October Commissions
Posted 6 years agoPlease look at my commission website for info, tos and availability! Commission Info
Its time for more commissions! Unfortunately I didn't really think of a Halloween theme for this year. But any spooky themed commissions are definitely encouraged!
Please note that I'll be celebrating my boyfriends birthday on the 27th and we'll be having a short break till the 1st of October. I may also take short breaks in between commissions to work on personal projects. But I will be aiming to get these done before November.
Best with:
Imaginative fantasy themes. Nature themes. Creatures. Natural, earthy colours and markings.
Will draw:
Any animal/creature, anthro or human. Android/cyborg's to an extent.
Original, existing, and fan characters. Portraits and pets.
Won't Draw:
Complex machinery, very complicated and detailed armor. (Might be able to do a simplified version)
Extreme gore (blood and small wounds are ok).
Nsfw (other than tasteful nudity), most fetishes and anything discriminatory.
I won’t heavily reference/copy another artist's, character, art style or pose.
How to Order:
Do not book a slot if you don't have enough money available. While I'm happy to answer questions about costs please only book a slot when you are ready to pay. Otherwise you'll be disrupting my schedule and potentially taking a slot from another client.
Email me at tashcrow.commissions[at]gmail.com to claim a slot! Please include character info, any references and the type of commission you want. If you don’t have a references then mood boards (3-5 images for inspiration) and clear, to the point descriptions would be great.
Payment up front via paypal invoice. I’ll invoice you once I know what you want and when I'm ready to start your commission.
If you take a slot and don’t respond after a week (before payment) I’ll have to remove your slot.
Please tell me if you’ve changed your mind about getting a commission. It might be awkward, but I’ll appreciate you telling me and it saves me planning for a commission that isn’t going to happen!
Wip’s and Edits:
I send wip’s throughout the commission. The sooner you respond, the sooner I finish your commission. Please don't take a week to respond as that can really mess up my schedule. But take a moment to make sure you’re happy with everything though!
Price includes two major edits for each stage (excluding paintings and inks). I might charge for additional edits depending on complexity.
Traditional paintings will have very limited edits due to the medium. I can change colours and little details digitally once the painting is done. If you’re quite particular about your character’s colours and details this might not be the best option for you.
Similarly, traditional sketches are more awkward to edit and I might have to make digital edits as well.
Also a little reminder I've got a sale on my Etsy Store

August Commissions Open! Stylized comms and Timing
Posted 6 years agoPlease look at my commission website for updated info, tos and availability! https://tashartcommissions.weebly.c.....and-slots.html
I’ve reopened stylized commissions because I enjoy working in this style much more than the old cartoony one. Chibi-ish proportions but with more pencily details. And trying to keep the traditional look with the digital ones as well http://www.furaffinity.net/view/32710732/
Also, I’m happy to work in this style for my mini inks and paints. You can also have stylized versions of your characters in my sketch sheets as well.
Character Adjustments Please read!
Design
Characters for stylized commissions will be simplified depending on how complex the original design is. Complex outfits/markings with be simplified, wings will be made smaller etc.
Colour
For the digital colour very saturated and dark colours don’t work well with my sketchy style. And my aim is to keep a traditional feel to the colour. I might adjust your characters palette to suit the style. If this is something that would bother you, please tell me when ordering!
No nude/sexual themes with this style even if its sfw!
Just feel kinda morally icky with any characters in this style due to the childlike proportions. Even if the character is an adult. Innocent romance like kissing is fine and non human characters without exposed genitals are fine to be nude.
My usual commissions are also open!
I should mention that I’m very open to adjusting the sketch sheets. So, here’s some extra info.
These are looser and rougher sketches in bulk which is why they’re a bit cheaper. These are meant to explore designs for a new character or look at different poses and expressions of an existing ones. I can also do more narrative sequences with these if you want me to add some dialogue. But please note this won’t be a proper comic with backgrounds and panels etc.
3 full body views plus one half body or two headshots for £60 is just the standard option. I think of it as a point system.
1p – headshot
2p – half body/Stylized full body
3p – Detailed full body
You get 11p to use with the £60. Extra points being roughly £5.50.
Additional rules:
Do not ask for 11 headshots. You have to a least have one full body or two full bodies/stylized.
You can only get up to 5 additional points. Any more than that would be a bit much for me.
Up to two characters per sketch sheet.
Timing Changes
After some thought I think I need to try and change the way I time my commissions. Up until now I’ve been trying to really control how much work I do each month. As in trying to get all my commissions done as fast as I can so I can have some time to work on my own things at the end of the month. But that just hasn’t been working well for me. Clients can sometimes take a while to answer emails and my own personal/family things can get in the way. Lately by the end of a bunch of commissions I’ve found myself getting tired and frustrated which isn’t any good for me or my clients.
Would folk be ok if I slowed down a bit? If I took some time for myself in between commissions to work on personal work, hell even self-indulgent fan art occasionally? Of course, I totally understand if clients feel uncomfortable with me taking too long. For a while now I’ve only been charging people when I’m close to starting their commission instead of charging them when they get the slot. I think this gives my clients and myself more peace of mind.
I’m still hoping to get 5 slots done in a month/month and a half. But it will depend on how complex the commissions are. If I get a bunch of small commissions, I’ll be able to finish them faster and move onto the next batch sooner. And if I get a lot of complex ones it might take max two months. Though If the commission has a deadline (someone’s birthday etc.) tell me asap so I can plan for it. I’ll probably take a longer break after I’m finished with a set. Like 1-2 weeks depending on how I feel.
TLTR I’m going to try a more relaxed pace this round with more time for personal work in between commissions and see how I feel and how long it takes.

Updates Commission Plans and Free Art Closed
Posted 6 years agoI've chosen the characters I'm going to do the commission examples with! There were some great ones so it was pretty tough to choose
Human-coloured: winterdragoness's Salamander (da)
Quadruped creature - sketch: tinistarvicti's Diamera (da)
Hi!
My plans a have gotten a bit jumbled for August so I'm gonna write this for myself and for folk interested in the next batch of commissions.
I mentioned on twitter that I had to go dog and house sitting later this month. But unfortunately our poor old dog Cassie has passed away. I'll miss her, but its especially tough on my parents. At 11 years she was old for a great dane and we all knew this day was going to come soon. So there's some comfort in knowing she lived a long and happy life.
I'm sad she's gone but I'm ok! But since this is going to change my plans for the month I figured I should mention it. Since there's not much point in me going back to Inverness while my parents are on holiday I'll be staying in Glasgow. So I'll hopefully be able to open commissions in two weeks time.
I've still got some personal projects I want to get done before commissions. I'll be making new mhw iceborne charm designs for the shop and I want to make another little 3d sculpt.
Also! I think I've figured out a stylized style I'm more comfortable with so I'll be reopening stylized commissions. They'll be like these: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/32340674/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/32456767/
I'm going for smaller proportions but a bit more "natural" and still kind of detailed look. But I want to get some digital examples done as well so would anyone want to lend a character for a bit of experimenting with?
I'm looking for any quadrupedal animal/creature character. And a human/humanoid character to show a bit of variety. By humanoid I mean something mostly human, particularly the face.
Tbh I think anthro characters and little bipedal animals work best in this style but I still want to show I can do other things with it.
TOS Please read!
This isn't a commission so I wont be making edits!
Leave links to character refs and a small description and pose/expression preferences in the comments.
I'll be choosing two designs, one for a sketch example and one coloured.
I'll be choosing designs I particularly like and think will fit the style. Please don't be upset if you aren't chosen.
I'll start working on these after I finish the charm designs.

If you've read my journal you'll know that I've removed stylized options and coloured sketches. I don't really like how I'm doing them just now. So I need some time to figure out some styles and techniques that are a bit more appealing to me.
I've got a new commission option! Mini Inks and Paints
For mini inks and paints I don't do the usual head shot, half body etc. Instead I try to fit as much as I can while still keeping a nice amount of detail. Typically I can fit small animal characters in as mostly full bodies but for characters with larger proportions (humans and bigger) it'll be a half body.
No extra character options for mini's.
For mini inks I have a range of pens and colours! For dip pens I have black, ultra marine and deep red. And I have the 12 colour set of hi-tec-c maica 0.3 pens. So just let me know what pen type and colour you prefer when ordering.
Reference Sheets - £80
Two full body views and two headshots for the base price.
Can add more details and poses. Price depends on complexity.
Sketch sheet - £60
A page of looser, rougher sketches. To help design a new character or explore the personality of an existing one.
3 full body views plus one half body or two headshots.
Best with:
Imaginative fantasy themes. Nature themes. Creatures. Natural, earthy colours and markings.
Will draw:
Any animal/creature, anthro or human. Android/cyborg's to an extent.

Updates, Shinies, Adopts and Commission plans/changes
Posted 6 years agoMay's been a bit awkward for me. Went from thinking I had loads of time to not having that much at all. Mainly family things and just loosing track of time :/
I got that new shinies thing! I guess I can use it as a tip box. Just please don't use it as a way to commission me, I use invoices for a reason.
I also have a kofi: https://ko-fi.com/tashcrow
I'm gonna give adopts another go! I think they help with character design tbh and they can be fun. I'm going to be making some harctrie, deer like critters from my personal project. I made them in 2016 and wanted to finally develop them a bit more. I'll be making four flat coloured ones plus a custom option tonight or tomorrow. Then a painted one, maybe?
I also wanted to do another 3d thing but I'll probably have to do that in between commissions.
I have to go to Inverness again for an appointment on the 9th and wont be back till the 12th so I'll probably open commissions some time after that!
Been giving it some thought and I'm going to remove some commission options. Coloured sketches and stylized commissions. I realize I might be shooting myself in the foot but I don't like them as much as I used to and I want to be able to do my best work for commissioners. I don't really like my current style for coloured sketches, I feel like the colours clash with the sketch lines. Even though I spend a lot of time on them it just looks muddy and its kinda frustrating. I might try to replace it with another digital colour style but I want to figure out something that looks nicer with my drawings. As for my stylized style, I don't think its bad but, it just doesn't feel like me anymore? If that makes sense? It feels a little too Disney, not that that's bad, but it doesn't feel right for me. I want to develop it a bit more to something I'm more comfortable with so until then I won't be taking commissions for it.
Sorry if this effects anyone planning to commission me! Give me time and I'll hopefully have better options. And I've got lots of other options in the meantime.

Suggest Animals for a Creature Design
Posted 6 years agoOk thanks for all the great prompts guys!
I've taken all the suggestions and used a random number generator. Here are the results:
1. Frill-necked Lizard by
2. Sichuan takin by
3. Kakariki by silverbloodwolf98 on da
This'll be interesting. So using the rules on the previous journal, Frill-necked Lizard as the base species. A Sichuan takin as inspiration for the shape. And a Kakariki for small details and markings. Looking forward to this, I'll start today c:

Suggest Animals for a Creature Design
Posted 6 years agoI want to do a fun project so help me design a creature by suggesting an animal! I’ll be picking three animals to combine in a random selection and the more suggestions the better c:
This is just going to be a small sketch project, so It’ll look something like these:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/30972433/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/30959464/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/30743926/
My aim for this isn’t to make a clear hybrid but to try and make a creature that could exist on its own. I want this critter to be kind of believable, so this is how I’m gonna structure it -
1. Base animal. The creature’s base species. So say if I get a dog, the creature will be canine or looking like it could have evolved from a canine. If it’s a mammal it won’t have feathered wings or insect legs or anything like that despite the other picked animals.
2. Secondary animal. I’ll be using this as inspiration for the shape of the creature. So if I get a whale, I’ll be making our dog like creature aquatic.
3. Third animal. Small details and colours/markings. Again, these will be limited by the base animal. So I won’t be giving mammals crazy bright colours (saturated blues and greens) or fish like scales. But say if I get a clown fish for the third pick, I would give our aquatic canine black and orange markings with white stripes. (But just markings for now as this is just going to be a sketch.)
Rules:
One prompt per person.
Humans are allowed as a prompt (we are animals after all)
Specific species and domestic breeds are allowed and encouraged. Just note that specific details and markings might be lost in the creature design.
Prehistoric and extinct animals are allowed.
No mythological creatures or creatures from existing ip’s.
I’ll pick via random number generator so its fair. Aiming to start this next week!

April May Commissions Open Closed
Posted 6 years agoCommissions are Closed
Thanks! I've got enough work to keep me busy for a while. I'll try to reopen in late May or June
I’ll be busier than usual this month with deecon, raicon and going to Inverness for a few days so I might be a bit slow this time. Things will go back to normal in May though!
Also I’ll be closing my etsy store from the 19th to the 5th but I’ll be back with new merch c:
Here’s all my commission info and examples: https://tashartcommissions.weebly.com/
Best with:
Imaginative fantasy themes. Nature themes. Creatures. Natural, earthy colours and markings.
Will draw:
Any animal/creature, anthro or human. Android/cyborg's to an extent.
Original, existing, and fan characters. Portraits and pets.
Tasteful nudity.
Won't Draw:
Complex machinery, very complicated and detailed armour. (Might be able to do a simplified version)
Extreme gore (blood and small wounds are ok).
Nsfw (other than tasteful nudity), most fetishes and anything discriminatory.
I won’t heavily reference/copy another artist's, character, art style or pose.
How to Order-
Email me at tashcrow.commissions[at]gmail.com to claim a slot! Please include character info, any references and the type of commission you want. If you don’t have a references then mood boards and clear, to the point descriptions would be great.
Payment up front via paypal invoice. I’ll invoice you once I know what you want.
If you take a slot and don’t respond after a week (before payment) I’ll have to remove your slot.
Please tell me if you’ve changed your mind about getting a commission. I know it might be a bit awkward, but I’ll appreciate you telling me and it saves me planning for a commission that isn’t going to happen!
Wip’s and Edits-
I send wip’s throughout the commission. The sooner you respond, the sooner I finish your commission. Please take a moment to make sure you’re happy with everything though!
Price includes two major edits for each stage (excluding paintings). I might charge for additional edits depending on complexity. I will not change the sketch once it’s been approved for the colour stage.
Traditional paintings will have very limited edits due to the medium. I can change colours and little details digitally once the painting is done. If you’re quite particular about your character’s colours and details this might not be the best option for you.
Similarly, traditional sketches are more awkward to edit and I might have to make digital edits as well.
I don’t work on commissions in the evenings and weekends
Feel free to ask any questions and if there's anything you want not mentioned on the list let me know and I can give you a quote c:

Patreon interest check and suggestions
Posted 6 years agoHi!
So because patreon will be changing its fees soon I made a temporary patreon page. If you were ever thinking of making one make it now! You’ll avoid the upcoming fees and you can organize it properly later, like what I’m doing.
But now that I’ve got one what kind of tier rewards would people be interested in?
I’d have to start small to begin with, as I don’t want it to take too big a chunk of my time. Maybe a monthly detailed drawing for patreons only? And if I get more support, I could upgrade that to a bigger project. For bigger tiers what would folk like? Process gifs, high qualiy psd files? Oh I would love to send out small physical awards like stickers or miny prints. Little atc sized drawings and painting originals for a big tier.
I’m not 100% sure if I’m going to go ahead on this. This is basically an interest check. Let me know if you like the sound of these and if you have any suggestions. And if anyone has a patreon I would really appreciate any advice c:

March Update Shop Cons Commissions
Posted 6 years agoHi!
I'm gonna be dog sitting at my parents home from the 9th to the 20th. They're going on a much needed break but our dog is too old to be going to kennels so I'm the only one that can take care of her. Kinda annoying but it can't be helped. Once I'm back I need to prepare for Deecon (20th of April) and Raicon (4th of May) I want to get some new prints (and possibly charms) made. Because of the dog I'm gonna have to cancel commissions until mid April once I've got some new art made. And yeah I'm gonna have to close the shop while I'm away as well.
I'll be doing sketching and planning for the prints, I'm gonna miss my scanner and photoshop while I'm there though. I should just see it as a holiday but its come at a bad time lol
I'll be aiming to get all owed work done before I go!

Back Etsy store and Traditional Art
Posted 6 years agoHi! I hope everyone had a lovely holiday and a happy new year!
I had a nice chilled out time with my parents and got some amazing gifts. My boyfriend completely spoiled me and got me red dead 2 and smash brothers ultimate!
I've opened my etsy store again. I've sold out of some of the mhworld charms but I've ordered more so they should be restocked soon! The new designs should be coming with them c:
https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/tashcrow
So while I was at home I've been having fun with traditional media again. I bought some arches watercolour paper and Kuretake watercolours and I'm itching to try them! I also took back a bunch of my old acrylic and gouache paint. So yeah, I'm going to be experimenting with all of those this month! Once I've gotten a bit more confident at using these would anyone be interested in traditional commissions?

Away Until the 7th
Posted 7 years agoHi!
Somethings come up and I'm gonna be away for about a week. I've already contacted everyone waiting on commissions. And my etsy shop is on holiday mode until I get back on the 7th. Sorry about this! I'll still have my ipad so I won't be totally away if anyone needs to contact me.
My pins are almost ready to sell and I've nearly figured out the stickers so I'll hopefully have those on sale soon after I get back!

Store Open Charms for Sale
Posted 7 years agoStore Now Open!! https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/tashcrow
I’ve just opened my etsy store and I’ve got all my wooden monster hunter and corvid charms for sale c:
They’re £3.50 and I’ve got a deal if you want a whole set. Buy four different designs and I’ll give you the remaining one free!
The monsters come with scale charms and the corvids come with metal leaf charms. You can choose between a phone strap or a key chain.
Unfortunately there will be a delay with the blue phoenix pins. There was an issue with the plating but they’re being replaced and will hopefully be here soon! I’m also going to be adding stickers.

Halloween Monsterfy Me and Regular Commissions Open!
Posted 7 years agoSo Halloween is coming up and I figure this would be a good time to try some monsterfy-me commissions! These are grayscale only because I figured it would add to the spooky theme and I want to practice values a bit. You get the choice of a coloured accent for these as well though. These are in my detailed sketch style and are £35. Example: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/28954312/
Using poor Resi as a sample here. She's a not quite dead skull creature and I don't think she's happy about it.
When ordering please include this info, thanks!
Themes: How you want your character monsterfied (beast, vampire, multi-eyed, wings, ghost, etc.)
Maximum of three themes otherwise it’ll be a confusing mess.
Mood: Intimidating, sad, energetic etc.
Colour: If you want a coloured accent and what colour you want.

Payment up front via paypal invoice. British pound sterling £.
I send wip’s throughout the commission. The sooner you respond, the sooner I finish your commission. Please take a moment to make sure you’re happy with everything though!
Price includes two major edits for each stage. I might charge for additional edits depending on complexity. I will not change the sketch once it’s been approved for the colour stage.
I tend to work 9am-3pm on commissioned work. I don’t work on commissions during the weekends. I can give a rough turn around estimate on request.

Little Dragon Themed Commissions
Posted 7 years agoSo with the spyro hype and smaugust I’m in a very dragony mood! I’m offering to little dragon themed commissions for £25 which is a little cheaper than my usual stylized coloured sketch commissions.
Characters don’t have to be dragons already! It’s actually better for me because I get to have some fun with the design. Here’s some dragon versions of my own characters as an example: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/28431114/
Just let me know what particular features of your character you want to keep – markings, hair/fur style, small accessories.
And any features you particularly want in the dragon version – scales/fur/feathers, horns, crest, head shape, wings.

Update
Posted 7 years agoJust a little update!
I'm going to Inverness to celebrate my sisters birthday for a week. Once I get back I want to do some commissions! Partly to practice with procreate and partly to save money to get some new charms made (the monster hunter ones). I want to try to doing a theme this time, like monsterfy me, pokemon, dnd rpg theme etc? I think it could be fun but these will be optional in case anyone has a particular idea they want done. Also because the sketch will be in procreate you'll get a free timelaps of the sketch! I'll not be open till next week but feel free to suggest themes or ask any questions c:
I've been a bit more active on twitter and Instagram lately, I've been posting more wips and procreate timelapes on Instagram.
https://www.instagram.com/tashgoose/
https://twitter.com/tash_crow
Also I've been trying to get into 3d again. Just simple stuff for now but I want to start making characters once I've got a bit more practice.

Sorry for Disappearing
Posted 7 years agoHi! Not been active for a few weeks cause I've not been having a good time.
That job I was so happy to get? Turned out to be dodgy as hell and I had to leave. Only got half my pay. Plus I got the flu in amongst all that. Thankfully my parents and boyfriend have been really supportive and I've been recovering at my folks house. I'm better now and I'll be going back to Glasgow on the weekend!

Update
Posted 7 years agoI've been a bit quiet again cause I've been spending a lot of time job hunting lately... but it finally paid off!
I got a job!! Just making breakfasts and cleaning and stuff. I know it doesn't sound super exciting but after looking for work since January I'm just so relieved and happy haha. I can finally help my boyfriend with the rent again and make savings for myself! It's a fairly simple job and the staff seem nice. Only thing is I have to get up super early (6am start) but I get whole afternoon to myself, so I'll still have lots of time for art and other things. It works out really well for me.
This means I'll likely not take commissions for a while and I'm really sorry if anyone was interested in getting one. I want to work on my own stuff and get a feel for how much work I can do after being on my feet all morning. I might still do some adoptable's though.
I was thinking of starting up an online shop (through tictail or something similar) for charms, stickers, prints and the like? I want to make some nice new designs though, so I'll take a while to get organized. But if anyone could point out the kinds of things I've done that they'd like to buy or think would sell, that would be super helpful!

Commissions Closed Price Changes
Posted 7 years agoSlots are full, thank you!
Will reopen once all work is complete.
Commissions are open again!
I’ll be honest. I’ve been struggling to make even living wage (for the uk) on my commissions. I tend to spend a lot of time on the drawing. I value the drawing stage most of all and I want to do the best I can for the commission. Plus I’ve been working in pencil and cleaning up/editing digitally lately which also takes some time. Add making edits for people and just my sketches can end up taking over 3 hours.
I hope you guys understand the price changes. I want to be able to do the best I can while being able to support myself. I’m still struggling to find work so drawing is my only income and most of it goes towards helping my boyfriend with the rent.
