PHILADELPHIA - Will trade tattoos for art help?
Posted 10 years agoSo I'm looking for someone local to roxborough (philadelphia) to assist me a few hours a month.
Unfortunately, I don't really have any disposable income at the moment, but I'm looking for someone who would be willing to be paid in tattoos. I charge $100 an hour for my largescale multiple sitting tattoos, so I'd trade 1 hour of tattoo time for 3 hours of assistant time? And I will cover gas to my apt/tattoo shop which is why I really want someone local to roxbourough/philly. I may be able to pay you once the convention season hits full swing, but tattoos are a definite. I also need someone that can consistently assist me for conventions. I cover room, tickets, gas/travel, and some food for conventions. I work anime and tattoo conventions.

I'm literally at the end of my rope, and severely need help to manage my workload. I can't do it all myself anymore. Not only do I have an intense workload, I also have a huge at home workload, and have a cat, dog and a sister to take care of. I'm so stressed out I've gotten to the point where I can't even draw. My workload is backing up and I feel like I'm drowning.
Just to give you an idea, I tattoo fulltime. I also take commissions, freelance, do conventions, run an etsy,manage social media accounts, make merch, package merch, be my own accountant, etc. I do everything myself. From managing emails to following up with clients to consultations and booking appointments, purchasing supplies, managing my books, my schedule, applying to conventions, attending conventions, pulling really long hours tattooing and drawing for tattoos and illustrations. Hell, this past year I ran an entire kickstarter myself, from file layout to sticker productions to packaging to mailing.

Sick and OMGNEWJOB?
Posted 10 years agoBeen MIA, stuck sleeping every moment I'm not working to get rid of this wicked fever cold flu throat thing. Getting back into it today!
Got offered a better job at another tattoo shop. Quitting my 9-5 office job and going to be tattooing fulltime, splitting 7 days a week between the 2 shops. Going to be living on my own merit and skills as an artist now. No more safety net. Panic attacks ensuing.
But I'm happy to finally be able to be a fulltime artist, and I can spend more time finally getting my webcomic up. And maybe open for commissions. :3

Posted 10 years agoI'm starting up a new series and would love to see what everyone's favorite monsters and beasties are. Shout it at me; points if it is super obscure. Looking for any kind of cryptids/mythological monsters/deities, etc. More animalistic than humanoid preferably.
