For Savannah! Well, Statesboro technically. I can't wait to head on down! I've already got a u-haul set up and ready to go! I've slowly been packing up my stuff. Luckily most of my stuff is still in boxes.

Anyway. My last day at American airlines is on Sunday, then I'll be unemployed for the first time in 4 years. It'll be different not going by a schedule.

Well, in the 2 hours left of 2013, I get to reflect back as to what happened this year. So, let's fo this!

I was only able to go to one con this year, and that was FWA (h). I'm really glad I was able to bring along Taurin Fox too, as he's a brother to me, and I love him to death!

I thought I was going to be moving to Georgia around May, but something didn't quite go to plan, instead, I got my own place! A few of you have seen it. For those that haven't, it's a really nice set up! It's great living by yourself, but lonely at times. Oh well.

I lost my job at US Airways, but in return, gained a job at American Airlines due to my really great work record fron my job at US Air. Our record is still in the books, and probably won't be broken. This job change happened right as school was going on. That added a whole other level of stress. How I escaped with a 3.3 GPA, I don't know. The new job gets in the way of a lot. I miss hanging out with my friends!

The year ended on a good note, as I got contacts! My eyes are still getting use to them, but I know they'll adjust eventually. I get to wear those insanely expensive Costa Del Mar sunglasses I found on an airplane!

My goals for 2014 are simple:
-Transfer to a 4 year school, and begin my Mechanical Engineering coop, and;
-Maybe find a partner, but that's not high on the priority list, I'd also like to;
-Pay off my truck! Less than a year left! I'm excited!

Hooray for survivng another year! I am now 24.... a "means nothing" age! Next year I can rent cars cheaper!

Furfright day trip was a success! Flew up there First Class. It's neat to see the arms of a hurricane from 30,000 feet. My rental car was originally going to be a Chevy Aveo, but apparently they had an "upgrade to anything weekend", so an extra $15 later, I'm driving out of the parking lot with a new Camaro! I had fun with that thing (or as a certain pony friend of mine would say.... "Tear that shit up!").

Anyway, the con was about 30 minutes from the airport, the drive, fairly uneventful. The Camaro rides LOW... I drive a truck, this thing took getting use to, I -fell- inside the car the first time. I eventually get to the con, parking wasn't an issue. So I register, pay my $35 for a saturday only badge. The person behind the counter was kinda disappointed, then I told them where I was from and what I was doing... that got them quiet real quick. managed to get ahold of my buddy Taurin Fox (me and him go waaaay back). So we hung out, drew some, ate at Chili's, and watched the fursuit parade. He even made me a batch of nacho's! Those were some of the BEST nacho's I have EVER had... EVER.

I only got to spend about 4 and a half good hours at the con (I was on airplanes more than I was actually at the con). There was apparently some security issues at that con, too. You know, the typical "give someone a security shirt and they act like they can do anything" kinda issues. I didnt get in any confrontations with them. If they would have even -tried- anything stupid, I would have called them out in a heartbeat (it's one of the great things from being in the south!).

Sadly, though, all good times must come to an end. Drive back to the airport was interesting. The Highways up north just straight up suck... balls. Seriously. It's like they aren't maintained at all. Boat trailer in front of me blew a tire on a bridge. Downshifted in the Camaro and flew past him (it was one of those fancy Manual-Automatic transmissions), that car will move when you want it to. Flights back were boring. Got first class, and I just drank some Rum and Coke, and passed out. Woke up to one of the prettiest sunsets I have ever seen on my Hartford-Charlotte leg.

But, that's about it! Would I do it again? Maybe, but FWA is funner <3

Yep! I'm back! I had a blast, too!

Started my drive Friday after school. Despite driving for 5.5 hours, half of which is on I-95, I did not see a single wreck *le gasp!*. Once I got to my dads' place, I barged in and went straight for the bathroom. Once that was done, me and him went to a Five Guys up the street and ate. When that was done, I hijacked his internet and played some tanks!

Saturday was fun, I woke up to the smoke alarm going off. Seems like someone forgot to put the tin foil around it when then were making the Bacon! Lots os swear words from my father insued... I laughed. We then went over to his work place. It was family picnic day! Free food and carnival rides for all! Got myself fat on BBQ and cotton candy that day. I also got a glimpse of what I will be doing soon.

Sunday was pretty good, woke up to more bacon and donuts (minus a smoke alarm... which was yanked out of the ceiling). Went out to look at trains for a big chunk of the day (it may seem weird, but its something we've always done, and I love it!). Also got to check out the export yard, which is AWESOME. All kinds of massive machines just waiting to be loaded onto ships. Lunch was good to, went to a place on Tybee island and had some pizza. Can't remember the name of it, but it was GOOD, and cheap!

Drive home was boring. Stopped by a place I go to both ways for a break, picked myself up some Boylan pure sugar cane orange soda. That stuff, is AWESOME. Also picked up a 6 pack of Blenheim ginger ale. He'll get it this weekend if he goes to the fair.

I origionally went down there to see if I can meet some people on the assembly front for Gulfstream. I got something better. Engineering Coop info! In 2014, I will be going down there to start that. My time in the Carolinas is now limited!

Yep, it's that time! That time I go and fill out that looong thing about what I did at a con over this past weekend!

FRIDAY- I woke up at 3:30AM after only getting 2 hours of sleep, ate, got ready, and drove to the airport for my 5:30AM departure for Charlotte (Sunrise at FL100). Get to Charlotte, eat again, then jump on my flight to Pittsburgh. Once I arrive, I jump on my supershuttle, and 30 minutes later, I arrive at the Omni, check in, and begin on my way.

I wanted to get my commissions started as soon as possible, so I went ahead and gave money to (who was an awesome person to work with), (who was very relaxed, and had a great attitude), and I also got a very cute little badge from (who works fast, but does a really good job. Great to talk to, as well!). I also got a sketch of Sly Cooper from GoH Dev Madan, the Art Director for the Sly Cooper games.

Later in the day, I check up on FA just to see who's doing what, and sure enough, one of my favorite artists was taking commissions. So, I snagged one from him. Once the dealers den closed, I went out to eat at Fernando's, which was really good. Even ordered myself a T-shirt! A couple hours later, I get a text from saying that he was at the zoo, and that the preliminary sketch was done. So I went up there and hung out with him for well over 2 hours. It's amazing to watch this guy work. He can even keep a conversation going!

SATURDAY- Woke up, remembered that my room was next to the ELEVATOR SHAFT. Skipped breakfast and went straight to the con. I eventually got there and got to meet along with who was like "who the hell is this dude?". I then picked up a couple pieces of art that I had bought.... and that I still need to post, as well as stuff that I have drawn.

While I was in that area, I went back to Dev's booth to chat with him. He's a cool guy to talk with, and can keep a good conversation going. I even took a look through the Sly Cooper concept art book. HOLY CRAP there was a lot of stuff in that book, but it was neat to see all the "oh hey, I remember that part of the game" sketched out right there.

Went to 2's show as well as Kage's. Both were really good, and many lulz were had with a few of my NC buddies, as well as some new ones from PA (and sorry , no one got NASCARed at this one... shame!)!

Near the end of the day I hung out in the zoo for a bit with and one of his buddies. Attempted to draw, but didn't really get no where.

SUNDAY- Woke up, got dressed, and went straight outside for the shuttle, I didn't get to do anything con related this day, sadly. Maybe saw a fur or two that had to leave that day to get home and get ready for this thing called work on Monday. The ride was smooth, the Boeing 737 can deliver a good ride. Nothing beats a good, quality American made aircraft.

Welp, that's all I got, I really hope I can stay longer next year, and it's a shame all my roomies and ride bailed on me, but I'm a stubborn SOB. Honestly though, even though I get free flights, I -hate- flying to cons, it's so boring! You have no one to talk to you normally would, so next year, I'm driving.

Just landed back in Greensboro. Not a very exciting flight, lots of screaming kids though. Now I just have to survive the drive home!

Yep! I hate to do it, but I gotta leeeaaaave. My flight leaves at noon, so super shuttle decides it wants to pick me up at 9:30..... which is BS. Oh well! Be home by 3!
