I had my sister and friend for a little party. For awhile it did not seem to happen, they both agree to come. I then had a scheme to travel downtown Brooklyn to the Target Store to buy the appretrizers I was serving. I would get up and be on an early bus and be there before the crowds show up. My mother's genes for unrealistic expectations and planning came out. Then Luckily my dad's genes for worrying the small things and said to sit down. I then decided to my guest would have to make due with the things I could get at my local Supermarket.
These two are the most easy going people, if they showed up and I broke my family cook book, the take out menus, they would have been just as happy. The menu for my little party was pigs in a blanket (cocktail hot dogs in dough YOU ARE NOT AMERICAN IF YOU DON'T LIKE THEM), jalopeno chream cheese poppers,, potato skins with bacon, bbq chicken, and burrito snack bites. All store bought and delicious. It was a nice little party. I had loaded my Christmas Albums on my computer ranging from Big 80's Christman with The Waitresses "Christmas Wrapping" Trans-Siberian Rail Road, Deam Martin, Celine Dion, and Dian Krall. I even put the Bob Rivers Comedy album with the "Twelve Pains of Christmas" and Dr Demento's comedy album. I plan to make a mix song list, again my ambitions were not up to that. So I just loaded all of the songs I wanted andlet that sucker rip. The next day I had ny cousins Jean and Anne back after brunch. They were two of the people who visited me last year. They loved what I was doing to my apartment.
My sister's friend had a colonoscopy and my sister went with her to help her home after the operation. I got a text from my sister that said "CALL ME." She had locked herself out of the apartment with her Feo cat in the hallway. She lefted a voice mail that you can hear the cat howling in the echo prone hallway. I had a room mate for the night, my sister got the keys for her apartment from me. It is not a good Holiday Season for this cat.
Then I started getting the trolls hating on me. Calling me a prevert and worse, this happens when you are the weirdo with fetish. They seemed to be coming in a group to me, one after the other. When did I become so popular to warrant this, then people showed that there was rant against me. That explained everyting, here is the rant, someone did nine minutes on my art.
I hope your Holidays are safe for everybody. Otherwise I am well, not depressed or sad just kinda of Blah

Happy Thanksgiving
General | Posted 10 years agoWhen this Thanksgiving we decided to go out to a restaurant with my sister's friend Laura and her brother Rich. Laura and Rich recently lost their father and we are still recovering from my mom's death and my illness. We went to a restaurant called "The Farm." I avoided any form of poultry before today. I figured that there was a 70% chance I would have turkey. There was three meals, a turkey dinner, a fish dinner and a vegetarian meal. I had the vegetarian, no I had the turkey. I had a tuna appetizer which was excellent. The meals was so good, we all needed this the four of us did not want to cook It was terrific and very relaxed meal.
It is everything that we needed. It was nice meal and good company.
I saw The Martian and I had the pleasure of reading the book which has a back story that writer's live for. It was in the slush pile, for those in the non publishing world. The slush pile is where unsolicited manuscripts are gathered. They are horrible, badly written and plotted. They make Vogon poetry look good by comparison. The book was discovered and published and it became a hit. The book was written by an engineer and a lot of technical jargon on how to survive on Mars. The film was a wonderful adaption keeping enough of the book and keep it moving. It was a well done work.
I saw Spectre and I was surprised how good it was. The reviews I read made it sound horrible and stupid. The reviewers I follow were brutal to the film. I was not expecting it to be good. But we really like it and I thought it was very good. It was not the best bond which is "From Russia With Love," but as good as two of my favorites "You Only Live Twice" and the "Spy Who Love Me." I like it and Daniel Craig's Bond though the series could a little humor. It does not have to be as jokey and comedic as the later Roger Moore's films, but it could use a little of the Sean Connery's "Amsterdam I'm good." Though I like characters of Moneypenny and Q in this film. It was nice to see a little of James Bond life outside the Secret Service. I liked Christoph Waltz was a wonderful villain, I like his appearances which give a stance of evil fun.
Sorry about the lack of out put, my creative juices were on the low end. I have a little break and put and swinging. Art is coming.

MY BIRTHDAY AND VACATION
General | Posted 10 years agoMy birthday is October 28th, I usually take a vacation. This is my first vacation since coming home from the hospital. I don't work on my birthday. I'll call in dead before I work. This was not taking off for a doctor appointment, this was just relaxing and no real plans. I live in New York, because of this I like many New Yorkers don't take advantage of the attractions. We always think that we will go to this and that later. I always make it a habit to go to a museum.
I never been to the Guggenheim, the Whitney, or MOMA, I have been to them. I have been back to Brooklyn Museum and Natural History Museum which I have not been in years. It is great to see all of this attractions. I also do fun tourist things like the Intrepid or Madame Tussuad done as a haunted house. They had actors who stood like the wax figures. All of them were covered with sheets. You walk by and whisper "we going to get you."
I went to the Cloisters which is part of Metropolitan Museum, again if I went to Cloisters it left zero impression on me. It is a not a museum for kids. Many medieval art which wont impress kids. The Cloisters is located in a park. It has an air of tranquility to it. I kind of enjoy of visiting museums alone, if there is something I don't find it interesting I can move on.
I used the audio tore which also selections of music, which was fun to listen to. It was a wonderful day there. I think that the weather which was rainy and cold kept people away. The Cloisters was excellent and something fun to do.
There is a bus from Cloisters which is about 190th Street to 34th Street. The M4 bus is like a grand tour of Manhattan, if you do that remember to go the bathroom. It is a long trip.
Also on my birthday there was a special of the original Dracula with Bela Lugosi and the Spanish version of Dracula. Universal decided to use the set and props with a Spanish cast. The Bela Lugosi version would film during the day and the Spanish version would come in at night. Of the two the Spanish version was better, it had better pacing and plot holes where plugged. I still think that Dracula has to be played by someone either that has an appearance of regal bearer or power.
Christopher Lee had that stature, I joked that I would call him sir even if he was my dad. Bela Lugosi gave Dracula that regal presence of the count. Even when Renfield cuts his finger, Lugosi gives a performance that matches his character. Carlos Villar in the Spanish version is just looks kind of crazy. They were both interesting to see.
When I go out to eat I usual order food that I don't or can't make for myself. I would be called a Foodie, though I don't take pictures of my meals. My sister and I went to a restaurant that has an All You Can Eat Mussells. I love Mussells it was fun to do them. They had both the regular white wine sauce and a mustard sauce. I got my money's worth for that.
Film Forum for their film club showed the original Ghostbusters which I have not seen in a long time. What is interesting are the things in the movie, like the smoking. Sweet Jesus, everybody is smoking in this movie, I can't think of anybody who does not have a cigarette.
Sigourney Weaver character does not my luck with men, she has creepy and obsessive neighbor Rick Moranis. As she walks by, he seems to pop out and talk to her. She is also pursued by Bill Murray who is suppose to be a charming rogue. I don't know if it is my age or times we live in. Bill Murray's character is kind of a jerk, a college professor who hits on the female students. He comes off now as smug jack ass. I don't remember being repelled or finding him a jerk. Still the movie holds up.
It is funny and I forgot how funny Annie Potts was in this.
My sister gave me a really fun gift, I have the poster for Terror of Mechagodzilla. It is one of my favorites, my all time favorite is Destroy All Monsters. She got this poster framed and it looks wonderful in the frame. http://images.moviepostershop.com/m.....1020302423.jpg My sister asked if I like Mechagodzilla. I did not catch on and I only thought it was odd she was calling Mechagodzilla.
This is why I not helping the police solve crimes.

BACK TO MY HOME At Last
General | Posted 10 years agoI am finally at home, my home at last. This used to be my mom's apartment, now it is my apartment. I am turning into my home, we have pulled up the carpet and got it out. She had carpet down since she moved in the late 90's, there was a mystery stain that looked like a bleach slip. What really scared me was the padding under the carpet. I remembers that padding under one of the carpets fell apart almost to powder. It was a nightmare to clean up. We have tack boards up.
So happy to get that out here. We got all of the furniture that I did not want, like a table that had seen better days and a dresser that was used since I was a baby. I hanging my stuff on the walls like my Dali http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Fe0Bn1MfG.....+of+memory.jpg inspired melting clock http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JGN-ULBMe.....1600/Clock.JPG and someone for an extremely belated birthday gave me a framed Doctor Who poster of the Dalek "To Victory" poster. https://elledee08.files.wordpress.c.....ory-poster.jpg
This being my house and my family's perchance to hang things, it seems that all of our walls have nails in them so we can hang things up. It is hanging up now.
In my bathroom I have the New Yorker Magazine cover of "the View From 9th Avenue" https://whatgives365.files.wordpres.....steinberg1.jpg On my birthday I went to my storage locker and straighten it out. Sounds like a fun time, I know. I gather and took some things out that I wanted for my apartment. One of the things that I found and I forgot about was the framed poster for The Hunt for Red October.http://images.moviepostershop.com/t.....1020196499.jpg I thought about hanging in my bathroom, but it was too large to see it properly. I am going to hang in my bedroom.
My sister is redoing her kitchen, replacing the old cabinets, we looked at area rugs. I found one that asymmetrical pattern with various colors that I liked. We found a runner for the hallway that had the same colors. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Mohawk-H.....FbLm7Aodyh0AUw My apartment is shaping up.
My foot is healing well, I will have a second skin to close another wound on my foot. The first graft is healing very well, I have a long term wound boot that custom molded to foot.
One of the things I thought I would miss was the play "Disenchanted" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BV5FjF2GeYw that was written by some of my sisters friends. It takes the Disney Princesses and takes them through South Park. The show is hosted by Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella showing their annoyance with all of those Disney movies. The guys have done a lot of off-off-off-off Broadway work and the Fringe festival. http://www.fringenyc.org/ Dennis Giacino and Fiely A Matias also worked on a show called "Asian Sings the Blues," which has one of the best songs ever. It is on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue http://cdn01.dailycaller.com/wp-con.....lustrated-.jpg is really "Respectable Porn." The play is currently running in New York City, it is really funny show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJX5E2SV4oU
It has Belle of Beauty and the Beast has been driven insane because of all living furniture and objects in the Beast's castle. Ariel of the Little Mermaid regrets giving her tail for human legs, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hwj_JKHFG18 Mulan sings about not getting the guy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_kLU9KFFRQ The actress Lulu Picart was also Pocahantas and Princess jasmine. Even Tiana is in the show.
A little macabre news, one night I left work. There are train tracks that are not part of the subway. They use for garbage trains and cargo. I saw a train on it once in the nine years that I worked here. On the overpass that the road, I saw a bunch photographers and cameramen. They were talking about that there was nothing happening at the moment. I saw flashlights down on the train tracks.
It turned out that two bodies where found on the tracks. I thought that it was possible that homeless had been hit by one of the trains. Turns out that they were wrapped in plastic. This was not an accident, where I work there is a lot of warehouses, garages, and such. It is deserted and lonely, I am surprise that more bodies are not dump by work.
I am working on request for comic strips and such, Just getting back in the swing of these thins.

BACK TO WORK
General | Posted 10 years agoI am back to work, not that I miss all of the madness of tax season. I work for a stock transfer company, we handle the stock for companies like Microsoft and Raytheon. We handle all of the stock that is not at brokers, my doctor cleared me for work. This is our busy season that people need tax documents for dividends and sales they did previous year.
I was going buggy with only my doctor appointments to use as my guide to the days. I was losing what day it was. I liked to be not working, but I needed some structure

Out of the Hospital and Back Home
General | Posted 11 years agoI am finally out of the hospital. My insurance finally approved my wound vac (don't ask it helps my foot heal, disgusting looking but it helps). I am so happy to be out of the hospital, I wished I felt worse cause I was never as sick as my wound description would lead people to believe.
With my infection I was trapped in my room, I would want some tests just to break the boredom. At least the delay gave me a boot that I could put on my foot and could walk around. When I finally received my discharge paperwork. At first they offered me to get a wheel chair, I decided to walk out with my walker. As I got ready my sister Dolores asked if I really wanted to walk all the way out. I reconsidered it and my sister went out.
When she came back she said, "The nurses are all busy. You want to wait."
I replied, "Hell no! Let's roll."
New York is in the midst of a cold snap, polar vortex or whatever. I really was in my room since Christmas so being out was great. I saw the lobby Christmas tree in Lutheran, and going outside was wonderful feeling the cold air. That lasted about three seconds, before I wanted to get out of the cold.
We may not be at Star Trek medical sciences, here is a pill and my foot is healed. The boot allows me to move around pretty freely, I am slowly and have to get used to much larger boot, but for being bedridden for nearly a month I was able to walk very good.
I need to take antibiotics to kill the last of infection, they wanted to send to a rehab home. I said no, more like NO F****ING WAY. I had a nurse come and train me on using the IV, the nurses can do this in about it seems two minutes. They have developed an illustrated mat which lays out the steps and supplies that I need for this. I am slow but it is completely doable for me alon
I am so happy to be home, well it is my sister's home. Hell I am so mobile that this week end we will be going to my house and picking some stuff. I will be going and get my drawing supplies. I will have new artwork soon to post.

Updates on my health
General | Posted 11 years agoI am still in the hospital, the doctors are talking about me being released on Monday 01-05-2015. I am much better and it looked so damn serious I could not believe. The only real symptom was I was really tired all of the time. My foot did not hurt and cause my any problems till 12-15-2014.
I went to a walk in clinic to have a doctor look at a wound that did not seem to be healing. I thought that because it was on my foot was not healing because of shoes and socks. The Doctor looked at it and said go to the emergency room.
It turned out that I had a serious wound that was called Gas Gangrene and had a dead tissue. They did an operation to remove the dead tissue from my foot. I was terrified what was going to happen. They had to a second operation to amputate two of my toes that were too infected to be saved.
Though I worried that I would lose my entire foot or worse. The operation was successful, funny every one who saw me said I do not look sick. I was in the hospital for Christmas and New Year's Day, one of my suckiest Christmas ever. My family came to the hospital and brought dinner.
It was scary, I am more hopefully be home on Monday. I will be drawing soon. Posting some of my works.

ON VACATION Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein
General | Posted 11 years agoOne of the things I love about living in New York, is there always something to do. I am vacation the week of my Birthday October 28th. The Independent Movie House Film Forum showed Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein with a Three Stooges 3D Short. It was great to see both of them on a big screen, but the kids were the best part. I guess they never saw a 3D movie. The screamed with laughter when the stooges run into the camera in the beginning of the short. The short was "Spooks" where the Stooges are detectives looking for a kidnapped girl who in the clutches of a mad scientist who plans to put her brain in a Gorilla. The kids were shocked when the scientist and his henchmen throw knives, hatchets, and charged at them with hypo.
The kids made it so much fun with the jokes, the audience consisted of 50% kids and parents and others who love this movie. The history of this film was started a idea for stage play for Abbott and Costello. It never happened because of schedule conflists between their film work and radio show. The movie was suppose to be a sequel to the film "House of Dracula" called the Brain of Frankenstein, it does a real horror film feel to it. Bela Lugosi as Dracula, Lon Chaney as the Wolfman, and Gleen Strange as the Frankenstein Monster. Dracula plans to put Wilbur Grey's (Costello) brain in the Frankenstein monster.
The kids nearly lost it when Wilbur went into the Wolfman's room after the full moon rise to place the Wolfman's bag. We see the Wolfman stalking Wilbur. Always missing his prey. Wilbur no wiser, he takes an orange from the room. The kids screamed for Wilbur not to go into the room. When he returns the orange I thought the kids were going to totally lose it. "Don't open the door!" the kids were saying. My sister remembered being scared by this film. I think that played the horror elements very straight, with Abbott and Costello bits jammed in. Like Wilbur reading the Legend of Dracula next to his coffin, as Dracula rises from the cffin creaking.
From the Svengoolie Show hating this movie and script, Abbott felt his three year old daughter could have written a better script. I always love this film, it is my favorite of the Costello Films. It has one of my favorite double entendre Wolfman (Chaney): You don't understand at night, I turn into a wolf.
Costello: You and 20 million other men.

A FAMILY TRAGEDY AND REMEMBRANCES
General | Posted 11 years agoMy mom died on September 4, 2014. She died peacefully as possible, short of actually dying in her sleep. She had aorta anerysm that was operated on back in 2012 that enlarged and started leaking blood into her lungs. My mom had used the First Alert System and taken to the hospital. At the hospital informed me and my sister that it would take open heart surgery to fix it. My mom made her wishes known, she did not like the way the first operation went. I did not think she was strong enough to survive the operation. The recovery would have been long and she hated being out of her apartment. This was her comfort zone. We both agreed and decided to go into hospice care.
Our family gathered and said their goodbyes. I never really started to cry till, we started saying prayers. That made it very real to me and then that effective.
My was Luther Medical Center and they were wonderful in treating us. The staff was kind and helpful, at one point even offer me a hospital meal. In these situations, I don't think about we own needs of food. I don't feel hungry until I go down and ingest a hamburger like a frog eating a fly. They had seen that we have been there all day. It helped with grieving and getting ready for the end. Though you are never as ready as you think you are. When it looked like my mom was going to go through the night. We decided to do this in shifts, my sister decided to stay overnight. I would relieve in the morning.
The staff keep us up to date and reminding that my mom had DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) Order that we understood that the only intervention that the staff would to be pain reduction. We knew that and the staff just wanted to be sure sometimes people don't understand that. After I left a janitor offered my sister blankets if she was cold. Again the staff was wonderful, I don't know if the staff is as empathic as Lutheran. By God I sure hope so.
My sister called when she passed, she went so quietly that my sister had realized it at first.
I was living with her due to a financial problems, it was always nice to come home to someone. It was also a blessing for her that I was living there, I am became her health aide worker. She even told once again before going into the hospital that she really appreciated everything that I did for her. I also loved coming home to my dinner being made. Even if it was Celeste Pizza for One in the Microwave.
My mom's motto was if life gave you lemons make lemoncello.
My mom had Retinitis pigmentosa which limited her visibility greatly. She a book reader from the National Library Service and we could download books and magazines. My mom wanted Romance Novels and I would download on a flash-drive up to twenty books, so I went through the A-List authors (Daneille Steel, Judith Krantz, and such), then all of Harlequin Romances. I was down to the cut rate romance novels and I decide to slip in some classics Weathering Heights, A Tale of Two Cities, Little Women, and Rebecca. My mother told me in no uncertain terms, 'DO NOT TRY AND EDUCATE ME."
She always tried to her do everything herself, even though I was not doing anything. By the time she would a sandwich, I could made the sandwich, brought it to her, she would eaten, and cleaned the plate. She never let her shortcomings hold her back. Even if she should. Apparently while my mom was going up in the Bronx had a party where they ran out of food. She always plans to have a menu that would include 2 types of Quiches, Hungarian Galosh, Ziti, and Turkey Breast. The amount of food for her guest would not fit into her studio. It would require guests to have piggy back another guest to fit into here.
One of the things I will NOT miss is her lists. She was always making list. Conversations on Saturdays would go:
MOM: What is on the top of this list?
ME: Blueberries.
MOM: That is last weeks list, throw that it away.
ME: I have one with Maple Syrup...
MOM: That is for later. I am looking for has bay leaves at the top.
Another thing I will NOT miss is her commode, my mom would ask about the amount of what was in there. All I cared about was there blood or something that did not belong. After that I could care less about amounts.
One of things she wanted was from Rich Man, Poor Man miniseries was someone died and their ashes were scattered on the water, followed by throwing roses into the water. There was a mysterious red rose , we joked from a mysterious boyfriend she never told us. I went down to the pier and threw it in the water.
She always enjoyed having people, we had a little gathering on Labor Day where she had a great time. I will miss but remeber all of the good times and parties that she threw.
I ask her once was there anywhere she wanted to go before she died. She thought about and said, "Nah."
She had all of the world she wanted to see and she enjoyed all of her time on this Earth.

BEEN A WHILE SINCE i JOURNALED
General | Posted 11 years agoIt has been a while since I posted Journal. My Christmas was good and we had a lot of fun what is funny me and sister got each theatre tickets, different shows Thank God. I got my sister tickets to the Ian McKellen Patrick Stwart "Waiting for Godot" it was being done with another plat with the same cast called "No Man's Land>" I never heard of that play and the reveiws said Godot was the better play. I think play work because you can believe that Vladimir (Stewart) and Estragon (McKellen) would really be friends and always stay together waiting for Godot. In the play Vladimir and Estragon are waiting for Godot who will improve their lives, yet he never seems to show himself. I can see McKellen's character who worn out and tired. Yet he will not leave Vladimir because of their friendship. It was wonderful and believable.
It is discussed that it is about religion, that we wait and wait and behave without any seemingly reward. Now we have serious here is Comedic take on Waiting for Godot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8fjM6xrFCA
My sister gave tickets to the Book of Mormon. It was wonderful and funny. It is not against Mormonism but religion in general. The best song is Hasa Diga Eebowai http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlxrIq2dtI0 which the villagers sing when tragedy strikes. The missionaries don't understand that the villagers are basically cursing God, it translates as F**K you, God. Just freaking brillant and very funny. My sister enjoyed it she had already seen.
The Super Bowl set up a Fairway on Broadway and one of the things was a luge slide. The Luge is one more dangerous Olympics events. I still want to know what person came up with the two person Luge. The Luge is not dangerous enough so lay on top of me. I waiting for four man Luge pulling a guy on roller skates down the track.
The Luge Slide is higher than it looks, I know me and my sister did this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBEyGs8Fye0 It seems to be three stories up. At least two people chickened out rather than slide down. It was both terrifying and thrilling. It was fun and glad we did it.

BACK ON DA
General | Posted 12 years agoI am back from my month long suspension from DA, the administrators thought that some nudes were of under age and taken down. That is one of the dangers of loaded a bunch of pictures onto Sta.sh and then drop all at once. I understand why this is done, DA does not need some pinhead screaming about Kiddie porn. The expression A lie can travel around the world before truth has its boots on. I do NOT like it, bur I understand.
I was on vacation, I did not know what had happened when a watcher PM on Western Civilization that I was suspended.
I was on vacation, I never work on my birthday. i saw Sunny With A Chance Of Meatballs 2 and Captain Philips, both were good. I knew that Captain Phillips was rescued alive from his pirate hostage., I was so tense during the final scenes. My sister took me to see Avenue Q, think Sesame Street with cursing and sex between the puppets.
Later I went to the Intrepid Space Museum. I want on the Intrepid, the Concorde, and submarine Growler. The submarine U.S.S. Growler was diesel electric missile sub, if you have any problems with enclosed spaces, you really can't go on-board. The largest space was for missiles, you had to go through a mock of the hatch to see if you able to go through. The main concern was water on these cruises. Fun factoid who do you think who was the only member of the crew who bath daily on this sub? It was not the Captain but the cook. My tour group consisted of about 20 people and it seemed cramped.
The Concorde was interested as a experiment that did not go anywhere. The plane worked as Supersonic transport, it guzzled feul when it went slower below Super sonic. The American version never left the drawing board, because it swing wing technology meant it could swing it wings to save fuel subsonic or carry passengers. The Russian version dubbed the Concordeski was Tupolev Tu-144 had a disastrous showing at the Paris Airshow. The plane was doing stunts and it broke apart and crashed into the ground. The actually Concorde almost made it in its service life without a serious accident. It sucked up a blown tire of the plane that took off before it, it crashed and killed all on board. The act that wasually plane seems tiny, it seems that it is a plane that should be used by a regional airline traveling between Boise Idaho and Salt Lake City. It is a small but interesting milestone in Aviation.
The Intrepid was terrific, it showed all triumph and tragedy that befell the ship, when Kamikazes hit the ship. The film was done in the spot that the Intrepid was hitted and told by the men who did not make it back. The carrier was full of various aircraft. Including a Gemini Capsule, either I did not get in right or those astronauts were really short. The best part was the Space Shuttle Enterprise that was added the Museum. Some people complained that the Enterprise never really flew in space, but a model to prove the aerodynamics of the design. My response quick name the other surviving shuttles. It is a shuttle if it did not work then none of the others would have been built.
My sister invited me over to watch the Day of the Doctor on her Jumbotron of a TV. I loved the episode John Hurt made a marvelous War Doctor who has haunted by what he had done and seen in the time war. SPOILERS The Zygons were marvelous villains an under used set of aliens. Loved the whole concept of multiple story lines involving Queen Elizabeth, the Brigadier's daughter Kate Stewart, and Billie Piper as the Interphase. Tom Baker as the curator.
They showed in theaters in 3D, of course I went along with a lot of Whovians. It had a series of trivia, one of them was how many Sonic Screwdrivers sold in North America in a month. The answer was over 1,000. Every geek that a Screwdriver took them out and show to the others. I left my at homer. Curses! There was a preview for with the Sontarans about movie etiquette. Then Matt Smith and David Tennant told to put our 3D glasses.
We were warned that there were in with us. We looked at the person next to us and if our glasses lens were black they were Zygons and we were doomed. When Tom Baker appeared you would have thought that he actually entered the theater. I want to the 7:00PM showing which was crowded. The next showing was at 9:30 PM it was sold out completely.
My ring tone on my new cell phone is I am the Doctor Theme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKsOr9YdiXM I am back.

PEOPLE WHO COMMENT
General | Posted 12 years agoI am not vain enough to believe that I am greatest artist and all fools should bow down to me. I appreciate people who comment, even if that is just great work. I don't mind critiques where people point out my painfully limits of my ability. I do like that, because I can always learn to be a better artist. Something I can not stand are the trolls who act like it is cool to say shit like this "gholYT FUCK could u get ANY more worse at drawing?????' This was left on piece Jungle Girls Meriem Son of Tarzan http://godzilla713.deviantart.com/a.....rzan-356814012 I left the comment up, and just banned the DA Member from my gallery, So my awful art will not offend or bother him/her. I don't know why people pull this. It is one thing to say your drawing of anatomy is not good. Well it seems that the account was deactivated. Maybe these jokers at DA Administrators did something useful, besides making sure that people don't see nipples.
Now for my next rant the DA Censors have taken down Judy Jetson
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10097715/ yet have left my Wildthornberry picture http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10093275/ All I can say is "What the Fudge?" If anubody can explain this to me, I would appreciate this greatly. I can not understand this.
Pull this garbage with me, I don't have time to fool around. I just ban you. Just try it and say goodbye.
On more pleasant side, I am well and still working on my work. I am seeming going slowly. It is because I am adding backgrounds to works here is the origin Here is original drawing of the Jungle girl Jana http://godzilla713.deviantart.com/a.....NGLE-128197552 and another piece with her http://godzilla713.deviantart.com/a.....ngle-297144552 Drawing the plants and all of the details that added to later piece takes time.
