General | Posted 19 years agoHoly crap you guys! You have all been busy I see. :3 (and thanks to Uncia for reminding me, I probably would not have caught it otherwise. e_e; I am lazy and dumb.) So OMFG THANK YOU! Thank you to everyone who has stopped by my gallery, watched me, faved my stuff, left comments - everything! It really means a ton to me, and it feels awesome to be so accepted and such here on FA. I was pretty unsure when I first joined, but it's proven to be one of my favorite new sites. I've made some new friends, seen some FANTASTIC art, and of course, felt free to post some of my naughtier stuff. I really do like it here, and you guys have made that happen.
I also want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to all 115 of the people watching me. You guys are awesome and it just means a whole lot to me. :3 I really do feel so welcome here, it's so nice!
SO as a special offer to celebrate, I want you guys to suggest an animal (or mythical animal, or cute fuzzy pokemon, whatever!) that you would like to see me draw! I'm going to do two sketches of it - one female pinup and one male. I'm not sure how to go about choosing - I might pick at random, or just pick whatever sounds like fun. 1. What is your character's name?
Fareme.
2. What kind of character is it (furry, anime, etc) and any particular race?
Fareme is a shapeshifter that usually stays in her anthro or non-anthro fox form. She has a long and drawn out history about the 'people' she came from (other shapeshifters) and such things. She's also has healing "magic" (which is utilized by draining her own health to restore someone wounded) and is a "kestra'chern" for those of you who are familiar with the term. For those that aren't, suffice to say she's a healer.
3. What is the first thing your character would think of when he/she first wakes up? "How much longer can I get away with sleeping in..mmm, one more hour. e_e"
4. Your character's favorite outfit would be?
Uh.. nothing. >_>; But if I put her in costume it's usually a long skirt and some sort of blouse.
5. When your character looks into a mirror, what's the first thing they would notice?
Shiney wet nose, perked ears, hazel eyes. I 'unno? o_O
6. Does your character have the same tastes in food as you?
Well, mostly. She eats better than me. o_O; Lots of fresh things for her - in most places I RP her, she has a huge garden with fruits and veggies and all sorts of flowers. She also eats a lot of dried meats and is always setting out little snacks for guests - cheese and crackers, little fruit-kobobs, tea, etc. Oh yes, and tea. She drinks much more tea than I do, and she mixes her own.
Pretty much she eats how I wish I could. ;_;
7. How is your character similar to you?
Considering that she is modeled after me with some fantasy elements (owning a very unique home, skilled healer, can change shape, etc.) we are quite smiliar. She enjoys reading, drawing, nature, snaileys, etc.
8. How is she different?
Well, considering she can manipulate matter, (To keep it short: Matter Manipulation is how she changes shape and also allows her some other interesting tricks. Me and a friend coined the term back in, I dunno.. quite a few years ago. o_O) I'd say that's pretty darn different. I guess she is also different in that she is more along the lines of the 'ideal' me in character - caring, loving, motherly, healing those who might need it, and living in a way that I can only currently dream of.
9. If your character could speak, would they have the same voice as you?
Hmm.. probably at least close. My voice sounds very drab to me, so I've always imagined Fareme's being much prettier.
10. If you were to suddenly become your character, what do you think would be the first thing you would do as them?
I would be going for a little fly - pronto! MAN that would be wicked cool. :}
11. Is there something about your character that you don't like how others think of them?
Hmmm.. Well, there is always the whole OMG VIXEN MRRR thing in the fandom that bugs me, but eh. There are many reasons I won't bore you all with, but she wasn't always a fox. Actually, she started out as a "Vulpegryph" (term coined by my good friend Crystal Phoenix) - a fox sized gryphon with a fox behind. She's evolved quite a lot over the years into a more accurate representation of my personality. I guess you could say she's grown with me.
12. What advantages does your character have over you?
Like.. everything. D: Except maybe shedding.
13. What disadvantages?
As above mentioned, shedding. XP Also red foxes stink a bit. She would go through a lot more scenty stuff than me.
14. Do you have any secrets relating to your character that only you know?
Yup.
15. Do you have any secret drawings only you know about?
Yep.
16. Do you have any plans for your character or are you working on something big relating to him/her?
No, not really. She's turned into more of a sometimes-RP character/mostly just a representation of myself and a pursona to hang out with some of my other fuzzy friends.
17. What misconception(s), if any, do people have about your character?
Uhm.. I dunno really? As with myself online, some people have reffered to her as a he, which is not true. :} Although I have drawn her once as a male.
18. If you could have just ONE characteristic from your character, what would it be?
Her healing abilities.
19. Have you made any characters that go along with yours, based on real-life people, that have the same traits?
Yep. I tend to pursonafy some of RL friends. My blood-brother's character is a white Lupogryph/Wolf/wing wolf pusona named Shakotay and is also her blood-brother in her history. Sojiro was a rat based on my RL boyfriend of the time - I have a lot of old drawings of them and he was also added in her history. Before Soj, whom Ed (boyfriend) mostly created, I made him a pursona myself that was a green dragon called Mason. Sadly, Ed died a few years ago in a car accident. Bluh, uhm, anyway. x.x Now, I have Entropy - who is based on my fiance and a common subject that you guys see here on FA. :} There is also a white dragon named Sha'Koi who started out as a captive that Fareme took for revenge. (looong story) Since then, she's become more of Fareme's companion - she helps around the house, and with cooking, and often waits on Fareme (of her own free will, though it wasn't always that way.) and just generally helps out.
20. Have you written any stories about your character?
Yeah, but none that I've ever shared that I can think of. They're mostly for my own reference - such as her history and whatnot.
21. How has your character changed since his/her first creation?
Quite a lot. As stated above, she's changed with me.
22. Give us a one-liner from her.
Uhm.. o_o I have no idea.
23. What's something people would be surprised to learn about your character?
Hmmm.. I dunno. o_O Perhaps that she is utterly terrified of guns? That's the best I can think of that might be "surprising" but it doesn't seem very surprising.
24. If you met your character in real life, what would you do with him or her?
Make teaaa! :D And maybe like.. ask her to change into a unicorn so we could GALLIVANTING about the country-side or somesuch.

OMFG WHEEEEEEEEEE.
So I scanned in a bunch of stuff I've done over the last few months and I'll be posting it tonight. This is also awesome because I can open up real media commissions again and I totally missed sharing real media stuff with people in general. Though I love the freedom of digital art - having an entire art store at my fingertips so to speak - I feel like real media has always been my stronger subject as far as definition and detail. So.. YAAAAAY. :D

Also: South Park + WoW was AWESOME. Way to kick off the new season, guys!

I can assure you 100% that he is like NO OTHER RAPPER you have EVER heard, and you will NEVER hear his stuff with the shit they play on MTV and the radio. He raps about government conspiricies, science, and has some WICKED ASS metaphores. He also makes fun of a bunch of crappy rappers (IMO) like 50 cent, Eminem and LL KoolJ. And the bets thing? It's all FREESTYLE - as in, he does NOT compose his lyrics ahead of time. FARKING AMAZING MAN. Give him a try!!
Another AWESOME to point out is Jin - he is a chinese rapper and freaking ROCKS. I can't get enough of his stuff he is AWESOME. If you want some laughs, listen to 'Got Rice' by him, it's awesome. Freaking bloody awesome I say.

General | Posted 19 years agoOKAY SO. I really need to pay a few bills. o_o; Like, ASAP. So here's the deal.
I'm offering commissions of any rating/subject (minus a few select things, email for details) at $25 each, and I have FIVE OPEN SLOTS. I'm offering full color with no or minimal background, up to two characters, digital.
I am ALSO offering some awesome portfolio CD's entitled Symphonies in Fur Minor which some of you may have seen for sale at the last con. It is packed full of awesome art by very talented artists. I'm offering a special deal with these - the CD by itself is $30 with shipping, but for only $10 extra you will also get a detailed ink commission of your character (or whatever), any rating, that usually goes for $20 under my normal asking price. Each CD will also be hand signed by me, and if you want a more person 'autograph' I'm willing to do that too. :}
