Arting!

It's going to involve these people in the drawing

Random thought of the day...
General | Posted 11 years agoI've had this thought in the past, but it only resurfaced with seeing a commercial.
At the end of just about every PlayDoh commercial you hear, "Fun to play with! Not to eat." Let's stop and think about this phrase for a second. If you've ever played with the stuff as a kid, there is nothing, at least I would think nothing, appealing about trying to eat it. I mean, it has an odd flavor, and since we do a majority of our tasting with our nose, it can be only assumed that no child would ever eat PlayDoh. But with most of the commercials, as far back as the 90's that I know of, they have always ended their commercials that way. And on a side note, I can see that sometimes PlayDoh may smell like a food to some kids, but........BUT! If you don't want kids to eat your product that isn't made for eating...........WHY ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH WOULD YOU MAKE ACCESSORIES FOR PLAYDOH THAT WILL MOLD IT INTO FOOD!!!! If the child ate PlayDoh that was molded into fold, and was told by a friend that it was gummy food, which there has been a gummy burger at least, as a prank, then PlayDoh should have never put out another molding kit that would make PlayDoh look like food. But here we are in 2014 with PlayDoh releasing products that mold it into food.

Question
General | Posted 11 years agoI've been thinking about a particular question after watching the Creationism vs. Evolutionism debate with Bill Nye. And I was hoping maybe someone here on FA can shed some light on the matter.
But before I get into that, allow me to add this. I am a Christian, though I do slip, but I am an open-minded one. Meaning that I won't throw any opinions away just because they don't reflect my personal beliefs.
Now onto my question: Assuming we all came from the primordial ooze, why do we have different languages? I only ask because wouldn't be beneficial to all of us to speak the same language? If not, how did the different languages come to be?

RP's
General | Posted 12 years agoI'm going to have a to take a break from doing rp's, especially the adult kind. It's taking a toll on me because I believe it's so far from how I normally am that my normal side and my wild side are at war with each other. And I don't want my wild side to win because I'm scared of what I may do or become. *shudders at the thought.* I'm going to try and take a break from rp's for one month to see if it affects my attitude for the better. If it does, I'll have to be careful on how often and what I say in future rp's.
Personal dilemma
General | Posted 12 years agoAs some of yu may know, I didn't get into Vet School. The thing I need most is to get more clinical hours to improve my chances. The problem is that most places don'thave any openings, not even volunteer work. So my dilemma is this, do I continue trying to get clinical work to improve my chances, try to find a suitavle career using my Poultry Science degree, go back to school to get a master's, or go back to school to get a degree in something else entirely? The only problen in all of these things is one simple thing,.......... money, which, I don't have much of, and quite a bit that I have to pay back.
art advice
General | Posted 12 years agoI've been wanting to try and do black and white art, but I have no idea on how to do shading or even getting the different shades right. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.
Words of Encouragement
General | Posted 12 years agoI know that some of you don't believe in God, but I got to thinking about some of the things that I've learned, especially today at church, can be used as plain advice for others. So in this journal, I'm going to hopefully give some advice that you will take to heart.
One thing that I couldn't wrap my head around as a Christian, was that when I asked for forgiveness, how could I still get into heaven though I still sin? Well, I finally figured it out. As Christians, when we ask for forgiveness, God wipes our slate clean. He forgets what we have done in the past, which allows us to look to tomorrow with our heads held high. So from a non-believer standpoint, when you ask someone for forgiveness, or when someone asks you, forgive them, and forget the past transgressions. I know this is harder than it sounds. But give it a shot, and hopefully you'll find that you're better off this way.
As we all make New Year resolutions, treat each new day as a new year. A way to make yourself better than you were yesterday. As each new day is a new beginning. If you do this, you'll hopefully look to the future with hope, and as I sometimes say, "If you dwell in the past, you fail to see the goodness that awaits in front of you."
*bows respectfully* I hope all of you have a great day.

FA Grant a wish
General | Posted 12 years agoThis was such a fantastic idea! I filled this out last year and ACTUALLY got results! This was such a great idea as it allows people to help out others on FA. ^^ Spread it around, guys!
Step 1
Make a post in your journal containing your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple to really big. The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real-life things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where folks could get in touch with you.
Step 2
Surf around other lists to see who has posted their list. If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream for free--do it. You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special
Step 3
The List:
1. If at all possible, a plane ticket or some way for me to get to California. (Need to go see someone)
2.Assassin's Creed (360)
3. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (360)
4. Assassin's Creed Revelations. (360)
5. Art of my dragon Kagrin and
's wulfette in a romantic setting
6. A "Keep your friends close and keep your enemies within range of your Primary weapon" shirt from the Rooster Teeth Store. (XL)
That's all that I really want, though the first one is the most important to me. If you need to contact me for anything other than the fifth one on my list then e-mail me at kagrindragoon[at]yahoo.com

Tribute
General | Posted 12 years agoThose of you furs that live in America are hopefully aware that tomorrow is Veteran's Day. I'm here to say that I'm thankful for all those who have served, are serving, and those that are in basic training. Thank you all for your service.
*Salutes them all. And then looks up to the sky*
Rei, thank you for your training to be in the Air Force, Ria and I still miss you, but we know you look down upon us with a smile. And that goes to all those who have died during service. Thank you all.

3DS and Pokemon
General | Posted 12 years agoI'm finally posting my friend code for all of my watchers to add. :4596-9651-8397
The name I use on it is Kagrin.
On a different note, once the Pokemon bank becomes available, I will need all of your help because I want to fully complete my Pokedex. For the legendaries from Diamond and Pearl, I will trade them back to you if you want to keep them. I don't care about using them in battle. I just need them recorded in my Pokedex.

*aproaches a podium*
General | Posted 12 years agoPeople say that in order to s start a change, one must step forward to initiate said change. That's what I hope to accomplish with this journal. I know this world isn't perfect, nor will it ever be. However, we can try to get close. Through my personal journey through this adventure called life, I have realized one thing for certain. When it comes to people, there is no such thing as races, but just one race, the human race. So in order to make this world a better place, we need to stand together and try to understand each other. I don't care if you're straight, gay, bi, or what ethnic you are, even beliefs doesn't matter, we are all of one kind, human. We need to take the time and care for one another because in reality, no one is better than someone else. True our talents might be miles apart, but we all have weaknesses. When we stand together, we overcome those weaknesses. When that happens, there's nothing we can't overcome. Some of you reading this may not agree with me with what I'm saying, and to that I say, "that's alright." All that matters is that we start right now to change the world to a better place.
I thank you for taking the time to read this. If you feel like it, pass the word along so that we might be able to start making the change for the better today.

General | Posted 12 years agoA word of encouragement
General | Posted 12 years agoI got to thking about this today, and I wanted to share it with everyone that reads my journals.
No matter what you're going through, and no matter how alone you feel, someone is always with you. There's always someone out there that cares for you and wishes the best for you. I try to be that way for my friends and the people I consider my family. Those that know me both through here and irl, can attest to that the caring, kind attitude I show on here is the way I treat people outside the internet. So if anyone ever feels like no one cares about you, know that I do, and I will do anything within my power to show and give the love, compassion, and kindness that everyone on this Earth deserves. As I've said in my earlier journal, people are my treasure, and is precious to me.
In short, if anyone needs a listening ear or just wants to chat, feel free to send me a message.

Art slump
General | Posted 12 years agoI've been the longest art slump of my life. I don't have the muse like I once did. Once I do get a slight muse, the stuff I sketch feels like it's crap, so it instantly gets me out of my muse. I don't know what to do anymore. I hate that I haven't really posted anything in a while, but I want to be able to post something that I feel is worthy to post here. And so far I haven't felt like I'm up to snuff to post anything here.
Something I need to get off my chest
General | Posted 12 years agoI've been feeling like crap recently, and it's mostly due to money issues. Bills, student loans, and application fees are what sucking up what little money I have left. Now I know that some of you may be going through worse things than I'm going through. It's just this journal is to help get this off my chest and get my mind passed this for the time being. I do have a job, but it doesn't pick back up until later next month. I've been trying to find another job, but to no avail.
Now I'm not asking for donations or anything to that affect for two reasons. 1. It's not a pride thing, it's just that I can't take donations for the time being because of not having a paypal or anything like that. 2. Even if you did donate, I probably wouldn't accept it. Again it's not due to pride.
Anyway if you took the time to read this, I appreciate it. I'll try and get something in the works to get things sorted out for myself.

It's. official.....
General | Posted 12 years agoI'm 25! My parents are taking my brother and I out to eat tonight. I'm looking foward to it.
There is some bad news though, my great-grandmother isn't doing well. She may not have a lot of time left because her lungs are filling with fluid. She's been a great part of my life, but when she does go, she can finally reunite with my great-grandfather.

Update on life
General | Posted 12 years agoWell I'd been gone for about the last week because of some computer issues, but now those are fixed. The bad news is that after today, I may be gone for about another week. I'm going home to spend time with my family, and to celebrate my nephew's third birthday, though his birthday was last week. Then I may stay to celebrate my birthday, and Ria's of course, with them (Which is where the might be gone for another week comes into play). If I stay the week, I will see you all when I get back,

TV!!!
General | Posted 12 years agoRia and I might get to be on TV. There's a show called Hotel Hell, and they're going to be filming an episode nearby. I sent an e-mail and sent a survey, and they let us in! We go in sometime tomorrow, but I also have to go by hair and make-up. I don't really know the show all that much, but some of you may be fans of the show, so be on the look out. For those of you that don't know the show here's a link to give the basic idea of the show. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hotel_Hell
Letting everyone know....
General | Posted 12 years agoThat starting tomorrow, I won't be on here for a week. I'll be working the Hangout Music Festival. So if any of you that are in the area, let me know, and maybe we could hang out while I'm off of work.
Either way see you all in a week.
Either way see you all in a week.
Personal update
General | Posted 12 years agoSorry for the absence. I went home last Wednesday to be with my mother while she was in the hospital. She's fine now, and got to go home yesterday, finally. She's mad a full recovery and will be recovering for the next six months or more. The stroke killed a walnut-sized portion of her brain, but so far that hasn't caused much problems.
I ask that everyone....
General | Posted 12 years agoPray for my mother. If you're not religious, please keep her in your thoughts. My mom may have just suffered from a stroke about an hour or so ago. I'm not home with them, so I don't know when it was. My dad is with her at the hospital right now, and they got there about ten til one this morning. I'll keep you posted as soon as my dad notifies me of what the doctor tells him.
Update: She did have a stroke, and she's coming out of it. While she had the stroke, the left side of her face drooped. To fix it, the doctor is going to give her a medicine to thin her blood. The downside to this is that if she has an extremely small hole in her veins or arteries, then it could take a turn for the worse. I'll let you know if it works or not.
Update#2: The medicine did its job, and she's recovering while getting the strength back in her face. They'll keep her over night and keep an eye on her.
