A Bittersweet Goodbye to My Art Commissions
Posted 4 months agoIve gotten concerned messages and comments. It’s time i addressed this.
This post has been a long time coming and I want to express it with the sincerity and clarity it deserves. After much thought and reflection, I’ve decided to officially close my art commissions and step away from my role as a furry/anime artist.
Balancing my art with my second job has become increasingly difficult, and the reality is…art commissions simply don’t pay enough for the time, energy, and effort they demand. I’ve reached a point where I have to prioritize my livelihood and long-term goals, and unfortunately…that means letting go of something I’ve loved doing for many, many years.
To be clear:
- I’m closing all art commissions, including YCHs, effective immediately.
- I will still complete the final few pieces in my current queue…those will be honored and finished with the quality and care they deserve. I’m not going to be lazy with them.
- I will not be selling my characters. They are still deeply personal to me, and I’m keeping them close.
- My account will remain up. I won’t be deleting anything and you’re welcome to continue enjoying the work I’ve shared over the years.
- There may be a time in the future where I reopen, but it won’t be anytime soon. For now, I need the space to focus fully on where my path is leading.
To everyone who supported me…thank you. Truly. For over five years, I’ve been blessed with kind clients, encouraging messages, and a community that believed in me. Whether you commissioned me once, shared my work, or simply left a kind comment…your support meant the world.
This isn’t a farewell forever, just a turning of the page. I hope you’ll continue to support me in my next chapter, even if it looks a little different than before.

-It is important to fully read through Dukos Drawings Terms of service before commissioning for any artwork-
General:
~ By commissioning Dukos Drawings for digital art pieces you are agreeing to these terms
~ Dukos Drawings has the right to refuse a commission for any reason
~ Duko as the artist, maintains all rights to completed artwork. Duko has the rights to repost and use completed artwork as advertisement and examples in their portfolio.
~Clients may repost commissioned artwork, but must credit Dukos Drawings or the artists personal account as long as no profit is being made by the client. (no selling the artwork on T shirts/prints/merch unless given written permission from Duko/the artist)
~Duko does not claim rights to any characters or other intellectual property used in the process of creating the artwork.

Ordering an art piece:
~A sketch will first be given before payment is taken. Only when the sketch is approved of by you, will I then accept payment and continue. (This only apples to commissions. Not YCHs. For YCHs, I ask for payment upfront.)
~Quotes can be requested at any time, but only last for 1 month. Must give a description of what is wanted with a digital refsheet.
~If a commission involves characters belonging to other people, written permission from the other character owner(s) must be provided or they contact me to confirm you have permission to have a piece created with both your characters in.

Payments and returns:
~Payment is taken via paypal in USD only ($) An invoice will be sent for payment.
~100% of total art cost is non-refundable once paid after approved sketch as to cover initial planning time and to prevent time wasters.
~Once full payment has been received the piece will be completed fully and sent.

WIPs and deadlines:
~WIPs will be sent throughout the piece being completed (sketch, lines, flat colours, finished piece)
~During the sketch and line stage, changes can be requested, (nothing drastic unless I am at fault on pose or key part of character).
~All completed pieces will be sent via email as to ensure quality is preserved.
~Duko does not accept deadlines on art usually, however they can be requested and a rush fee may apply if the deadline is accepted.
~Usual completion time is a week to 1 month, depending on place in queue, payments and communication time.

Other:
~Duko will draw NSFW art. (kinks, light gore, some fetish art) however commissions may be refused depending on the topic. Cub, NSFW feral pieces, hateful images ect will NOT be accepted.
~you must be 18+ to commission NSFW art (ID may be requested, along side proof that the ID is yours, so please be prepared to provide it if needed) no NSFW examples will be shown before age is confirmed.
~All emails sent/received will be stored for a period of 1 year. This is for my own records and to protect me from reverse scammers during and after the commission has been completed as there will be proof of it being drawn, approval of each WIP stage, proof of sending and the commissioner's agreement to this TOS.
- You are not allowed to edit or feed my art into any AI systems.
- if you start making me uncomfortable for any reason, I will refund you and let know the reason, then proceed to block you.
