Hey all, I’ll keep this short and sweet because I’m doing my last lot of hospital ‘work experience’ and I’m bloody tired. I often hear a number of furs bitch that they can’t get any cheap commissions so I’m going to point out two lesser known (But skilled) artists that are doing that iron artist thingo. My friends are rather big on the whole clubbing scene which is fine until they get drunk and drag me away to dance. I HATE dancing but some songs just make me want to get my groove on, as terrible as it may be. 'Fire Burning' by Sean Kingston is my absolute bane, I don't know why but whenever I hear it I want to shake a tail feather. Does anyone else have a song that has a similar affect on them?

I just thought that I would clarify who and what is sticking around after I posted those random pictures a while back and to ask for ideas on names. I’m trying to stick with the theme of their names reflecting either their appearance or relating to the character in some way.

Vinn, a male green basilisk lizard, will slowly be taking over as my main. His name is an abriviation of the word vinnige which is the Afrikaans work for swift and quick.

Greenwing is sticking around now that he has a nifty new design.

Bifleur is a male greenwing/green winged macaw. I wasn’t sure what to name him, originally the word vlug (Flight) was floating around my head when  Runa216 suggested Fleur (French for flower) but we both thought it sounded too girly. When I joked that I should just call him Bill (A used pun) he counter suggested Bifleur and it stuck. So no, sorry bronys but his name has nothing to do with Fleur. Please stop linking that.

This mantis sadly doesn’t have a name yet. Any suggestions?

Right now university is kicking my ass hardcore but in the future I plan to even up the number ratio of male to female secondaries. Why? More variety and choice when it comes to getting commissions, although seven is a rather high number. Originally I was going to ‘adopt’ two interestingly designed characters from an artist but a couple of friends managed to talk me down. Good thing that they did it before Mass Effect 3 hit the scene cause one of them was related to the game and even with that HORRIBLE ending that species managed to catch my eye in the game. XD


For one I was considering an anthro fem compsognathus for a bit of size difference but I’m unsure about the other one. Other than Green (Being a dragon and all) all of the characters seem to be ‘nice guys’ so I might go with a bit of a bad girl for the last character. Sadly despite a lot of interest the hydra won’t be a regular character but if others are willing to contribute (And an artist is crazy enough) I might organise a group picture later on with them.

Just a rant, please ignore unless I speak to you on IMs. Also please don't comment on it, I'll likely take it down later.

I just wanted to let the people who I usually talk to on IMs know that I'm not going to be very active for a while.

We only have essays and classes right now but as of the 16th of next month I'll be on placement for a total of four weeks and in that time I also have to write three more essays and sit a bitch of an exam. Why the hell would you give students an exam during their placements?! At least this time it isn't all at a hospital. For two weeks I'll be doing something in the community so that will be different.

Anyway, after we get back from placement we have two weeks of normal lectures, then normal study week and exam block plus two more essays... and then no break. The bastards are making us start second semester straight away and while I normally wouldn't mind this it means that we go straight back to hospital for four weeks, two weeks normal class, THEN FOUR MORE WEEKS OF HOSPITAL!!!!!!

Dude, I'm not even getting paid to do this! I'm not asking for much, even a buck-an-hour would be fine but when am I meant to work and study? 12 weeks total placement time, that sucks. On the other hand that means that if everything goes according to plan (Which it won't cause we won't be able to get the work done in that time frame) it means that we will graduate early. The party that follows will go down in legend... presuming that I pass.

However all of that shit starts in a couple of weeks time, right now I'm just studying and playing Mass Effect 3. There are a lot of things that I don't like about the game but none of those issues are gameplay or story. If you haven't played it please rent out the second one and then play the third. I'll post a journal about that soon, promise.

I can't stand this! Officially it comes out in two days time but because Australia is cool game stores usually give it to us tomorrow. I seriously hope that this is the case because I am dying to play it! I read somewhere that America gets it on the 6th (Which probably means 'today' in a few hours) and if I start seeing journals saying how orgasmic it is before I get a chance to play it I'm going to cry.

And yeah, the 7th of January 2012 will be my 21st hatchday. I really, really, really wish that I could just disappear for that day, either turn invisible or go to some remote location and just chill for the day but sadly that is unlikely to happen. I live 30 minutes away from countless bars and nightclubs and while I don’t mind partying I HATE the spotlight being on me. I loathe it, there is so much pressure to perform and everyone’s attention is fixed on you. Worst of all... being my 21st I’ll probably be dragged to a strip joint. Can someone please explain those to me? ‘Look but don’t touch’ you mean that you go there to give yourself a cock tease? Not to mention that I feel bad for those poor women even though they would be earning a killing.

Going back to my previously mentioned idea of running away; I highly doubt that it would help. My friends would just wait until the next weekend and do it. *Sighs* Whatever happened to having a nice dinner with the family?

In my family this time of year has always been a family day and well, right now it is just my sister and myself in the house. My dad had a trip booked months ago and my mother's mother just had a stroke and she flew out a few hours ago. Gran is alright, will recover completely hopefully, but mom still wants to go make sure that she is coping. For those that don't know I was born in South Africa before moving to Australia when I was 12.

So does that mean that Christmas this year is going to suck? Yeah, probably. We have nothing planned but I'm sure as hell going to make sure that we are stuffed. For those that don't know I am a pretty good chief and I have a very special gammon planned along with a few other tasties. Anyone else in Aus see how cheap hams were this year?

For those that didn’t know Greenwing was actually a last minute change when I was making a sona and I didn’t give his design much thought. A forest dragon clearly wouldn’t use its wings and so eventually they would lose them. While he does look pretty bad ass with them in some pictures in reality they would be useless and probably even get in his way. He is also meant to represent myself and I HATE flying. You should see what I look like when I’m on a plane, it is priceless! While Greenwing is moving away from my personality slightly to become his own character (Another will be taking on my direct personality) this common fear sounds reasonable.

I’ve spoken to a few people about this and so far everyone has said that removing them would be a very good idea but last night a friend made a very valid point. Another option would be to give him useless vestigial wings to indicate that his species are still evolving from the more typical dragon to a specialised forest dweller. This kind of threw me because up until that point him losing his wings was pretty much set in stone. I’m still 75/25 in favour of the complete wing loss but this is still something to consider.

I doubt that if I do keep them in some form that they will look like actual wings but maybe little moveable spikes/spurs on his back like those that snakes have. However I quite like the look of the smoothed back Greenwing, check out this picture. Doesn’t that look great? That would probably be the new design for Greenwing, although he would be a little smaller and not with such a chunky neck or ass.

Also what about his name? Everyone says that he should still have the name ‘Greenwing’ but I don’t know. What are your thoughts?

I'm a terrible person.

For all of those that don't know I'm currently studying to become a nurse. Every semester we have to go and do work experience or 'placement' in a hospital both so that we can get experience dealing with real patients and for us to see what different kinds of wards and fields are like.

This time around I've got two weeks at a mental health ward and another two at a random medical ward. I'm starting tomorrow so wish me luck!

I got the result for one of my exams back and, well, the results were rather unexpected.

There were 65 multiple choice, 30 short answer and 5 arrhythmias that we had to recognise. I made that multi choice my bitch, seriously, that was a breeze and the arrhythmias weren't hard either. But the short answer, holy shit, that was crazy. I probably skipped 10 marks worth and guessed another 10.

So how the hell did I end up getting 81%?! I doubt that I got all of the MC correct cause there were a couple of tricky ones and a couple that I checked up on so I know that I answered incorrectly.

Seriously WTF, I demand a re-evaluation! I couldn't have passed that well!

EDIT: And the class average was 71.5%

My fellow students and I are busy studying our asses off and writing essays at unholy hours of the night and we sort of need ways to keep ourselves awake. One of my friends is fond of asking about random things and the topic of tonight was "The strangest and nastiest things that you have ever eaten" and I think that I won.

Everyone else said relatively tame stuff like pigeon or something that was past its use by date... then they asked the ex-South African. This is pretty much the rest of the conversation:

Me: Tuna is easily the worst thing that I have ever eaten! Yuck!
Student 1: You are the only person in the world who hates the taste of seafood. :P I would have though you would have said something messed like monkeys.

So I don't know how you guys study for exams but i do my best under pressure, in those last few hours before an exam I'll take in more information than what I would do in an entire week. Anyway I don't know how everyone else drinks these things, they are toxic! I can feel my insides melting and if I didn't know what heart palpitations were I would say that I'm having them right now. Worst of all I KNOW what this shit is doing to me and I know exactly how bad it is for the body. This is why I hate studying medicine, I know how and why these two 500ml cans are going to play hacky sack with my organs but I'm are still going to drink them anyway cause sleep isn't an option!

So I just went to see the earliest screening possible of the newest Transformers movie on its opening day in Australia... and I am regretting it. So. Much. I’ll try and be unbiased in my little review of it (Although I am a Decepticon supporter)and I won’t give away that much of the story with the exception of two characters deaths but you can see them coming a mile off anyway. All I ask is that serious fans of the Transformers movies or even those of you loveable bastards that remember the days before Michael Bay got his hands on the movie rights, please, please read this before you go see it.

First off the special effects are mind-blowing, I honestly have no idea how they managed to make some of the scenery and if it is all CGI, damn, someone spent a lot of time in front of a computer. The actual transformers themselves look amazing too, flawless animation that surpasses the previous movies. Everything about this movie could have been epic... but then someone came and destroyed the plot. Actually it is great, fan-bloody-tastic until the big end battle. You actually see humans dying, A LOT of humans dying in fact so it isn’t just a robot war any more. Hell, the decepticons actually have a brilliant plan this time and have the man power to see it through! The Autobots need help from the humans and the humans can’t win without the Autobots, it is beautiful. Then a 12 year old came along and said, “Aw, the Autobots are awesome, they should rape those baddies and not lose any of the cool robots in the process. The humans can help too and those assault rifles that they have should be able to shoot through tank armour too! The baddies should also be STUPID and GULLIBLE. Yeah, that is a good movie!”

I won’t go through the plot but let’s just say that a plot twist comes out of nowhere. The makers of the film deliberately make you think one thing and in the very next scene they turn everything upside down! Bla bla bla, stuff happens and then suddenly the Decepticons, who had fewer and weaker troops than the Autobots, suddenly gain the upper hand. The Autobots future is looking pretty bleak until the final battle, then someone gives them god mode and they rape. They only have 9 troops and they completely annihilate the Cons. Ironically it the smallest two that actually get the most kills, after Optimus of course. The Cons are really organised and manage to stop the humans from striking back at them until the Autobots show up and magically get through their lines undetected. WTF. Oh, lets speak about the human troopers for a sec, they have what appear to be modified M4A1’s but if those things still shoot 5.56 rounds or if they do shoot larger bullets the recoil is nothing on them and they can fire them like a .223 round. WTF. The good guys manage to wipe out ever Con in the battle with inferior equipment and manpower and somehow the Cons go from being epic to pushovers. Also all of the Autobots that didn’t die don’t have a scratch on them at the end and in between the 2nd and 3rd movie Sam learnt parkour. Enough of that though, let’s talk about the characters.

Most of the new Autobots from the second movie are gone, meaning that somehow they were killed off camera; this includes those annoying, inbred twins. In their place there are cooler Bots and an interesting bariatric one that shouldn’t be able to move. All of the originals are there and Optimus is still a robotic Duke Nukem. On the other side Megatron has a bitching new alt form and in robot mode he is pimping it out, complete with hoodie/cape, awesome looking chains and a sexy gun. However he still has a massive gash in his head that they somehow weren’t able to fix and he is starting to rust. Starscream is back (<3) as well as a few randoms, a dude that can chew through buildings like a giant earthworm and the closest thing to a Predacon that we will come to see. The Con’s later get a massive amount of randoms and really cool air support but let’s stay focused.

Stop reading here is you don’t want any spoilers what so ever. However you know that you want to read it anyway.

EVERYONE DIES!!!

Well not everyone... but all of the bad guys. The Con’s are seriously overpowered yet drop like flies when the Bots show up. Seriously, they die way too easily. Even Starscream! How could they do that, the most interesting character on the Con’s side gets killed. BY A HUMAN!!! From there they all get raped and Optimus manages to do what he couldn’t do in the other two movies. While we are on Optimus his character is wacked. You could see it in the 2nd movie as well, he doesn’t care about taking prisoners, everyone that is against him needs to die! The Cons even take prisoners until McDreamy tells then to kill them. Optimus is every bit as twisted as Megs, he is a tyrant in his own right only he doesn’t want to kill the humans so that makes him good. The rest of the Autobots are no better, in one scene they rip apart a defenceless Con with their bare hands. Interestingly though five of the eleven Autobots die, three on screen and two off. One of the originals die in fact, and in a brutal fashion (Being rusted alive) so that is better than the last movie. At least some of the good dudes die but there could have been more. Are you telling me that six Bots could take out an army of Cons? Do me a favour! Apart from the ending (And Starscream’s death) that is what got me. They need to have believable numbers and be as vulnerable as their enemies. Having god mode is a load of shit. And the big bad went down far too easily! While we are at it lets see the Autobots take prisoners and not rape fatally wounded or outnumbered Decepticons, in other words, be good guys.

So now that they have killed off the main bad guys the only way to make another movie is to bring in Unicron. I seriously hope that they do and bring back Megs and the Screamer.

In short Transformers 3 is a load of shit. If you want to waste money and three hours seeing it, be my guest but don’t say I didn’t warn you. Oh, and if you actually read this to the end, thanks, I am very surprised.

Oh yeah, and strangely the robots have red blood. *Shrugs*

Sadly my university work is keeping me tied up, namely my two essays. Seriously, I've wanted to speak to you guys so badly but I haven't had the chance. My computer also crashed the other day and I lost a crap load of information some of which was sadly commissions. I have been lazy for far too long so I'm going to post what I have before anything else happens. I think that I lost three pieces of art, I know one (Or maybe two) were drawn by a good friend of mine,  EndlessHunter so go show her some love.
