(Gaming) Star wars battlefront
General | Posted 10 years agoWell been waiting for this one for along time now. And its finally here, granted its not like the other two before it. Kinda does have that battlefield play style to it since Dice was the one that made it. I don't care really, I'm having one hell of a good time with the game. Need more ship battles though....off planets in space like the attack on the death star in Jedi. Music and the sounds effects are top notch, the roar of blasters shouting, the thuds of AT-ATs lumbering forward.
Total of nine maps right now. The most popular, and the ones I've been playing are the AT-AT assault maps. The endor one being my top pick right now, since there little ewoks running around and flying around while you fight. Though the forest speeders are hell to control. Going mach one through the forest YOLO into a tree hurts. That one issue that did come up. In the beta, the ship controls were spot on, now there VERY floaty. Need to tighten them back up again.
Long live the empire!!

So the new game from the makers of Amnesia has finally come out. Getting near the end of it, and I must say, I'm kinda meh with this title. Sci-fi horror can be good, but this title just doesn't hit it, I don't feel scared or threatened at all in the game, that and the under water walking around in the ocean is really annoying as fuck. The story is lack luster. Something hit the earth blah blah, and the last humans around made an underwater work base to build the "Ark" which is a virtual reality world where you scan your human brain in, then just....kill yourself outside of it. The monsters are lame, the mood of the place isn't there. They should have kept doing supernatural horror or something along those lines. So you're guy had head trauma, and goes to his doctor for some brain scans...POOF! you're a robot all the sudden HOKAY, you learn more down the line about it, but its just so bland.
Give it 2 jaql yaps out of 5

So I picked up Xsplit Gamecaster..
General | Posted 10 years agoFor the lulz I picked up the new Xsplit gamecaster. Was thinking about doing some lets plays with some older games, and even some newer ones. PVP videos in WoW and Hero's of the storm. Though might not happen more down the line until I upgrade my GPU. Going to mess around with it this coming weekend, see what comes out of it.
(Gaming) RANT....yup
General | Posted 10 years agoSo I've been sucking blizzards dick ever since Vanilla (shout outs to lightinghoof server). And horde blood runs deep in my veins, never liked Alliance play wise. I tried it just once and said nope.avi. I've done it all, raid hardcore and all that. But I tossed that all away back in lich king. LFR mostly now since it was put in, run without a guild lone wolf jackal here. But with the last patch. They added in something called Merc mode, which allows people in Ashrand and unrated battlegrounds to join in on the other faction and fight with them. I nearly facedesked so hard when I first learned of this, I don't pay 15 bucks a month to get my PVP on....and fight WITH alliance, I go in there to beat them up. You can see whos a merc by mousing over them and reading the tool tip, show there regular race.
There's been countless time where alliance mercs would come in, troll the hell out of us horde. Force us to lose, do things that will make us lose. There's even been reports of alliance people just going into this just to make alliance win, and guess what! there's no way for horde to turn this option off! :D
I've always been a diehard PVP nut , not just with WoW but with a lot of games. And I still love PVP in WoW, then other MMOs I've played. SwOtoR being a close second. Blizzard only did this crap, since alliance players have 25-30 minute Que times, and its screwing horde over even more. GG blizzard thanks for ruining what I like about WoW the most right now! :V

(Gaming) Zombi for PC / Xbone / PS4
General | Posted 10 years agoWell this caught me by surprise the other night. Last night ubisoft released a PC , Xbone and PS4 version of ZombiU. Which isn't all that bad of a game in its own right. ZombiU being one of the launch titles for the WiiU back then when it came out. Yeah its more zombies....but in england, the market for zombie games are over blown right now. But if there done right they're pretty damn good. Well first thing since this isn't the WiiU the UI had to be changed around A LOT since you used the touch pad for a lot of things in the regular game, now its all key bound button presses. Only a single player game so there's no multiplayer at all, game itself will clock you in about a good 14-18 hours of play as you fight your way through the different locations in merry ole England.
The quirk of Zombi is when you did its game over for you, but. You then take control of another survivor and continue on with the game, without all the gear you found though. To get it back though, you have to go back to where you died last and kill the zombie version of your past played survivor. So you will die a lot in this game, cause its easy to get surrounded by a horde at points, and besides taking regular damage. If they out reaching arms and grab you, its a one shot kill Nom nom nom...
Its a great game for the 20 bucks there asking for it on steam, be in mind you need to have Uplay since its not fully steam based right now. Which reading the forums on there, all the hate comes from having to get Uplay, OH WELL. If you didn't get a WiiU and wanted to play it, or wanted to check it out. Good port of the game, only some small added things in, different items and weapons. Overall a good bang for ya buck! <3

(Gaming!) Rocket league and Five nights at Freddy's 4
General | Posted 10 years agoJumped on the Rocket league ban wagon and not going to lie, fun as fuck. Nothing like mixing some footbaul with RC cars, how is that not win in its own right? Gets to be pretty hype when playing it, trick shots to epic saves, or being a idiot and knocking the ball into your own goal. Guilty of that... There's no flag for the country of Egypt though! #salt. Has 1v1, 2v2 , 3v3 and 4v4. But 3v3 is the bread and butter. Community is good so far in game, no haters or trolls yet. A lot of goodies you can unlock to make your car look different , different models , paints and even little hats for the car.
Which brings me to the other. Five nights at Freddy's 4...
So he promises this will be the last, even though there is going to be some free DLC on halloween, but hes not saying what its going to be. So how does ir fair up to the others? The other games still give me the goose bumps, since I do have a phobia of inanitmate objects coming to life (Those old school dolls...yeeash..) So everything now is changed, no more office and cameras. This time your playing some young kid, stuck in the house with the cast of FnaF and other things coming after you in nightmare fuel. So its a race back and forth, checking the halls, behind you at the bed, and the closet if foxy gets into it. Which makes the nights harder if he does.
Scott had to patch the game three times now, since the "breathing" cue which tells you in there outside your door was so silent, even with my good head phones I couldn't hear it. This one bring out more of the horror in a game IMO kinda. With you fighting them off at night in your house. Still a big fan of the series as a whole. See how bad they fuck up the movie!

Just to get up to speed. Its a furry like fighting game ect. But the thing is, the guyu behind it all is a total prick. This past week, he even went into my good boys Rockyway Carters stream, and disrespects the man ON HIS OWN STREAM (which is my job <3 Rocky)

(Gaming) Mortal Kombat X
General | Posted 10 years agoLate with this, since the PC port of the game was kinda messed up for awhile with bad optomization.
MKX is as solid as it can be, since its just MK9 with little small tweaks here and there and the return of the run button. But things like back dashing will take up some of that bar. So its mostly on a know how to use it well, and not mash it out like in other fighting games. Blocking is one of the key things in this one as well, and knowing where to block. Since all of the charas have high to overhead starter combo strings. So its a lot of time in the lab for me, figuring out each persons openers. Even gives ALL the frame data right in the combo menu, which is a nice added plus in my book. Frame data being how long it takes to recover from the combo / move you did, being safe or unsafe to be punished by the other person.
Like MK9 its all about them juggle up combos, a good solid string will wield up to 35% sometimes more with burning meter with special moves, or ending with the nice yummy X-ray move. A nice cast of old and new return for this. All the classics are here. To the new ones. The menu system is really nice when training, giving you EVERYTHING that the chara has, moves, specials and combos. And yes...this version is very gory then form the others, some people saying the Finishers being to detailed now on how they look that it grosses them out. This is MK..what its always been about. Jason from Friday the 13th makes his debut in this, to bad they didn't keep Freddy from 9. Who is just really OP right now, a small simple two button strain can hit for 34% of your life.
The new added thing in this version. Is that each fighter, has three different "versions" of styles, some having moves that others don't. So it ads a lot of fun to the game. Figuring out which style is best for you. The whole Faction battle thing that you're forced to pick for online, is rather weak. Doesn't really change anything.
Story mode will clock in around 5 hours, which follows a few of the charas from the game. Switching between quick timed events to regular battles. Not that bad really, not going to spoil anything in it though. Though you need to finish story mode to unlock Shinok.
The Krypt makes its return in here, whatever you do in game. You gain Koins to spend in it. Unlocking art, skins, easy one button fatalities, brutality (Which is just ending with a special move / throw that ends up killing the other person) For a cash grab the did add DLC for a one time pay of 20 bucks to unlock the whole thing. Money grab right there. Over all great game!

(Gaming) Ori and the blind forest.
General | Posted 10 years agoThis game has gotten a lot of praise since it came out, and I'm going to add in on that praise.
The game itself looks amazing, to the art style and moving backgrounds. If you have a nice comp, max those settings out and this game is a sight to behold. How fluid everything moves and comes to life around you. Sometimes I would even just stop playing to look at all the things I could see in the background!
The music as well is very well done, fits the mood of all the areas you go into. From the grassy fields, to the gloomy caves under the earth. Stepping up the tones of it when things heat up or in battles.
Game play wise its a metriodvanina, having to get power ups to get to other areas of the game, using those power ups to get other things you missed from other areas, using those powers in battle, making jumps and all that good stuff. Crawling on walls, bouncing on bad guys to get to other places on the map. You do have a life bar, that can get bigger with health power ups you find along the way, same with its magic like system. You're main attack being a little sprite that shoots LAZORZ!! and a ground pound to name just a couple.
But there are things and places, scripted events that will one shot you. And this game can get hard at times, but not the unfair kinda hard, all about good timing with jumps, air dashes all of that. Hell there's even an Ach for beating the game with no deaths, which it does even track as well. Exploring is the key thing, to find all the hidden life and magic power ups. There is a skill tree as well, since you gain EXP for killing things, finding point upgrades. Basic really, one for attack, life and magic boosting different things.
Not going to spoil the story at all in this, but I will say it hits you in the feels A LOT....don't know how many times I got misty in the eyes. Adds to the game time with finding all the hidden goodies and secrets
10/10 would cry playing it again

(Gaming) Armello
General | Posted 11 years agoI picked up this little gem of a game this past morning. Get one thing out of the way though, that gets the negative feedback on this. Was kinda a dick move to keep 4 of the hero's out of the game unless you backed there kickstarter. But they have addressed the issue and will release details later.
Getting that out of the way. The game itself is pretty fun, Strad/card/board game with RPG elements tossed into the blender to make it up. Its like game of thrones with furries. The art style is wonderful, the music is amazing. Its early testing still, so things are being added ect. The plot is simple, the king is dying and four hero's of each clan. Wolf, rabbit, rat and bear. And fighting to get the next spot on the throne, the king loses life with each day (round in the game ) you can kill him, cure him or win by getting the most prestige points, which ends up being the case of the matches I've played so far.
There is some PVP to it, or sometimes none at all when playing online. The card system is your items, weapons, spells and traps. That cost different things, spells cost magic. Weapons and armor / traps take gold or even prestige to use. You do quests with multiple choice answers, and each hero has there own strengths and weakness. Sana the bear being the more under powered right now, needs a buff! You can do into little dungeons and get random rewards, set traps for the other people. At night evil killer demon burds name banes spawn. The kings guards roam around, if you enter the castle they become hostile to all.
At the end of each round, the player with the most points gets to pick a daily card. Which can hurt or help all the players in the game.
The combat brings up a new screen, which is done with dice rolls. Adding in your armor and weapons that you have, can burn cards to get extra attacks or defence. Can even kill off each other since both the attack and counter attack hits at the same time. Its worth a look, I'm having a grand time with it so far. Online matches can take up to 30-45 minutes at a time, depending on fast people make there turns.

Ghostbusters 3
General | Posted 11 years agoSo they are going to go through with it now, slated for a next year release. A reboot of the classic movie with an all female cast playing the roles of the ole boys (shout outs and love to Harald ramies <3) Not sure if it would be the best course of action, I'm still at the "Not sure if want..." right now. The two movies were epic classics still ti'll this day in my book. So not sure if this will be a good thing, or will ruin the franchise into the ground. Got my fingers crossed though.

(Gaming) Gabriel Knight : Sins of the father HD remake
General | Posted 11 years agoFeel kinda bad, I totally forgot that this had came out in October. Jane Jensens Gabriel Knight series has really been an amazing bunch of point and click games. Well...blood of the sacared and blood of the damned sucked. But voodoo murders and the beast within are great. Hell even the books there based off of are a good read.
I picked up the Sins of the father HD remake port and have been messing around with it. For one, its a real dumbed down remake of the first game, I guess they'd think, hard as hell point and click adventure games might turn off some people. They changed a lot of things around with it, story itself is still there. But a lot of the old parts are changed around or are in different places, or how you get things are different. But I still enjoy and recomend the game itself for what it is. Not for fast paced people, there is A LOT of watching and reading conversations in this game. Big gripe I have with it, that they can hold your hand big time in it. Can just keep clicking the hint button, and after awhile, it will flat out tell you "Use this on this, give this to this person" When these game back in the day were mind bending with there puzzles.
But all in all a good blast to the past, voice work is top notch. One of those old school point and click adventure games, with a supernatural twist to it, cause dat voodoo. Don't wanna mess with it, bad karama done the wrong way :)
Wow, got too used to being a pad warrior...
General | Posted 11 years agoSo being a hardcore fighting gamer, been playing with a custom 6 button pad for the longest time. I haven't had a stick in years now, so buckled down and dropped the 150 bucks and got a nice fight stick for myself. My fingers got so used to playing on pad, that when I first plugged it in to test it out. Boy did I suck with it over the pad, need to retrain my fingers all over again XD
