On the subject of birthday pics
Posted 10 years agoSo I have been doing a lot of birthday stuff lately and I figured I'd address the topic a bit before anyone ends up feeling either left out or spoiled rotten. My main reason for drawing birthday pics is because I want to give that person something for their birthday. Shouldn't be too big a shock. This is when I end up drawing one or two images.
A second reason that might apply is that there is something I've been meaning to draw for ages and said birthday gives me both an excuse and a deadline. This is when birthday pics turn into birthday series. These are not just for the birthday boy/girl but also for myself.
Soooo... if you happen to get a single pic while somebody else gets a whole series, certainly don't take it personally. It simply depends on whether or not inspiration hit me or not (and whether my doodling went well enough).

Stoopid daylight savings time
Posted 10 years agoNow I'm awake an hour earlier than usual! And based on experience, it'll probably take ages for me to adjust again. Ah well, at least I can get some doodling done in the morning, so there's that... I will need to if I'm going to hit my deadlines >.>
Ask me (or my characters) anything!
Posted 10 years agoFunny, really. The actual surgery isn't too bothersome, but the bandage that insists on shifting around while I'm sleeping and the fact that I can only half-wear my glasses is. That, and the utter boredom of not really being able to focus on anything in particular without getting exhausted.
Soooo, since I'm bored, I figured I might as well do another round of "ask me (or my characters) anything". What would you like to know?

Bluuuuuurry
Posted 10 years agoThe bandages aren't too bad and all, but the inability to wear my glasses properly is a bit annoying. Fortunately I can type blind, so at least I can write even if I can't read it back easily. The operation seems to have gone well, so let's hope it stays that way!
Surgery
Posted 10 years agoI shall be going into surgery again tomorrow, so I shall be absent for about a day. I get to spend the night there.
Artsy feedback
Posted 10 years agoPersonally, I get the impression that my art has been all over the place lately, what with mosquitaurs and ponies and such. That makes me curious how you feel about my stuff.
- Is this stuff you enjoy or is it "oh god, there he goes again"?
- Should I draw more of certain stuff?
- Less of other stuff?
- Is there anything in particular you'd love to see?
- *insert more artsy questions here*
No need to specifically answer these questions, btw. General observations are just fine as well :)
In before Sailoranna telling me I should draw more in general, btw ;)

The scores are in
Posted 10 years agoAfter having subdivided my gallery into some folders, I now have some stats for once. There appear to be a shocking 39 pics involving the lion, though Carbon has everyone beat at 50. Natalie isn't doing too shabbily at 32 while Nicole is bringing up the rear with 3.
That's my characters, though. Apparently I've drawn 47 images involving one or more of Sailoranna's characters as well as 39 involving Melissa and cohorts (or is that the other way around). There are 8 Valyncia's and 5 ligers; last but not least, there's one single Stush!
I can finally keep score :D

Idle observations
Posted 10 years agoDid you know that the artist can see who faved the image by clicking on the number beneath the image? I did not! Well, not until I saw a commentor mention it on someone's journal.
Did you know it has been 62 images since I last posted a pic where all the characters are mine? It goes up to 80 if you try to find the last pic that isn't part of a series involving other people's characters.
Did you know that you can always ask me or my characters anything, even if it's not in the title of the journal!
Did you know I just sorta jumped when my alarmclock started making noise in the other room... apparently I had forgotten to turn it off when I got up early.
Did you know I'm going to post this now as it is getting kinda silly... besides, should go eat breakfast and such anyhow!

YCH: Beach shenanigans
Posted 10 years agoThings seem to have quieted down enough to close it, I'd say. I've made my decision and now all that remains is the actual drawing of the final picture.
In the mean time however: some observations!
1. No bribery! No blackmail! Really?! This is how you think to convince me?! :P
Seriously, though... a few of the answers were a bit um... minimal in nature. Sorta had been hoping on more of a description on why they'd be there and how they ended up in that position. Marmelmm got the idea, I'd say, but he must've missed rule 1 when he started implying Simon and Carry would be on the beach, going at it together ;)
2. Other than NutjobGTO suggesting Slippy for the male position, nobody even volunteered another's character! Nor did any of you conspire with others to win two slots together!
3. None of my close friends made any posts. From what I could tell, most wanted to avoid favouritism. Little did they realise that said favouritism would likely have worked against them, as I would've felt guilty for not giving the non-regulars a fair chance. So if anything, they would've had to be extra convincing :P
Anyhow... so far it's been an interesting experiment. Let's see whether I can do the picture justice :)

Posted 10 years agoI'm pretty sure my watchers and Sailoranna's watchers have a fair bit of overlap, but for those who aren't watching him, I'd just like to point out the awesome pics he drew for my birthday! Go look and comment and such!

Boredboredboredbored (aka ask me anything)
Posted 10 years agoWoke up early and couldn't get back to sleep, so I'm currently sitting here being quite bored. I'll be eating pancakes later on today, so I at least have that going for me. Then again, me waking up early just means it takes more waking hours to reach pancakes... hmmm... troublesome...
Odds are none of you will even respond before I have to go to work, but eh... I can give it a try. How about another round of "ask me (or my characters) anything"! What have you always wondered about that you think I might have the answer to!

My likes and dislikes
Posted 10 years agoSailoranna and I had a bit of a discussion this morning on what kind of stuff I like to see in art, so I figured I'd try to put it into words more properly. Note that these are by no means the only things I like, so here's a few:
Beeeewbs
Pretty much can't go wrong there, unless they make up half the bodymass or more. Likewise for breast expansion, though similar limits apply, of course.
Big things disappearing into girls
Noooo, not a quadruple cheeseburger... toys, penises... if it's phallic, it's probably good to go. There are limits of course... Walking-funny-for-a-day is fine, but none of that hyper cock-sleeve kind of stuff, unless ofcourse the size-difference is for comedic value. Good old Doug Winger is one of the few whose hyper stuff is usually just fine, exactly for that reason.
Ordinary situations getting out of hand
Things that just went that little bit further than might've been prudent. A game of dare; a lapse of judgement; getting carried away.
People being embarassed could be considered sort of a corollary on this, as usually it involves things not quite going to plan. Probably why I like most stuff involving Rayne, as those around her tend to get out of hand, much to her embarassment :P
Dislikes
As for dislikes: the main one would be people being forced or caused pain. I like my stuff consensual. I like to feel that all people involved should be able to go home without regrets.
Also no scat, no waterworks, no blood. Seriously not my cup of tea.
P.S. I considered using the word "fetishes" in the title, but I feel that's a stronger word for it than I want it to be. Besides, it's technically inaccurate as well as the dictionary defines it as "any object or nongenital part of the body that causes a habitual erotic response or fixation.", emphasis on the word "nongenital". Apparently you can't have a boob-fetish :P

One more month
Posted 10 years agoSince I know some among you prefer an advance warning - looks pointedly at sailoranna - I'd just like to mention that in exactly one month it will be my birthday and I will turn even more ancient than before! So the 28th of May.
Also, more pictures will come, but first I need to finish this last book. Soon, I will finally know how the wheel of time ended!

Inspiration
Posted 10 years agoI've been seriously lacking in motivation and inspiration lately. Now, the motivation is something I'll have to work on myself, but I figured you guys might be able to help with the inspiration part, soooo...
I'm looking for ideas for stuff to draw. No guarantees that I'll actually draw them, but maybe one will catch my fancy and finally get me off my ass and doodling again!

Ask me (or my characters) anything!
Posted 11 years agoIt's been a while again and since then I've posted Carbon and Natalie getting naughty, so I decided that it was time for another round of ask me anything!
So what deepest and darkest secrets* of me or my characters would you like to know?
* Not all deepest and darkest secrets may be revealed.

Trevor's game - the facts
Posted 11 years agoMotivation
First off, a bit about my motivations behind drawing this series. Note that these should be considered in no particular order:
Originally I had intended these pics to be a set for a strip poker game; hence the roughly one clothing-piece-per-pic pace of the first 6 images. Unfortunately I ended somewhat stuck in a rut for a month or so and by the time it was over, it was too late to finish the coding as well. So you all got lucky, cause otherwise I would've made you work for it ;)
Another reason to draw this was because Sailoranna always insists that nobody's interested in Trevor. Well, guess what... you were wrong, Sailoranna! Besides... both he and the girls deserved to have a bit of fun!
One other reason is that Tracy and Violet attended Carbon's party and much fun was had! It was great fun doing these back-and-forth images and it really inspired me to draw regularly. Consider this my thank-you for that.
And finally, corrupting the "innocent" is such fun ^^
Fun/interesting facts
- I had to adjust Carbon's fur-colour a little as her usual fur-colour really sorta clashed with Trevor's fur.
- These are actually the first pictures ever of Carbon having sex with anyone. And before you ask: No, I'm pretty certain she wasn't a virgin anymore. ;)
- I never once lied to Sailoranna about what I'd been upto lately. For example, I told him I was doing a short series of pics with Natalie and Carbon. I just forgot to mention Trevor :D
- No Trevors were harmed in the making of this series.

I be bored... ask me anything
Posted 11 years agoSo much time for myself and so little I get done thanks to the distracting presence of a bandage around my head. So I figured I might as well do this again for a change:
ask me or any of my characters anything!

...and back again
Posted 11 years agoFood still tasted a bit funny yesterday, so here's to hoping it'll be better today (milk in particular tasted exceptionally foul). Other than that things seem to be okay so far! Now to spend another week with my glasses at a crooked angle...
Surgery
Posted 11 years agoJust a heads up (again) that I'll be having surgery done today, so I may be a bit absent for a while. I get to spend the night, but after that I should be home again for a week.
And thus the party ended!
Posted 11 years agoWith Pay attention! it looks like Carbon's party has now pretty much come to a close. I greatly enjoyed the series and I hope you lot did so too! It certainly was a lot of fun :)
Since I didn't get much of a response the last time I asked this, I figure I'll try this question again. To you, my watchers, what did you think...
1. What did you think of the party-experiment?
2. If you ever considered joining the party, what made you decide against it?
3. Anything you think I could/should do for future experiments?
Either way, enjoy the series!
P.S. I can't guarantee that there won't be an after-image. When I first saw Tracy's dress, I decided I wanted to see how Carbon would look in it. Might still end up drawing that :P

It's mah birthday!
Posted 11 years agoIf birthday candles came in packets of 6, you'd need 6 of em with none to spare! Why yes, I'm getting old enough that I feel the need to 'hide' my actual age :P
Anyhow, cake and drinks and snacks for everyone! And though I realise my previous post was an "ask me anything" one, I'd like to offer you all the chance to ask me or my characters anything once again! So ask me anything!

Posted 11 years agoFor some time now I've kept There's a party at Carbon's... as my topmost journal post to provide a bit of advertisement, but now that it has dropped down anyhow, I figured I might as well start using this journal again :P
So since I haven't done this for quite a while: ask me or my characters anything you'd like! I'll try to provide you with suitable answers :)

Posted 11 years agoSurgery all done for now. Unfortunately I get to do it all again later this year as he wasn't quite able to fix it all of the way. For now though, things are looking fuzzy... literally... got surgery on my ear, but that means I have a huge bandage on it right now and that sorta interferes with wearing my glasses :P
Guess I may be reading a lot of books the coming days!

Surgery (and some minecraft pics)
Posted 11 years agoJust a heads up that I'll be having surgery done tomorrow, so I may be a bit absent for a day or two (should also be going back home tomorrow).
Now with the boring stuff out of the way, time for some screenshots of my (latest) minecraft base. When I started messing around with forestry's trees, I realised that my island base (and harbour... sorta borrowed the big ship's design from elsewhere) was a bit cramped for it, so I set out to build a somewhat more roomy place:
Arboretum
I may have overdone it a bit as this one straddles about a 7x7 chunk area. I have to say that the "fractal" approach works pretty well for building expandable bases. Ironically, once I was done with the main-buildings, I sorta got sidetracked from growing trees and ended up trying to automate magic crops (which are intentionally not automatable through forestry and MFR's farms, from what I could tell):
Farm 1
Farm 2
The building is essentially complete. Now I just need to program the turtles that should be farming the damn thing. You see, I learned that turtles can in fact plant and harvest magic crops. Unfortunately, letting a turtle harvest them directly won't give you any magic essences (just the plant's seeds and specialized essences), so I had to get a bit cleverer.
The design is such that a turtle will move up to a field and power the redstone there. This will activate some pistons that cause water to flow over the entire field, washing away the plants and producing seeds, special essences, magic essences, and nature essences. All these wash to the brick edge at the front, where the turtle then picks them all up before replanting the field. In theory it all works. In practice I've got it somewhat working as well, but making it survive chunk-unloads and server-resets is tricky business.
P.S. Yes, that is 3072 squares of farmland down there >.>
