General | Posted 11 years agoI figure I should give some info on who the person behind Grissoul really is.
My name is Amanda, and like my fursona I am 26 years old. I live in Michigan and attend local meets. I am married to a wonderful man, who although he supports my love of the furry fandom, he is not a part of it. We live in our own home full of our own two children, a crazy mutt named Rover, and two fat cats OMGmuffinz and Dr. Who.
So who am I? I'm a disabled veteran who served 5 years in the navy, college student, mother, fursuiter, and attempting to be a crafter. Usually I am a very laidback calm person, but I battle PTSD and bipolar disorder so life can get pretty hectic. For the most part I am in control of my issues, but there are days where I can't always handle all that life has shoved on me. Thankfully in this wonderful thing called the furry fandom I have found acceptance and friendship which has made life just a little bit better.
I'm not one to rant so I'll stop where I'm at.

Who Is Grissoul?
General | Posted 11 years agoFigured I'd fill this out and give a little insight into who my fursona Grissoul is. She's been a concept and a character of mine from childhood. She was derived from my love of the Redwall series and has been with me for too long.
1) What's your character's name?
Grissoul or Griss
2) How old is he/she?
26
3) Is your OC a boy or girl?
Girl
4) What's his/her race?
Anthro Cross Fox
Appearance:
1) If this character were to suddenly become part of the real world, and ended up in a heavily-populated area, how many stares would he/she get?
She would probably be very sensational and attract a lot of attention. Which wouldn't be good as she doesn't like to be the center of attention.
2) Is your character considered normal in his/her own world?
In the furry world Grissoul is probably almost considered common and maybe a bit dull. She is not flashy in her looks or behavior.
3) What would be his/her most recognizable feature(s)?
Her dark mask around her striking eyes
4) Would you consider your OC attractive?
Yes, she's not some sexpot but she's not some dowdy housewife either.
Personality:
1) Temper:
She is a calm and gentle soul. Extremely empathetic and loving towards others. But, piss her off and her wrath knows no boundaries.
2) Does your character ever get depressed?
She does at times. Grissoul shares a very depressing upbringing which at times can cause us both to be depressed.
3) Leader or follower?
She's a born leader with natural relation skills
4) What is the main aspect of his/her personality?
Very loyal and kind. Grissoul will go out of her way to avoid saying anything negative about anyone as she realizes everybody is special and important.
History:
1) Does your OC have a family of any sort?
She really doesn't discuss her family often, but she has a mother and father whom she does not speak to.
2) Is your character out on his/her own?
Yes. She prides herself on being independent and self sufficient
3) Has he/she encountered any traumatizing events?
Yes. Her family growing up was very abusive and neglectful.
4) What was probably the best time in his/her life so far?
When she moved out on her own and realized how wonderful life can truly be.

2) Has your OC developed any romantic relationships?
Not yet

No
4) Does your character like flirting?
A little bit as long as its just harmless and playful.

Nah, I know her so well she's a part of me.

No, she is very big on staying out of trouble.
2) What are three weaknesses in him/her?
1. Cigarettes, she just can't seem to quit completely.
2. Loyal to a fault can't see the bad in others
3. Food, she can't help herself around bacon
3) Strengths?
Empathy she can almost feel others pain and has great insight
4) Does your OC drink or smoke (etc.)?
She may have the occasional beer in the summer but that's the extent of her drinking. She smokes cigarettes when stressed. She has tried illegal drugs in the past but is now against them
5) What's one quirk about him/her?
Not sure.....
6) Does your character have any phobias?
She is terrified of touching raw meat lol
7) What could you do to get him/her into a blind rage?
Bad drivers?
8) Does your OC like chickens?
What ox doesn't like chicken.....mmmm especially teriyaki chicken.

FURMEET OCTOBER 18th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
General | Posted 11 years agoAlrighty all my fuzzy friends the October meet will be held at 2pm and we shall start out at the Benton Harbor Steak and Shake. Afterwards we will go to Barbotts farms for pumpkin picking and possibly the corn maze which will be followed by pumpkin carving at my house. Finally if anyone is up for it I'd love to end the night at Niles Haunted House. Below is listed the locations and websites to each of our destinations. The haunted house can get pricey for those on a budget. Please plan accordingly as prices for all events are on each web page. I'd love to have as many suiters as possible to make some video for a youtube page I plan to start. Hope to see you there!

October Furmeet!
General | Posted 11 years agoI'm trying to organize a fun furmeet for October. I was thinking pumpkin picking and carving as well as the possibility of doing the Barbott cornmaze in suit. My goal is to get many suiters and create a youtube video as I would love to create an account starring our local group! I am more than willing to host the carvings as I have a whole set up! I was looking at the dates of Oct. 11th or 18th. Please comment on what works best for you!

General | Posted 11 years agoI'm looking to do a pursuit putting around Halloween just some pumpkin picking and carving in suit. There's a great local farm to go picking and I have the set up to host multiple people carving. I want as many suitors as we can get at least for the pumpkin picking part as I'd love to get this on video. If anyone is interested let me know what times and dates work for you.
Fur Meet 9-13-14
General | Posted 11 years agoFinally the stars aligned and I can attend a fur meet. Even better there should be a bonfire at my place afterwards. I love hosting events and having people over so I'm excited. I wish I could make the GR meets more often I've made some great friends up there but with my husbands crazy work schedule it's not always possible to make the long trek there.
