Aaaha, how ironic that I just got done /raising/ my prices to what I felt was fair, and now I'm in a position that I need some extra money more than I need to be 'fair' to myself, so.

Hi guys! SO OMG I've been pretty busy for the past few months and I sort of poofled. D: I haven't had the chance to art much either, though I did upload what I have to show atm!

Anywho - making a journal to say OMG THANK YOUUUUU to the 40+ recent watchers I've had since Feb.!!!! Holy crap. I would love to thank you all personally like I usually do but over 40 people are way too many for me to take the time now. x.x So I will just say THANK YOU ALL here in this handy journal entry. Well, it has recently come to my attention that I have reached a bit over 7,000 pageviews and a bit over 700 watchers. (720 to be exact, not to leave anyone out. ;P) I do this every time it seems like my numbers are crawling up there. To me, that is a HUUGE audience of people. Granted, some probably only watch for the porn here and there, but that is just downright terribly flattering. Also granted, there are a number of my friends here, but still.
It really blows me away. :}
What's even better is all the awesome people I've met here, and all the awesome people that have commissioned me, recommended commissioning me, have asked for trades and requests, etc. Not to mention everyone who has simply watched, commented, faved, or left a shout. It all really means a lot to me. I try to respond to as much as I can, but sometimes it's just not possible to respond to everything. ^^;
Anyway, the short of this journal entry is to just say THANK YOU! You guys are all farkin' fantastic, and it is really a pleasure and a privilege to share my doodles with you all! <333

Okay! Today is the last day I was going to accept sketch commissions. :} So no more for the moment. I still have sketches left to do for Mulefoot, Kuntos, Marmelmm, FuziBuni, Keyomi, and Bagheera, all of which I will be doing this evening and tomorrow, since I have a day off yaay! A HUUUUGGEE THANK YOU to the above people, as well as my Gylness, Blaze, Horza, Arazia, Iankeith, Aru, and David! :3 I hope I didn't miss anyone, but I don't think I did. ^^; I've had a lot of fun doing these, and it's been a nice excuse to just sit down and sketch. I so love sketching!

Now, an update on the Spookycat! When we went to the vet on Wed. the Doc thought he might have some minor blockage in his urethra, but didn't think that it was so bad yet and put him on a few different meds as well as suggesting a new diet formulated to help regulate UT health. He was a very, very nice vet, and even drew me little diagrams and was very gentle with kitty and just awesome. It did make a dent in our wallets, and we wouldn't have been able to afford it without you guys helping out. <3 But it was so, so worth it because the vet was just freakin' awesome! Way better than the first one we went to, and I think we'll be going there from now on. I still have to take a urine sample in sometime next week to get some bloodwork done, too.

So that's where we're at. :} I can't tell you all how grateful I am for your help! It means so much to me! I'm sure Spooky is a little less grateful - he's stuck with taking two pills twice a day and yucky liquid antibiotics! :P Poor guy - he's such a drama queen about it, too! Hehe. But he is doing better already and I'm hoping it's all downhill from here.

Ooookay FA - here's the deal! I have to take my cat into the vet this evening (for the second time this past month) because he's been having some pretty icky health problems lately. I thought he may have had a UTI, but the first vet we went to gave him antibiotics and after we finished the antibiotics a few days ago he still had not improved significantly. Now, the first vet I went to was cheap, and not my first choice. The vet I'm going to today is considerably more expensive, but seemingly a bit nicer. Anyway - I'm facing a number of possibilities, none of them within reason of my extremely strained budget.
I'm down to the wire again, though I HATE HATE to do this because I owe quite a few people commissions still. But I don't exactly have many options and money or no money my cat needs to get into the vet again and see what the hell is going on.

SO what does this all mean to you, you may ask?
Super Cheap Limited Time Sketch Commissions, that's what! Starting today and going through the weekend, I'll be offering 6$ (Yes, only 6$, I'm desperate!) digital sketch commissions, to be completed in the order they are received, and hopefully take no longer than an hour or so each. They'll be of the usual quality of my sketches, which I'm sure you guys are used to seeing if you watch me. 6$ sketches will not include a background, and are only one character please. :} If you would like two characters, I'd be happy to do that for $10! And since these are so cheap, I'm going to have to say PayPal only for payment, and full payment up front please.

So, I've pondered posting on this topic a few times, and insofar haven't brought it up yet. But this evening I must satisfy my curiosity.

How many of you good folks here on FA are vegetarian or vegan? I can think of a handful off the very top of my head (I'm sure you know who you are.) but I always wonder how many people in my social groups are vegetarian. I also wonder at people's reasons - what made you make that decision? I recently went vegetarian a few months ago and I personally feel that it has been one of the most positive, /good/ decisions I've made in my life. (Next one is to quit smoking cigs!) I also wonder how many er, furries, critter-people, mythics, whathaveyou are vegetarian considering their obvious empathy towards animals.

So... discuss? :}

What can I say about this? I'm sure everyone on FA has seen it - and Kacey certainly deserves the attention! She's an incredibly talented artist. The ammount of detail in this is just.. amazing. Just beautiful. Kaput is another artist who just completely amazes me. This peice in particular really touches me - the symmetry of the character between the trees, under a clear and open sky. It feels like a huge fresh of breath air - I can almost hear the birds calling to eachother and imagine the sun and shadows playing on the ground. The look on the otter's face is also so blissful, peaceful. The whole thing is just wonderfully organic and inviting.

This is one of my absolute favorite things on FA. The soft glow of everything in the picture makes it feel very detatched and surreal. The lighting is very striking - but not overly so. I just think it's so very beautiful, and makes me feel, if not sad, a little contemplative. The look on the foxe's face seems stoic and yet somehow sad. Not quite sure how to explain it, but this is another one that touches me.

Vegex is another of my favorite artists here on FA! I love his unconventional style, and he's certainly not afraid of contrast and bright, bold colors. I really really love this one in particular. Well, I've been avoiding it and just watching since this shite went down. So now that everybody and their mother has jumped ship, I figured I'd put in my 2 cents.
Firstly, I do not condone or support or encourage cub-art. However, I also realize they are only fictional characters in fictional situations. Just as I do not condone, support, or encourage sex with real animals - yet I may find an illustration of an animal/anthro arousing. They are two completely different worlds, my friends. If you're uncomfortable with it - fine. That's fine. No skin off my back. No skin off my back either if someone wants to draw underage characters in comprimising situations. I'm not going to go out of my way to point fingers and yell and scream about how wrong it is. I'm simply going to harbor my own private thoughts about the artist/art, try my best to avoid it, and move on.

People should be MORE UPSET over the fact that there ARE KIDS on this site that look at the porn that YOU ARTISTS OUT THERE are uploading. Not that you pay any attention WHATSOEVER to their age, obviously, because I always see a crapton of "OH MRR THX FOR THE WATCH <3333" on these kid's page and not an ounce of "HOLY CRAP YOU'RE ONLY 15 WTF HOW ARE YOU SEEING MY DOG-PEOPLE FUCKING EACHOTHER!?!"

For the record (oh lovely, wise, beautiful admins) THAT is an issue that doesn't sit well with me and has made me consider pulling my adult stuff a few times. What good is marking it mature or adult when a minor can still access it? I would rather see the godamn cub porn than continue to have to check EVERY SINGLE WATCHER to see if they are underage and then bitch at the admins about it, which I have done NUMEROUS times.
I've also made complaints about this before but I won't air publically how I feel about the response.
