Well not that Discord finally has a contact list in the year of our lord 2016, it's finally usable by my standards~
So now no one has any excuse to be using Skype anymore, so if you wanna talk to me there, I am Graedius, or... Graedius@gmail.com, or #2546 -- whatever of those things you need to add people to a friend's list. I'm not super into chatting in groups so I'm unlikely to participate in any of those in any meaningful fashion, which was a big part of why I was resistant to it until now, hahah.

I still prefer Telegram however, so if you have me on both services, I'd vastly prefer if you used Telegram, just because I can access that on my phone or anywhere else. This is simply the alternate route for those who don't or cannot use it, in lieu of Skype. l3

I love Splatoon all to little tiny calimari bits, but ever since literally the day the game launched, I haven't managed to play with more than one friend at a time, on the off chance me and one other person I know happen to be on at the same time~

It's my birthday in a couple days (the 26th), and though I have the day off work, I have nothing to do, so it would be petty swank if I could have a few more cool kids to hang out with, so I can play with somebody who isn't just Japan. I know it's the middle of the week so the timing won't likely be great, but. If anyone's around, that would be cool. I couldn't expect to get 8 people, but in the unlikely event, we could do private matches and pay cool game modes on cool levels (not Moray Towers.) If only a couple people can be around, maybe we could do a ranked Squad (I don't care about the rank; the ranked modes are mostly cool, especially rainmaker).

Failing that, I'll probably just hang out and do random turf wars from like, 3pm to 6pm MST, so if anyone on my friend's list is around then, you can just join~ My NNID is Graedius, of course. If you have any comments, you can leave them below~

I have a bit of an unusual request, but I've been having difficulty with it myself and figured I might see if someone else may be able to help me. I have a couple of older commissions featuring myself that have an outdated colour scheme -- however, they're among my very favourite, and I would love to see them changed a bit to better reflect my modern raccooniness. I am not super amazing with art programs and filters and levels and all that, and am finding difficulty with it -- I really only wanna use the one as a phone background.

I tried to contact the artist about it to see if they would do an alternate version themselves, but I haven't been able to get s response after all this time -- they really aren't active anymore. That, and they're fairly old, so it's unlikely that they have the originals.

I won't link them here, but if you're interested, do let me know.

Hello my dear raccoon lovers~

This is mostly aimed at anyone in the USA who has my phone number who I have texted in the past. I recently, after 5 years, finally ponied up and got a new phone. Five years is a long time in phone years.... l3 However, in order to upgrade on a contract without buying my phone outright, I needed to change my plan to a newer one -- and in my new plan, I no longer have free texting to the USA. I'm not sure if I get charged for incoming texts, but probably, because this is Canada telecoms we're talking about here. So if you're from the USA and we used to communicate via text message with any regularity, well... Now we don't. l3

As such, I should mention Telegram Messenger again. It's the #1 place to find me these days, and the absolute best way to stay in contact with me, for all purposes. I am @Graedius on there (super cool people might get my phone number, though.). I still use Skype whenever I'm online and at my PC, but -- that doesn't happen terribly often anymore. If you have a cell phone number (it is required), and text-chat is your jam, I would super-recommend Telegram. Super light, fast-syncing, and has a mobile, tablet, and desktop client. Infinitely better than Skype for the purposes of text chat, especially in regards to the mobile Skype client.

So I was convinced to get Telegram Messenger around the time I went to Anthrocon, and it's quickly become my favorite messenger for every purpose: the cross-platform compatibility (especially phone, tablet, /and/ desktop!!) and instant log syncing, the lightweight appearance and resource load, lack of ads, and the fact that it's just for text. I'm still gonna use Skype when I'm able to and at my PC, but Telegram has definitely become my new favorite, and easiest-access to keep hold of me. So anyone can add me at @Graedius, the coolest people can exchange phone numbers, too. (But, again, keep in mind, that just since I'm opening this to anyone, doesn't mean I'm gonna be best friends with everyone.... This is mostly a blanket announcement to keep closest contact for my existing friends, although anyone is welcome to try~!)

So, as I'm sure everyone knows, I've gotten an awful lot of commissioned art in my day, (and still do every now and then) because I have mental problems.

I always felt it a bit inappropriate to upload them to my person FA gallery, as I draw my own stuff sometimes, and I didn't want to double-dip the artists' views, nor eventually draw more attention than them (I also find it personally annoying when I favorite a re-upload from a commissioner, and not the submission by the actual artist.) That said, someone discussed something with me recently that I hadn't though about -- that it could be used to kinda help gain more publicity for some smaller or lesser-known artists, since the reality is, some people know more about me through my commissioned art than they do about some of the artists I've gotten work done from... That, and some artists I've commissioned straight-up just don't upload commissions at all, so.

So with that in mind, I'm trying to think of what might be a good way to go about it. Some way or place to upload maybe 1 or 2 pictures a day, as to not flood the system. I still have my public Dropbox folder where I routinely upload and tag everything by filename, but that doesn't do much to help the issue addressed above, since actual submissions would contain descriptions and links and all that jazz. If FurAffinity only had different submission categories like every other furry art website, it would be a no-brainer as I could just set up a separate folder for all the works done by other artists, and keep my own gallery intact. Of course, there are other websites that I could do this on, too, like perhaps InkBunny or Weasyl or some such thing, since they do have that functionality. Or maybe even make a Tumblr for it?? I'm not sure if I really get Tumblr though so I dunno.

Not sure if I'll go through with it, but just welcoming thoughts and feedback~!

Hey kids. Since I'm an old man now I figured I'd just throw this out there in case anyone how's more about it than me. I wanna know if there exists any software or adding that can be used to block certain submission content or keywords on FA. I know other, better websites have these features, and I use them there -- but the reality is, most of my content still comes from here. I remember someone making a journal keyword filter once, and so don't know if such a thing is possible...? If not, that's okay, but just testing the waters to see in case there's some prominent browser add-on or something I don't know about. l3

So I will be attending Anthrocon this year, for the first time. Everyone says it's the biggest and the best, so... we'll see~

Hello again, I come to you once more asking for things that take more effort to get than I feel like exerting in hopes that one or more of my dear readers might have an extra laying around that they don't want/care about~


1) I need another Shiny Stone; I used numerous trying to create the ideal Cinccino, and have finally done so -- but now need another one, whoops. If anyone has one they don't need, I'd love to have it.

2) This is more for people who just played through the game and don't really intend on doing any post-game competitive battling or things like that -- I wanna know if I can have anyone's Leftovers, since you only get one per game. I know there's a small chance to get an additional one via the Pickup ability of a level 100 Pokémon, but I really can't be assed to level six of such Pokémon up to spend hours grinding around to maybe eventually find one. And I know I can just switch my existing one around, but frankly I'd like to have at least one more so I can have one in both my Battle Box and my Party, so I can use a tanky Pokémon in both simultaneously without having to back out and switch the item around~ So if you played through the game and are basically done with it, and don't need yours, please do let me know~

3) Even before the new mega-form was announced, I was thinking of making an Altaria; now that Mega Altaria is gonna be a thing, I would suck some serious dick for a shiny Swablu or Altaria. I got a shiny Ampharos I use as a mega, and I need to continue the trend of unbeleivably fabulous Pokémon (and shiny Altaria is gooold~) ... I don't have anything super wonderful for trade, a few Legendaries, a bunch of Pokémon with 5IVs, a buinch of Mega Stones I'm not gonna use... just let me know. l3

Just a small update on my life~

I recently changed to 12-hour shifts at work, so I work 7:00am to 7:00pm now, all the time. Three-days-on, three-days-off, in that pattern, wherever and whenever those days fall. So basically half the time, I'll be basically totally busy, with exception to a few short hours before bed time~

Beyond that, I have a friend staying with me for the next couple weeks-ish, so I'll be around quite rarely until then~ <3

Hey, kinda a long shot, but I really wanna get my hands on a Keldeo and/or Shaymin (yes, I want to touch their weiners.) That is, I wanna keep 'em! Of course, these are event-only Pokémon so they're a bit hard to find for someone like me, and the GTS is out~ Asking you guys here is basically my best bet, so how many dicks do I have to suck to get my hands on either of these guys!!

So I bought Mario Kart 8, and it's amazingly fun -- as only one could expect.
And Yoshi is so unbelievably adorable that it makes me want to plow him so goddamn hard.

But, nonetheless.
I bought a WiiU back in December and forgot to mention anything about it here, so if anyone else has one, you should totally pass me your Nintendo Network IDs, so we can spam each other's Miiverses with silly doodles and do some Kart racing~ <3

So, for a long time, I'd considered writing this journal but I've just been lazy, and had other priorities lately.

I don't like Skype, I never have. I only ended up using it for anything more than voice chats because a majority of my friends and acquaintances use it. I find it obnoxious to use in most ways, tacky, and it's chat-syncing function is much more of a curse than a blessing. I can't even log out on my phone, I'll have the client offline, and close the app, and I somehow still get messages from my desktop synced to it with push alerts. tl;dr Pumpkin pie is the superior form of pie.

I used to use MSN and AIM and stuff, but MSN is gone now, and AIM... well I'd rather use something new. Steam is alright, but I kinda like using that for games-primarily. F-list is for touching myself, and nothing else! Guess I like having single clients to serve their individual, single purposes. What do all the cool kids use these days? Gtalk, is that a thing? Izzat what all the hippin' and the hoppin' is about?

I'm not saying I am now, but at some point I'm really considering bailing on Skype for anything but voice calls, and using something much lighter and nice for text-chat~

I know this is a bit of a long shot, but I'm looking for some specific Pokémon, or better yet, specific types of Friend Safaris!
Especially now that Pokébank is out, some otherwise inaccessible Pokémon might now be kicking around~
If anyone has any of the things listed, I would love to obtain any of the following Pokémon or friend codes for Safaris:

1) Normal Friend Safari with Ditto (or, a Ditto with Perfect Attack and Speed IVs) -- everyone wants one of these, myself included! I've got like 50 people on my friends list, but not one of these yet.
2) Normal Friend Safari with Kecleon (or, a Kecleon with Protean) -- everyone with their Protean Greninjas, I tell ya. One of these guys would throw people off!
3) Normal Friend Safari with Chansey -- I just want to Thief dem Lucky Eggs.
4) Quick Feet Zigzagoon -- For me and a friend. l3

A friend of mine a while back and I were talking about Pokemon, and he posed an interesting question that I think would be fun here, if only because there's so many more people to answer, and so many of whom are awful deviants. l3 I haven't given it much thought, so I'm interested in seeing what sort of interesting responses I might receive!

If you were to choose one Pokemon to have in reality as your real life pet/friend/partner/whatever, which one would it be? The only rules are, no legendaries, gods, deities, etc. -- and Pokemon that know Transform cannot transform into other Pokemon (since it's the only one in this scenario) however it can turn into things that exist in the real world as a result. Also, no Pokeballs, that shit's gotta occupy real space with you. That said, you get any of the magical and powerful benefits they offer!

Now keep in mind, we're talking about all the consequences of living with such a beast. You're gonna need to feed it, house it upkeep it, clean up after it if necessary (as much as I like Arcanine, these three categories would all be a bit much to handle. l3~) as well as any of the hidden horrifying features that many Pokemon's dex entires shed light on (like Umbreon's toxic sweat, and Houndoom's fire that causes wounds that never heal and pain that never goes away..) Considering all realistic aspects, what would your one Pokemon be~? l3
