I didn't realise it until my facebook reminded me that today seems to be the one year anniversary of when I first posted art of Ronnie.

So yeah, I guess May 31st is Ronnie's birthday.

A birthday that she shares with Clint Eastwood, Walt Whitman and Brooke Shields.

Going a little slow right now as I'm rounding into the painting phase on two projects.

Which makes me realise I think I still took on too much work...

I dunno, other artists, how long does it take you to knock out a piece of work? I always feel like I'm super slow on these things....even with a whole day to work on it now!


And yet I see other artists knocking out maybe three times the workload that I'm doing :(

So, I kind of hate to do this, but after taking on the last batch of commissions, I'm starting to realize that I won't be able to make ends meet at my current prices. My art takes a long time to do properly and if I undercharge, I'm just going to end up rushing artwork and have it not look great.

So over the next couple of days, I'm going to be revising my pricing structure to reflect that. If I get less people commissioning me, I'll just have to live with that, but that's much better than putting out substandard work.

I'll be offering discounts to patrons of my Patreon, of course, if you're investing in me for the long term, I will be able to put out better artwork.

If you're on my current list, don't worry, you're locked in at the old prices and won't have to pay any extra.


Tentatively I'm thinking about doing $125 for 2 char, full colour/shading + background. Yeah, I know that's more than a lot of you can afford, but honestly, I have to make a living on this now and I can't afford to charge any less than that with the hours I spend on a piece.

I'll be offering $50 for colour roughs, which will be full colour pieces, but without the time-consuming inking step. They'll be a little messy and loose, but they'll be doable at that price.

Again, if you were planning to get a piece from me currently, consider donating to my Patreon instead. Every last dollar counts and I will be offering discounts to commissioners who support me there.

Long story short: I couldn't take my boss anymore.

What this means for you: I'm currently planning to turn my art into my fulltime business, so that means opening up *lots* of commissions and potentially setting up a Patreon (support between $1-$5 with maybe 4 slots at $50 that get a commission a month)

Been drawing a lot of things for self improvement latley, but it seems that the better I think my art gets, the less people want to look at / share / comment on / commission it from me.

I'm either of the mindset that I should go on a days-long streaming marathong just drawing as much as I can....or take some time off and recharge myself.

Not sure which to do. :/

So I just got done with my day job and local Carnival, which means I'm due a little downtime.

I'm currently planning on starting a Patreon for doing at least one comic (maybe two, if in future I raise enough money to quit my day job).

One will be a furry adult comic, with a little slice of life drama, starring Ronnie and her supporting characters.

The other will be a comic set in Trinidad (my home country) based on local folklore but with the flavour of Japanese superhero tv (like Kamen Rider).

Is anybody interested in these? I'm trying to see if it would be worth pursuing.
