I have to do something in my school called a "Sophomore Exposition" It counts for both my Literature and World History grade... :/
We have to take something world wide and write a research paper on it, and not a report paper....
I originally chose to do mine on the furry fandom.... But it's way too American centralized, even though it's also in other parts of the world...
I was thinking of possibly doing Pokemon? World tournaments, helping Korean kids learn English, started in Japan.....
But I don't know how to focus it effectively, or if it would even work as a subject...... (Too juvenile?)
GAHHHHH...... I ONLY want to do this project if I can do it on something that I love, being so huge and all ._.
(I refuse to be somebody who does theirs on "the rainforest" or worse, the 5% of the class who never even does it O_o)

Posted 12 years agoUGhhh.... (WARNING, most ranting journal I have ever written)
So like, lately I've fallen in love with kemono (wait, ok, before I go any further, i've been obssesed with kemono and stuff for like, 1-2 years now?)
Ok, anyways yeah, I love kemono, anime , kawaii art, and i can't get enough of it for years ;n;
So of course, I want my art to be this way, because I love it so much and haven't gotten tired of it...
I use so many references, and when I look at something, it looks really cool and I try to make mine look that cool too
but when I put away the ref and try it for myself (so that i don't copy a style) my work goes back to the gutter look.
I don't really want any sympathy that you like my art and say it looks fine, I just want advice on how to make my art better
besides practicing, I want tips and tricks for like, sketching, working faster, and making my work more kemono, but not always chibi...
I get great ideas in my head, and can't put them on paper >:
I look at famous works of people, then get scared that I'm copying them too much, but I don't like what I draw anyways because I don't know the right
techniques for like, cell shading, coloring, lineart?
Anyone want to link me to your favorite tutorials I may not have seen yet?....
Yeah, I feel that i don't have a developed style. And I was streaming earlier for opinions and my parents told me to stop drawing, so I can't practice anymore
