I can't draw "art work" as such, but I am pretty good at making stuff with the proper tools.

Note the word _used_ Apparently the previous owner's goal was to see if they could damage every single thing the machine was capable of doing.

Did you know if you bind up a gear train and continue to force it, you can get the gears to ride up on each other and actually deflect the shaft they're mounted on? Yeah, I was pretty impressed when I measured 0.011" out of round on a 1/2" diameter x 4" long cross shaft. Amazing.

So, while my friends here on FA are busy drawing, writing and doing "art" stuff, I'm busy ordering replacement parts for this poor abused piece of machinery.

First of all I would like to say that I am taking donations to help my dog, Rain out. She is very sick and needs all the help she can get. Now to get the word out I am running a raffel where you get an entry just by sharing this journal to get the word out and posting the link to the journal onto here. From KayiFox: Update Tuesday Jan 17th
So my dog has been on 3 pills 2x a day and now today at 2 PM Mountain Time (about 1 hour from posting this) I will be taking her in for more blood work. My dog acts like she is drunk all the time and limps around everywhere. it is really a sad site to see and makes me cry. I have had alot of help but still not close enough to get either xray (which I was told will not show too much to help), Ultrasound (which is the most expensive plan but may or may not show anything), or a biopsy (which I hope doesn't have to be done cause thats surgery). So far without paying the vet is only able to do blood tests and randomly make guesses and give pills. I really hope I can give my dog real treatment.

Bunners is going to let y'all in on a little secret for making something yummy for the holidays.

1 bag of 15 bean soup beans. (let soak in water over night)
2 ham hocks (Pull them out after cooking over night and give to the dogs, they'll love you)
3 red bell peppers. Just the outsides sliced into 1/4" strips.
1 package of celery, wash and chop into 1/2" pieces.
1 bottle of button mushrooms.
i package of green onions, just the green part chopped into 1" pieces.
1 package of carrot slices.
3 medium white potatoes slide into chunks (leave the skin on)
2 tablespoons of "ready mix" chopped garlic in a squeeze bottle.

Put the hocks on the pot and cover with the beans.
Cook the taters and carrots for 15 minutes in boiling water. (I hate crunch veggies)
Pour everything except for the carrots and tater over the beans and hocks.
Add enough water to just barely cover it.
Add the carrots and tatters.
Put the crock on HIGH until things start to simmer then put back on low.

Come back tomorrow and have a food induced orgasm.

My thoughts on this are:

If you look back on entertainment, i.e., radio, movies, television, the content stream during what was called the "golden years" was limited.

Now that just about anyone can, and does post content, it shows an ugly truth about content. "If enough people piss in the stream, nobody can drink from it."

And the "major" providers are guilty of it too. When they start chasing all the niche markets, the over all quality of their work suffers too because they get spread too thin trying to grab every last pair of ears or eyes.Or even worse, they go for the "least common denominator" approach.

What's an artist to do? Do what _you_ want to do. Do it for yourself. Share it with others, because a few of us truly appreciate your work.

As you know, I lost in the recent election. However, things have gotten rather strange out here despite that.

The city counsel consists of 4 elected commissioners and the Mayor.

The good citizens elected a convicted felon to one position, but he's barred by state law from serving in that position. (Or at
least until he gets a pardon from either the governor or president.)

So, we're down to 3 counsel members.

One counsel member had his son get seriously hurt while serving in Afghanistan, so he flew to Bethesda Maryland to attend to that.

Now we're down to 2 counsel members.

Last week, one of the remaining commissioners was taking a prospective buyer up in a flight prior to selling his airplane. It crashed on takeoff. Killing both.

Now we're down to 1 counsel member.

Friday, the Mayor (84 years old) suffered a heart attack.

The city is without much of a staff left
