Well I am here to scream and cry about the fact that not just has the game From Dust been delayed - but it's also been delayed JUST for the PC. What confuses and really annoys me here is that you don't WANT to piss off the PC fan-base, other than that you'll lose sales because us PC-gamers are clearly superior to console gamers in every way and we know it and love it - (huhuhuh) but seriously the main reason is quite simply. When a PC gamer get's impatient and they want a game that bad - it's really not difficult just to go 'fuck this' and buggering off with their money to go torrent it. Right now I'm pretty sure all the torrents available for it are fake, but with our impatient cracking skills I wouldn't be surprised if they get it within a week or so - ready for quick and easy torrenting.
So congrats on giving Xbox live the early release date I'm sure everyone will now be flocking to buy an Xbox 360 just for this game. -facepaw- Seriously. You'd have thought that developers would understand that if you're going to delay a game and annoy people - don't give people from live who don't care about the game in the slightest special treatment. I mean really now, this is like giving a free bus pass to a taxi driver. I'm sure he'll except it and say thanks but really we all know it's useless.

And Yes I WILL cry some moar! OOHHWAAAHHH!!

I kinda need some advise from the better writers or just people smarter than me on these things - e.g. everyone, so please go ahead.

What should i be doing with my story?
I've been wondering what you and the audience lot are looking for in my story? Short chapters which don't exceed more than 2000 or 3000 words maybe? or long beast chapters like the teaser.
Either way I can see problems with both, if i make each chapter long i may lose your interest, and I'd rather not be doing that - a story is meant to be interesting after all.
On the other hand I find with story's in short bursts tend to lose momentum and focus on what they're trying to get at, at the time.

So then, I'd appreciate any advise you can give me, I've seen many new writers be too ambitious and fail because what they wrote was too long and people never read it, and hence they never finished it.

Of course any other advise is just as awesome too.

Since people get spammed journals constantly, there's no point putting this one down anyway as it'll never get read! But here's to anyone who actually still reads my journals.

Put quite simply, Recently, I've been feelign creative again and am going to probably get back to writing asap, in fact i only write this journal to warn you - I'm going to release a new story - one that hopefully i can continue for a LONG time, since unlike the previous one, i have planned out a bit better - so I'm going to release a small teaser soon, in fact I'll get to writing it the second I've done typing this! That should draw back the attention of half of you lot who probably think I'm dead xD


Oh and also - if you're reading this, I DO have a bunch of characters set out for this already but I ain't to good with names, so if you can think of one - please don't use your own or something used by someone else - then please comment here, I'll probably end up using it for a character, major or minor so heck go ahead - have you honestly got anything better to do if you're reading my journal?

Now really. A lot of shit hit the fan today.
Two of my greatest friends split up from being mates today (one of whom i actually got a crush on but ignore that >.>)

Then while i was trying to deal with all this my friend who was also drawn attention to this noticed this and decides to quit the fandom because of all the drama saying "Maybe I'll be back" etc - you know the kind ;)

Now the point of all this is that I'm now rather amused because despite him being my best friend and that i should feel sorry for him - i feel like he was a jerk doing so and i only took A LOT of amusement when he changed his name from "*name* the wolf to *name* the kick-ass duck.
In the light of all that happened this is just amazing. Seriously!
This even cheered up the 2 who split up slightly. You don't just have to bean attention whore and leave the fandom - oh no you do it in style and become a mother fucking duck!!

I seriously find this simply incredible but now I'm beginning to think this should be the solution to everything bad.

Well hello my 35 watchers - you'll be glad to know my exams are now over and i have the summer holidays to do some writing!

But some bad news for the 2 people i promised commissions: I've decided agaisnt doing them - i'm very sorry, i shouldn't have promised em in the first place - but you know - i'm a starting writer so if i had done them they'd probally turn out to be pretty bad anyway.

I've been waiting for about an hour and a half to post this journel but people on FA pick the best time to replky to comments....


Anyways I was thinking (yep back to my old boring, thinking self) on DNA manipulation, cloning and all the rest of the biological....STUFF and thought to myself - why haven't we misused it all yet? People say 'moral issues' but come on!
-We've used physics to get nukes
-We've used chemitery to produces acids that are made to melt human skin
So why haven't we used biological advances to change DNA to our advantage? And yes of course there are practical reasons, such as it's very hard to get 'good' DNA and that finding the correct DNA to change to your advantage is buggery hard (we share 50% of our DNA with a bannana ffs!)

But really though - i've wondered why people haven't worked on it more. Surely the idea of a 'better life' (or anything else you can change from DNA) due to DNA manipulation ect is appealing?
So what about morality issues?! It didn't stop nuclear weapons or biological weapons - so why not things such as this?


I was thinking of this because I was also thinking if it was ever to become or create a real furry (as in anthro animal, with human ablities) and hence why I came here - alot of furries (not all i know don't worry) i know agreed that if they had the option to become their fursona or otherwise they would!

So my questions to you 13 watchers lot is quite simples - if you agree that you would become a furry if you could (and i mean seroiusly now, try to think realisticly, not all the stereotypical stories you see on here) Do you also think it will ever be possible? Will we humans ever overcome our morality issues?

I'm not talking about in our lifetimes - give up on that now, but i mean in the distant future (being anything from about 500years to 500million - literally anything) and if that's the case will furries still be around then to enjoy it?

After 15hrs i sleep, i've been awake just about 16hrs and i'm tired! What is this madness?! I've had 6hrs sleep before and been awake at least 24hrs before even yawning!

The walk that was meant to be inspiration for my work put me in a brilliant mood and that'd be fine if it'd go away! I can't help being happy!
Seroiusly i just wanted inspiration for my work, all this good mood has made me offer and explosive cheese left right and centre! Whatever is in this....air it's terrible, i preffered it when i was slightly unhappy, all this good moodness has left me insane!


Anyways now that's out of my system i thought i'd just tell anyone who's actually bothering to read my terrible work that i'm probaly going to give up on the story for a while until i can get some new ideas...

Well that meme has strange views on being happy... despite my rating i'm feeling O.K with my life to be honest. Although i probally could be feeling better also.

In good ol' somerset we got some nice open rural areas, and luckily where i live we also got some great hills to walk on. I took a walk up there and felt the most relaxed i have in ages and if it hadn't gotten dark and if i'd been on my own i probally would have stayed there for alot longer.

I got to thank pierrot90 's for the pictures of his holiday and his encouragement for actually telling me to go outside (kind of ironic isn't it that someone from the internet convinces me to go outside! - the internet is meant to drag you in and steal your life after all)


And just for everyone who doesn't give two shits about my personal life and just wants me to write more i'm going to tell you know i'm still running low on ideas and i have no idea when the next chapter will be out, but do not expect soon.

O.K I really hate the idea of bringing personal problems onto FA but i've noticed a few people have already, so heck i'm not the only one - lets do this!.

Heres the situation:
I'm big on reading and have a collection of books my parents bought me ect, now i've got a problem, my parents like me reading but they know noubt about my furry hobbies and online reading material, hell they don't even know i'm bi! and i certinally don't like the idea of me telling them.
That's not the problem, that ones easily solved, it's a hobby, no point in telling them ect.

My problem is that there's a furry novel been writen and i dam as hell want to buy the book to read, in fact i'm eager as hell to read it, it's called 'Bridges' (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3394155) I'm content with paying for it and ordering it I run into two problems.
One i live with my parents and i'm sure they'd be intrested to know that a parcel arriving for their son who ussually never orders anything himself arrives and since the book is pretty obvoiusly has gay furries and has 'adult content' plastered on the front, i'm sure one look and they'd be asking questions. Not the situation i want!

The second problem is even if i could get hold of the book without them noticing is that I can't pay for it. Although I am happy with paying for things online myself, i always use my dads pay pal, and then pay him back in cash. I do have a bank account but my dad has all the details and he watchs it closely and since i never touch it he'd notice a change. Basically if i was going to buy anything online i'm going to have to use my dads pay pal. This leading to the problem of what do i say? I can't really tell him i'm ordering a gay furry 'adult content' book online. This means i'm probally going to have to create another bank account and my own pay pal or something...

So the problem are simples. If i order this book and get it in the mail, i've got to either risk my parents suddenly finding out alot more about me than i want them too or I go through a long conversation which i know will end badly about how i'm bi. The only real alternate i have is to wait 2 years or more until i get my own place and pay pal to use.

So what do you guys think? It's probally not totally uncommon but it's still a akward situation. Also if you've read this far down you're either stalking me (which is highly unlikely) or you actually give half a dam about my personal life, either way you're probally thinking something, so comment! I'd really like to know what you lot think i should do.
Or do you think i should shut up deal with my own personal problems?
