If you plan on merging into the next lane, check your blind spots. If someone is right there, you should speed up/slow down so that you can safely merge without pushing them into another lane.

And if the person who was occupying the exact spot you were trying to get into honks their horn at you and flips you off, you deserve it and should not stick your arm out the window and raise your finger to them. That makes you a jackass.

This is why I hate people.
