OOC 10 - Condolences Optional
General | Posted 3 years agoA small warning, I suppose, but this is somewhat involving euthanizing pets and their health complications. If you'd rather not look that direction, then go ahead and find some amusing memes. Maybe catch up on some book-reading you might want to do. If you're certain to continue reading, scroll on down.
I have kept a bit quiet about it for sake of mulling my thoughts over and to be certain I'm at peace with this. What happened was February 17th 2023, my pet dog had been identified as having lung cancer; inoperably invasive lung cancer. The months prior, the previous vet had ignored a gradually worsening fatty-growth upon his chest that was opening into sores, and was assumed to be the cause for this. In addition, this beloved dog had been present in the family since rescue on May 16th, 2010 (at the time, roughly 3 or 4 years old), and age along with a previous surgery removing a tumor on the legs has weakened his hips. Even if they could survive a week or more, the life lead would simply be constant pain and leaking fluids, all while struggling more and more to even get up to get to food or the outside until they probably die at home when most of the family would be out and not able to do anything about it.
For the next week, we did what we could to come to terms with this and plan when we'd be putting him to sleep. As expected for many others who have pets ailing, it was an emotional weight that inevitably comes with all pet-ownership. For my part, I ensured they got as many walks around the neighborhood and local park as could be managed, all the way until their appointment.
On February 26th 2023, they were brought to sleep with sedative overdose, sleeping to never wake again. I still do miss my dog, but I do have a keepsake with their dog-tag and this was likely for the best to avoid them being miserable. I am at peace with this, and perhaps things will be better as things go.
Rest in Peace, Buddy. Whenever my due with the reaper comes, be sure to show me to all the cool places you found. Maybe we'll figure out how to play Fetch while we're at it.

OOC 9 - Birthday 3
General | Posted 3 years agoAnother day, another year.
Still a little shaken from the mess with being phished, but I am treading-water. Hopefully things get better, especially with the outside-world always having some crisis-of-the-generation present one after the other.

OOC 8 - New Discord
General | Posted 4 years agoJust a quick thing, but added my new Discord account to info. I've been using it a little bit now, and I think now is a good time to make it available for folks to find me.
Hopefully this time I'll be more wary...

OOC 7 - Discord Account gone
General | Posted 4 years agoI'll maybe spare the details and leave it at this:
I fell for a scam related to Steam and mistake-bans, and I am banned until 2038 as well as my normal Discord Profile being no longer mine. And I also got cheated out of some money because I wasn't thinking. Now I'm without Discord and anyone who may know me from there might have to use other means to contact me. I did make a new discord, but it's going to be a long process to build back into the groups I had been cast out from because of stress and stupidity.
For sake of current security, I'm not sharing my new Discord account except with folks on Discord that I know for sure.

OOC 6 - Birthday 2
General | Posted 6 years agoAnother day, another year...
Fun.
Today has been fairly mundane for me. Nothing too special; nothing of note, really.
No party, though one or two gifts here and there. I did have a nice cake; it was chocolate.
I never did get around to that story thing I was thinking of... Maybe I should. I don't know. It just feels really hollow.
There is always next time.

OOC 5 - Preparations for Coming Celebrations
General | Posted 6 years agoAlright, so this is some months in advance, but I'm sort of thinking about the sorts of things to be on the look-out for on my next birthday or also for Christmas. It's a question this early more or less because I haven't a clue what I want to do and I likely wouldn't have an answer later on without thinking hard about it now.
Maybe I can ask for something self-indulgent and such, but that doesn't really seem like much fun... I'm sure I could come up with something.
There are a lot of interesting folks out there that'd I would enjoy having some sort of interaction between their characters and mine, but I could always fall-back on just something more generic. Hrm.
Maybe I can spitball some idea of a written piece of me being however awesome I feel like being, see if anyone thinks it's a good or bad idea along with why it would be good/bad. Probably would lean on having a Mary Sue styled plot, but at worst it'd be bad writing. Besides, ultimately there's nothing harmful in wish-fulfillment kept in the restraints of being only a thing in the realm of fiction, even if it might say a lot about the person that made it or that would like reading it.
At any rate, I'm thinking maybe just to write a simple story of just my prominent character (Gabriel Larvor the sheep-angel dude that's basically the only thing here on my profile as of now) doing the simple shtick of arriving someplace to fight some big bad evil guy.
Without really having the details of the plot set in stone, it'll probably just start with Gabriel arriving via portal and being asked if he's a bad enough dude to save the king's daughter. He says he'll totally do it, and he goes off to kick the ass of the evil wizard that stole the girl. Skeletons and Zombies to be vaporized in Micheal Bay explosions. Then Gabriel kicks the door open and wastes any of the higher-level mooks standing in the way. He then goes up the stairs to confront the evil wizard with melodramatic speeches and one-liners; magic beam-struggles and the power of [insert corny or cheesy ideal] overpowering the evil wizard. Gabriel gets the girl and returns her to the kingdom, with the king approving of the princess and Gabriel getting together. Closing shot on the two kissing, plus maybe a for-fun epilogue with the princess and Gabriel getting lewd together.
That's more or less my thoughts at the moment that I feel like broadcasting at the moment. Tune in for whenever I decide next to ramble.

Promotional 1 - Alex the Catte
General | Posted 6 years agoA brief bit of a side-track, but I was thinking that I might as well try to join the raffle here as well as others; there's still ample time to try your chances to being picked.
Anyway, Alex seems nice enough. I don't think I've really done much to warrant anything specific, but overall, they're kind and polite and understanding and all that, so they're approachable at the very least. Just head to the link embedded above to see the requirements and to attempt an entry.

OOC 4 - Birthday
General | Posted 7 years agoA bit late in the day now, but it's my birthday this 24th of January (21 years of age now)
Not exactly sure what to do now, other than maybe talk with folks and fiddle with personal projects. Mm...
Anyway, here's to hoping for another good 21 years and more for me.

OOC 3 - Flying Time
General | Posted 7 years agoIt's late at night as I'm making this; tomorrow is Christmas Day (though some folks are calling it early on the Eve).
In a month from now, my birthday is coming. Woo... It's about as momentous as opening a booster pack of cards for your choice of Children's Card Game. Jokes aside, I'm still intent on going on and handling business. Maybe on my birthday I'll treat myself to doing... something. I dunno. Just something for fun for my own enjoyment.
There's not much I have to say besides that, I think. Anyway, Merry Christmas to everyone.

OOC 2 - Christmas Time Sort-of-Wishlist
General | Posted 7 years agoI am sort of worried about what all to put here or about even putting it up here at all, but I think it'd be good to just say it and verbalize it into text. So for all the watchers who read this, here's what all I had on my mind with how the season is coming along:
Off the top of my head, I guess it'd be nice to try and have an art thing of Gabriel in a robotic form (Aeromorph or latex-android or clockwork or nano-machines or whatever other such stuff).
Another is maybe to work on a story thing that can have Gabriel with some other person's character. It's not exactly set in stone what I'll actually put in the story or who'll be showing up, but it's just something I'm wanting to do and am working on.
Speaking of writing, I'd also probably like help with setting up full information about the sort of stuff that make up Gabriel as a character, usually in relation to things like what is magic to him and how do angels work and what about God or other gods and so on. Again, something I'm working on and wanting to do, but it's still kind of a huge WIP...
I do kind of also want to get some specific artsy stuff that would show off stuff like Gabriel in the view of him having numarical power as rated within various RPG systems. Think like DnD or Pokemon or Pathfinder or Call Of Cthulu or so on; there's a lot of options out there.
Another thing I'd be interested in getting, in relation to the earlier mentioned art, I'm sort of wanting a mega-sized ref sheet that shows off like, a LOT of different parts to Gabriel. The Clipped Angel, True Angel, and Mortal versions of him, his appearances of each in something more Human-looking, his appearances of each in Pokemon, his appearances in different art styles like a super detailed Realistic kind or a super expressive Cartoony kind, etc. Maybe also like different outfits that'd be worn. It's a big thing, sure, but it'd probably help a lot for getting an idea of what the guy is supposed to look like.
Anyway... I'm probably sure I'm missing some other stuff, but this is just the things I can think of that can be applicable to posting on here to FA.

OOC 1 - Testing Waters
General | Posted 7 years agoHowdy there.
To all my watchers and whoever else may have come across my account, I'd like to ask a simple question: Are Writing Commissions as valuable as Art Commissions?
This is a bit of an awkward question, so lemme try to explain it better. What I mean is that I'm curious about Trades and their relation to writing submissions. After all, an artist trading with another artist is as common as reasonably expected (that's to say, I haven't seen it done regularly on the principle that artists still have bills to pay, usually). In this case, it's a little curious as to how the visual is more desirable than the text, even if both would be well made to a request.
I'd say I'm a middling writer with potential to become better as well as no experience in running any sort of business, so it'd be good to ask this now before actually trying to put on any sort of Trade or Commission information.
